I love this shop!!!! Great wines hand picked by the owner who is extremely knowledgeable about every product in her shop. I also love the cheeses, especially the English cheddar. Friday night they do wine and cheese tastings and every time Ive gone I go home with a new favorite.

What a delightful store and owner! Good selection of cheeses and lots of information. I asked about the negative review and heard a different story from what was written. The woman who complained about being carded had presented an unacceptable form of ID and was reactive to Lisa following the rules of the state. Be careful about trusting negative reviews because often they are more reflective of the writer than of the actual experience.

I recently visited Gypsy Kitchen and experienced the worst customer service Ive ever had from Lisa. I will never step foot in this business again because she was extremely rude and condescending. When I asked her a question she answered me with a terrible attitude and made me feel like I was interrupting her happy hour with her friends who she was chatting and laughing with as they were drinking wine and eating. I strongly recommend you think twice before going here.

A lovely, cozy shop in the heart of Quincy. Wonderful wine selection, and delicious array of gourmet food items and cheeses. A must-try: the Gypsy Juice hot sauce, crafted by the owner and hot sauce connoisseur, Lisa Lamme.

Why bother coming all the way to Quincy Center when you can just get your wine and cheese at Trader Joes? When you come to Gypsy Kitchen, you get the advice of expert Lisa Lamme on what to get, why to get it and how to use it. It is an amazing experience to come into this shop. Get Lisas opinions on wine, cheese and especially, hot sauce-check out Gypsy Juice too and for sure, get on the mailing list for weekly announcements of free wine and cheese tastings.

The one grace of this store is that the wine selection really is pretty decent. The craft beer is lacking, the cheeses are uninspired, and worst of all, the customer service is nonexistent.I went in looking for a nice bottle of wine and left humiliated. The owner couldnt spare a moment to recommend a pinot grigio, instead focusing on two other people in the shop who were there for a tasting. After I poked through the shop on my own, I chose a bottle and waited for what seemed like an age to be rung up.At the time, I had recently moved to the area and still had an out-of-state ID. The owner made a show of checking it carefully before announcing loudly that she didnt need to accept it, and managed to imply that I was attempting to use a fake.In hindsight, I should have walked out then, but rest assured I wont be back.

We have been buying Outerbridges Sherry Pepper sauce from Lisa for more than five years, and have never had a problem until this year. Just before Christmas we placed an order that arrive damaged (the cap was broken, and the bottle nearly empty when it arrived.) We contacted Lisa, who said she would send another bottle, and bill us for it, but that she would refund the purchase price once she received confermation that the package did indeed arrive damaged. The second shippment arrived damaged in exactly the same way, and I took pictures, and had them certified at the U.S. Post Office that made both deliveries. I mailed those pics to Lisa more than six weeks ago, have left phone messages for Lisa, and have emailed her as well - still no reply. At this point I am out over $70 (including postage) and I will never purchase from Gypsy Kitchen again. I suggest that you think twice before doing business with Lisa.
