I visited Harveys on the 4th with the intention of possibly leasing a new Malibu LS because of a Chevrolet commercial I had seen while watching tv the rim was about 4:00PM (no one is there) I checked Google before going hopefully they keep their page updated (wrong). I then visited on the 5th of July which was a Wednesday I approach with my parents in the car with me (keep in mind they are both over 40) I politely introduce myself and say that I have a down payment of $3,000 dollars which would cover the money due at signing... I was met with mockery from an average height white guy he mockingly said You cant test drive anything not factoring my age until I say Im 17 and have a license. I was so displeased with his attitude I asked to speak with another sales associate he was African American and average height as well. At this point you can see Im not remembering names because Im so un pleased. They inform they have no LS stock and make no effort to try and find an alternative so I have to interject and say do they have any LTs since they are the same platform and engine ( I predominantly wanted to see the ride quality). He pulls around a red Malibu LT with Black Interior and gets out handing the keys to my dad. I was told I couldnt drive earlier so I take a seat in the passenger side meanwhile he ask my father would you like me to come along? My father is slightly more patient and passive than I am so Im assuming he said yes thats fine so the salesman got in (he probably was skeptical that my dad would pass the car over to me after leaving the lot). We take the test drive and Im better informed about the car then the salesman (not trying to be rude but he seemed lost). We returned and it down poured in rain so he parked the car and jets toward a customer standing under the roof/covering on the front of the dealership. I go inside to look at the Camaro my younger sister was looking at and they are packing to leave (they were rushing us out of the showroom), keep in mind their published hours say they close @7 pm it was 6:32PM at the time so they should have been professional and not been so rude. We finally leave and I have to say I will no longer be searching or considering buying from Harveys after this experience. You have lost a customer and a sale, but Im sure you dont care seeing as you have a very low sales rate judging by the stagnant inventory that sits on your lot. Turn your attention to Shelor Motor Mile, Berglund, Duncan, anyone besides these rude and dismissive employees.Sincerely,Tanner Hash
