The 40 minute wait is the soul reason for my three star review. They were polite and accurate with my order. One suggestion would be that they offer to cook the bacon to the desired liking of the customer. It is a spunky environmental feel.
The bagels here are thinner and crispier. The lines do get very long but moves fairly fast. Service us nice and friendly. The eggs however remind me of McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts sandwiches...a large square slab right in your sandwich. Fake powder eggs maybe? Thats a little disappointing.Coffee was mediocre
At this point this place does not need more 5 stars, but the food and staff deserve every bit of it. I knew the owner when she had that corporate job and let me tell you, she is passionate and hardworking. Support small businesses!
Lovely interior to start with. I had the deviled egg sandwich with bacon and cucumber and my sister got the vegan veggie sandwich. Both were yummy. But my favorite were the halva chocolate cookies. I bought 1 then had to go back in line to get more. Overall I think this place is worth your visit. If you dont like bagels its worth a trip to try their other baked goods.
Awesome little bagel shop on the east side that in my opinion easily beats Providence Bagel. The owner went to MIT, and you can tell with the intelligent and efficient set up during Covid restrictions. The food is delicious and you can build your bagel however you want with a great selection of add-ons. They also have a ton of pantry items and run a really cool bi-weekly grocery bag program, and although it is a little pricy the cost subsidizes fresh produce for folks in need! They do sell out of certain bagels pretty early some days, so you’ve gotta be quick (or smart and pre-order the night before on their website) if you want something specific.
I hope a better bagel shop that doesn’t put overcooked reheated egg pucks between rubber closed textured bread takes its place.
Such a great space. Well-designed and great colors. The choices are delicious for bagels and all the additional items you can add on them. Folks from all kinds of backgrounds are in the restaurant. The space is clean and well-maintained. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It would be great if they had soups as well. I highly recommend it
Draconian in-store ordering procedures complicated by their refusal to toast a bagel. I understand a good fresh bagel should never be toasted but what of the cold (20 degrees below room temperature) pretzel bagel I waited twenty minutes for. I suggest they take them out of the freezer/refrigerator earlier in the day.
The bagels are great (4 stars) BUT my husband and I stopped here and ordered egg and cheese sandwiches on Saturday morning before we left town, and were appalled when we opened our sandwiches.Guys...what is this?! Why go through the trouble of making a delicious bagel and then offer an egg product that looks like it was made by Fisher-Price? Really disappointing. We ended up eating the bagel dry. Stick to the bagels alone and dont waste your money on the egg sandwiches.
It was a snow day so I decided to walk to this place to get lunch with my daughter. unfortunately we didnt know it was only online orders. Sadly i didnt bring my card only cash. Thankfully a kind employee gave us some good bagels on the house so we didnt have to leave empty handed after all those walk . Not only is the bagels GOOD but so are the people that work there.. we love the Rebelle BAGELS and cant wait to order soon. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful. 🙏
I LOVE this place and hope they reopen sometime in the not-too-distant future.
I had the best bagel Ive ever had here. Highly recommend.
As good as, if not better, than any bagel shop in NYC. Also, way better service than any bagel shop in NYC. Pumpernickel Everything on weekends is bae, but they also make the best egg bagel under the Sun. I know I sound hyperbolic, but Im downplaying it.
I was very disappointed with the service. With the weather, I was about half an hour late to pick up my order and when I asked about them toasting me another bagel it seemed like I was asking for a dozen free bagels. Refused to remake my bagel putting all the blame on me on me for being late, which I understand I was late, but it was like no one even wanted to work with me. The woman could care less and went back into the building cackling after seeing how frustrated I was. Honestly the worst customer service I’ve seen in a very long time. Didn’t think I was asking a lot to remake my bagel especially since I tipped 20 percent, but I guess so. Now seeing a review below about someone getting a free bagel, I’m shocked that person and I went to the same place. Would not recommend and certainly won’t be back.
These bagels are TASTY. Always be sure to pay attention to what the wildcard bagel option for the day is! I got a beer/cheddar one once as a result and it was everything I wanted and more. Classic standbys are the egg bagel (regrettably on Fridays only...I know) and the everything. Pretzel bagel is a fun twist too on a normal bagel! :P Egg & Cheese is normally my go-to, and you can add avocado and jalapenos to it for more flavor-building.One thing I really would love is if they had more of the egg white sandwiches ready in the mornings. Ive had at least two occasions where I have gotten there at 9/9:30 and theyre sold out. However the normal egg & cheese is so good that it can tide me over for now.
You should come to this place! Doesnt matter if youre from out of state! I traveled all the way from Baltimore, MD JUST to come and taste these amazing delicious bagels!!! They have sweet treats like cookies and chocolate babka, as well as drink options too. Good prices and friendly staff. The owner is there and isnt afraid to run any position if her team needs it.
Line was long when we walked in but it moved quickly. Food is kind of pricy but if you just get a single sandwich with nothing to drink the price is fair. Its a smaller place with not much seating so taking your order to-go might be the best option. The food was very good and the bagels are very fresh! We were here during their soft opening and they were selling out of bagels quick so make sure you get here early before they do sell out of certain menu items!
Rebelle has incredible food and incredible service! The roasted garlic bagels on Thursdays are amazing. Since the pandemic, Rebelle has been doing online ordering and pickup. The system works really smoothly and wait times are generally pretty short. Rebelle has gone above and beyond in pivoting for the pandemic - from weekly meal kits, pizza, and grocery bags, to creating a simple and effective system for ordering and pickup. Theyve also been communicative about whats sold out and whats not (gotta get those garlic bagels early!), and recently helped me troubleshoot some issues I ran into on the website. I order from here a lot and they are always amazing.
Great bagels! Deliciously versatile menu. All fresh ingredients, you cannot go wrong.
I’d give this place six stars if I can. Dill lox sandwich with veges. Vegan sandwich with cashew spread, jalapeno and veges. Simply amazing. If Noah’s Bagels are like Starbucks coffee, Rebelle’s are like like the best of the best from ur favorite barista at a gourmet shop. Decor is hip and friendly. It’s a bit of a wait to prep ur sandwiches but well worth the wait and also u can pre-order them online. I wish I had this place in my hometown.
Rebelle and Providence Bagels are locked on this battle royale for excellent food, coffee, and service. I am an American and an underdog fan, so I fight for Rebelle. Bagels are the best around, actual sandwiches are on par with Providence Bagel, cold brew is so so good (absolutely the best i have found the entire region - New England). This is worth the trip. Come to Rebelle!
Based solely on the food, I would give this place five stars, it was delicious, like incredible. The only downside is that its a little pricey for what you get but its definitely worth it to try it at least once. Also its kind of messy to eat and we didnt get napkins so be prepared!
Awesome authentic bagels, sandwiches and pastries. Order ahead on the weekends! Totally worth it!
People whine about the ordering process but the bagels/sandwiches are amazingplus they get borealis iced coffee which is my favorite coffee in RI
Great people. Great service. Wonderful bagels. Their beet bagel is my favorite. Prices are on the higher end.
This spot started out as a random craving for an easy breakfast but quickly turned into a Sunday tradition! The line is not as scary as it looks, but definitely worth the wait. One of the best nitro cold brews I have been able to find, and the bagels with cream cheese or even a breakfast sandwich are always a good choice. If you like sweets, try in of their pop tarts!
These are honestly the best bagels I have ever had
Unfortunately had high hopes for a top notch bagel from such a highly rated artisan bagel joint, but was sorely disappointed. Sesame seed bagel was the equivalent of a stale microwaved bagel bite from 2002–it was hard, had the texture of a cracker, and cut the inside of my mouth if I wasn’t careful. Would have left a one star review but the deviled egg filling was solid but couldn’t nearly make up for the damage that was already done by the terrible bagel experience. Would maybe be willing to give this place another try at a time when the wait isn’t so awful. Better luck next time with the PVD bagel scene...may have to go down to NY or NJ to get a real bagel.
I loved the bagels, they were absolutely delicious! I also ordered two coffees to-go and a hot tea to-go. The lids for the to-go cups were not properly situated on the cups causing hot liquid to spill on myself as well as my other passengers. After further examination of the lids, it seems as if they may be the incorrect lids for the cups. They very well could be the correct ones and someone improperly put them on, however, I thought it was worth bringing this to the attention of Rebelle in order to do a quality control check. To clarify, I am by no means upset and I will still purchase bagels from this establishment.
Great vegan bagel options.Who would have known that Id love kombucha squash on a bagel?
Awesome vegan sandwiches, the cashew spread is so good! The people who work there are always so sweet
Excellent assortment of tasty and fresh food, fast service, good location.
Vegan dream is delicious! Their cashew cream cheese is double the deliciousness. Coffees great, people are super friendly! I wish they stayed open later but it is a bagel place so its understandable! Bagel sandwiches make a nice lunch though (;
This place is a little slice of heaven. Even when is super busy you are happy to be there. The music is always so good, not to mention the food. FYI, no gluten free options here. Try the beet, dill, sauerkraut cream cheese, its so salty and flavorful 😍
Absolutely fantastic! Staff is very friendly and the food is the best. Hands down the best bagels in town.Even in the midst of the Pandemic, Rebelles continues to try hard to serve everyone and in a socially distrant manner. We go a number of times per week!
Cool place and delicious bagels. Im pretty picky about my bagel choices, but they didnt disappoint. The lox is particularly amazing.. they had two options, both smoked in house with different flavors.. I went for the dill lox and oh man, so flipping good. I would definitely get that every time.
A touch thinner than I like. I dont know where I get it from, it may be from my NYC friends in college, but I dont want my bagel toasted. When I go to a bagel shop I expect to be asked if I want my bagel toasted. I wasnt asked that, and it was toasted. While it was fine, I need to go back and tell them not to toast it next time. Husband loved the maple cream cheese. As it stands now, Im going with 3.5, but I will go back to try it not toasted.
A lot of hype around this place, probably because its a fun hip spot with a nice aesthetic. The bagels are very chewy, which some people prefer, my family included, but I vastly prefer the other bagels in town, even after giving this place a handful of chances. Also doesnt help to have heard the owner badmouthing customers for 10 minutes too loudly to ignore at another spot in town.
Rebelle has got to be one of the best bagel shops in the world. Sure, many folks agree it is the best bagel in RI, not a stretch to say the best in New England, but I don’t know of a place even in NY that makes classic, chewy bagels of such quality while also being so innovative and creative. They do some old school things well like whitefish salad, pumpernickel, chopped liver, if that’s not your speed they do comforts like ham egg and cheese deliciously, they have unique pastries that don’t exist anywhere else, the cashew cream cheese is also great, and they’re conscientiously run. It’s definitely a little expensive (it’s the, uh, Tesla of Bagels ! lol is that still a compliment) and they don’t have espresso drinks, but it seems everything is made in-house and they’re always inventing new things. I love Rebelle and everyone I know loves them.
Yup, these were definitely NY style bagels. Too bad we got there to late for the everything and pumpernickel everything. Yum.
Ordered a pretzel bagel with poblano cream cheese - very delicious. Agree with other reviews that the bagels are thin but believe they make up for it in bagel / cream cheese flavor. Excited to go back and try more!
I hate to write this, because I like Rebelles style and I like that they sell more than bagels - but the bagels are very middle of the road. I tried sesame, everything, egg, and pumpernickel (not altogether, mind) bagels and they all failed to impress. Maybe better than chains like Brueggers or Einstein Bros., definitely better than Dunkies, but worse than Providence Bagel, and significantly worse than what you can get at pretty much any place in NYC. Who doesnt put salt on their everything bagel?!With that in mind, I believe the bagel prices (at least for delivery) are a bit too premium for what youre actually getting. They dont have any locations near me, so Im sticking with Providence Bagel. I wish Rebelle continued success, and I dont regret trying them - theyre just not for me. Those toaster tarts are A+ though.
Hands down one of the best bagel places in town! Customer service was amazing. There was a mix up in our order and they immediately took care of it. Even provided us with free bagel tickets and a pastry. Would highly recommend going if you’re in the mood for great food and people!
I love this shop so much! Great bagels, great sandwiches, and fresh drinks! The vibe here is also calm and collected. I enjoy doing my work and study here with a cup of nitro brew. Also their cream cheese selection is flavorful and innovative!
My wife recommended this place and was not disappointed. Bagels were great. Had carmelized onion cream cheese and was awesome! Long line on Saturday around noon but that is expected for a great spot.
Rude, no signage saying you could not come in then employees made fun of me for coming in....
Good bagels with good chewy texture. We liked the everything, onion, poppy, sesame and cinnamon raisin. Speedy checkout that takes only cards. Theres another register that takes cash. They sell out so you should go early. The service was friendly and there was plenty of seating. Very chill atmosphere and good for hanging out.
Good, but not my favorite bagels in Rhode Island. My plain bagels had a subtle onion taste unfortunately. Savory onion and everything are the focus at Rebelle. Quite pricey at $10 for 6.
Love love love their bagels! Its a little further out for me since I live in east providence but its so good and so worth it! Lines move fast with their new system for taking orders. I would go there every day if I could!
Unimpressive customer service. I asked if I could use a code for a complimentary B-day treat when ordering online and, if not, whether it can be texted, relayed or even shown over the phone. It hasnt expired yet, Ive reached out, I should be able to use it, especially if they are still taking orders, are offering the pastries and running business. However, I was told Sorry, there is no option online to use the code and that therell be more opportunities in the future. Whatever that means. An active promo code that is offered by Rebelle Artisan Bagels should be honored by the business.
Quaint little bagel shop that is popular with college students. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is not much seating in the store but they have done the best they can with what they have. There are a lot of options for bagel toppings although they are limited to about 12 artisan style bagels. Coffee choices are also limited to cold and got brew of one flavor.
Interesting artisan place for bagels and more. Breakfast Sammie sandwich was delicious, as was their bagel with lox. Speaking of lox, theres two choices: dill or pastrami-cured. I wasnt feeling daring, so I went with the regular one, but it was nonetheless tasty. Coffee was pretty good, but could use the choice of medium or dark roast instead of just one. Will definitely be back!
Best bagel place in Providence hands down. Extremely friendly staff and the food doesnt compare to the local competitors. The bagel and lox are on point with great customization. The nitro cold brew is a personal favorite of mine. And the rotating specials with different house made cream cheeses is where its at.I would even say the prices are reasonable, Ive never been disappointed by this place.
Best pastrami egg and cheese Ive had. Bagels are artisan, so dont expect New York style... Also, their seasonal cream cheese are great (Maple sea salt FTW, especially on pretzel bagel).
Bagel sandwiches were delicious! We also had a junk cookie which was very yummy. And they sell Wrights Dairy Farm milk!
Undeniably The Best!!From the roasted garlic bagel to the pizza bagel and onto the berry crisp, everything was fresh, mouthwatering and delectable!! Everything my palate craved mid-morning today was met with culinary genius and seasoned to perfection, I will be going back shortly for more berry crisp for an afternoon treat. A new favorite place for excellence!!
Absolutely phenomenal: the bagels, service, ambiance, the list goes on! The vegan cream cheese is BY FAR the best that I have ever had. It blows every other one out of the water. Being a NY transplant, I must say that Rebelle bagels are truly incredible in their texture and flavor. It also bears mentioning that the staff seem very industrious and kind. What a pleasant experience. Keep it up!
Bagel was pretty good, but I waited over an hour for it. Maybe they were understaffed.
Im a purist and these are the best bagels in PVD- and the pastries are worth the trip in their own right, especially the pop tarts. *MAKE SURE YOU GO AT AN UNPOPULAR TIME ON THE WEEKEND OR PLAN ON STANDING IN LINE. (I say this not to scare you off, but just so you cant complain about standing in line...its worth it.)
Fantastic bagels! Had the lox sandwich on everything and the bagel was crunchy and just the right size. Better than most NYC bagels that are massive and have no crunch.
Best bagel place in providence. Like how they always have a smile on their face and appreciate your business. A friend of mine recommended that place and now my whole family loves it. Really the best ❤
Great bagels here. Taste chewy goodness and cream cheese was excellent. This place has friendly service and clean layout
The Mexican street corn cream cheese is life changing. That is all
I had heard good things about Rebelle Bagels, but it didnt even begin to describe how good it was. I cant wait to go back and try more bagel flavors. And despite it being a busy Sunday morning, the staff moved incredibly quickly, and I got my food and coffee in a very reasonable amount of time.
What a great addition to the Providence food scene. BY FAR the best bagels Ive ever had. They are the perfect blend of soft and crunchy just like they say. Their new home on the east side is a perfect, sunny corner spot on Doyle ave. All of the staff is friendly and its just a great atmosphere. Theyve also got nitro cart coffee!!! These are so good, I may change my route into work, and they could actually turn me into a morning person just to get there before they sell out.
Love love love. I go out of my way to go to this bagel shop and am impressed every time
The best bagels ever made. Delicious coffee and sandwiches available. Homemade cream cheese spreads are awesome. The price may be a little intimidating for some but everything is handmade and workers are paid fair wages so you are supporting local small business!
Nice hip environment, friendly staff. Tasty bagels but I would plump them up a bit and make them softer, less crunchy.
This place is awesome!!! Really yummy breakfast sandwiches and a cute atmosphere. We arrived at 1pm on a Sunday (1 hr before closing) and we were very happy to see that they still had plenty of bagels left!!!! Great coffee as well. Would highly recommend.
Love their hand rolled bagels. Fresh baked and have a great bite. They also have lox that are so flavorful and melt in your mouth. Try one of their homemade cream cheese flavors as well you wont be disappointed.
They are very kind and awesome! best bagles ever
One of my favourite spots in PVD. Amazing bagels with high quality toppings to add. Lox bagel is unreal
I went here for the first time after hearing several people rave about it. I ordered a bagel with lettuce, onion, cheese, and mustard (weird I know) and was told they couldnt do cheese because of their system and the oven trays. As I was waiting I saw an employee putting a piece of cheese on another bagel and asked why I wasnt able to get cheese on my sandwich and was told it was because there isnt a button to charge for it. I suggested they charge me for something else. They REFUSED to put cheese on my sandwich. It was so bizarre i actually asked if there was a hidden camera. Talk about not accommodating the customer. The bagel as just ordinary.
Great bagels and coffee!!! A nice selection of cream cheese flavors to top your bagels, everything was fresh and the bagels were still warm this day!!
Im originally from NJ and frequented Brooklyns bagel shops. Experience has shown me what good bagels taste like. Rebelle Bagels taste just as good as what I had back in NYC. So far their offerings are the best bagels Ive had in New England. The employees are very nice and professional. I didnt have to wait long for my order and the food was delicious and hot. They were playing a playlist of The Shins, so its got a low key hipster vibe which I dig. I enjoyed the decor and there were outlets for charging my gear. Clean bathroom too. Cant go wrong with this place - plus you get to support local business! Do it, you wont be sorry!
Seems to be a little disorganized, however, I know they just opened so that is common. The other day they sold us some coffee after they closed which was VERY nice of them! Once they get buttoned up I am sure they could get 5 stars!EDIT: They have definitely gotten their act together. Great place!
Great bagels and pop tarts. Also, best nitro cold brew weve had.
Nice, robust and relaxing space that could be used for small meetings between 2-4 people. The bagels are amazing and cream cheese options are unique and cater to a variety of options. Great spot to go to whether you are a PVD native or not.
Great service! Best bagel spot in RI, hands down! I enjoy the vegan dream on an everything bagel!
Great bagels and sandwiches.
Amazing place! Every time Ive eaten here Ive discovered some new flavor. Fresh bagels, creative sandwich combos, interesting soda and lemonade.
My experience here was absolutely great, but honestly the bagels theyre serving up arent exactly earth shattering or anything. However, they will keep you coming back for a good experience everytime.
Terrible experience. Staff was rude and gave off a very sexist/feminist vibe. Was spoken over multiple times while ordering, to speak to female patrons, the Portion of meat on the sandwich was minimal, bagel was over toasted and way over seasoned. Of all the local bagel shops in town I definitely will not be revisiting this one anytime soon. If I could give zero stars I would.
Extremely, incredibly, astoundingly expensive for a just-average bagel sandwich. Fun to go for a special occasion, but I have no idea how people can afford to go there every morning.
I have been driving past this place for almost 4 months; two weeks ago I decided to go in for my morning coffee/ bagel. Now when I have work on Saturdays, I know EXACTLY where to go. Staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. They make their own bagels fresh, and even season their own lox!
Awesome place, great people.
My it complaint is the wait time, how or why does it take 20 minutes for a bagel w/bacon cream cheese spread. Went at 1pm only 7 orders in the entire place and three of which were completed by the time I cashed out.And for reference I never give 5 stars. Everything else is phenomenal.
