Since change in ownership, this shop is not the same. Despite the sign on the door saying masks were required, I walked in and after waiting for someone to come to the counter (they never did), I saw a man in back, rolling out dough. His mask down on his chin and he coughed not once but twice directly over the dough. I walked out.

Great selection of soft, warm donuts and pastries less than an hour before closing. Happy place to cure that sweet tooth after work. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite donut shop. The place is impeccably clean. The donuts are always fresh and make me melt. No skimping on the toppings either. They double dip the donuts in the icing. The jelly fillled are really filled full.

Kind Asian man took our order. Their donuts are amazing I get them whenever Im in Rancho Cordova. Unfortunately if you dont make it super early they sell out of their donut holes which are amazing

Great service if youre straight to the point.I was getting donuts for my team, and hadnt before.They helped me get a random bunch of donuts, and since I was on a bike they helped accommodate my transportation to help get my order to its new home.They are quick to get you in and out, fast and good service however not much of a talking bunch

Wasnt open when it was supposed to be with no notice on the door or anything. This was according to the hours posted on the window, not mistaken hours on Google or something. Just left me confused.

Failed to fill my order. Called ahead 4 days in advance and reserved donuts for as special party, told them I would pick them up at 12 on Saturday. Saturday rolls around and I get there at 12 only to be greeted by a closed sign. I knock on the door and the lady said she forgot to make my order and if I wanted to I could pick from what they had leftover, but dont worry she would still charge me the same. Excuse me? Thanks for making my busy day even more difficult, will never stop here again.

Everything they make is delicious and fresh. They come put too much glaze on the donut holes, and the process are great. Worth a bit of a trip.

My daughter went in to get us donuts, I could not physically go in so she video chatted me. When she got to the counter she was told next time you want to show someone the donuts bring them in WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS!!! And then she was never given a total for the bill, and the lady put her card on the counter when she was done with the transaction instead of handing it to her. And to add when she got home the order was wrong. So I called the establishment to speak with the manager, and was told there is no manager and he hung up on me. We will NEVER go to this establishment again!!!

Best place in the city. I love the taste of these donuts and they always go above and beyond if I want something! They made a fresh pot of coffee for me and filled a donut just to be amazing. I come from Texas and unlike some people in this city... they really talk to you. Great customer service from both the man and woman who work there. If you havent tired their croissants their mmmazing!

The service has gotten better since they hired on this new friendly woman. Keep up the good customer service and perhaps Ill give it 5 stars. Its really old feel inside but the doughnuts are delicious.

Donut King is one of the best Donut shops in Rancho Cordova. Ive had A LOT of Donuts (trust me lol) & NONE of them are as good as this specific spot!Try the Chocolate or Maple bar, Yummm!

Used to be better donuts with good selection, thicker frosting, and nice customer service... New service people are rude, donuts seem day old and not fresh and frosting is so thin it cracks.

This donut shop is the only one I care to visit in my neighborhood. Its everything you expect a donut shop should have, coffee and a large selection of donuts. There is one closer to where I live, Alans donuts, but they are awful. They have a poor selection of donuts and seem to be out or have a very small verity the 5 times Ive visited them.Donut King has it all. Its always stocked no matter what time of day. Great tasting donuts with the right amount of frosting. I drive out of my way for this place and so should you!

Gloomy shop. Was met with a sarcastic worker who would tap on donut tag as if to say look at the tag and that will tell you even though that had nothing to do with the question. He would then put in crumpled donuts in the box. Id get better service from zombies.Didnt matter because the donuts were average and filled donuts had dots for filling.Note that this is under new management so maybe they need time to live up to the previous owners game instead of riding on the Donut King name for business.Best bet is to go elsewhere.

Donut King donuts were brought to my work today. They were fresh, light, not greasy and the chocolate was thick and rich. I didnt go to the store, so I dont know about the service, but the donuts were great.

There is no excuse for the lack of donuts available or variety at 9 am. This place when the older couple ran it was packed with donuts well into the afternoon.Since the nephew took over, quality has gone down hill, and nothing to choose from by 10 am. Better off going somewhere else. This once great donut shop is no more. Apple fritters are overcooked and greasy.The nephew doesn’t care and neither should you.

The donuts taste good but the service is terrible. I treated my kids to breakfast at this shop. I have small children and as anyone with young kids would know, it can be a challenge. So my kids are fairly well behaved, they take a few moments to pick their donuts. So as were sitting down the Hispanic lady that works there turns to her co-worker and says its so annoying when people take a long time to order. To top that off she says it loudly. Sadly thats the atmosphere 8 times out of 10. They obviously have no passion for what they do.

This Donut King has the best pinapple croissants I have ever tried.

Id love to review their donuts, but their atm declined my chip. Instead of trying to fix the issue, the man didnt seem to care when I explained he might try swiping it if his chip reader is down. I went down the street and used my atm card chip down the street and it worked, no issue. Bring cash.

Im never coming here again. Ive given this place too many chances. I found a hair in my doughnut, and I realized they are never wearing hair nets. I still came back, every time I said hello/how are you. They would ignore me and pretend not to hear, OR look disgusted that I would ask such a thing.

THIRD RATE DONUTS IN RANCHODonuts seem stale/old. Asked guy to give me fresh ones from the racks and racks of fresh donuts behind him. He refused and would only sell me ones from the few in the case. I told him I understood if some were still too hot /fragile to handle so I asked him for any of the ones that were ready. He refused and insisted that the ones in the case were fresh. WHEN I GO TO A DONUT SHOP AT 4:45 AM I WANT FRESH DONUTS. The Donut King guy can save his these are fresh bullshit for someone else because I wont be coming back. I left without any donuts. Either of the two other doughnut places in Rancho are better than these City donuts.

Staff is not very happy. Too queit and act like they dont want to be there. Went there again and they opened 15 minutes late, donut case was nearly empty. Would not let me get fresh donut from the large rack full. Told me I can only get from the case which was empty. Never going again.

Ive been to this place three times lately. The lady at the counter didnt seem to be so happy to serve. The donuts were not different from many other places. A cup of coffee is normal expected.If I need something right away, I would stop by. Otherwise, ...........
