If I could give you zero stars I would. I am a prescribing physician. I attempted to call in an albuterol prescription for a young man who was having difficulty breathing. First, no one answered the phone the phone after choosing “speak with a pharmacist from the automated menu”. Cumulatively, I waited 40 minutes on hold to discuss the patient situation and leave a prescription. No one ever came on the line. I also called and left all of my provider info and the prescription on the voicemail line for prescriptions. The patient went to the store, waited in a long line and was then told they needed a fax in order to fill the prescription. During their conversation I was on hold, but they refused to pick up the phone and talk to me or to call me. No fax was necessary to fill that prescription. You are not only giving misinformation to patients but actually delaying care and potentially endangering people. You should not even be licensed if this is how patients are received into your care.

I had to switch to CVS recently from using the Walmart pharmacy. Walmart was always on top of my prescription refills. For this CVS location at least, their hours dont match at all whats online, which is insanely frustrating. They dont even say their hours when you call and there is no option to hear the hours. Its not worth it to try and call to speak with someone because the wait times are also long. They always say youll receive a notification when your prescription is ready, but thats never happened for me so then I have to check in again just to see if my prescription is ready. Also, they dont give as many pills as the other pharmacy did. I miss being able to use a different pharmacy.

Calling them is an absolutely miserable experience. Its currently noon on a Thursday and Ive been on hold for 45+ minutes. And for some reason CVS thinks its a good idea to remind you every 15 seconds while being on hold to schedule an appointment if you want a vaccine. Ive literally heard the reminder 100+ times by now and it is becoming tremendously annoying.Im sad that my insurance requires me to deal with CVS or I would never interact with this incompetent company again.

I’m sad I have to give them one star. This is the worst pharmacy. Our insurance makes us use CVS and the next closest location is 10 miles away in a Target store where you have to park far away and there is no drive thru. At the end of a long day at work, ya need a drive thru. So I keep coming back to the Provo store. They are routinely out of medications. Does CVS incentivize this store to keep as little stock on hand as possible? If so, they need to stop this practice because Provo CVS is always out of stock on just about every med I or my husband takes. This week I needed a med that my doctor called in on Monday. Today is Thursday and it still wasn’t filled. I had to go in to ask about it because a) they won’t answer their phone and b) they closed the drive thru (and you already know how I feel about drive thrus!) over half the people in line in front of me tonight were turned away and told to go to the Orem store in Target because the Provo store was out of stock. Taylor waited on me tonight when I finally got to the counter (there were 20 people in line ahead of me.) He was very kind and filled my prescription - which I had been waiting for since Monday - in less than 5 minutes. There are two pharmacists named “Dan” there. One is large and one is regular sized. Big Dan is soooo unbelievably rude. I used to take Adderall for ADHD. I can’t tell you how many times he turned me away because he only had enough Adderall for the BYU students. Sketchy. I was told that I was welcome to go to the Orem store since they would have it in stock. So I finally asked my doctor for a different medication. I just wish I could ask our insurance company to let us use a different pharmacy. Believe me, I have tried.

I dont know what happened but in the last 6 months this CVS went from great to absolutely horrible. They dont call when your prescription is ready, they sometimes lose the prescription, and their phone line no longer works so you cant call them to see the status of your prescription. I want to say nice things but I can’t. I have been pretty frustrated every time I try to use CVS. They are so slow— expect wait times of ~30 minutes just in line to get them started with your prescription, then an ADDITIONAL hour or two to actually fill it. They always seem to send you to a different line after already waiting for a long time because the “other worker can help” with your prescription but they can’t.Seriously, will take up a whole day to get a prescription filled.

Pharmacists are fantastic! Were on a first name basis with them and even with masks they recognize us. They are also very helpful, even when busy. Saddens me when I see them receive grief from idiots who cant seem to figure out that its the INSURANCE companies causing the problems and not this pharmacy. They do occasionally have shortages that force us to go to Walgreens and the grocery area could use more variety as well (they used to have Cracker Jacks on the chips aisle but its been some time ... just as an example). Overall, great location with only minor issues.

Never received a text, and forgot due to daily night routines. Stopped by after work today, to pick up those 3 prescriptions, and they said that they “just received them from the dr” “they’ll be ready in an hour”.24 hours late, still no prescriptions, no texts and being brushed off because I’m annoyed they are so behind. These medications as are most, are important. But seriously? I wish I could take them to a different pharmacy.Avoid.

I’ve always had good experiences at this CVS, except when it comes to needing to use the facilities here. The bathroom is ALWAYS FILTHY, quite literally falling apart (as I saw tonight when a hanging cabinet door nearly hit me in the head) and today they were out of soap and toilet seat covers. I mentioned tonight to an employee that you are out of soap and she said “we are working on it”. What’s there to work on??? You sell soap for crying out loud! For a pharmacy, you are supposed to be about health and wellness. But the dust, dirt and grime that COATS your toilet and under the sink says that you don’t extend your customer service to providing clean facilities to your customers. (Seriously, the whole bathroom looks like it has not been cleaned in a year). And being out of soap during a pandemic when you had already been notified by a previous customer apparently is just inexcusable. I won’t be back until you guys take some pride in your business and show better customer service. This location sends the message that health and wellness is the last thing on CVS mind!

I have been using this CVS location as my pharmacy for over three years now. I really like it. The drive through is convenient and usually very quick. They are almost always very friendly and helpful. I have two autoimmune diseases and am unfortunately, therefore, on a lot of prescriptions. Some of my meds aren’t widely used and, as a result, aren’t kept stocked; so they (sometimes) have to order them in for me. When that’s the case, the medication is almost always in the very next day!I love how they have the option to do automatic refills on most of my medications. ❤️ And, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how they text me to ask if I want a medication refilled (when I don’t have it set up for automatic refill). It’s so convenient and it makes my life so much easier. All you have to do is text back a Y or a N to either get it refilled or not have it refilled just yet. Also, I am on a medication that my insurance will not cover. My doctor checked local pharmacies (on Good Rx) and it just happened to be cheapest at CVS! That made life so much easier, as I didn’t end up needing to make a second pharmacy trip. Not only that, it ended up being even cheaper than the price quoted on Good Rx!I don’t often go inside; but when I do, they are almost always extremely nice and very helpful. My only complaint (and, thus the reason for a 4 star review; instead of 5) is the pharmacy hours. The pharmacy currently closes at 8:00 pm. It would be really nice if they could be open at least another hour, maybe two. I mean, there’s a pharmacy right down the street that is open 24/7! But, there’s a lot of good reasons I do not use that pharmacy. I used to use it, but had one too many bad experiences. It’s worth it to use CVS instead!

The technicians and the pharmacist are always condescending and rude. I take a lot of medications because of chronic health issues. One of which is a controlled pain medication. When I first brought in the prescription for the pain medicine, Megan looked me up and down and with a snotty look on her face said I seemed a little young to be on pain meds. While waiting for it to be filled, I was then called by my pain clinic and told that they were just contacted by CVS over my prescription because the tech didnt believe it was a real prescription and he wanted to see if I had gotten it straightened out with CVS. With my other medicine, my doctor wrote it out as a 5 day supply for insurance reasons and the amount of pills. So when I went to get it refilled the first time, I was told I couldnt get it filled again because I just had gotten it filled the week beforehand. So I had to explain to them thats correct but its a 5 day supply and it was actually currently longer than 5 days since I filled it. It took three of them with calculators and reading the directions to figure out I was correct. When I filled it the next time and went to pick it up, Megan went to talk to the pharmacist, who came over and started to, VERY LOUDLY, tell me that he legally cant fill it because in the past x amount of days I had picked up x amount of pills. He also brought up that I had just had my pain medicine increased a few weeks before. Mind you, it was like 5:30 on Friday so there was a huge line of customers all standing there and listening to him yell at me. So when I said that it was all prescribed for my chronic conditions, Ive been taking the meds for 3+ years, and he was welcome to call the doctor who prescribed it, or one of the many other doctors on my team, he said that he couldnt and I would need to wait 30 days to get it filled again. Its embarrassing to be confronted like that in front of a bunch of strangers so that they can all assume that youre a junky because a pharmacist just yelled at you for being on too many pills. As if I want to be sick? I contacted my doctors and they said to have it transferred to a new pharmacy, so I did that and was notified by the new pharmacy that they were having issues getting it transferred because the pharmacist wouldnt send it to them. I dont know why he thinks hes so high and mighty and can just decide not to fill someones meds when they have a valid and legal prescription. Or why he thought it was appropriate to keep the prescription from the other pharmacist. Like, hello? Im sick and I dont want to be yelled at by a cocky pharmacist. Or looked up and down by a tech because Im stuck on pain meds. Plus theres like 50 other reviews complaining about Megan, so why is she still employed??

I have used this pharmacy a few times (in person and through phone calls) to refill and transfer prescriptions. My experiences have been difficult, the customer service in the pharmacy have been often short and rude with me, I feel like I have had to push to get what I need and that it annoys the pharmacist if my transactions aren’t extremely simple. Refilling prescriptions has also been difficult, there was one experience where I called to get proof of a purchase (so my doctor could refill a prescription for the correct pill) and they told me they had no record of me purchasing the item, when I had been in just the day before and still had the receipt. They told me to call back the next day. I did and it was as if the original phone call never happened, they didn’t know what I was talking about and they had a complete record of the purchase so I’m not sure what happened with the first phone call. These different interactions have made it difficult for me to continue with this pharmacy.

This is NOT A 24-HOUR PHARMACY, despite the many banners and signs that say so out front. Pharmacy hours are 8am-10pm.The pharmacist seemed immature on the phone. I was calling to switch from my old pharmacy for insurance reasons, and was told that CVS would be slow because their competitor was the worst ever at answering the phone. He also asked me if I was sure I really needed the prescription that night (this was 6 hours before closing). Overall, the exchange was somewhat unprofessional.I ended up not getting the prescription anyway, because the pharmacy isnt actually open 24 hours as advertised. I showed up late in the first place because the pharmacist had told me it would take over 4 hours to fill the prescription. When I did get the prescription, I opened it at home and discovered that it was a different brand with SAME AS _______ written on the box. I wish the pharmacist had addressed the brand switch, or even mentioned it.If it werent for the new insurance, Id switch back to their competitor in a heartbeat.

Edit:Jan is very fast, friendly, and professional.Original:Ive never had a wrong order. That said, Ive never had an on time order. We have watched our doctor submit a prescription, driven the 30 minutes in traffic back to Provo, and had the techs tell us that the prescription just came in and that it will take 40 minutes to fill. The other problem is that if you need a prescription that isnt covered by insurance they wont fill it until you get there and ask for it. (another 40 minutes)

Helpful but hurried. Every time I got to pick up medication I feel like they treat me like Im wasting their time... even if theres no one in the drive through and no one behind me in line. Otherwise, just what you would expect from a CVS.

Slowest pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I called ahead to make sure it was ready and they said it would be when I got there - ended up waiting for 30mins there for them to count the pills. lol unless youre buying Advil, dodge this one

My wife had spine surgery today and was released tonight to go home. Since it was already late, we went straight to Walmart but they didn’t have her painkillers. Walgreens and Rite Aid don’t take her insurance, so CVS was our only option. I walked into the pharmacy at 9:22 pm not thinking that there would be any problem getting her prescription filled since they close at 10. To my dismay, the pharmacist told me that he was too busy and would not be able to fill the prescription. I explained the situation to him and he insisted that he was simply too busy. I repeated myself, to be sure that he understood that we had no other options and that not helping us meant that my wife, whose spine had been drilled into earlier that day, would have to go the whole night without pain medicine. He repeated that he was simply too busy.I’ll admit that I don’t know much about the inner workings of pharmacies, but the pharmacy techs in the back chatting with each other the whole time (not at a computer or anything, just talking) did not seem to indicate that the pharmacy was so busy that there was absolutely no way that they would be able to fill a single prescription.I live around the corner from CVS and we frequently shop there. After tonight I will not step foot in that store again, and I urge others to take their business down the street to Walgreens or anywhere else.

I placed an order online for a desktop calendar. I received an email saying that my order was ready to be picked up. When I arrived at the store they said that they need some time to put it together. After waiting for 10 minutes they finally just said, they didnt have the stuff to make it and sent me away. Not the best customer service.

Horrible customer service. The girl with the thick southern accent is extremely rude and asks me inappropriate and stupid questions most times I interact with her. I have a chronic health condition so I have to go there often to get prescription refills (that are always from the same doctor) and she plays detective and treats me like Im a doctor shopper or drug addict. Often doesnt even take the time to read the prescription before she starts questioning me. I dont understand why she thinks her job description as a pharmacist entails playing the role of a police officer or prosecutor. If you have a serious health condition that requires consistent medication, you might be rudely treated.

I have been to this pharmacy in Provo several times now, because of its convenient location. Not only are they extremely slow but each time I have been treated very rudely, especially by the girl with the thick southern accent. They talk down to you as if you have no idea what you are talking about when it turns out they are the clueless ones. The blond girl that wears a lot of makeup seems to be completely clueless. My most recent visit, yesterday, which will also be my last visit, I was told that the medication the dr had prescribed for my son did not come in the quantity the dr had prescribed. I specifically asked if it could be ordered since no other pharmacy had it in stock and I was told, by the southern accent girl, that the reason no one has it in stock was because she looked it up and it didnt come in that quantity. I took the prescription back to my dr and told them what I was told. The nurse told me the prescription was correct and she called the pharmacy. The pharmacy told her that they just didnt have it in stock but could order it and have it the following week. The nurse then called the Smiths pharmacy who not only knew what they were talking about but also has the medication in stock. I will be going to Smiths from now on.

I went to pick up medicine, I waited in line and when it was my turn I smiled and gave her my information so I could pick up my order. It took me five seconds instead of two seconds to find my credit card. The representative at the register was so mean and so rude to me that at the end of the transaction she said very snidely youre going to give me a bad review arent you. That was after being humiliated in front of all the other customers. I dont know if she was just having an off day, but many people are going to pick up medicine because they are very Ill or going through something difficult. I didnt expect to walk in smiling and walk out wanting to cry. I wont be going back here. Ill be going to Walgreens.

Walgreens with 8 cars in line is faster than CVS with no one waiting. I was told my Aetna card wont work there. Had to explain to the tech that if you turn the card over it says Caremark on the back with all of the necessary info. Still couldnt figure it out. Had to give the rest of my familys info for her to figure out my insurance. 30 mins to pick up a prescription that was confirmed ready the day before. Not going back there.
