Omg. Carrot cake is 11/10. The raspberry tart and pumpkin praline tart is to die for. Coffee drinks are on point. Canโt go wrong here at all. No dining inside. Tough to find a parking spot. Well worth wherever you have to park and hike from. Embrace your inner ๐ฎ๐น and take a stroll thru this iconic neighborhood
Pastiche Fine Desserts has been our staple for birthday, holidays, and celebrations for the last 30 years. When we got married last year, we knew that no other cake would compare so we elected for two large Old Fashioned Coconut and All-American Chocolate Cakes in substitution of traditional multi-tiered wedding cake. Ive included several examples of beautiful cakes they have made for our family in the recent past
Dropped off my freshman son at Providence College and decided to stop by at Pastiche for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat before heading back home.I absolutely love this cute little Italian pastry shop!!So clean and the ladies are all fantastic; so friendly and welcoming. The pastries are all fresh and homemade and absolutely delicious!!! Canโt say enough. Truly a awesome experience and a one of a kind pastry shop! I canโt wait to visit again. It was a wonderful treat!!โฅ๏ธ
Undescribable, dont go here if you have the munchies. Youll force them to kick you out! If theres a line dont be fazed, it moves really fast because the staff are so competent. Only issue is parking so drive slowly and make the passengers in your car responsible. Then make them pay when you miss a spot.
Delicious for sure! But not a very big selection. Would go more often if there was more to choose from, especially for kids.
Best cake in this area(and probably in New England!) with reasonable price. Decent and not that sweet. The fruit tart is so popular and you have to make a reservation before!
Cozy small European bakery with a friendly staff. Carrot cake one of our favorites, prices are modest. I would visit again.
They definitely use real butter, you can taste it. The triple layer chocolate cake was ok but not great, a bit dry. The coconut passion fruit cake was dry. There was a fly all over the desserts in one case and when I pointed it out to the sales person she just shrugged and said yeah when we start opening the door thereโs nothing we can do about that ๐คข definitely expected better for the price.
When it comes to all my baked good needs, Pastiche is my got to spot. They have it all here and everything taste freaking amazing too.
This is the spot!! For real all the baked goods are so insanely good it is not fair that I dont live above them. Go there get anything!! It is so delicious!!
Favorite place for dessertโs! Cannoli and tiramisu are the best!
As I have heard a few times, the best dessert place in all of Rhode Island. This place is small and quaint. However, service is quick and if you can get a table, its really cozy for an afternoon. I love the atmosphere and love coming back here. The scones and chocolate mousse cake are amazing! Look forward to coming back again very soon !
Im not sure about this place when its good its really good like the lemon moose case but some of their fruit centric dessert were not to my liking.
Everything was perfect. Cold brew was tasty. Fruit tart with perfectly picked fruit. Blueberry muffin with a sugared top without being too sweet. Will be a required stop anytime were in Providence.
One of the best places for desserts in Providence, unfortunately with the pandemic cannot enjoy nice hot cappuccino.Highly recommend the tiramisu and cheesecake but you cannot go wrong with anything.
This place looks amazing and beautiful both inside and outside. Planning on going sometime with my family to try the a few of the delicious desserts. I hope this place is as good as everyone else makes it seem both in photos and reviews. Im also hoping they have milk free products for me and my family are lactose intolerance.
I went for broke and had the chocolate torte, which came with a blast of raspberry sauce and rich whipped cream.Very good decaf mocha too!
Itโs usually delicious, so amazingโฆbut every time I get the banana pie it has absolutely no flavor, itโs like eating whipped cream to be quite honest.
I have been a costumer for years, normally itโs my favorite place to go. I went last night after dinner with my family and it was anything but pleasant. They have changed their hours of operation due to covid which is understandable, but did not reflect correctly with their hours of operation online. The staff wereextremely rude to me and my family, aggressively trying to get us out the door rolling their eyes that they had to serve us. They were rude and snappy about our order questions and didnโt want to politely explain or assist us in our order. After rudely telling us we couldnโt purchase any of the full cakes in the display my husband decided to just get a brownie and asked if they could heat up and got a rude flat no. The staff members then following to ask us six times if โthat was allโ as we were flustered to understand what we could order we left upset and disappointed that one of the best places in Providence was now ruined.
Very efficient pick up system in place. Desserts, of course are awesome. All American chocolate cake is a family favorite, not too sweet, just perfect. The fruit tart is also delicious. Have never been disappointed here.
Love going here! Even though thereโs no Dine In it was still well worth the wait! The quality is superb!
I absolutely loved their carrot cake and coffee was good too!! Would love to visit again!
Love their flourless cake with raspberry topping. Just wanted to let everyone know.
Really delicious cake. Very clean inside, staff was super nice over the phone and in person. Parking is a little tough, but thats providence for you.
Was visiting RI and stumbled across this place. I agreed, it was one of the best pastries Ive ever tasted. I tried the chocolate mousse cake, tiramisu, fruit tart and lemon cake.........so yummy!!! The reason why I gave only 3 stars- absolutely awful and rude service during my checkout with the cashier. I wish I had gotten her name before I left the place. Firstly, she spoke in a harsh and loud manner as if Im deaf or dont speak English. She repeatedly told me to sign my name on the receipt loudly but the pen was not working on the surface table. I asked her for another pen and she just told me to do it on another table.By the second time she told me, I looked up and said I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID. I would have totally understand if theres tons of people behind me but only one other customer. I usually appreciate how hard people work in the service industry and will always add a tip for them but not this time. Hopefully, the owner or management will look into this matter and make sure that it wont happen to other people.
Yum yum yum, I love pastiche! Who doesnโt? The coffee is great, the desserts are amazing and the service is excellent. Itโs always crowded here on weekends as people go to get after dinner coffee and dessert but definitely worth waiting in line for. The to go line is usually short and goes quick. Iโve only dined in once and I donโt think Iโd do it again, the small space is a little too crowded for me.
I love this place. The food is delicious. The confections are creative and varied. Coffees are fresh brewed and have a deep, rich flavor. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Parking can be a hassle, but if you circle the block a time or two, you should find a spot. This place is one of my very few 5 star reviews and first on my list when dine-in returns.
Professional, I was in and out. Absolutely delectable desert selection. Every item made to perfection. I skip desert and espresso at the restaurant and head to Pastiche instead. They have the best!
The Passion fruit coconut cake. So worth it.. one of my favorite cakes..I am torn that it is only offered seasonal.
Exceptional decadence with fresh pastries, cakes, and other tasty desserts. We appreciated the cute fireplace, helpful table service, and art around the walls. We ended up needing to take some desserts home as there were too many amazing choices. We will absolutely be back and look forward to a return visit!!#RockFromRI
The fruit tart is wonderful, but so sad theirs get my order only 1
Everything here is out of this world delicious. Ive been coming for many years and it is consistent with being #1. If you are looking for a very special treat, this is the place!!!
While celebrating one of our teammates birthday, we headed to Pastiche for his favorite key lime pie. After a good walk post dinner of his favorite, pizza (Coal fired pizza, read about that review too) we reached the cozy patisserie. The time was about 10 past and it was so full of people wanting their desserts. We were immediately seated and attended to by one of the waitresses. After giving our orders and waiting for 5 minutes, we were served. The key lime pie was very good and so is their other desserts. A must visit for those in Providence RI to taste the fantastic desserts at Pastiche. Yummy yum!
I came back to Providence after almost ten years just to savor the flavors at this pastry shop at Federal Hill. Not much has changed, with its iconic logo and bright teal colored shop front. The pastries and just as delicious and the service is warm and welcoming. It brings me back to the days when I used to be a college student in his small quiet city...
I like it, this is the first I ate dessert and cakes delicious in RI. Small place but amazing you will feel just like your home. Also nice customer services and so clean. The park I think you must pay for park. It is not free because this is in the street and belong to the State. Thank you so much dear friends. FIRAS AL RUBAIAWI................................
This pastry shop has been our go to place since we moved to Providence. Fantastic little place with great service and delicious pastries. Highly recommend the classic coconut cake.
Delicious confections, freshly prepared. Service was very fast and courteous with ordering, boxing, and payment laid out in a logical way to keep customers flowing through the building.
Carot cake was sadly just good... everything else looked beautiful
Always wanted to try this place. Very busy place aswell. Nice and small location with alot of desserts and pastries to try. They all look so good under the lights and behind the nice glass. But taste mediocre. I find this place to be overrated. The desserts I tried and had from the carrot cake to banana cream pie to the brownies I found them all mediocre at best. Especially for the price I paid I was not amused. They also gave my friend the wrong item she had asked for but by the time she realized it was too late. The staff are nice people Im sure but the desserts werent that great. Maybe I came at a wrong time or wrong day๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Even if something isnโt usually my first choice dessert elsewhere, I will try it at Pastiche. Everything is wonderful there and tastes like a special occasion. Better than anything Iโve had in NYC or anywhere in the world. I also love that they take COVID seriously โ no need to open for in-person dining or compromise your commitment to safety, as your desserts speak for themselves. Please consider making lavender cake or key lime pie someday!
Desserts were amazing. Got fruit tarte and cheesecake
Pastiche is my go to place for desserts. Everything is made to perfection and they never fail to impress. The Chocolate Mousse, their Flourless Chocolate Cake, and the Fruit Tart are my familyโs favorites however I love all their desserts. Life is too short. Go indulge!
Pumpkin cheesecake and the brownie was delicious!
Best cakes in town. Got their cakes for all of my and my friends birthdays since I moved here!
Ok place. Mostly way over priced slices of cake. No real individual pastries despite it name. Dont go out of your way to visit. But italian restaurant around the corner was excellent with excellent pastries.
Passion fruit green tea is a treasure!!!!!Absolutely no where to park around here during the weekends๐ฅบ
Ive been coming to this wonderful, tasteful, delicious place since 2005... I moved out of the state and EVERYTIME im in town, i make sure i stop by to get my fav fruit tart. Its like nothing ive ever tried, now my fav drink is the chai latte(and any coffee pretry much) . So yummy, light and fresh. I love every single piece these masterful people make....Do yourself a favor and go over for a treat, you wont regret it...
Absolutely amazing cakes, questionable customer service. For Fathers Day my wife and I went to grab a chocolate cake, asked one of the women at the cake case for the differences between the chocolate cakes and settled on the chocolate layered mouse cake versus the other chocolate cake as she described it as cookie crumble and thats not something I enjoy. Starting off quick and courteous customer service. We got home and discovered we received the cake we had not been interested in. I called, explained the situation and asked if I could return the cake for the correct one, the gentleman I spoke to said a return could not happen (Covid) but hes set aside the correct cake I should have recieved and I could just come by and grab it (we are ~1.5 miles away). My sister offers to go get it.My sister ends up calling me 15 minutes exasperated because the woman at the shop she is speaking to is telling her they are not at fault, that there is mouse in the cake so its the right one and they sold out of the cake they expressly said they were setting aside for me. Why none of this discussion could have occurred without my sister having to drive to the store is beyond me.Overall its fine, its just cake (Ill skip a slice this year because itll just taste off given the situation) but the way my sister was treated, as if we were trying to score a free cake or scam them was embarrassing and a great example of how an otherwise solid business can still suffer from poor customer service.Ill definitely be back because this is consistently where my family goes for cakes (my first time but easily the 10th time for my family in 2021) Ill just be more attentive to what they are doing as it appears ultimately it becomes the customers responsibility. In the future showing the cake to the customer before closing it would likely solve a problem like this or having a point of contact in the store that makes executive decisions on returns so you do not needlessly embarrass your customers (nor waste their time).
Got the chocolate mousse cake which was perfection. Not the biggest sweets person but I really like the options at this place and the cake wasnโt overbearing. I would definitely come again to try out different desserts and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to have a conversation and enjoy some great desserts.
Love their cakes and the staffs is super nice emily super nice went above and beyond
Love there Desserts, and macchiatos yum
Iโve been coming here everyday for about two years now. This place is fantastic, the people who work here are so nice. And the staff is 90% women, which hello, amazing, obsessed.
I love this place I came here about 6 years ago and now Im back for my daughters birthday cake and it was amazing. The pricing range for their baked goods is in the high range but well worth the money. I also had bought a fresh fruit pie I didnt get to eat it till the next day and it was delicious I was very surprised there fruit is definitely fresh.
One of my favorite dessert places, ever. I live in Boston and visit Providence about twice a year, and each time I stop by Pastiche as a tradition. Every time, Pastiche has made me extremely happy with their warm drinks, beautiful cakes, and general hospitality. Will continue to make my semi annual trip and visit this place in the foreseeable future.
We were there late and were happy that the bakery was open. We stopped in for dessert and coffee and there was a line out the door. It moved quickly, however, and we were able to snag a table. We wanted key lime pie and, even though there was one in the case, they were only willing to sell the entire pie, not individual slices. That was a little disappointing but we settled for some other items. They were a ok but the icing on top of the cake slices had the taste and texture of wax - not good if youre looking for a creamy buttercream. The insides were delicious, though, and my chai latte was perfection.
The best fruit tart ever.
Friendly customer serviceWide selection cakes and pastryParking in area is meters
Amazing desserts as always, a must have when we visit Providence.
Pastiche is incredible. Their desserts are impeccable masterpieces. Each day they consistently provide better and better food, coffee, and service.
Friends think I go to pvd to see them. I really just go for pastiche
