I came into exchange a product on my birthday the package was opened but not touched it didn’t end up matching the texture of my hair. They refused to exchange it without having a return policy that states so.

I was only supposed to come here to restock on shampoo conditioner and hair masks but I ended up spending $500 on so many things 😭😭😭 I love this store but I need to learn how to spend and save😭😭😭

I was hesitant to visit given some of the other negative reviews, but went when I was in need of a lace front. The young girl who was working the wig counter was so kind and helpful! She answered all my questions, gave me tips, and even showed me alternative colors and options. I had a great experience, got a super cute wig, and will definitely be returning! THANK YOU!

Favorite place for my daughter and I to shop for hair products etc.

(Covid-19) They do not wipe down the counter or the debit card machine after each person uses it.

They watch you intently as soon as you walk through the door. All on eyes on you and this makes you feel uncomfortable. They have plenty of stock of beautiful eyelashes and front lace wigs. You bring any children with you make sure they stay at your side, and be weary they do not like you touching any product.

They had everything I needed and more but good Lord did they follow my teenage girls around (as if we didnt notice) we found it funny and decided to have a little fun with it by staying longer and basically looking at everything we really didnt even need😁

I have never been treated as poorly in my entire life as I was tonight. As a 46 year old, college educated, intelligent woman with a great professional salary, I felt like I was treated like a little child who was stealing at a candy store. I have been a loyal customer for over 10-15 years and have spent thousands of dollars on the best, most expensive Remy hair Extentions they sell at their store.. I decided to take out my extensions and found it was easier to wear wigs instead for fun of when I want to change my look. I had just purchased 3 wigs a week and a half ago at THIS store and knew exactly what colors and style flattered me. I had even come in with hopes of having them order 2 wigs but they would not. I am a white woman with a lighter complexion and I don’t look good in dark hair colors. I find their selection of wigs is more geared towards someone who looks good in darker hair colors because many of their blond ones were very fake looking so tonight I struggled to find another wig that looked good on me. Although I tried on several, every wig I liked and wanted to purchase, they did not have available in the color I was looking for. That was when the owners told the sweet sales girl NOT to allow me to try on anymore wigs. I was so humiliated and embarrassed that tears welled up in my eyes. I had every intention of buying, not even just one wig but a few and had even attempted to have them order a couple for me that they did not have in stock but was told no, so it was not like I wasn’t TRYING to buy anything. My time is also valuable and I wouldn’t waste time trying on wigs if I didn’t intend to buy one. The final straw was when the owner came over and started talking about me to the girl right in front of me. I used to be a Chinese professor so I can understand Mandarin, however, she was speaking about me in front of me in English, purposely trying to humiliate me!!! I have never been treated so poorly, in any store, in my entire life. I have also never been more embarrassed in my entire life. I can’t imagine being stopped by an attendant at a clothing store to tell a customer they tried on too many clothes and were not allow to try on anymore. Seriously?? I have referred many students and friends over the years to this store. I have also referred many customers to this store as well (since I am also a makeup artist and do weddings and other events on the side). I will NEVER recommend this store again. Especially after being treated so poorly. On the positive side, I went home and found the same types of wigs online for a quarter of the price. I was willing to spend several hundreds of dollars tonight, but now, I will just order the same exact wigs online for 15-20$ instead of 90$ each. I had no idea they were jacking up their prices and robbing me as well. They should know you that you never humiliate or treat your customers with such little respect but apparently these owners are uneducated, lower class with no manners. Such a disgrace to most hard working local business owners in the community. I will write to the Better Business Bureau and will go out of my way to let people know how awful their customer service is.

Every girl who wears extensions, whether braids, sew in, glued, or wigs needs to visit them. They have everything. Downside is, they dont do returns but sometimes they will exchange. Then tend to watch you like a hawk or sometimes follow you like everyone is a thief.

1st time visiting a wig shop. The sales lady was so patient and kind. Will definitely be returning for another wig. Selection was good and prices are very fair. They carry synthetic, human hair, a synthetic human hair blend, full wigs half wigs and a large variety of other necessities needed

Today was my first time here, and it will definitely not be my last! The girl working behind the wig counter was awesome. Im new here, and she was very accommodating by recommending places I should go, all while I was indecisive about which wig I wanted to get! She was very knowledgeable! They have a variety of hair products and braiding hair! Everyone was so nice!

Great place reasonably priced good selection

These people are awesome. So friendly and helpful. Honestly, most wig shops are rip offs, charging 400.00 for a wig and up. They all say they support cancer patients. Yeah right, Im a cancer patient and I think its horrible they get away with charging that much. This place has a huge selection of human and synthetic hair with prices starting at 30 bucks. The owner and his wife have been in business for 30 years. I had a nice conversation with them. She even gave me the wig caps for free with my purchase. You do have to pay 1.00 to try on the wigs for the wig cap, but I respect that. You dont want to try something on thats been on other peoples head. Worth the trip. Wish I came here first.

Excellent customer service

As a displaced New Yorker, this is my go-to spot for velvet durags, curved wave brushes, pomade, moisturizer, and wave grease. Plenty of supplies for ethnic men with kinky hair and/or beards. If you need hair supplies, they have every brand you used growing up in addition to some new ones you may have never had access to. Love them and their new location (they used to be in Downtown Providence but needed to expand).

They sold me the wrong hair and would not exchange we spend a lot of money here and they are evil. Go to black owned businesses

Its nice and organized. I can easily find what I need. The setup is like their old store, Two Brothers in downtown Providence. It cheap and they have everything in any color. I go to get hair extensions because I braid my own hair. If I want any color, they got it.

Came in search of a specific product and searched all around for it. Was not able to find it and nobody offered to help me until I was visibly frustrated and about to leave. Once I was approached the staff was very helpful but they almost lost business because they never greeted me/ asked me if they could help me find something.

I love this store! They always remember me when I come in and I love that! Also the selection on hair products is enormous! From wigs,weave, and even costume jewelry they have everything a woman needs to feel beautiful!

I use to love to come here after today. I have a wedding coming up and I have dreads (neck length) and sometime I put on wigs on just to switch things up. Bridied asked me to go buy it but first I have to try it on. So I go in and I had to buy a cap which is 50 cents (can care less) but she refuse to give me a cap and said no. Asked her why she said your hair to big.They are races and hey follow your every move.

I dont appreciate being followed during my shopping experience. I am a 30-something professional who makes an honest living and dont need to steal to get what I need. Its sad that this store has a great percentage of minority customers who bring them sales but they still treat them like criminals. I will not be one of those customers. There are other beauty supply stores with much better customer service. If you dont like to be profiled while shopping then I encourage you not to shop here.

Customer service - there was none! Awful! Actually they wouldnt even answer a question! Huge inventory of hair accessories and pieces - only if u are a brunette. I would give it 5 stars for inventory only.

Im dissapointed I paid 300 for a wig that doesnt behave like its 300. 😞 tangles easily and I am a constant customer. I wish their was more honesty in their products.

As soon as I walked in, the owner told the other cashier to follow me. When the young women realized I understood what was said, she acted embarrassed and quickly chimed “welcome to unique beauty supply!” They further over inflate prices! You can find the same hair frost at Sally’s Beauty Supply for $1.79 a packet. They sell it for $3.99 a packet. They carry the Shea Mositure hair care line but you’re better off getting it at Target or Walmart. They double to triple the prices on basic hair products like shampoo and conditioner. When I stated how expensive their prices are compared to Sally’s who can be quite expensive also, the owner changed her tune and her true opinion of black women was written all across her face and in her response to me. I WILL NOT be back nor spend a dime in racist establishments, and hope women of color realize they DO NOT like us. Like all the other Asian businesses, they do no like people of color they just your money.

This store is nothing but LOVE they have the hair for ya !! A huge variety of. Long, short, straight, curly, locks, box fros, on the gos hair in there. You design it they will find it for you.

Women of color put so much money into this place our business enabled them expand their store. After all this, they have not provided a single bathroom for us to use. Thats offensive and just unappreciative.

They are VERY RUDE and FOLLOW black people around the store assuming that they will steal, which is obviously racist and ignorant. I will never go there again. Ive had better service at beauty works and they give their customers points with every purchase. Those points are redeemable in $$amounts. This is a real review and I look forward to the day someone Sues two brothers for harassment or wrongful accusations. They are disgusting.

What can I say about Two Brothers Beauty Supply in Providence, Rhode Island that would be a glowing recommendation? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Today was my third time being in the store and each time the people at the counter were rude and lacked customer service. I want to also mention that I have spent over $100 within the three days. Clearly, I went into the store to make purchases. But, I will NOT support people who are disrespectful and have poor business practices. First, as I stood at the counter, the young woman behind the counter saw the price sticker on the gel I was about to buy, spoke in Chinese to the rude Asian man and told me the price was wrong, and she took the sticker off of the jar. I protested that she had to sell me the jar with the price listed on it and not the $2.00 extra she suggested. She refused and I did not purchase the product. Second, after she rang up and charged my card for three packages of hair for braiding, she called me back to the counter and asked for my receipt. I gave her the receipt and she said, “I didn’t charge you enough!”“I need your card!” I refused to give her my card, and took the merchandise as well as my receipt. I explained their behavior demonstrated poor customer service and they were rude in the way they spoke to me. The Asian man said, “Fine, don’t come back into the store”. Seriously, that was his resolution… to ban me from the store. It was laughable indeed. He became even more agitated as I began to explain their practices lacked professionalism and I had choices of where to purchase my hair care products before I even considered coming into the store. Their unprofessional behavior, lack of flexibility and unresponsive behavior to my need as a customer is not favorable for a store, who serves a predominately black and brown population (in line behind me were at least a dozen people waiting to purchase Black hair care products)! I won’t even mention the millions of cameras installed as they watch potential customers every move. In addition, there are plenty of online businesses, Black owned retailers, not to mention AMAZON who have better prices. It is time for women to open their own stores in order to provide better service and prices for our hair care. And, put the pressure on this store, with an entire Asian staff, to change their behavior and practices. This store has come to believe they are the only game in town and we have no choice but patronage their business. Therefore, stop buying from them. Let’s be entrepreneurs and not consumers. Don’t be surprised if you see a popup store in Providence, Rhode Island to support our community with knowledge about our hair care products. This store needs a wake up call that we have choices in Providence.

They have a wide variety of products. Great quality and brands. The only problem I have with this store is that they have a way of making customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed by tailing them around the store. I find it to be insulting and poor taste in showing customer appreciation.

If I could give this place negative 1 star I would The Asian man in the front is extremely rude and unprofessional and mad ALL the time as others have said they watch you like a goddam hawk 👀 and all of their products are WAY over priced including the hair. You could order the same things or better with shipping included and STILL pay less than what they charge, the woman they had working their helping customers didn’t even have enough sense to cut the lace off her wig 🤭but you want to tell me what to do with my hair? And what I should be buying? First time there n found a nice wig for an event.

I went into the store today, I had a very kind lady helping me. I was taking some time because I was choosing a hair weave and I was a little indecisive on what color I should chose. As the nice woman continued helping me another lady(employee) walked towards us and she told the other woman she would take over from here. I asked to see a few items to compare it to my natural hair color, Every time the nice woman tried to get something for me the other employee pulled her back and told her no, she can get it herself. I asked if she can hold up the hair weave she was holding and she threw it on the table, i asked if she can comb it so I can see how it would look if i had it on she refused to comb it.After getting upset, I asked the meaner lady why was it such a problem for the other woman to help me. Is it a big deal if she provided service to me? there was no one else in the store to help. The woman told me I can look at hair in the front of the store and stop looking behind the counter, Why would I not want to explore my options?The woman then said to me oh, youre not going to buy an $80.00 pack of hair, you can go to the front of the store with the $20 ones you can look in the front of the store or you can get out.It was such a shame that is how I was treated. Yes, I am black, a college student and a manager at Nordstroms with well earned money, and only believe in buying quality even if it is high priced. ve been a faithful customer to that store for over 2 years and there are plenty of times I spent more than just $80 in the store. The woman insisted because I was black I wasnt going to buy anything behind the counter, I will NEVER give this store any of my money or my business ever again.
