Putnam Walmart has got to be one of the most clean, well organized and has nicer employees than other cities or states I have shopped at as I have been to a lot.The greetings you get when you enter the store, the helpfulness of clerks when you need assistance. The variety of in-stock items available as well as how clean the store is and shelves organized and maintained throughout the day and night.All Walmart stores need to visit this one and see how it operates and clean up their own stores.

Clean, organized, and well stocked. I did self checkout so I didnt have any employee interaction so I cant rate that but I did see quite a few employees stocking the shelves. The weird thing is this Walmart bags are very thick..... like WHY? Are we going to be reusing these in the future?

We found what we were looking for, and it was not a bad experience. Giving it a 4 because of the length of time in line, which is understandable at times. Not today.

Walmart is both bad and good in equal measures. Their buying power means prices are good. They have surprisingly good fruit and veggies.I don’t like their ability and tendency to drive small businesses out of business but it’s hard to deny the width and breadth of their inventory.

Convenient, quick. People were spaced out well and there were reminders over the intercom to please do so. I return there so theyre doing things right in my book.

My experience at this store every week since the pandemic hit has just continued to decline every single time I go shopping. I get it… some stores are suffering with getting help and stocking shelves but this goes above and beyond anything I’ve seen at any other store. The shelves are constantly not stocked. On top of that, they had ZERO bags to put my groceries in. I always bring bags, but this week was a bit rushed and I assumed I would just buy what I needed. Nope. Couldn’t even do that. Paper bags? Nope not even that. Now I have my food rolling around in the trunk of my car.I’ve been a loyal customer for YEARS but I am seriously considering never visiting this store again… including moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy.

I used in store pick up and was told my toaster wasnt in stock. I found the exact toaster that I ordered on the shelf. Unsure of the thought process behind not pulling the requested material when they are clearly on the shelf. Its not the first time it has happened.

Was pleasantly surprised on the condition of the store. Was cleaner than normal. And they were stocked up fairly well. Checkouts were also open and plenty for all small wait lines.

No cashiers. We have to do our own checkout and bag your stuff. This should be against the law. They are forcing us to work for them with no compensation for it.

Had everything you need. Just wish the patrons were bit more friendly. Just moving here from the city seemed colder here then there.

Brought my son here last night for Pokémon cards. Was told they were behind register 14. Upon our arrival at closed register 14 we were greeted by a woman who walked over from customer service. I asked to purchase ten packages. Limit one sir. I said okay one for each of us he has his own money. She replied one per party. Keep your junk cards and your emo child hating tendencies at home. Nice mask.

I hate to leave this poor review because I once loved this store. However the past 2 years its really gone downhill. Refrigeration and frozen aisles are always breaking down and empty. Empty shelves and aisles throughout the store. Hardly any selection. Very limited produce that looks decent.

I was in the area for a doctors appointment so I decided to check out the walmart here for things I needed. I was able to buy my Johnsons foot soap and Arm & Hammer laundry pods.

This would have gotten more stars if the man at the door didnt harass me the moment I walked in. Im a heavy girl and was not really wearing a shirt appropriate for my body, but it was 90 degrees outside so my body image was the last thing on my mind. The man shook his head and made scissor gestures with his hands as if he was cutting his shirt like mine but with disgust. I would have walked right back out but my children needed the bathroom. We wont ever stop in this particular store again.

I would say its a ok store some of the people there are nice but when it comes to the customer then forget about it. Like this for instance, I went in to buy a dehumidifier and I say some sitting on a shelf and the price said 39.27 and I was like ok sweet so I had someone I knew that worked there checked the price to make sure and it wasnt 39.27 in fact it was over 200. So she went to get a employee that worked in that department and she told me I cant give it to you for that price customers must have moved it there. Now I can understand 1 in the wrong spot but I doubt a customer would move 3 or 4 like there was there. So I said ok thank you and put it back. But why is it my fault that employees that are too lazy to place product in the right place? Well I guess the customer isnt always right even if they prove the price and product is in the wrong place. I always thought if its in the wrong spot then its the stores fault and thats what you sell it for but I guess some places still tell you your wrong.

Dont care what any one says bad,they usually have what I want at a reasonable orice,people work very hard here,business is always cleani and the employees are all special.thank you,walmart

I dont know why it seems that my Walmart closest to my house never has what I need the shelves are never filled. Theres always boxes and pallets in the aisle way and the store is pretty much always a mess.

Store always running out of stock - cat food -kitty litter - lot of different food items- ect - old ladies in customer service were rude - never enough lines open - Damm self checkout is going to put people out of jobs - I like the personal contact at checkout- some employees dont know about there own areas- its a lets just get it done experience now instead of a shopping experience- sad to say I shop around other stores more often

All too often not enough cashiers on duty. All too often shelves are not stocked properly. Going to try a different store.

Don’t show up when it’s supposed to open at 6am. I have been there dozens of times and they never open the doors on time! Come at 6:05!

It took a cashier by the name of Naomi over 15 minutes to cash me out. I had 4 items, she could not scan the bread. I had to get customer service to help because the cashier refused to call anyone. She was pathetically slow with all customers.

The store had everything I needed and I was able to get in and out in record time...

Been coming here for 6 years. I know all the employees and managers. Everyone is great and super helpful.

Your typical Walmart. Some employees truly care and try. Some obviously dont. The store is relatively clean. The worst messes are definitely created by the savage customers as we are apparently to good to be respectful of the store. In typical corporate fashion they have the minimum number of registers open. They forced use of self checkout sucks. STAY AWAY ON THE 1st and 15th the store becomes a government funded madhouse.

Just went in for body wash found it very easy but couldnt find some vitamins I was looking for I purchased the vitamins in new York at Walmart was hoping the putnam Ct store sold them but didnt see them

Great store. Not as nerve wracking as the Oxford store.

Its a typical Walmart. HOWEVER, the new system of having every piece of makeup locked up is absolutely absurd. Takes 10+ mins to get an employee to respond, if you are buying more than one item you basically need to walk the associate up and down aisles. If you are buying anything else, they wont give you the items, they bring them to customer service and you have to check out there. I 100% will go anywhere else from now on for makeup. Hard to believe they lost more to shrinkage than they are losing to people not wanting to deal with this ridiculous run around.

I was extremely disappointed in the service i received, especially managment. Too much to type to explain what happened. I had a $100 Gift card which we were trying to use and they kept on saying it was denied and there was nothing they could do about it. Well, if they had helped me by trying it themselves they would have discovered all they had to do was hit credit. Store is hit or miss with products. Shelves are mostly bare in the grocery Dept. Would recommend going somewhere else.

This walmart barely keeps things stocked. Toy aisles ate bate, dog food we buy is never there neither are cases of Arizona Arnold palmer. Its worth the trip to Brooklyn or Willimantic

Produce is poor quality, product is constantly out of stock.

One of my favorite retailers. Great prices, great selection, and friendly staff. A bit larger than most stores,challenging at certain times at checkout,but tolerable. Overall a place I really like to shop at. Online deals also.

Its Walmart. They clean the self checkout stations after use, which I like. They are spotty with stock. We usually find they are out of at least one item every time we go. Overall, its a good store.

Always busy, a little crowded most of the time but you can still find what you want.

I love the fact that Walmart has more to offer for Easter, nicer womens clothing, childrens clothing, toys, etc, but the fresh side where the fruits&vegetables are, well that could use some improvement. The vegetables and mostly the Strawberries are moldy most of the time . I almost always find bad Strawberries, blueberries, salads, lemons, peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, and tomatoes.

Went for fabric. Waited 20 minutes for an associate to assist us. And no one showed up even after being paged 3 times. Not many friendly workers today. Very unhappy since I dont like going into the store very often.

I have a Walmart a mile from my home, but I travel the short 8+ miles to Putnam Walmart to do my bulk shopping. Why? They always, and I do mean always, have the produce Im looking for. Not just that, their produce department is cleaner, always well stocked with fresh produce, and has the friendliest of staff working in the department. Apart from produce, this store is cleaner. And I do mean the entire store! The Walmart near me is one they built from the ground up. Putnam Walmart Supercenter was a preexisting Walmart which they expanded upon to accommodate grocery and an larger retail section. One would think a newer store would be cleaner, right? Not the case. Another plus, this stores inventory. I find what I need. If they dont have it, that spot is empty. The one near me will fill holes with the wrong items just to make the shelves look full. This frustrates me to no end! I waste my time looking for something I need only to find, sometimes minutes later, theyre out of stock. Grrr!! I like Putnams honesty in merchandising. Ill sum up with the employees. Save for one, and I can only remember one to be honest, all Ive interacted with are helpful and pleasant. Regardless of age. My only issue is not with the store. Its with the person(s) who designed the parking lot. The whole setup is dangerous and an accident waiting to happen at the entrance/exits to the lot itself. I fail to understand how it ever got approved.

Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart anywhere. Out of all the ones Ive been in, it seems like this store has the rudest employees Ive ever encountered.

Sushi was excellent and a good selection for a place not on the coast. Pad thai that my friend got looked good too. Affordable but not cheap. Staff was a little harried but that was prolly due to the proliferation of birthdays in the place. Would definitely go back. Also offers takeout.

Prices so low I couldnt believe them. One gallon of milk three dollars less than what I usually pay. Walmart employees would drop whatever they were doing to answer a question and then walk me to the item I wanted. Just unreal. You have a new customer for life. Thanks Walmart.

I journeyed to this Walmart in order to use their pharmacy. When I arrived no other customers were in line, I was helped very quickly. My prescription was filled accurately and I believe the staff were the most courteous of all Walmart pharmacies that I have traveled to.I often travel for work, and for medications that are cheaper out-of-pocket with GoodRX coupons I typically use the nearest Walmart. While some locations can be miserably busy and disorganized, this one was great!

Having moved to Putnam this week from Worcester I was amazed at the cleanliness and the level of service here! Incredible! A far far far cry from the filthy unprofessional Worcester store! This store has restored my faith in Wal-Mart as a company! Special kudos to the greeters at the door!
