Terrible dealer. Leave your car their at your own risk. Left my Mclaren for an issue with the door lock (under warranty), was called and informed they had broken the tonneau cover and I would be receiving an invoice for the cost to repair!After resolving the issue I mistakenly attempted to consign the car with them, when the manager told me I had to consign it at a price that was equivalent to privately listed cars with previous accident damage and that theyd never be able to sell it at the price I suggested (the cheapest orange spider on the market with no damage).Avoid.
I havent dealt with a single person who works here who has decent listening skills. Everyone looks and sounds angry with one another. Id rather drive to San Diego for service from higher quality technicians.
First the good:1. Buying experience was great. I was able to get the car for the price I wanted without much issue. Jeremiah Valentine did a great job.2. The car was delivered to Louisiana and it was covered in oil from the transport company. Jeremiah worked with me to get me reimbursed from the detailing that had to be done.Now the bad:1. The finance manager did not contact me until I had already put all my down payment down. Jeremiah told me a Luis Would be reaching out to me to go over the contracts. I was not reached out to. I had to reach out and try and makes sense of 29 pages of contracts. I was asked after I reached out “oh did you have any questions?” Then the next day or so I got a call from the same guy telling me he was reaching out about the contracts. Poor communication at the very least.2. The car was delivered without anyway to drive it. I was stuck without any way to get to the bottom of it. This was not discussed at point of sale. If it were I would not have bought here. Long story short, and through my Own research, I found that the car had to be registered through their “third-party company” when I had a Louisiana company that could do it in 2 days. Luis had a 3 way call with my company and we discussed it and Luis said that we should just wait another two weeks because they couldn’t use my company. 3 weeks later I follow up...with no emails or updates...i wait for 2 days with no response then I text Jeremiah and tell him the situation. Luis sends me an email finally and says it will be two more weeks and the paper work is at the Louisiana DMV.In the meantime it has been 5 weeks since I bought the car. Already paid my first note. Haven’t been able to drive it at all legally. Worst of all I have had family emergencies. Tropical storm preparations, and a host of other things I needed a car for.This has been the worst car purchasing/handling I have ever went through. Jeremiah gets 2 stars and that is the most I can do.
Avoid this place if you can. They are prompt when collecting money and getting your downpayment is non-negotiable, but as soon as it comes to delivering the car I purchased and paperwork to drive it they were non-existent. They told me I would have to ride dirty for awhile. I had issues DAYS after the car was delivered that put my families safety at risk and had to wait 2 weeks to even get it to the service department. They will promise you anything to get it off the lot. Greg makes you feel like family until you sign paperwork, then you might as well be a stranger to him. They tried to reassure me every time the car broke down that this was uncommon, but Im sure it isnt. BE CAREFUL before you make any decisions at this place. I was completely taken advantage of here.
Finding our ideal vehicle on INDIGO, Desert European Motorcars website, we contacted the dealership and left a message for a sales associate to call us. Within 15 minutes we received a call from Austin Lewis. He was prompt, efficient and responded to all our inquiries right away. It was truly a pleasure dealing with him.We agreed on the terms of our trade, and based on Austins assurances, we left two days later and drove to Desert European Motorcars in Rancho Mirage, CA., over 1,100 miles away.Since we only had Austins word and had not signed any documents prior to our departure, we were very concerned that once at the dealership something might go wrong! I purchased a vehicle from Rancho Mirage Land Rover with the help of their internet manager Cody Dreier. I live 6 hours away in AZ and was originally just browsing when I came across one of their vehicle listings and decided to inquire on availability simply to have as an available option, but I was extremely hesitant on buying a car out of state. I was contacted by Cody shortly after and he eased my reluctance by reassuring me on the relative ease there is to such a process. He gave me the information I needed in a manner that didn’t make me feel pressured, which I appreciated so we made a deal over the phone. He picked me up from the car rental agency, and had the vehicle nice and detailed for me. Cody also made sure to have all my paperwork in order by the time I got to the dealership. Now of course there is always some sort of rules or red tape when buying a car out of state that may cause minor inconvenience, but it was worth the overall experience. Thank you Cody for your help, compared to past car-buying experiences I’ve had, he made this one a quick and easy process.
I wasnt planning to buy a new car but my wife and my anniversary was right around the corner and we always drive by there on the way home to San Diego after visiting my mom. We the car was on the lot and Scott and Shad were very professional so we ended up taking the car home the same evening. Now we have two white Porsches! An 06 and a 17. My wife gets to drive the new one I will will drive the 06 for fun! I would recommend this dealership highly to anyone looking to buy a Porsche!
We purchased a Mercedes AMG. Awesome vehicle and we got a fair deal. We were pressured a little by the salesman. Like he had someone coming in at three who was interested in buying the car. That was a tactic used in the 60s and not necessary. All in all we are very pleased. Would recommend this dealer.
Had a great buying experience with Greg for my new lease. However when Desert European agreed to purchase my used Range Rover it took numerous phone calls and over 4 weeks to get paid. They originally told me 7 days to receive a check for my old car which I felt was more than enough time. I have sold other cars to dealerships and they cut the check the next day. Time for them to get their act together.
The staff is very friendly and tries their best to be helpful. I had some frustrations with the repair process, however, once management became aware of the issues they did their best to make it right. Overall, I found that this dealership, specifically the management team acted with integrity and did their best to make a difficult situation better. Things dont always work as planned, but they showed me that they really care about their customers and their business. As a result, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to family/friends in the future.
I love my new F-type! Shes already part of the family. Our experience started strong with Jeff. He was very informative and helpful. However, when trying to finish the deal, he got pulled in many directions. I guess it was a busy selling day. Eric came in to finish with us. He made the situation right and enjoyable. Overall, we had a good experience.

This time my car buying experience was off the charts. Mike the sales manager and his sales associates Mathew and Louis were exceptionally professional💯. No shadiness whatsoever. I felt very comfortable and I am a very cautious buyer. My new rover is my favourite car ever, but I think my choice ultimately in this deal was due to my superb treatment at this dealership😀. Chad Ingram and the expert technicians at Desert European Motors deserve the automotive service Oscar for outstanding service in a desperate situation. The Low coolant light in my Jaguar lit in the middle of the Mojave desert with no cell phone service and no way to get help. I had to drive the car some distance to a location where I could contact road service. The engine needed to be disassembled, the heads remilled and and reinstalled. Not only did they restore the car and save me the $21,000 for a new engine, but Desert European absorbed significant labor cost and they went to bat for me with Jaguar which graciously paid 2/3 of the repair costs. This is customer service beyond excellent - this is the acid test example of putting the customer first . Outstanding!!!

On February 16th, I scheduled my 2001 Jaguar Type S 4.0 for a 26,000 mile (yes the miles are accurate) oil change/inspection with Greg the service manager who was very accomidating despite being shorthanded. Chad Ingram, my service advisor later called to say the AC compressor was failing due to age and would be much pricier to fix once it failed. They would need my car an extra day and extended my loaner. When I came in, my car had been washed and dried to perfection. Incidentally, the new on site car agency, Beverly Hills Cars, is a huge improvement over Hertz for either rentals or loaners. Very nice people. I must say I appreciate the friendly professionalism displayed by everyone with whom I come in contact at Desert European Jaguar. Very classy organization.

The new ownership have destroyed what was once a great dealership. Service sucks. Not enough people to handle the customer traffic. 4th time in a row I had to wait days to get our cars back. Priced out tires and brakes at Desert European and it seemed outrageous. It was. I got them for 40% cheaper but had to drive to the Newport Beach dealership. They believe that since they have a captive audience in the desert they do not have to provide good service and they can gouge.
Pre- and post-sale service has been first class. Will not hesitate to recommend.

Michael in Audi Rancho Mirage sales was “top shelf” with his professionalism, follow through and looking out for my interest. I thank Michael for delivering on that great experience! Not only was my pre-sales experience great, so was my post-sales experience (where many dealerships fail). The sales manager Nicholas took excellent care of me and went above and beyond obligations…thank you. Ive been buying vehicles for 40 years and this is the only dealership that I have repeat purchases. Desert European Motorcars listed a vehicle I wanted on their website. I inquired on Jan 11, and after a series of emails and phone conversations, we agreed on a deal on January 14th. Salesperson agreed to pick me up from the airport as I would fly in from out of town to pick it up. I offered to put down deposit via Paypal or wire, however was told that it was not necessary at this point. On Jan 15th I was informed that the car had been sold to someone else! For those familiar with the Toyota commercial, I guess I needed to lick the car to really place my claim on it.What was even more aggravating than having the car sold out from under me, was that the GM Shad never answered three simple questions 1. how did it happen and could be prevented in the future 2. help me find a similar car in the Porsche network or 3. get creative on another car to make it worth my while. He never replied to emails, and only left voicemails for me...I was never able to get him live on the phone...always “in a meeting.” Absolutely gutless and lacking in integrity.
I recently had a problem with my 1999 Jaguar XK8, the service department had trouble isolating the problem because as they found out the computer in my car was not receiving in any information due to faulty wires. Then they found out the Jaguar stopped making the faulty wire harness that was faulty but service department came up with an alternative solution and resolved the problem by thing outside the box, my Kuddos to them.Phil Corvinus
