Im certainly a fan of the selection at Newbury Comics. This particular location was clean and fairly organized. I found it to be smaller, in comparison to the previous locations Ive visited in NYC. You can still find a great Manga collection, an abundance of plushies, a great sock selection and other fun gifts in the world of pop culture.

Terrible that you deal with a Supervisor. Then get talked down to by a youngster. Someones position has gone to their head. Lacking the necessary skills to resolve an issue. When original documentation submitted. Incompetence displayed and documentation not recorded on the stores end. So because they did not record the original. You dont get to talk down to me like I did something I shouldnt of. There is always someone else to speak with and I love dealing with people at a corporate level regarding management.

Positives: Great manga collection.Negatives: Very unfriendly staff, the comics section is very unorganized.

I received a vinyl from Newbury for Christmas. The record was brand new, and on opening there was no visible damage. The record skipped multiple times, and when I tried to return the album the staff didnt offer any store exchange, returns, or store credit after they told me over the phone that they would. Customer service is poor, and so is the record quality. Would not recommend.

I do like this place,its a place where you can get pretty obscure things,along with vinyl albums,t-shirts,all sorts of odds and ends. I go here with my kids,they love looking around and seeing different things to chose from.

Every time I come in here the Funko Pop wall grows larger and the music selection grows smaller. Such a shame. Though, you can usually snag a decent, limited run LP for a fair or discounted price. I have gotten several awesome records for about 10-25% below online pricing, usually with a colored disc to boot. I would come in more often if they had a better market for used discs.

Everything a growing nerd needs to enjoy life! The alternative clothing selection is always spectacular; great selection of body jewelry; latest Funko pop vinyls; vinyl records; excellent selection of used DVDs and blu-rays (at some stores....). Prices are typically affordable, and staff is typically knowledgeable about a wide array of products. Have been a customer for many years, and hope to be one for many more!

Cool place - huge variety of apparel, manga, gifts and trinkets, loot boxes, vinyl. Definitely a good place for nerds at the mall. Maybe not for the most niche things, but if you know and love a geek youll find something for them here.

This is my imaginations playground. I enter the store and say go be free imagination and play nice with all the other imaginations. All this while browsing the store if comic, manga, quirky, and fun goodness.

3 stars just for being a comic book store. Attempted to visit, but the horrendous parking situation in Providence was a nightmare. Im not from around here but this city may take the cake for worst parking scenario in the United States. I googled all the parking I could find but at 11am on a Wednesday it was hopeless. Parking permits required, no places anywhere close and definitely no parking for anything other than a compact car. No parking signs EVERYWHERE. Traffic photo enforcement EVERYWHERE in this police state/city. Saw the cameras flashing at drivers in intersections that pulled too far forward at the light, hammering them. After blowing off my lunch break and looking for an hour and only finding government worker parking I got the heck out of Downtown as fast as I could... without speeding of course! Also beware the ruthless drivers who all seemed to have the government parking sticker have no mercy on the streets. Ive visited every comic book store in a 30+ mile radius south of Providence... but looks like I wont be able to check this one out its not worth the risk. The other Newbury facility in Warwick was nice, I had high Hopes for this one. Sorry guys:(

This is the place for comics. If you need comics and youve tried other places, its time to try this place. Comics is their specialty. There is no better place to get comics. This place is full of comics. Comics galore. Also, I watch Riverdale.

*NOTE*Newbury Comics Company = 4 STARSThis particular store/staff DEFINITELY = 5 STARS!!!While I didnt end up buying anything, it wasnt because of the staff. They seemed more than happy to answer my questions & assist with whatever I needed, even though I ended up not purchasing anything this visit. The store also seemed well stocked, neat & CLEAN. These are all huge points with me. Ive worked retail in different venues for MANY years, so I know how things should be run & what good customer service should look like. Any major deficits in these areas will, more likely than not, make me turn around & march right back out. Probably never to return.My ONLY issue, and this would be with the actual company of Newbury Comics, not the individual store, is that some of the pricing, (Regarding books, on this particular visit.), seem to me to be quite high. The store definitely had what I was looking for, however I was not willing to pay those prices, and believe me, I am NOT a cheapskate. (As my bank account & credit cards can attest. Lol) One of the books I was looking for there was $36.00 which I later found for $17.99 brand new on ebay! If not for that, definitely 5 Stars would have been given!

Best place for this and that. Always has a sale or clearance rack. Good jewelry choices, even better movies, viynls and cds.... I mean hey some of us like these things still

Still an overall decent place but a step down from their usual service and being smaller it offers less products.

As Ive been growing up Newbury comics has been there. From my music selections in rock, hip hop, indie, K pop and much more. Also from my animes, iron on patches and comics, Ive been grateful to have a get away to enjoy life growing up.

It has a feel and some items of nostalgia, but with further browsing it kind of lacks the true meaning of comic book/memorabilia store. Price are pretty steep, but if you catch a deal its worth it.

I loved the cool knick knacks here and enjoyed pointing out my favorite ones to my husband such as hedgehog designed socks and left with buttons with clever quotes. Our favorite stop when at the mall

My favorite store in Warwick. Been going here since I was about 7. Bought all my first CDs here and they have great pop culture merchandise. My go-to place to buy birthday presents for my friends. The staff is always happy to help. Glad to see this place is still running. Great place to get all your comics and vinyls as well as hysterical and inappropriate birthday cards for your closest pals.

The store had lots of things to offer but comics was not really one of them. They had a small selection. The store name really has nothing to do with comics. It was like a nerdy, pg-13 version of Hot Topic with less clothes.

Bruhhhhh they have so many new things and it’s awesome they’re really stepping up their game. Though it’s still a bit pricey on a lot of the things.

Good place with great stuff. However almost lost some money when I did the buy 2 get 1 manga free deal, they still billed me for all 3 manga and when I did the math and went back to ask they almost convinced me everything was alright. After going back after rechecking my math, did they rering and redid the checkout where what I was supposed to be billed worked out for me. If I wasnt persistent I would of lost out on my money. Good place I like it but is good to recheck and make sure promotion prices are applied to your check out.

I mainly go here for either some books or vinyl records and i can say with certainty that they offer very high quality items along with how i didnt have any trouble finding anytjing i had wanted to get. I ended getting a book known as devilman crybaby volume 1 along with two records whice were called demon days by the gorrilaz and blue train by John Coltrane. If you ever need any sort of collectors items or books or even vinyl records they offer everything like comics, mangas, funkos, records, cds, posters, and also a small selection of clothes along with differnet types of trading cards such as pokemon, yugi yo, magic, and some others. Overall this place is my absolute favorite store that offer most of my favorite things and i think that most people would agree with me on that.

The staff at this location are very helpful and personable when youre checking out. Theres a great selection and a lot of neat stuff to be found.

This place is a comic book nerds dream. There are so much product to choose from. The staff is helpful. There are probably from anime to manga to K-pop to apparel to anything you could possibly want. They have books they have vinyl records as well CDs. I love this place!

I love Newbury comics they have the best collectables, the best vynl records, the nicest employees and they have a comic program where if you subscribe you can get 15 or 20% off your comic pick up ... I always grab both varient invader zim covers and predator and alien comics 👽 SLG, idw, darkhorse, and ONI

Great location of a local chain of comic book stores. If you remember when FYE was still a big mall chain, these guys basically picked up where they left off, but have all sorts of memorabilia and merchandise from shows, movies, etc. on top of a great selection of CDs, cassettes, records, DVDs and Blu Rays. Some things can get a little pricey but its totally worth checking out if it interests you. The store can get pretty busy because of how busy the mall is, but its totally worth it.

Its odd to think that chain stores can vary so much, but this particular Newbury Comics was a disappointment. I say that from a selection standpoint, where the selection of items, specifically comics was very lackluster. I was on the road and stopped into the NB in Emerald Square and figured Id pop over to Prov to see if it had anything different, and I was so surprised by how much more Emerald Square had.

Comic selection is limited, but pop culture, CDs, Vinyls, bags, and merch is extensive.... does have a okay selection of comics, the most common ones mostly, but does have some more rare ones.
