I had two kittens stuck in the dashboard of my van. I called them and they squeezed me in even though they were super busy. They were AMAZING and saved both the kittens. They spent HOURS taking everything apart and putting it back together and just said to buy them lunch! I will definitely be recommending this shop to everyone I know. What amazing people!! Called and explained my situation, I was told they couldn’t get it in until next week. I was so frustrated because I had purchased the car making this noise that had gotten louder overtime. I was told I could drop it off that day if I wasn’t going to be driving and that way if a spot opened up it would be looked at sooner. I dropped it off that same day a couple hours before closing. I was made fully aware it might be there until the end of the following week. At that point the dealership I purchased it from was say my only option was to trade it and that the two warranty I had purchased would not cover it and the dealer mechanic said they did do everything that needed done. So I dropped it off hoping and praying but also upset the dealership told me at purchase this vehicle had been through general inspection and was GMC certified vehicle. Then on Monday I received a call and had several options to pick from. The entire time I was complaining my entire exhaust needed to be done. They fixed it right away and I had my vehicle back before the day they was supposed to be looking at it and she ran and sounded better then she did at time of repair. I have to be honest they were so patient through my frustration got to my car earlier than scheduled explained the problem and my options clearly and my vehicle is better than it was at time of purchase. Not to mention the dealership offered to trade it so they saved me a ton of car payments. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them from now on. So happy I was referred to this place a hidden gem.

I am so very happy with my service and my car is running and driving great. I own a 1956 dodge and was looking desperately for a repair shop to work on my classic car it needed brakes, gas tank, and steering and they were able to finds parts and repaired my car and as stated above it is driving better than it ever has since I owned the car.

Gave me the run around. Was trying to do an engine swap on my step daughters jeep called them on the 4th they told me they would get me quote and call me back i waited until the 8th called them back they said they were having trouble finding a motor with low miles. Called again on the 12th same thing. Finally called back on the 15th and talked to a different person who said she didnt even think they did engine swaps she took my info and said she would talk to her boss and get back to me that night. Its been a week and still havent heard from her. Called another place they took my info called me back within 15 mins and well the jeep is going there today. Wont be using Govednik ever

Transmission is a very tedious job to replace on an automobile. They worked on it until it was right. Though it was brought in several times because of leaks, a bad kit and other abnormalities, they got it on the road again. Road tested and now it is running smoothly.

First time customer of Govednik...went looking for a new shop to service our older vehicles and found them on an internet search with stellar reviews, so we thought wed give them a try. To my surprise they were able to schedule the appointment within 2 days. They diagnosed my problem, gave me a quote for the work, and also recommended additional work that I was due for and would be cheaper to perform in conjunction with the repair work I needed. I really appreciate being made aware of the maintenance needs of my vehicle. Amanda was very efficient and a good communicator via phone and text. So far their repairs have been successful 😁. Well be back.

I have taken two of my vehicles to Govednik Automotive for major repairs, and both times the repairs were done well and on or before the time they said. I compared their prices to other mechanics in the area and they are very fair. They have earned my trust and business!

Brian took the time to really delve into what the issue was that was causing the car to not start(at the most inopportune times for no apparent reason) We truly appreciated his help and care! I have used Govedniks for years. I keep coming back because I get great service for a great price. They are very good at what they do. I have never had a problem they could not correct. My biggest problem, they rebuilt my transmission in my diesel, Ford Excursion. Runs as smooth as it ever did.

I brought my Audi in with a pretty random, intermittent problem in the wheel, and they were able to diagnose it beyond the numerous possibilities and get it perfect the first time. Not only that, but they went above and beyond and looked at the vehicle as a whole, and brought something to my attention that I had no knowledge of, even after two other shops had seen that area up-close just months ago.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I would gladly bring any vehicle here in the future.

Clearly explained light electric issue with an AFTERMARKET HID / LED headlight system. Clearly explained the issue was not in the light assembly as I had tested all bulbs, ballasts and lights. Issue was in the relays / battery connection / fuse. Nothing to do will the fully operable silicon sealed light assemblies. Asked if they had someone good with a multimeter. They said yes, drop car on Monday. I explained I needed to leave on a work trip and was instructed to drop the car over the weekend which I did. Didnt receive a phone call for days then was told they dont have time to work on aftermarket lights. At no time did they offer any solution after keeping my car for a week. There was never any discussion about parts or hourly cost which I would have gladly paid... for good work.Terrible communication and atrocious customer service. Other than that, brilliant work. Thanks guys.

Fast, inexpensive service. Had my car back in 24 hours and lower than price expected. Besides the work requested they did a 27 point vehicle inspection. Their work enabled my car to pass emissions. Highly recommend.

There was a small annoying issue with my transmission. They had two suggestions after driving it to verify my concern. One possible fix was something they could not do due to it being master CPU related requiring the dealership and another possible fix they could do. Instead of just immediately starting with what they could do they suggested I try the dealership first without charging me for the diagnosis. Had they suggested it I would have paid them to try their way first but they had the integrity to forgo work for themselves and send me away. It turned out their fix was the appropriate one in the end and I was happy to pay them because they had been straight with me. I got an appointment the next day after calling and it was completed quickly and successfully. I have a new mechanic for life.

I first came to Govedniks when my 2002 Toyota Tundras radiator failed and antifreeze mixed into my transmission fluid. When this happed my truck stalled as I was making a left hand turn off of Greenbay Rd. Thankfully the road I turned on was downhill and I was able to coast out of the way of oncoming traffic. Scary. Anyway I had it towed to Govedniks after looking up multiple reviews of the nearest shops near me. I chose Govedniks because they had excellent reviews. Reliable, professional, friendly, and prices that were honest, for the work they performed.The Govedniks shop is somewhat in a difficult location on Durand but its not to hard to get to. Regardless, its worth it. You walk in to their tiny little office, but the service people have very friendly, patient personalities. Ive been to other shops and at times I just felt like they werent there to help me but to just get the job and make the best buck they can. But this wasnt the case with Govedniks. They were professional, and gave me time to think things through and about what I wanted to do in regards to the work they offered as well as for their price.Auto work is normally expensive regardless of where you go. So I normally do my own maintenance. But the price to fix my radiator I felt it was worth it. And I felt that the People who I met In the shop; Brian, Greg, and forgive me, I think her name was Amy, had lots of experience and would do a high quality job. So I went ahead and had them replace the radiator along with related work. They were quick and followed through with how long they estimated the work would take. I enjoyed the experience so much, and the ease of the visits, that I couldnt help but continue to bring the truck over for other routine maintenance that I would other wise do myself.Honest Five Stars for me. If your considering going to go to Govedniks, check them out. Im sure youll be very satisfied.P.s another story for later. But in January months later. I was hauling a light load of concrete on Greenbay rd. to take for recycling and then my Transmission died... while making a left hand turn onto 21st Street. Thankfully and Happily I got through that experience safely. And that time, I new exactly where I was going to tow my truck, to Govedniks.

I heard a lot of good things about this repair shop unfortunately, my experience wasnt so good. I asked Brian when would be a good time to actually bring my car and have them see to and work on it. It was 3 days before they even started diagnostics. After a WEEK of my car being there all he had to show for it was a hand written list of problems. I spent about $400 in a car rental with nothing to show for it. Worst experience ever. I just took my car and left.

To begin with - these guys are First Class all the way.We own a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr - with about 98,000 original miles - which developed a severe engine problem. After two reputable opinions form other repair shops - we were about to head for the salvage yard - until I read about Govednik Automotive in an on-line review. I called and explained what I “knew”, based on the other assessments, to Brian who said that he would be interested in taking a look and making a diagnosis.Govednik’s arranged for a local tow (at a contract rate); the next day they were “into it”. Phase one was a compression check which indicated that the engine could produce... then the work to correct ignition & combustion issues... thoroughly quoted before any work began (parts & labor). That work was done but there was still a timing issue - which on further review was described a “major” - mainly due to the labor involved to remove, repair & reinstall. Brian suggested exploring a used engine and assured that the work that had already been done would complement the work that would be done.We were offered a couple of options - Govednik’s are selective in the sources they use for finding this type of part, and we agreed on a used engine, with only 50,000 miles, from a reliable source with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. The work was completed, along with a few other items they found along the way (no charge) and the final cost was exactly to the estimate - no surprises.While this type of repair is one no one wants to have to encounter - especially cost-wise - I can confidentially state that Govednik’s did their best to address the repair - with quality, value and with timely & efficient communication. Their approach is customer focused, honest and courteous. I am impressed and they have gained a customer “for life” when it comes to the repair and maintenance of our vehicles. I highly recommend Govednik Automotive without reservation.

Had transmission problems that ended up being bigger than I had anticipated. They showed me the bad parts, explained why it had happened and did an excellent job of rebuilding the transmission. When I went to leave it was just 4 degrees. My truck, a diesel, got across the street and died because the fuel lines had gelled up. Brian helped me out and back on my way. Thanks to Gregg, the mechanic, Brian and the rest of the crew.

Couldnt put no stars. Was there not more than 3 weeks ago. Had a motor put in spent over 2600 on it to have it break down on me. Had to replace the starter, alternator.....its in a shop right now. I wanted to go to this place first Rightous Auto great reliable people that back their work. They were busy at the time when I needed my truck. I could have gone there because the time it was done they Rightous Auto could have done it for me. Lesson learned. I feel ripped off and nothing no woranty to help it be fixed! I will no longer be going here first and last time. Was told I was given a deal on our original agreement on the price but some how in the end it exceeded it by 200! Hmmmmm
