They had a blade adapter for our lawn mower that I couldn’t even find at Lowe’s or Home Depot, Amazon didn’t even have it. Was super impressed to find it here. Staff is always super helpful . Recommend this store to anyone yes!

Rathdrum Trading Post has a very homey feeling. Definitely not a corporate feeling. Sometimes it takes awhile to get help when you need it. Store is clean and has a nice layout. Good variety of goods and services. There are Veterans discounts in place. You can even find items hand crafted by local artists such as candles, metal signs, and some wood work. Personnel is knowledgeable and eager to help. I think they are slightly understaffed though. As I referred to earlier, it sometimes takes awhile to get help when needed. Wecwill continue to make this our hardware store of choice.

Rented a rototiller on Friday to use for a job on Saturday then found out we needed a bigger/better rototiller. Once again yesterday the wonderful Trading Post staff went above and beyond for us. They were able to “unjam” a piece of small power equipment and we greatly appreciate this. A few years ago after moving to Rathdrum we stopped in after closing time for a home need. Though they were closed they allowed us to get our needed items. The whole crew/team here rocks! Thank you.

3/4 dowel from your store on the right and 3/4 dowel from home depot on the right. Of course I cut the two 4 foot sticks I had up into 12 lengths before trying use them in a project and the dowels you have are not 3/4

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. If they dont have it they can normally order it in for you at no problem. Love a local business like this and they have a great fasteners guy there who is amazing with troubleshooting just about any problem and if he cant, then he has a pretty good idea of where to direct you to. They also have local vendors art on display for your home or garden that are great for gifts or for yourself! Always a great place to check out.

Better than Ace in somethings needed pocket screws Ace sells singles this place had packaged. Friendly and helpful staff. A little pricey on a few things, but its closer than the big box stores

I love them.If you have to move timber, slash, or downed trees they have CHOKERS! This is the only place I have found them locally. They price is great too.Friendly and helpful. Love them!

The reason I rated Rathdrum Trading Post 5 stars is the people that work here. All of them are great. I enjoy shopping local and they have most everything I need. If you havent already been there, go try them out.

Decided to try it out, decent looking prices and selection. After comparing things for 5 minutes an employee comes up and asks if Im finding everything I need. I say Yup found it thanks, just comparing. He gets this serious look on his face and says I hope so. and walks away. The store staff get a 5 star rating, stores selection gets a 5 star rating, stores value gets 3 star. Just because youve got the monopoly in the area for hardware doesnt mean you have to overcharge. All-in-all I give it 4 stars.

First rate hometown hardware store. They have a lot of name brand power tools like Milwaukee an Makita. Plus, they don’t mob you at the door like they do at Ace.
