I let my brakes go too long and needed them done immediately. It was late on a Saturday so I checked on line and found Firestone was open at 9am Sundays. Booked an appointment on line for 9. Many of the reviews were very negative and I was nervous but desperate. I arrived about 15 minutes early and there were already quite a few people there waiting for the place to open. They were severely shorthanded but because I had a reservation they got me in pretty quickly. After the mechanic told me what I would need done I decided to go across the street to the tavern and have a few beers and something to eat while I waited for the job to be done. I was upset because at only 43,000 original miles I thought I needed the brakes done for a second time. The mechanic told me only the back brakes were bad because the front had been replaced previously. The rear rotors were the original parts so I was happy I only had to do the back brakes. They changed the brake fluid for me and changed the serpentine belt. I came back from the tavern around 12:15 and my car was in the parking lot ready to go. My brakes are now very quiet and I will definitely go back if I need service in the future. I would definitely make sure to make a reservation.

The front guy is kinda rude and immediately said you can drop off your car then will check...i told him its just a nail in the tire...finally after discussion he checked the car and said you need to replace the tire i asked him if he can fix it with the patch he said no that tire is completely gone.I went Costco they fixed it with the patch.They are just making money not properly treating customers and hard to trust them.Its good you just get the inspection done and fix the car from somewhere.

Frankly, the only saving grace for my experience here is the gentleman who I spoke to at the counter. I visited Friday October 29th around 10:30 am and needed a state inspection as well as wanted to get my tires rotated. They said it would take a few hours and theyd call me to come pick up my Jeep. This is all normal and acceptable. The trouble started around 12:30 when they allegedly finished up, I received a call saying they cant pass my inspection and I needed my ball joints replaced and quoted me for 1400+ (which itself is insane). I told them no thanks Id take it elsewhere for a second opinion first. I took it to a different shop locally and asked them to check my ball joints, not an inspection or anything and the response 45 minutes later was the Jeep was fine, looked like everything was more than acceptable for a 3 year old vehicle. To be extra safe, I took my Jeep to a third shop for the state inspection again and they asked for the paperwork showing my failed inspection, turns out firestone never gave me that (assuming they properly inspected it to begin with) and he just did the inspection per normal. It passed. This is not the first problem Ive had with this firestone trying some shady stuff over a state inspection and will be filing a report with the state along with obviously, never returning.

I went here for an oil change at 9.20 AM, the guy at the counter was in a bad mood or something or maybe he just didnt like me. I asked him when can I pickup and he goes end of day at 7 PM or whenever its done we will call. I just wanted the oil change, it never takes more than couple of hours. I said I have to go somewhere at 4 PM, do you think it will be ready by then? he says nope. I left the place because the guys just sounded rude the whole time when he was talking to me.I came home and had my wife call the store at 9.45 AM for an oil change. Same guy picked up the phone and told her the car will be ready around 3 PM same day...... Not sure what to make out of this ?

I have to say something here.I went there looking to buy a new set of tires and replace all 4 TPMS valves, because I frecuently was pumping air.So I talked to the technician and explain the situation. He offered me 3 good options and printed the estimate, where clearly showed TPMS replacement parts and labor.To make the story short, they charge me for the TPMS but didnt replace them. I quickly released it and went back inside. I said you guys didnt change my valves,The technician answered it wasnt necessary, those were in good conditionPleaseHow come they charge you for something they dont replace?Finally, I had to return to the shop the following day and wait almost 2 hours to get the repair done. (Ironically, read the sign displayed in the shop..)At the end, I got a good set of tires and valves, though. But my advice is: wherever you go, you have to double check everything.

I made an appt online for an oil change. I received a confirmation number and everything. When I showed up for my appt, the guy said they dont appts after 4 unless Im going to leave the car overnight. I left and will bring my business elsewhere.

They lied to me on multiple occasions when they werent sure of the actual answer. They didnt explain anything that they were doing and they wrecked the panel on my door. Elvis is probably the only competent person in that building.For the price I paid, I at least expected them to tell me what was going on and be concise about it but instead I was waived away the second the payment went through.When I was in the process of paying, I explicitly asked for it to go on my Firestone credit card but he clearly didnt care to listen, made some nonsense excuse and had me pay through my debit card instead.It seemed as though the entire staff aside from Elvis had no interest in communicating with the customers at all since while I waited for my car to be done (which sat untouched in the garage for a suspiciously long amount of time) it was apparent the rest of the customers were having the same customer serviceAt this point Ive had more negative experiences at Firestone than positive so I wont be coming back. Ill be cancelling my credit card as well.

This is a generous 4 star rating. I could have done more to make life easier for myself, so I wont hold that against firestone. The good? Firestone was open after hours to let me pick up my Jeep from inspection. Desk lady was very polite if not the overly corporate type sales person. It was very convenient if not for the 3 hour wait for an inspection sticker (see the bad). The bad? 3 hour wait for inspection sticker. If there is people in front of me, not really much I can do about that. Still, dont expect to be in and out for an inspection sticker. When I called 10 mins after close to see if my car was ready to be picked up, she said it was and went down. Paid, got my keys, and headed out to my car to see a red reject sticker. Failed for lights and suspension/front end. Took it to a place down the street and got it passed (still had to get a bulb). But why did I fail for my front end and suspension? Perhaps they were trying to get a sale out of me...

As a follow up to my original review i have changed this to poor. Took a trip to S Carolina the week after the original review. No calibration done on their hs balance. At 70 mph all 4 tires vibrated in unison. Tire pressure monitoring warning of sensor failure which didnt happen before tires installed.. I also got a low tire warning with 30 lbs in my left front and right rear and the correct 35 in the other two.. Now waiting for an hour and a half after being told an hour and they havent even brought my truck in.So in fairness I am back. After 3 attempts at balancing and a call to corporate they found that 3 out of the 4 tires did not meet spec. They replaced all 3 and the truck is balanced properly. The tech today was great and knew what to do to fix the problem.

5 Star Customer Service. Im holding on to an almost 20 year old car so it needs repairs every now and then. I had an issue with my passenger side front wheel and the part to fix it was hard to find. There was a worker named Olvys that helped me get through the time it needed to get the car fixed. I appreciate Olvys for being upfront about the repair time and for offering assistance to me to get me through my work week until the car was ready for pick up.

I needed some work done on my car and brought it in about a week ago. I was informed it would be ready Saturday which was the most important thing because I’m going to Vermont today (Sunday). I was willing to pay more than my local shop just to have it ready for my Vermont. I called everyday to make sure it was still expected to be in Saturday and everyday Elvis and Shawna told me it would be ready. Then Saturday comes and I call at 2 o’clock and was told the part for my car was in Randolph so it would be ready soon. I kept saying “it will for sure be ready today right?” And Elvis told me that he’d tell the guys to start working on it as soon as possible when the part arrived. I was not called until 45 minutes before the shop closed and that’s when they told me the car wouldn’t be ready. After all week telling me it would be ready, they waited until the last moment to tell me it was not ready. At this point my whole family thinks I was lying to them all week when really I was being lied to. So my brother calls and shawna tells him that she never expected the part to be ready on Saturday. She straight up lied to my brother because I talked to the manager after Shawna lied to my brother and he told me he paid extra for Saturday delivery.If you don’t feel like reading all that ^^Shawna and Elvis told me all week my car would be ready on Saturday, waited an hour before the shop closed to tell me it wouldn’t be ready, then lied to my brother saying they never expected it to be ready Saturday. Thank you Firestone auto for making my entire family hate me during the holiday season when we are supposed to be going to Vermont

I came to this place today(Sunday 3/21/21) just for regular tires check. The worker was with a bad attitude and with no patience. I don’t know what is the reason, my friend he has a strong Chinese accent when he speaks English, the worker just asked him to be quiet when he was trying to ask the worker the process. While we are asking the process, the worker was trying to promote their bundles to us, we refused. Finally, we just found that my tire’s stem cap is lost. So tired of this store.....

Should be ZERO stars. 9 am appointment and the doors are locked at 8:50 am with a clerk at the desk, ignoring all. Half a dozen people in their cars on a cold morning. Fewer chairs inside than customers in line. I hear one customer say she also has a 9 am appointment. Will leave the car and is told to come back in the afternoon. No earlier than one pm. Theres only one mechanic on today.Jumped the line, rude I know, but I asked if that was true, that a 9 am appointment would wait so long. Yes. I left. Wont go back.

- I went to the firestone branch to fix loud voice from the engine, and, they recommended some services that will fix the problem, and, invoiced me with 800$.- once I left I found same loud voice from the engine as is even more worst, so, I returned next morning to them, and, they keep the car, then called me to take the car and back after one day.- I visited them back for the third day, then, they kept the car the for 2 days, then, they said they dont know what the issue, and, recommended to visit transmission shop.they made me to pay 800$ for another issue not related to my problem.I was doing all my maintenance in this branch, the end of October I did all the recommended services by them, and, every time I inspect the car to be sure all fine, and, paid a lot for them, just the last two invoices more than 2000$, and, now my car in very bad condition!dont deal with this bad people.

Recently I went for car oil change and I took prior appointment for 4:15pm, I dropped my car around 4:20pm but it was not picked before 5:35pm. When I asked does appointment in advance guarantee work done in timely manner, the lady on the counter she just replied appointment after 4pm can’t guarantee time bound service. This is insensitivity towards customers time!! They could have saved my time just by mentioning this before taking the booking.Absolutely they have no respect for customers time!!

Worst tire shop ever. Called and came in yesterday at 10am to preorder a tire and was told it would arrive at 4pm and that they would call me. Never call back and I had to call twice to be told that they forgot all about it. Then was told to come in at 9am this morning and then told me that it’s not there and hung up on me. Bring your business somewhere else.Now I had to rent a car just to go to my trip because of them promising me and messed up 2 days in a row.

Do yourself the favor and don’t bother with this place. Got my tires from tire track delivered here and called in to get them mounted. Spoke to Armando who told me come in at 7AM SUNDAY so i don’t have to drop the car off for the day. I thought he may have been helping me out because I expressed that I would need a custom alignment and wouldnt be able to leave the car for the day. I show up at 7AM for my appointment and the entire facility is closed. After doing a lap at around the shop I was lucky to find someone doing some work in the back. He told me I was in the schedule for Monday at 7am not Sunday.... awesome I would have loved to know that considering I just drove across town for this. Asked him if there is any way to accommodate me and he said “now way, I got a crazy schedule today”. I told him thanks for the help took my tires and left. If they are that careless about a schedule, I can only imagine what type of service you will get here. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I went in as soon as they opened to get a quote for a rear bumper repair. Just a quote... and they wanted me to leave my car until the end of the day! Why would I leave my car if all I want is an estimate? I went in the day before and they asked me to drop off my car just for an inspection sticker... I do not recommend this place at all, especially if you want something done in a reasonable time frame.

We brought our brand new car here to have a tire rotation. It’s the only time the tires have come off of our car. Later the same day we picked the car up, we were driving on the highway and a large piece under the car came off because the people at Firestone had forgotten to reassemble completely. Weeks later, after getting a flat tire, we found multiple missing tire bolts AND a missing wheel lock. Their explanation: “things get misplaced.” WHAT A JOKE. Total lack of accountability.

Called to see if they did yearly inspections. The gentleman that I spoke to on the phone said yes. He said I could get one today if I got there before 5 pm. They close at 6 pm and 5 pm is the last service they take. It was 4:30 pm. I said I could be there in 10 minutes. He repeated as long as its before 5 pm. I got there at 4:37 pm. I spoke to the person attending to the customers and said that I would like to get my car inspected. He responded, you can bring your car in tomorrow. I explained that I just called and was told to come down. He acknowledged that he was the person that I spoke to. He then said, #some other people came in so we cant take you. No apology. I said, I wish I was told that if I did come down there was a chance that I would not get the inspection. He just looked at me with a shrug. If I had known that this was a possibility I would have thought twice about heading over there. But, everything happens for a reason. Reading the other reviews I see this type of behavior and attitude is a pattern. I dont want to spend my hard earned money where I am not appreciated as a customer. Firestone hope you are paying attention to what people are saying.

One thing for sure, DO NOT GO HERE!The complete vehicle inspection was completed in less than 20 mins. The technician didnt rotate the tires which was included in the vehicle inspection. When asked about it, he lied at first saying the car is a v8 and the rear tires are bad so he just switched the front tires. I was watching the entire time and he didnt change anything. Pure BS! When I asked if he did the battery test? he again lied saying yes. When I asked for the test result, he went in and again did it.I was waiting since 3PM. They took my car in at 6:30PM and got it out at 6:50PM. They were in a hurry to wrap it up and Im wondering what did they even do in the case of inspection. For those 20 mins, the technician wasnt working full time on the car as well. They didnt check the alignment, no tires rotates, no washer fluid topped up, no suspension components checked. If I wanted a quote for parts and labor, Id call any auto repair shop to get it. They dont make people wait for 4 hours for a bunch of quotes. He didnt explain it to me what is wrong or what may need a future repair or replacement. He just gave me an invoice of all the parts expected, labor costs and spoke about how firestone credit card can help you save 10%. LOL! Credit card was the theme of the visit. They asked me 6 times for a credit card and I had just come in for a Complete vehicle inspection.My quote was $1500 including an engine tune up before even checking the engine. He didnt ask me if anything is wrong with the engine, when was the last time the spark plugs and ignition coils changed, he told me its required. This was serviced like 4 months back and he says its still required. I asked him the steering wheel is a bit off centered, he just told me for such an old vehicle, it needs an alignment before even taking a look at it. After asking for tire rotation and battery test results, he took the car inside, did it and slammed the hood. Could see the frustration in his actions.Ive been waiting for over 3 hours in store to get this done and all I get was a huge quote of what might have gone wrong and an engine tune up without even asking me if Im facing any problems with the engine. The service was so bad, Id not go here or recommend anyone to go here. I think a big learning experience from the time wasted and customer experience is that Firestones terrible service offered. I got an inspection done so that I could get the work done here. If this is how you treat your customers, Id not recommend anyone even dropping by this place.

Put my van for a repair for brakes and abs and slips when I press the brakes and told me back brakes are good and replace a sensor. Didnt fix it broth it back and they blam a skelton crew and back brakes are bad and need a speed sensor. 2000 down and still not fix

Went in for an inspection and they said to replace my tires, so I allowed them to do that and then they noted that one of my tie rods were bent, but I really just wanted to fixes to pass inspection. One guy on the phone said it was necessary, but I did not allow them to change the tie rods because they said they would keep my car overnight and it would add another $340 on top of the bill. They put my car back together and passed me. I felt neutral about the experience, its the nature of the industry for them to juice people out of their money. My only complaint is that they took a quality pen of mine out of my car when they were working on it.

I gave my car for wheel alignment at 10:30 AM Today, they said estimated delivery time is 5:00 PM. when I call at 4:30 PM, They said it will be ready by 5:30 and they said 6:00 PM. for 1 hour job they wasted my full day and the service is worst 😒. I will never suggest this place. They didnt fix my alignment perfectly. They not even gave me my wheel alignment report printout untill I asked.

You can see in practice “honesty is best policy”. Mr Chi assisted the service recommendations to optimal and just necessary for my vehicle. Job done is top notch. I am an engineer so I could understand the reasons for the recommendations. One thing I can say is that they believe in reputation and repeated business. I made an appointment and told them the make, model and size tires I wanted installed. They gave me some story about a possible adjustment if I put on the same tires already installed because I had lifetime hazard protection. I said I want the tires I requested and you can measure the tires on the car and we will see the difference in price. I show up and they tried to sell me other tires. They didnt have the tires for which I made the appointment. They completely ignored by request.

Exceptional service and Manager. Needed a Firestone tire replacement (those blasted Boston Area potholes !!) under my Firestone Road Hazard Coverage during a busy day. Manager Chi handled it all (as well as the many other customers and his personnel) with upbeat aplomb and efficiency, from my initial phone call thru completion. Be cautious when getting new tires put on. Paid over $600 for new tires less then a year ago. After getting my tires rotated my front end started shaking. After taking my vehicle elsewhere non of the tires were balanced and the weights looked like the original weights not new weights. They clearly put on my new set of tires without balancing them which resulted in me having to pay out of pocket to get them actually balanced. Also be wary there insurance does not cover balancing even if they didnt do it right in the first place.

Very bad customer service. Dont go there EVER!First, they have a VERY LONG waiting time (over one hour for just an auto inspection). I called them to schedule a time and they never answered the phone. After I used their website to schedule an appointment online, I showed up at the scheduled time but they told me they dont see my appointment and I had to wait for one and a half hours in line.Second, their pricing is RIDICULOUS (10$ for switching out-of-state plates). After I waited for almost two hours, they told me I had to switch plates before my car can be inspected, otherwise my inspection result would be a rejection. They charge ten bucks for simply unscrewing eight pieces of screws. Such a hard job.Last, their front desk is DOESNT KNOW ANYTHING about cars. He constantly had to go to the mechanics in the back to ask for the most basic procedure, including whats required for a simple auto inspection.I would have given it a zero if there was an option for that. Worst service with ridiculous pricing.

I find the location quite convenient as theres plenty to shop on Quincys main street, and love community chiropractic across the street.

I drive a lot, I am a frequent customer to Firestone on School Street and will continue to be.Pros:1)Honest. They back their work and dont inflate bills. They stand behind their work.2)Excellent place to buy tires, the warranty for road hazards is great. I have hit potholes which have blown out a tire, and also hit objects that wreaked a tire. In both cases they fairly pro-rated the tire wear and I got a brand new tire for about $20.003)comfortable waiting room, good sub shop across street.4)Staff is very friendly, I like the Manager Chris McGiness (spelling?)5)I got lifetime alignment plan, and have used it several times, especially after my pothole incident. I highly recommend this.6)Good plans for oil changes, you can get a package which knocks down the price.7)They do most general auto repair. If you are getting a tire change and they see you need struts, for example, they will give you safety goggles and show you, then they can fix it then and there.8)They keep track of your cars maintenance on computer, these records are great to manage vehicle maintenance.Cons:1)I have had to bring back the auto after having it fixed, on one brake job I had I had to bring it back two times to fix grinding and squeaking noise.*2)quality of their brake products seems suspect. I dont get many miles on my brakes*__________________________*Please note: To be fair, the brake issues I had may be just be unique to my car, a Honda Element.

This fire stone does pretty good and the mechanics are great works but the lay over could be alot better for example I went in for a Oil change and they told me 3 hour wait like What thats ridicules so I called another location which I normally go to this is also fire stone and they took me in the guy say come on down . As soon as I got there I waited 35 mins and done and there car area was full .. so a little more work internally will need to happen to make that Quincy fire stone better then before.

Theyre commission based, so they will try to get every penny from you .They wanted 600 dollars for 1 break line repair job. I went to another shop, the guy charged 120 for the whole thing front to back and it only took him like an hour. So I dont know where that 600 dollar number came from, definetly not what the job costs. Be careful, and choose wisely when bringing your car to get fixed. There are other really good an honest mechanics elsewhere.

I went to get my car inspected by them, mind you this was my second year. They told me I had to add lights to my car, cost over $400.00. I was hesitant because I never needed them before. I was told that it would fail inspection if I did not get them. After having the lights added, the idiot tells me.. oh they were not required and that the car was never designed to have them. Never got my money back and never went back and I Will never recommend them.

This firestone lies to you and quotes you for things you don’t even need. Went and got a second opinion and it was half the price. Price went from $600 and is now $270. Told me my hoses connected to my radiator were leaking but turns out it was my whole radiator. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO SAVE MONEY!! And if you do always go get a second opinion from another shop because this was ridiculous.

Okay, this place is wicked awesome! They always hook me and my family up! I live all the way up in Plymouth Cedarville and I go all the way down to Quincy because I know that I can trust these guys with my car. Expensive.... Ugh. $700 for a brake job. They put new rotors on even though the old ones were fine. Thats the big moneymaker. There open late or Id have shopped around. Ill try another shop next time.

I found the staff to be courteous and straightforward -- rare qualities in the industry in my experience. I had either a slow leak or a flat in one of my tires -- $20 to fix the leak and $90 for a new tire. They removed a nail and fixed the leak for $20.

I stopped bye this location on sunday morning and was greeted by service writer..I ask some questions about removing wheel locks(broken key) to my vehicle...took one look at them and said YES we can remove them...came back Monday morning and job was done within two hours for a reasonable $$...thanks again Quincy Firestone...JOB WELL DONE..😊✌

Honestly, I dont know why anyone would go this place. They claimed to have replaced an oil pan, gas gauge, and a fuel pump. The gas gauge still reads full even when the tank is as dry as a bone. The fuel pump went after less than a year, and my mechanic couldnt contain his shock when I told him the oil pan was just replaced. They did a brake job and didnt bother to change the rotors. If you know even a little about cars you can see they arent fixing anything, but they sure are charging you a lot for the repairs.

I have been telling my mother for years that these mechanics are a rip off and now she will finally listen to me because a part that is supposed to last 100,000 didnt even last 9 months. This is just the most recent incident. These people should be investigated by Fox 25 or Help me Hank. They prey on people and I think its sickening. They have a card that they push on their customers and then charge more than double the rate of what any reasonable mechanic should or would charge. So then they are making money on the card and on the over inflated service price. To add insult to injury they do not even fix the car. Buyer beware! Do not go to them.

Absolutely terrible management. The mechanics can not be trusted. Twice my car came out of this shop in worse shape than it was when entered. I believe that this shop causes damage to most cars it works on in an attempt to create additional work. Ill never let Firestone in Quincy work on my cars ever again. Fooled once shame on them, fooled twice shame on me. They will not get a third chance. Beware of their $10 complete diagnostic check up. They do it regardless however. Dont trust this auto repair shop

If I could give this place no stars I would. Do not go to this place if you value your life or the life of anyone else who drives in the car that they fixed. The other reviewers who said you wait a long time and they over charge you are right. This may be okay if they actually fixed what they said they would fix. They do not and they put your life in danger.

Do not go to this place. They will try to rob you blind. I went in to get some brake lines replaced and they tried charging me hundreds of dollars more than a reasonable price. Save yourself the trouble of a large bill and go somewhere else

Went to Firestone less than 12 hours after getting a new battery to make sure I didnt have an alternator problem. Knowing this information they tested and said I needed a new alternator AND a new battery. I decided to take it to my dealer...guess what, none of these repairs were needed.

Schedule an appointment to have a tire alignment online for 2pm. Made sure to select wait for service, not drop off and had it confirmed by both the corporate customer service representative L. Hagood as well as the local employee Bob. When I arrived I was told I had a 2 hour wait period!! The only reason I will go to any Firestone is because I have a lifetime alignment. I recommend you find another place for automotive service, local car repair shops Ive been to are both more knowledgeable and have a lower cost (plus youd be supporting a local business, not a all about profit corporation which is rare these days!).

Besides the long 3 hours waiting to change tiers, the only concern they have is take more money out of you! greedy system they use there. Sucks customers service!And the most expensive firestone I ever used.They not building a loyal customers.Expensive service compare to other tires services.And when u buy there tires and need to replace any of them u will face hard time finding the same tiers they sell u at the first place I DONT KNOW Why!?!Last time I will use fire stone tiers on my car.Also they where very rude.

Only interested in one thing....TAKING YOUR MONEY!!! Had a catalytic converter replaced 6 months ago, the cost....700.00. Check engine light came on, paid for a scan at a different place, they said it was the catalytic converter and it needs to be replaced!? Went to Firestone to question this since they just replaced it recently and they expect me to pay 100.00 for a new scan to check it!!!! Ass holes!!! Going to another mechanic to see if they even replaced it in the first place. For their sake I hope they did or else theyre gonna get one hell of a law suit! DO NOT GO TO FIRESTONE!!!!!!!

DONT GO HERE! Very bad customer service. I was billed a total of 24$ for two light bulbs worth approx $5. They push you to get those in the name of inspecton check for sticker. You wouldnt be left with a choice but accept or end up paying 35$ again at another center. After all this, they dont even care to give information when asked about something. They act as if they dont care and customer is at their mercy.I believe these are the effects of recent staff change. Previously, it wasnt this horrible.
