Friendly, helpful staff. Affordable prices. We were able to find everything we needed to care for our breeding rabbits. Caught a great deal on .22 ammo. I love the clothing selection, as well!

I always love going. I stock up on supplies there. Today however, I know the supplies are not moving correctly, but they were out of my olive oil. Best price in town.

I dont often shop here, but I probably should. They have comparable, if not cheaper, prices than Walmart on pet supplies. I just purchased two extra large zero gravity lounge chairs for under $90 each, which is a great deal. They have a nice selection of heavy duty clothing and some really nice fishing supplies. I was surprised at how diverse their products were. I will definitely be checking out more deals from this store. They are using the same mask mandate at most other places, wear one unless youve been vaccinated.

My dad went today to get some fencing wire it was on the very top shelf needing a forklift to get it down. He went up front to ask the cashier for help three times and they kept saying ok we will get someone back there to help you and they never did. He waited forty five minutes and didnt get no help needles to say they lost a sell and a customer.

If you are someone who is at home in the outdoors, then you have to go visit your local Rural King store. The store is large and well stocked with more items than you can believe. I find new stuff every time I go. Rarely do I even see all the equipment outside when I visit, but then I realize how much is outside too!

Such a great addition to the area. Huge selection of treats & food for pets, as well as vitamins & first aid. You can bring your k9 companion in the store w/you as well, theyll even give them a treat. You absolutely cannot beat their prices on guns. When they can get ammo, you cant beat the prices on that either. For the most part, everyone is super friendly & great customer service. The only things I dont like is that they have someone sitting at a table as you walk in that has to tell you about the store credit card. Just annoying to have to he approached every single time you walk in the store. Also, if youre buying something that has been marked down, pay attention when checking out b/c it rarely rings up correctly

Love rural king. I like seeing the chickens ducks and rabbits!! Plus they have big bags of candy that anyone can stock pile on! Oh and last but not least the giant chick stuffed animals!!!! Yes!! Go visit!!! Great place for farming gear for a cheap price! They also have good deals on pet shots.

When Im in the area, I always come to Rural King for birdseed. They have good deals on a few other things. Make sure to pick up a tube of chicken poop lip balm at the counter $2.49. Best lip balm Ive found. Restrooms open which is good because can hardly find anywhere open with public restrooms. We travel from Roanoke so thats a MUST!

After finally getting checked out, looked at my receipt and realized I got charged for something not purchased. Another 20 minutes to get a refund.

Love just look around, have a little of everything

This was the place to go once upon a time but now not so much. U stand in line and workers will be standing around and talking to each other or on there phone. They dont do there price changes either shelf says one price rings up another. Thats not the customer fault they should get it for what the shelf price says. Have seen dead mice in the floor, birds flying around and the mouse oder in the dog food section is awful. I wont buy from there when it is bad. And the prices just keep getting higher and higher. On Monday laying pellets was $12.79 then on Friday the same week they were $18.49. something just doesnt add up in my opinion. TSC here I come.

Always a great store. We come here for just about everything besides groceries lol. Prices are great, staff is friendly and store is always clean.

Rural King has a great selection of tools and equipment. The only reason I give four stars is because checkout usually takes over 5 minutes. The front is very understaffed, while I also witness other store employees goofing around and not helping make the store experience go more smoothly.

I called about landscape timbers... Was told we have plenty... And they did... $6.99 each... I needed 15... I couldnt find even 1 in the pile of apr 30 that was worth $1 let alone $7!! Then as Im unloading them because I decided a refund was the way to go... A young employee walks up and instead of greeting me and asking if I needed assistance... He snipped at me for my receipt!! I explained my boss had it inside the store getting a refund and that was why I was UNloading the timbers!! He did help by unloading 3 of them! Oh yeah... I loaded my own 15 bags of mulch because they seemed to disappear!! I would have prob gotten a refund on that too but I didnt want to unload it!!!Rural King should be very disappointed in the quality of products they are offering their customers!! I understand the lumber issues right now.... But if you cant get quality products ( for $7 each)... Leave the product off the floor!

I loved royal king. They have a lot of cool stuff, however I did have trouble getting checked out. I waited for around 30 mins to get a few chickens. Which was a pain because I had 1 of my young children with me and he was throwing a fit and misbehaving. 😀

My husband called at 12:42 and asked what the price of a ton of wood pellets was. He was told $200 even and reiterated it to the guy on the phone to make sure it was correct. So we got a babysitter and planned our outting around visiting this store which is an hour from where we live. After walking around the store browsing and enjoying it we went to checkout, added a ton of pellets to our bill. Pellets rang up $234 so while they were loading up my husband I talked to customer service about our earlier communication with one of the employees, telling them we were told the bulk price was $200. I was kind and patient and pretty much made to feel like I was trying to scam them. Are phone conversations recorded because it’s bothering me and we wasted gas to go out of our way to support this business, when it would have been cheaper to shop locally. I made sure to check my husbands call log when we got home to make sure he didn’t call the wrong place. He did not. I have never written a negative review because I have never been is a situation like this. What happened to the customer is always right? I have worked retail since out of high school and this was very poorly handled and humiliating. I would love to change my review because we really did like the store but we probably won’t be shopping there anymore and at this point cannot recommend.

We have been to several locations and the bathrooms here I would say need a total gut and remodel. These are not something you want your mother or child using. Other locations have a totally different appearance. Nice fresh newer and not at all like this.

Little disappointed. Went to buy some chicks. Seemed employees were busy chatting and texting on phones. Seemed put out when asked to purchase chicks. Dropped them in the box. Felt she was Just not happy she was there it seemed. Also, dead chicks laying in with others should be removed immediately. We seen at least 6 dead in one batch. So far, we have lost one of the kind we purchased and the others do not look well. Hesitant to purchase more.....

You probably do not realize how great a store like this is until you live where one isnt. Prices are good and selection is great. Is the merchandise the top of the line, 1st choice? In many cases, no it isnt. However, I was surpass by how many top choices they did carry.I wish there was a Rural King in Dinwiddie, Virginia.

Great shopping there. They had what I needed and service was great. Workers were very happy to serve.

As always they have what I want and good prices.

The best way to change our rating would be correct the following:On the weekends have more than one cashier and the service desk open for checkout. At least 3 times we were ready to check out with several things and the lines were into the clothing and no new lanes were opened (and we know you werent short-handed so I will leave it at that) so we left our buggy with merchandise and left. If this was a COVID issue we would understand but it isnt.

Love Rural King, its like tractor supply on steroids, with firearms and Stihl. Their house brand jeans are 9.99 and i like then better than wranglers. I still love you Tractor Supply, but i have a mistress now.

The few times Ive been here have always been positive. Not to mention all the cute little animals lol. Plus they have all sorts of cool equipment

Website said the item I was looking for was in stock. Couldnt find it and asked for help. I was told where it might be and never offered assistance to locate it. Very frustrating and poor customer service. Also, the public restrooms are a mess. Why cant they upgrade the facilities. I normally wouldnt go in but with kids its hard to avoid sometimes.

This store is always in stock, courteously. As far as not wearing masks, I appreciate not having to wear my mask, just like at the grocery store! Wearing a face mask lowers your immune system, and it would not suprise me if many got sick the moment that everyone takes their mask off. All of you who give 1 star for Rural King allowing freedom should take down your review. Five stars all the way up! I thank God that HERE is a FAIR buisness(not like the rest of the country). Who jacks up the prices double to make money off of this pandemic!?!?!? Not Rural King, no. God bless Rural King.
