I had terrible customer service from the store owner this morning. Fed ex now has all my business as they gladly provided the shipping services and boxes that I needed. To the owner...no one was enticing you to break your rules! Shame on you for trying to twist this around. FED ex
Sent a package last Friday to Maine from KCMO. It arrived the day they said it would, no issues with damage, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Theyve now got ALL of my shipping business. Thank you!
This place is terrible. Theyre not helpful at all. I had questions about shipping certain items and the employees looked at me, in the eyes and said we dont work here, all we do is give packages to the drivers. I couldnt tell if this store is some joke or not, but it needs to be shut down.
Scams amazon return shipments. she telling people they have to pay surcharges and/or repacking/boxing fees. This is a violation of amazons ups shipping contract. amazon explicitly tells customers during the return process that ups(the shipper) will repackage and/or rebox the item. Simply return to the store and show the return code
Ive used this place several times. Ive called and asked questions about shipping and faxing and copying. They have been very informative and courteous. I even left something out of a box one time and they gladly opened it and put it in there for me. The lady manager was great.
Would give a 0 if possible. The owner is TERRIBLE!! I watched her SCREAM at a toddler for walking around pointing at things. Ill be back with 20+ people to touch EVERYTHING very soon.

All the good reviews are from people who spend hundreds of dollars because those are the customers she actually appreciates. If you are there to ship a simple package or make a copy, she doesnt want you there.
I shipped a package to my brother in California, and somehow he missed the package. They tried to deliver it once and it got sent back to this UPS store. The manager (Peggy) was so polite and offered to resend the package at no cost. Great customer service!
I had a great interaction with two employees (Jacob and Cody). They were super helpful and understanding to what I needed done.I dropped off my large package (without a box) and they took care of making a box for a simple shipping process for me.I had an abrupt phone conversation with a lady but didnt interact with her in person.
The guy that helped me just wanted to joke.Thus was the worst ups experience I have ever had.
I normally have no issues with them. BUT today my husband was given a hard time returning a SIMPLE Amazon return. He literally had 2 packages so for the life of me I dont understand why the store clerk couldnt take 2 minutes out of her day IN AN EMPTY store to point him in the right direction... like do your job. If you dont want to do your job, quit.My husband had the right code, all your employee had to do was point to the code he needed. You didnt have to do anything other than your job. Thats not a valid excuse to how your employee brushed him off...again...in an EMPTY STORE.
I wish I could provide a better review, I was in a hurry and flustered, the store wasn’t busy when I went in. There was very little helpful attitude there today. I’ve used this store multiple times and never had a problem, today was different. I won’t be going back! The comment we don’t provide technical support, when all I wanted to do was make an appointment with a notary was entirely uncalled for!

The REALLY OLD lady Peggy. was completely unhelpful. Returning 4 tires with one shipping invoice was my problem. So instead of just charging a couple dollars to just print 3 more shipping invoices for us. Just as easy as they charge for taping the invoices to the box?? she tells us theres nothing she can do. So we carry all four tires back instead of just getting it done... I said completely unhelpful! When you have a giant copy machine right behind you.. how do you not offer that? And with such a dismissive attitude I was denied so tell me how is this someone doing there job

Read the reviews after doing business here a few times. I was surprised to see poor reviews. Honestly some of the poor reviews were comical. I have bad days to, but try to except responsibility instead of taking it out on others . I returned today to print a large file and experienced great customer service from both the owner and the CS rep. Ill continue to do business with them.
Why bother having a notary service if A they are rarely there and B they wont notarize items. The person had no clue on the actual laws regarding notarizing signatures.ETA in response to their comment - they still need to read the law for Missouri regarding notary, apparently they have trouble even understanding something when its English.
Very poor customer service was called a thief and told not to come back into your store for a service I was not given I was not told I had to pay for it since it didn’t work so I left out the store your customer service rep she came running outside yelling call it told me I was stealing and that I was a thief and never come back in in the store again there was other people in the parking lot listening to her I went back in the establishment and paid the five dollars for service I did not receive and she was still rude
I ordered a package and sender has a policy that packages must be picked up at a certified UPS storeI’ve done this 3 times and once was only 3 months agoThis time the owner refused the package and sent it back
Peggy, the store manager, is the most unhelpful person at this location. Worst customer service at any UPS. If you have any issues with a package or need to adjust something for shipping and you ship here you are SOL. Save yourself the headache and go to literally anywhere else.
I took a extremely heavy package to the store in Raytown today and was rushing to get ahead of a very nice gentleman who carried the package in for me.I am handicapped with a walker so I didnt get a fast way to open the door. Since I was worried about getting the door open for my volunteer helper I forgot to put on my mask. The rude woman who worked there today was having a cow because I didnt have it on when I came in the door. 1. I just passed my yearly wellness check-up with flying colors. 2. I was shipping a package that cost over 100. Dollars to ship and I would have taken it and gone somewhere else if the nice gentleman hadnt taken it off my walker and carried it in for me. When I am paying that kind of money and a customer youd think she would have been nice and just reminded me not starting to throw a fit. I will not be using the UPS store in Raytown again. There are plenty of other shippers who dont have rude workers.

The owner, older lady, wasn’t helpful at all. Returning Amazon package and wasn’t sure how to bring up the “scan code”. She said if I ask for help I would be kicked out of store! Very rude. Clean store but very rude! If she wasn’t there the younger generation would of helped me cause they have in past. Will find diff location for my business elsewhere.

Ive been going here for 6 years with no issues at all. And I ship many items to many places. Ive always gotten good customer service and gotten in and out quickly. All my packages arrive at their destination. Thanks so much for all you do.still no issues we are in 2021 now. everyone is still prompt and friendly. never have an issue. and I ship ALOT. They have faxed, shipped, and provided other services with the best customer service. The owner is accommodating and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Very unprofessional! I came to this location. First and was using their computer to print a shipping label. I informed them the computer was running slow and would freeze up! Therefore I couldnt get the label to print. The white guy in the blue shirt replied back well other people have used it today! As if that answer was going to fix what was happening at the moment, I tried it again and his next reply was it looks like its working I can see your email meanwhile the computer screen was frozen, with an icon at the bottom saying the computer wasnt responding. I was charged $5 to use their computer! And didnt get anything done or resolved! Then I asked the black guy at the counter if he could print them for me and he tried to charge me $5 to do it. .. I left and went to the brook side area and their employee came from behind his counter with a hand held scanner, scanned the bar code on the computer, printed my labels and I was good to go with no fee! .. I will be disputing that charge with my bank! Next time less sassiness and more help will due

I paid this store to overnight ship 2 large boxes to Jacksonville, Florida. They looked up the Jacksonville store, said no problem getting it there by 8:30am, charged me $507.39 with a guarantee that it would be there by 8:30 or my money back. My people went to pick up the boxes at 8:30am and the Jacksonville store did not open until 9 am even though the Raytown shipping store said they would be open at 8:30am. The Truck had already tried to deliver at 7:45 am and when the store was not open, the truck left and did not deliver the packages until 10:30am. We not only missed the packages, but were very late to the event that we needed the packages for. So, of course, I assumed that their guarantee meant I would get a refund for the $507.39 shipping. WRONG. This Raytown store manager said she does not owe a refund because it is not her fault. I highly recommend avoiding this store. As long as nothing goes wrong, you may be okay. But if you need help, you are on your own. Their word and their guarantee mean absolutely nothing.

Ive shipped items from this store, and Ive also had photocopying done both for my small business and a recent volunteer project. In the latter I needed some really good and really quick color copy work done. One project was a program for a banquet, which was a mix of color pages and black & white pages. The staff was caring and so very helpful, and the programs came out great! Super work!

I am a long time customer of the ups store in Raytown and find them as helpful, friendly and knowledgeable as any Ive found. To call them racist begs the question - were you black when you were hired?I dont settle for anything less than what I deserve and good service is exactly that. I have seen turnover at her store in my time doing business there I have noticed that Peggy can be demanding, all bosses can be I always felt she wanted to keep my business and employed people to help do just that. In my business I am too. Do you want to do business with someone that lets everything slide? The service is professional, they have a good product (service) and the staff personable. Thats what I expect from people I give money to.
The UPS store gets 5 stars. They always take care of me. They’re quick, efficient and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg.
Lady manager was terrible, had a younger hourly kid who seemed helpful enough, but this place is going to go under and it is because of the older brunette lady manager who is just angry and disrespectful. My one star rating is for UPS in general. I sent a return package back to the seller on a defective product I have ordered through Amazon, this was 11/03 at this location, and the exstimated delivery date was 11/09.Ok, I started tracking the progress of that package, and as at 11/08, the tracking stopped in UTAH. I mean nothing after that date, I called the UPS 1-866 number, the lady that spoke with me was asking me all kind of dump questions,like do you have the address of the place the package is going to, do you have their phone number, and am like Maam, I just gave you the tracking number of my package and you can see everything am looking at on my end which shows no recorded tracking information after 11/08, so why all this questions. Anyway, she said she will create a ticket for my complains and have someone call me back. An hour later, I received a call from right here in Kansas City and the lady was like Maam am sorry, am not sure why we were told to call you, we dont have your package, of course she doesnt have my package, my package is in UTAH, and you are in KC.I called UPS again a couple days later, spoke with another unhelpful lady, guess what she told me this time. She said because this return package was an Amazon product, she can not help me with tracking the package, I will need to call Amazon and have them create a ticket for this issue, because theyre contracted with AMAZON.I need some clarification here. I shipped a package with UPS, they cant update me on my package where about, they want AMAZON to call them for that ?????Am about losing my mind, with the kind of things people will tell you just to get away with anything.I have contacted AMAZON, just like I thought, they said it doesnt make any sense that they have to call UPS to track my package, moreover, this product was not going back directly to AMAZON because it was from a third party seller on AMAZON.I hope someone will read my long review and advise me on what to do with UPS, personally, I will never ship anything with them and advise others to be careful.That tracking as at today, is still showing in transit and have not been updated since 11/08.

Never any issues with dropping off my packages for UPS. The owner pleasantly interacted with my child during our short wait. Service at the desk was quick and friendly.
I worked here a while ago, and I gotta say reading these reviews and responses have made my night. Peggy was the most horrible woman Ive ever met, or had the displeasure to work for. She would refer to anyone who didnt spend over $100 as nuisanse customers. She would get on to employees just for trying to help the customers. Just an all around spiteful and disrespectful person.

11/26/16Response to recent comment from James Stewart.I have been a customer at the store also, not an employee, for several years but when someone wants your money they will shower you with kindness but if you are an employee of the person/owner and they have to pay you their money they will show their prejudice in many ways they treat and talk to the employee.I have witnessed that personally towards an employee while being a customer. Because I was taught early as a child to love everyone and see kindness in everyone until they show you different, I too believed what you did about Peggy the UPS store owner until I personally witnessed something different about her towards an employee of my race.. The store has several Caucasian employees that agree that she does treat the African American employees a lot different such as trust. I have heard them verbally say that but are afraid to go any further about reporting it because of fear of losing their jobs.So James Stewart if you have not talked too any of the African American employees past or present employees about what they have experienced or witnessed any of that while in the store than dont speak on what you dont know on the other side of the counter...Below is my previous review what I have experienced :Peggy & Tom Sundquist are the owners of this store on Raytown Road. Called to check to see if my package has been returned to this location, as they attempted to deliver the box while I was at Work. The employee who answered the call was extremely rude. Asked me to hold and brought on the line a terrible customer service manager with hardly any customer service. Who was only able to advise that they dont give out ANY information over the phone because they dont know who I am. All I wanted to know was if the package was returned, so that I could go in after work to pick it up. Terrible way to treat citizens.
I dont think they have ever delivered a package on time or within 3 days of the time its supposed to, they dont even attempt to deliver most days and force us to spend extra money to go pick up our things, they are completely unhelpful when we call for pickup and refuse to deliver to our door. There is not a more useless mail company, they cost me so much work because the packages I pay extra to have delivered on time are almost always about a week late. And I cant even go same-day to pick it up at one of their facilities, I have to wait an extra day. horrible company.
I JUST left this store to drop off an Amazon package. The guy who was helping me was VERY kind. The lady who was there, was rude. No wonder they got a 2 - star rating. Inhuman Red Letter rules for Access Point Delivery removes humanity from the heart of UPS private owned store. Never again. My package was in the back room and they refused to give it to me until, redletter next business day. Consequences are mutual. I loose grades; you loose business.
I WILL NOT BE DOING BUSINESS HERE AGAIN.Ok, heres what happened - I had a 19 square box that weighs 9.25 pounds. They charged $41.88 for basic ground domestic shipping. NOTHING unusual about the package. I was in a hurry and had no time to go to the Post Office. So I paid it. Never again.Update - I just checked the Post Office website - the same package would have been $16 to $18 with slightly better included insurance and similar delivery speed.Update - After reading many of the other bad reviews, it is interesting to note the pattern of the owners offering back-handed apologies - insinuating that the fault lay on the customer in each situation. So, I just protested to corporate, also. Maybe they will take responsibility. Just fix the problem and apologize. Perhaps theres a reason you have a low rating?

Peggy is the most horrible woman I have ever dealt with. The attitude she showed not only us but everyone in the store was pathetic! My favorite part was her asking us to move out the way when no one else was in the store. Then helped everyone after us and asked us to wait till she was done. I would drive 20 minutes out of your way to avoid this place. If UPS is going for 0% customer service and 0% customer relations they nailed it on the head.

Wow I hadn’t seen all these negative reviews until now when I was googling for store hours.This business is amazing. I work up the street And I use this ups to ship items every now and then and for color printing.Peggy( I think that’s her name :) has never been disrespectful and always helpful.I almost feel like I’m reading reviews that are slander, I had to leave my review.I’m sure most of these bad reviews might be bs from emotional people who were already mad they had to mail back a package or whatever inconvenience they were already dealing with and just chose to take it out on the employees.And for the guy that said he was gonna picket signs and alll that radical nonsense......well working in the service industry I have met many customers like him,over reacting about 1$ tape seams like psychopath behaviour.Ps if i ever come in there and I’m mad cause someone shipped me the wrong item.....please don’t charge me for the tape when I’m mailing it back cause i might loose it too lol jk.
Manager is argumentative and lacks proper knowledge for the position. Every time I use this location its the same situation. After years of dealing with it I will not be going back. I took my print work to another business down the street and they printed correctly the FIRST TIME. Dont blame a customer for your inadequacies as you are doing so again in your reply.
Although the agents approach the customer with a professionalism that says Im interested in the customers request, the actions taken sometimes does not. I was not happy with the service I received the last time I used this facility.The package was delivered to the wrong address and lost. I always request a signature for any package sent but they did not input that information. Raytown store said no signature requested. No refund appropriated as they said the package was delivered. I returned some equipment earlier this year to AT&T and instead of the customer service rep saying the Belken battery does not have to be sent back. They kept it.
Terrible service. The manager grabbed my phone from my hand to look at my tracking numbers. Their system was down and they wouldn’t let me leave with my paid for products. Employees didn’t answer phones while working on this system issue. Multiple people walked in for a notary who had called ahead and were told there would be one here and there isn’t. Just terrible service

Unhelpful and wouldnt provide notary services because I didnt have an appointment. The notary was in the store and not busy with any other customers.
The hours are very accommodating, the services are tops, and the staff is both knowledgeable and helpful. 5 stars, hands down.
Needs new management, rude staff. If I could only trust that my package would be safely on my porch waiting for me while Im away I wouldnt step foot in this location

The owner lied in an insurance claim and then had her employees lie to us repeatably telling us that the claim was still processing when it had already been processed for 2 weeks. Had to go through UPS corporate to get the problem solved. They apologized to us for the owners dishonesty and were able to solve the problem. As you can see by the reviews here this is not the first time this sort of thing has happened with this owner.
With so many reviews stating that the manager, Peggy, is rude and disrespectful -- not only that, but racist as well, PEGGY -- TIME TO LISTEN UP AND CHANGE YOUR WAYS! Just a little advice...
Do not go to this UPS Store!!! Rude employees, terrible customer service, and horrible manager. I wanted to ship a package to a certain store and they sent it to the wrong destination and told me it was my fault. Go to USPS instead. They are more helpful and professional.

They refused to give me my package despite that they told me to drive up here to pick it up. Lies! I even came early. I cringe when I see that something I bought is being shipped with UPS. Dont put your customers through this, DONT USE UPS!

The manager of this place is horrible to people and she doesnt run her business with integrity or respect towards her customers. At all costs, avoid this location. Ive been in multiple times, but im definitely not going back anymore because one person can only stand so much abuse.- The quality of the product is not worth the money you pay. I would be better off doing my printing design myself because nothing she creates is worth the money. It doesnt seem like she has any knowledge of any kind of design software.- She charges money for things that should be a courtesy to a customer, like $1 to tape a box up when I drop something off when no other UPS Store ive been to does this.- The budget of the customer is not in interest to the owner, and she wont tell you a price until after shes done everything for you. Then, she gets snooty with you when you say you didnt know it was that much. She also underquotes customers and then when its more than quoted, she doesnt eat the money but tries to make you pay more.- Helping the customer is not in the owners interest. The copy machines are self-serve, but thats what you have employees for. Youre supposed to HELP me when I need it. While I was in, an old man was simply asking for two copies to be made, and she got snooty when he didnt know how to use the machine himself. Thats what you run a business for. You are supposed to be HELPING the customer. However, all this lady cares about is money, not about helping the customer. Money with little effort on her own behalf.Wake up lady. CUSTOMER SERVCE is what is going to keep your business going. Being a kind-hearted, compassionate, respectful person is going to keep people coming to you. Sure, anyone who owns a business has to know when to put their foot down and say no from getting walked all over, but walking all over your customers is not the way to handle that.
I wish I could do the review as a 0, horrible customer service. Hard to understand. Not at all helpful. Disappointed in Amazon-this is who they use and they are terrible from both sides.
My Experience at this store was horrible.. The woman who helped me was the rudest, most hateful person I have ever met. I was going to complain to the owners until I saw that SHE was the owner. I wish I would have read the reviews before I bothered to drive there. AVOID at all costs!!
Ridiculous. I literally needed a 2 inch piece of tape to put on my package and they wanted to charge me $1.00... what?! I walked out.
The owner Peggy is so rude an racist I will never go to that UPS again .... I stood there for 15 mins before I got help. The owner coming from the back screaming.The employees working there act like they scared of her.. I would be scare of her too..An she needs to control her attitude... Peggy is nicknamed is Crazy Peggy ...

Took forever to get in and out and I was just dropping off a package with a prepaid label. Normally they let you just drop it off, but I had to wait in line at this location.
