Terrible place to go. Dont waste your time. Super unfriendly and unhelpful. They are basically just trying to make a sale. Go to west marine in braintree or really anywhere else would be better.In response to owner:I was picking up fishing as a new hobby and I was just trying to figure it all out. Sure, I agree your response is fair. I bought a rod from online. The lines got tangled and you dont want to service it due to your previous bad experience with customers. I said I was willing to buy whichever rod in your store if you would teach me how to set it up.I wasnt coming in your store just to get my rod fixed for free and leave (even though I would be happy to pay for service). Like I said, I was new to this and needed a bunch of other items like weight, bait etc. Still, you refused to help me. It wasnt until I started googling on my phone while standing in your store for what items I needed (hook size, bait etc) and asking you where they are is when you actually helped.I went to another store and not only did they help me fix my line, they took the time to explain to me the parts of the rod and taught me more about fishing. I will forever be grateful and support their business. Im sorry youve had bad experiences in the past with customers but what I experienced was not an experience id go back to and hopefully future customers dont experience it as well.

Great owner, friendly guy, he know a lot of good fish place to recommend, some great place by yourself to relax. lot of selection to pick out. he also fix you reel. great servive, this place offer a lot for a bait shop.

If I could, I would give a 0 star rating for the worst business in the country and one of the worst experiences of my life. The business owner and his wife with the exception of their little girl, should not be in this business. They might be good for a grocery store, but not a place where people take time from there busy lives and dedicate their passion for fishing. Yes, it is a passion first and a business second. My advice to everyone is dont go here if youre planing a fun fishing trip. This place is small, the selection is limited and the prices are a huge rip off! The owner is lazy and wont help you when you first come in the store. He will tell you to come back the next day because he has a headache or is watching TV. He also refuses credit/debit and takes cash only. He opens the store 1-2 hours late and he closes the store sometimes 3 hours early because he either overslept or wants to go home for dinner.

I have been to Quincy bait and tackle about a dozen times now and have found Ryan and his family are always helpful and polite. I have bought both gear and bait and find there pricing very fair. Very happy to find this family owned local buisness! Deff recomend to give them your buisness
