Went to get an inspection sticker, fast service

Had an appt for a state inspection. I came at the hour we agreed on and was told they were busy and couldnt see me for at least one hour. Not professional.

Columbia Auto has worked on my car on four separate occasions now. I have been very happy with every single time they have.. When they give me an estimate. Every time I pick the car up the final price is the same as the estimate, EVERY single time!!! I never feel like they are looking for things to fix..I would absolutely send my friends and family here..I will continue to have them fix my car as long as I live in Rhode Island!!

We have been bringing our car here for over a year now & have received great service each time! Beyond satisfied w work done. Prices are really fair & way less than most mechanics I’ve used in the past. I definitely will bring our cars here in the future!

My van was stuck with a dead battery a few blocks away. They came over and worked at it until everything was back to normal. Excellent service.

These guys are pretty good I will be a customer for life. They very humble and respectful, and actually treat u like a customer. I been here a few times. I generally dont write reviews on anything. But these guys deserve it. Im here now for some warranty work basically, and we all know warranty work it can get crazy with all the fine print. But not with these guys no problems and Ill be outta here in an hour or so....

The guys here changed my oil within 20 minutes and did it at a great price!

Got brake pads and rotors replaced on short notice. Timely service, good communication, reasonably priced. Let me do a test drive before paying. Overall great experience!

I bring my own oil and fancy filter that costed me $35. I call twice and they confirm they can put replace the oil for $20 since i have my own materials. I catch the kid putting cheap oil and cheap filter from their supply after me giving my stuff to them and telling three people to make sure. I tell them and they tell me they put my oil. Sure maybe it was a mistake, but I was still charged assuming something was done. Day later my engine won’t run well, I check and they never even put oil! when I told them to stop putting the cheap oil and handed them my new expensive oil they didn’t put my given oil and fancy filter! I paid $20 for them to steal my $35 oil and filter and potentially ruin my engine. I refuse to contact them or approach, its a very sketchy neighborhood and no answers. Stick to N Providence.

Im just going to write out exactly what happened :( I hope its helpful.I brought my 2008 Honda Civic to Colombia Auto Services because the heating gauge was on high. A mechanic at the shop referred to as “Junior” told me I needed a new water pump. Later he informed me that while he was trying to replace the water pump he had broken the crankshaft pulley, and also that he had to weld a new bolt and stud. Each time Junior told me that the car would be ready, I would show up, and he would then ask me to come back at a later time, because the car was “very complicated”.After the water pump was replaced, he informed me that there was a crack in my engine block and that I needed a new engine, which made me doubt that I had ever needed a water pump. I asked for the parts that were taken off, and was told that the broken portion had been “lost”. I was then given a working water pump. I was very concerned about my car so I payed and picked it up to get a second opinion. When driving it home from the shop the car was making loud rattling noises, so I had it towed to the Honda dealership.The dealership informed me that my car had a recall on the engine block and therefore, Majestic Honda replaced it. They also informed me that the water pump was installed incorrectly and that I needed a new water pump kit. Furthermore, I needed a new crankshaft pulley because it was stripped, as well as a new bolt and stud because the wrong type of bolt had been welded in place. There was also a large gouge in the timing chain cover. Thanks to Majestic Honda in Lincoln, RI my car is now up and running.

Took my 2005 Civic here because it was overheating. Also asked them to install new headlamps I bought and do an oil change.There have been some major changes since I was last there 6 months ago. Much more organized and the store interior has been re-done. Last time they merely jotted my name and number down on a scrap of paper. Now they have a proper record system. Last time it was sort of ambiguous who I was supposed to talk to. I just sorta waited around until someone noticed me. Now there is someone behind the counter.Work was finished in 24 hours and total cost for new thermostat, headlamp installation, oil change and an iced tea was $245.

Be Very Weary, if I was You I would find a Better Place. Not a Properly run Business

They are the best I knew them since they took over over 7ys ago I never had any problem they are so good I dont know what cheap is but anything I had to fix the price was good nothing serious just oil change and break but other then that I love them good work they do

I have been going to Columbia Auto for many years, it has always been ambiguous about pricing but I have been able to manage fine. Recently they began to do bodywork. I have a old Honda Accord so I didnt want to pay much nor did I expect much. I took to Maaco for an estimate, and then took to Columbia thinking I would give my local shop the business.I spoke with Naud and asked him if he would do the job for the same price as Maaco, he agreed ($400). When I went back to pick up the car Naud was not there, and instead Junior said the charge was $550. I was very upset and asked him to call Naud; but he refused to talk to me on the phone. I know these guys for the last 6 or 7 years, I have recommended them to friends and family. But I no longer due; PLEASE BEWARE, it is a shady operation and will not return or trust my car with them again. Their lack of professionalism and ethic is very sad.To add the paint job is done by a complete rookie, spots all over. I didnt expect much but it is worse than I imagined it would be.

I went to this business to do an oil change, I asked one of the mechanics how much it was going to cost they told me $ 40. And when I went to pick up the car, the owner or the manager charged me $ 85. I asked him about a tune up and the Doña told me that they did it for $ 480 to $ 500 .. thieves
