Amazing breakfast place! Food is always delicious and the service is amazing. The drinks are great as well. We’ve been going for the last year every weekend and not once have we had an issue. Our favorite waitress always remembers our order. Place is cheap too, definitely a great place!
Decided to check it out based on reviews, glad I did. It’s very unassuming don’t know how I missed it all these years! Found parking in rare of building., waitress was super friendly and seated immediately on arrival. Happy that it wasn’t packed seemed to have a fair amount of foot traffic for take out. Food came very quickly, tasty pancake and very good coffee, now one of my go to for local breakfast!
Always a great meal with fresh ingredients. Lots of menu options but I love the crab cakes eggs Benedict and a side of Irish black and white sausage. And great service too.
This is my favorite diner in Quincy. The staff is super friendly and awesome. The avocado bacon eggs Benedict, Irish breakfast, and the ultimate breakfast are amazing. The millionaires coffee is also delicious.
Awesome lunch! Had the pasta! Was cooked al dente and the sauce was great! The wait staff knew the menu very well and even let me know the pasta was cooked to order. Perfect! Thank you!
Great menu and wonderful wait staff. Very affordable prices. Food cooked to order
Granite Street is family owned. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Great food, big portions at fair prices. I have eaten here for years and have made many other folks big fans too.
A good breakfast place to go to when you’re around the area. Servers are really nice and friendly. My favorite is the crepes here. 8/10 would recommend!
Great brunch spot! They have a vast menu of which everything that we ordered was amazing! Plus, a full bar means you’ll be sucking down the monster mimosas like they’re nothing. My only critique is that when we walked in we needed to wait 5-10 minutes before somebody acknowledged us and sat us at a table
As always, the food was excellent! Not to mention the service which was superior! Our waitress didnt pass our table once without stopping to check and see if we needed anything, or to top-off our coffee! Our orders were hot, and everything was eggsactly the way it was ordered. As usual, the portions were very substantial, if not a bit on the large size, for me. Everything was well spaced out, to suit social distancing. One of the best parts was the parking lot, in so there was no need to worry about on street parking availability.
Small home town feel with grandma quality food, in from Houston, Tx. City of many restaurants...#BigSurge
Really wanted to like this place but putting greasy, bubbling hot food into a styrofoam to-go container is a big no in my book. The sandwich was literally stuck to the bottom of the container and tasted like death... I should know because an hour or so after only eating a few bites I can still taste it. Absolutely disgusting.Maybe the dine-in options are great but whoever is running the kitchen should be fired for negligence.
Id honestly recommend going to the place and ordering in person instead of using apps, as it seems theyre burdened by the fees associated and all of their prices are a few dollars higher than in person, let alone the fees you pay on your own. That being said, the menu is diverse, fairly priced (in person) and the order I placed was quickly prepared, fresh, and as good as any town diner fare Ive had otherwise.Specifically, I tried the crepe and while it was flowing with nutella, it was delicate and tasty. One negative I do want to mention is the coffee. The portion is fine, 16oz, though it seems as if the brew is stale/a cheaper brand of roast, and to that effect it taints the flavor and freshness of the brew.I know this is a bit of a gripe, but if Im being completely forthright, this was my experience, and being the fact that the one time has caused me to disregard getting coffee here in the future, I think its worth mentioning. All in all, a cute little diner in a sort of western outskirt of Quincy center.
This is a local authentic and quirky gem of a restaurant. Understated and casual, they have a solid selection of food that is affordable and well done. It was originally Irish, improved by the Albanian owners to include Italian cuisine. A lot of regulars frequent the restaurant and local crowds. The wait staff is nice and the orders are on point. They have a full bar and a real good espresso to boot. Will be back.
Such a cute neighborhood cafe! Everyone in my party loved what they ordered- including a particularly picky kid.
Terrific Irish breakfast! My only complaint is there is no soda bread. Food came out super fast and was delicious. The amount of variety this place has on the menu makes coming back and trying more a must!
Amazing place, amazing people and amazing food!
Good food and service with a smile
Was a great experience. The food and experience was awesome and plentiful. Will definitely visit again.
Came here for breakfast and was not disappointed. Food is real tasty, warm environment, and I loved the mimosas here!
If you’re craving an full Irish or English breakfast this place will satisfy that craving. As an English guy I sometimes have cravings for food from home. This place satisfies. Although 30 minutes away from me. It’s worth it. With the full Irish breakfast you get 2 pork sausages, 2 white puddings, 2 black puddings, 3 slices of Real bacon (not the American style), four slices of toast a grilled tomato and baked beans. All of this for around 13$. If you order on grub hub then it is easy to pick up and take home. Was extremely satisfied with this food today and will be returning soon.
Very good place to eat and get a nice time...
Great mix of Italian and Irish cuisines and tastes. Staff are very friendly, and make you feel like you popped over to a friends place and you stayed for lunch (or breakfast, they serve that too all day). They also serve alcohol, if you need to make your morning coffee a little Irish. A fantastic Quincy place, and highly recommended
Bomb! Food, customer service and drinks...just Bomb!
My favorite breakfast place on the south shore. Its a mom and pop place with home cooked meals and great service. Their Eggs Benedicts are the best and there are many different varieties to choose from!
Awesome place, keep going back
Great fast service and friendly staff. Sub par food at a great price though. Id try this place again but it was the dryest side of French toast Ive had all year. Lol. Ill just have other menu items next time.
Obviously canned corned beef hash-basically greasy salt clumps. Also extremely overcooked.
Great food, excellent service and reasonable price.
Great food . A nice pot of tea to wash it down!
We were there for breakfast. .The double blueberry pancakes and Belgian waffle were incredible. Great food, inexpensive.
Best breakfast in town!
Great cheap breakfast, attentive service, and my favorite part, the bar! The only restaurant in Quincy to serve alcohol with your breakfast even as early as 8am!
Everything you want out of a greasy spoon.
Granite street cafe to me it is the best breakfast in Quincy.Ive eaten there several times, I am impressed with the improvement even with all the new challenges. They presented new items on the menu and on the drink Menu, they provided panels separating the tables, with plenty of space between them. The staff did a great job cleaning the restaurant, always using disinfectant on the tables between customers.Besides the food it is always delicious!! And the staff are very kind, you only need to go there once for them to remember your order, Pam is my favorite, very attentive to details.I wish them good luck on this difficult times. We appreciate you guys for being open !!
Great food and service. Thank you!
The best breakfast
The scrambled eggs were more of an egg pancake, potatoes werent seasoned, and forgot the toast entirely. Everything was just lackluster, especially for the price. Even the OJ tasted off. Very disappointed.
Amazing cafe at a great location . The coffee is always freshly brewed and delicious. They also have very tasty snacks and the prices are fair. The service is quick and professional.
The service here is always excellent. The waitstaff are always very friendly and personable. Amazing drinks too! I agree with some of the reviews that the food can be a bit inconsistent - when its good, its great!! But I have experienced a few off days. Generally, there are more good than bad. I keep going back because the service is so good and I enjoy the people who work there so much. Pamm and Kristina make the best drinks and are always so friendly and nice to be around! They always lift my spirits :)
This place is amazing. The best breakfast, cappuccino, and smoothies. Service is great as well. Support your local businesses, lets go.
Absolutely delicious
Not what we expected, the reviews had us hoping for a better breakfast, but it didn’t happen. I ordered waffles, and I received a cold one, that was dry, which I didn’t have the heart to send it back, so I left it. When we asked the waitress for ketchup and hot sauce, we didn’t receive either, and the crepes were also served cold, potatoes over salted. I’m not a picky eater, but this was so disheartening. I’m also expecting, so definitely left me frustrated and hungry. I don’t recommend it.
Great atmosphere Great service Great Food!!
You get a good amount and it taste so damn good. We also had few drinks, this will be our favorite spot from now on
Very great store.
Great food. great staff. Something for everyone
SOOOO good!!! They care about their customers and always make sure each dish is 110%!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
By far the best breakfast/brunch in Quincy! Not even a question! Or dare I say Boston. Its a hidden gem! if you havent been here you are truly missing out! and a top of that they have the nicest friendliest staff! Thank You Again Granite St. Café we will be back!!
Excellent experience across the board from the moment I sat down to the moment I left this place, with a big smile on my face! Everything about Granite St Cafè, seems to be professionally choreographed which allows you to have a great breakfast experience. Pammela is a great waitress and the food was phenomenal, I had a burguer/bancon/cheddar with curly fries and eggs over easy, I couldnt be happier. If youre looking for a cozy place, with great food, family atmosphere and amazing service, look no further, Granite St Cafè is the place!!
The food is always hot and fresh. On my mornings off I always like to pop in and grab breakfast. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. I really enjoy coming here. I recommend the bacon pancakes!!
Honestly, this place is the best breakfast restaurant Ive ever been to. Ive been going for years with my dad, and I have never had a bad experience or a bad day after. thank you for still being awesome and the one consistent thing in my life at this point
Very very busy at 10:30a on a Sunday but were able to get table for 2 in about 5 min. Had full Irish breakfast! Very yummy and loved the apple on my mochacino. Older gentleman popped out to overlook the dining area for a min. He was so adorable standing there, so many years of wisdom I just fell in love with him.
I love the waitresses over there 🙂
They need to clean the bathrooms from top to bottom! There was a guy outside sweeping the parking lot (which is much appreciated by the way), and I was thinking why isnt he cleaning the bathroom? That said, the food and service were actually very good.
This place is an absolute gem in Quincy. Highly recommend anyone go there for breakfast/lunch. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food speaks for itself. Shouldnt have trouble finding parking even on a busy Sunday.
Very delicious food and excellent service 😎🤗🤤
Neighborhood place, good food, curtious waitress, great service and cleaned before and after . Felt comfortable 1st time eating in a restaurant in months 😮
Great local diner. Ate the scallop and asparagus Benedict which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Large menu. Hollandaise sauce was best Ive ever had! Homestyle potatoes were good as well. Will definitely go back.
This place was busy. Service was fine. The food was just okay to me. I got the blueberry waffles and it came with whip cream. It just felt like a normal waffle that I could get anywhere. The everything breakfast sandwich look pretty small in protein size. Look like it barely had anything in it. Bacon was undercook and they were cheap on the veggies. Wont be back.
Awesome spot for breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes are the way to go - delicious. The coffee was good and so were the eggs and bacon. Def check it out.Our server was very sweet too. She was very eager to make sure we were happy with our meals.
This place is great, been getting the Portuguese omelette for years
I have been living two blocks from this restaurant for over six weeks and today was my first visit. I have been an idiot. The food here was wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. They also have a real espresso machine.
Good food Great Service
I went to the place this morning for the first time and sat at the counter. I was waited on by Christina. I asked for a sausage, egg and cheese in a wrap with tomatoes. She told me that order made no sense and asked me why I wanted it. It only has one egg and two sausages. She kept making faces as if I was kissing her off by asking for this. I quickly felt I welcomed by her behavior as she kept coming back to me to ask me why I’m ordering. I tried to tell her that it’s my first time there and if she could make a suggestion. Only after she stormed off three times did I finally get my order in to what I thought was correct. She kept telling me that she had already put my order in but kept getting upset that I wanted to change. Long story short, she could have just said do you want the breakfast wrap with tomatoes which was the same thing. She ended up bringing that and a side of potatoes that I didn’t order and charged me 13 dollars. I’m not going back. Food was blah!
Fantastic restaurant! Fantastic service! She made me happy. Going back.
Great breakfast! So many choices & very fast service! They have the traditional Irish breakfast & some different variations. Theres over 12 omelettes with fun names like the Furnace Brook, & you can easily create your own. Texas french toast, pancakes, & did I mention all the benedict choices they have? There might be a wait, but the line moves quickly.
Ive been a few times after a night shift for drinks and breakfast and they were both well made. Its a full bar with a diner feel. I would take my family there to eat too though.... not a bar atmosphere. Servers were friendly.
Everything is good and friendly service, great food
Food was good, nothing special. Got the meat lovers omelet. They grill the toast so that is why this is not 4 stars for me. By grilling the “toast” make the bread floppy and not crispy.
Not bad for breakfast. Nothing special, kinda run of the mill diner food, but more selection then most. I had a Turkey/Turkey omelet. It was flat and square, very old school diner-ish. I prefer my omelets fluffy and semicircular. Taste was okay, but like I said I kinda run of the mill. Im going back to try one of the eggs Benedict, those looked better! Parking is a plus!
I have only had breakfast here. Its always busy but I have never had to wait for a seat. There are a lot of breakfast choices but the best thing on the menu is the Irish breakfast. There is a good kids menu also. Excellent coffee that they are good about topping off regularly. They also serve Berrys brand tea.
Updated Review (3/27/16): Since my review things have drastically changed here and not for the better. Butter used to be made, now its prepackaged pats. Eggs used to taste fresh now they just dont. The whole place smells and needs a good scrubbing. Servers should not be standing in front of the entrance smoking. The attitude in general is just plain sad. Skip it. Go to McKays for a better experience and better food.--------------------------This place has become our new favourite breakfast spot. The staff is friendly, there is a ton of space and even on this past Mothers Day, there was no wait for a table and the food came out fast and hot! Will have to come back for lunch or dinner.
Nice, quiet atmosphere, friendly staff. Great food as well as great prices. Its a great local go to or a nice diner to try out if your that type (i am!). I ordered a breakfast sandwich and homefries, both items were delicious and prepared and served promptly. Highly recommend especially if your looking for a new local spot.
Love this place!! Coffee is unlimited. I always ask for milk with my coffee because I don’t like the creamer packages. Any way, the salmon Benedict and the salmon plate are excellent! Great breakfast at a good price!
This is a nice local family-style breakfast place with some lunch options that also serves alcohol. You walk in and get to seat yourself. The breakfast is what you expect: eggs, waffles, pancakes, omelettes, etc. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The weekends here get very busy, which shows that this is a good value.
I tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am obsessed since then. I love the good mood and delightful dishes and drinks. Fantastic work.
Impeccable service, always helpful and with a smile. Keep up the GREAT WORK 👍👍😁
Good local food. Staff was very friendly and always ready to refill coffee/jucies. Fresh and cooked to order food completed this great experience. There are tons of options on the menu for any appetite. Will be eating here again!
If you want a breakfast place with off-street parking and no wait, you should stop on by to Granite Street Cafe. Great variety of breakfast options that come out quickly and hot. For those of you who want a simple breakfast, this place still offers your standard eggs, toast, and hash browns for about $2.50. My safety breakfast restaurant when all else fails!
Great breakfast restaurant. Friendly staff, good food, large selection. Always stop here when were in Quincy.
Great food excellent portions and fast service with a great atmosphere for breakfast.
Very clean and comfortable. Our waitress was very nice. Got the Hash special. Very tasty. Just a little too salty. Another table ordered the Texas French toast amd it looked amazing. Going to have to go back and try that. Great coffee.
Found this place as I was looking for a small breakfast spot nearby and my expectations were blown through the roof! The food was cooked to the my specifications (as complicated as they were), whomever the chef was needs to have their face plastered out front. The bartender was a delight, made our drinks perfectly and I will be travelling another 2 hours to come here again!
Great place 👌
I always enjoy having breakfast here. I hear alot of people put them down for cost or something but Ive never had a prob here! Breakfast Food is very good. So Im going to give credit where credit is due
Breakfast here is nothing special but the price is good. It also offers more seating than most breakfast places in Quincy and has a parking lot. Staff is very nice too and they serve a hearty Irish breakfast option
Love this place. Posting review from breakfast the other day. Always good service and good food. Love their mimosas too!
The best coffee ever. Were talking Italian bistro level. Great breakfast & service too. The home fries are crispy and seasoned really nice. Ive also been for lunch and dinner a few times and its always great. Now during the pandemic (6/19/20) they are serving smoothies. The Albanian chef who runs this place used to work at restaurant in the North End. Its obvious that these folks are not in it for a fast buck and really care about food.
Best place around and the food you will love it fact. the waitresses are great the atmosphere is great. Saturday nights karaoke night also a fun night a must go see, good times.
