Why have the option to make a appointment online if you wont honor the appointment when the customer comes in. I made a appointment for a oil change online for 2:30pm. Then I called and asked if there were any earlier appointments because I worked 3rd shift and I needed to get some sleep. The man told me no and he was booked until 2:30pm. I said OK Ill just wait. I get there at 2:15pm and the guy tells me he doesnt see my appointment, then he looks a little longer and then says he has a 2:30pm appointment and he wont be able to take me. At that point Im confused because here Im in front of him and hes turning me away. This was so annoying and very rude. I would not be using monro for anything else. The worst customer service ever.

I really like going to this location i can trust they are not looking to skimp on service but also wont do unnecessary things to charge more they really seem to care and understand vehicle maintenance and the stresses when theres an unpredictable issue

This is one of the best car service centers in the area. Other than not having enough staff it was a good experience. Mike the manager is very professional and he called me before doing any work so I understood what service I needed and quoted a estimated price. Cannot recommend Monro enough! I’ve always had great experience with them, but my experience at this location is the best. Visiting family out town and we got a nail in our tire. It was a holiday and they got us in super quickly. Friendly service from both Dan and Mike! Come here if you ever need anything!

If I need any car servicing, I will definitely be back! I spoke with Mike on the phone regarding a problem I was having with my air conditioner and he was able to diagnose it over the phone. He told me that they would be able to take care of it right away. I got to Monro and they were able to take it within seconds and fix the problem in minutes with no charge!

Got my tires put on and new sensors for each tire.They werent very professional about forgetting to call me. My car got dropped off the night before my appointment (Due to a flat) and I ended up calling them the next day an hour and a half before close for them to say I lost your number on a piece of paper Even though they had my number in the system and repeated it off to me from the computer. As well as the stickers were left on the tires. Which most mechanics take them off because it looks bad. The last thing was that they didnt secure my spare tire and scissor lift in the compartment at the bottom of my trunk. Im only upset about that because I dont want anything damaged or moving around.But the tires and sensors were installed right.

I took my car to the Monroe on 5th street thinking the worst based off the awful noise it was making. Turns out a little rock got stuck. They found the problem and had my car back to normal within a few hours of when I dropped it off. Great, honest guys and very friendly. Would definitely recommend them 👌

Ok. Been there but feel pricing went up. $85 for synthetic oil change. No tire rotation or nothing. Didnt put my appt in computer when called day before.

I have never had a bad experience - the appointments are convenient and everything is explained thoroughly before the work is done. My brother brought me here last year to get some things fixed on my car. They worked with me money wise & around my schedule. Came back today for an inspection, quick & easy. Always super polite! Great customer service. As a female who knows nothing about vehicles, it’s hard to find a reliable auto shop who isn’t going to try to give you the run around just for an extra couple bucks. They don’t do that here. They have continually impressed me multiple times now. Definitely my go to shop from here on out! Thank you Monroe Auto!!

I thought I needed new brakes and possibly new rotors as well. Dropped the truck off at 8am. By noon had a call telling me the truck was finished. After taking brakes off the manager stated that they were fine and rotors were fine as well. Stated the squealing was from my truck sitting idle for weeks at a time. They did not charge for any of the work, not even a diagnostic fee. Ive taken my other truck and my wifes car here several times and never have had any issues. They have great customer service and the work gets finished quickly. I can not recommend this location enough.

Ive been a customer here for over ten years because I love the service I receive and the employees are relatable.

I had taken my truck to another place that I have used for 20 years. They have changed hands a couple of times and frankly I dont trust them anymore.They gave me a quote of $1400. I honestly thought they were trying to rip me off. So I went to Monro Because I had some previous experience with them and I was very happy. Monro Basically said the same thing that the other place did. Plus recommended another $500 worth of soon to be necessary work. They talked to me about some solutions to other problems I was having with my truck and as always very friendly. Even stayed late to finish my truck that day. This will be my new goto place. They have repeatedly impressed me.

I am writing this review just to add a picture. I once brought my 07 VW Rabbit here for an oil change. When I over heard the mechanic say I hate working on Volkswagens I knew I was not welcomed here. This was probably in 2008. That car is long gone and so am I.

Our truck battery died at the beginning of a five hour trip home to Virginia, on a cold day with bad traffic and freezing rain in the forecast. Even after a trip to Walmart for a new battery, our truck was still acting up. Jim (at Monro) was kind and understanding and agreed to see us asap. He ran diagnostics on the truck in the amount of time it took to get a snack at McDonalds, and explained how it takes the computer time to become reacquainted with the trucks idling, etc., after a power loss. Jim is super knowledgeable (Ive only been doing this since 1973), and above all else, a kind human being. Six stars.

I have found my new place to go for my car. I really needed inspection done and the end of the month is approaching. I had mine done in no time and Jim took the time to explain some things to me like an honest mechanic would/should. I can’t thank the mechanics there enough for their service.Update: 8/2020 I have returned to this location for my annual state inspection and again I was not disappointed. Last year I was told that I would need new tires soon as mine were dry rotted. I put in for my inspection online and when I went to drop the car off, the owner, Jim had looked up my previous information to my car and made sure he had the right tires in stock. He even got me ones on sale. Thank you again for the wonderful service.

Yesterday I was stuck on 422 headed east due to my engine overheating. I was able to get my vehicle towed here. Jim and his team were like always amazing!!! On March 16, 2019 we were returning home to the Wilkes-Barre area from Adamstown, and we realized our vehicle was making a grinding sound as the brakes were applied. As we continued through Reading we came upon the Monroe Auto Service Center, stopped in and asked for their assistance. When we asked what time they were closing, they said in 30 minutes, but would be glad to help us.Upon explaining our problem, the manager/mechanic said he would check the vehicle and if needed both he and the manager in training would stay beyond closing to assist us. After determining and showing us the problem, the mechanic replaced the needed parts.It is not very often you find customer service that goes above and beyond as demonstrated by the employees at this Monroe Auto Service Center.Thank you for staying past your closing time to address and fix our problem in order to get us home safely.John and Melanie

I just moved to the state & needed my vehicle inspected. I went in on a Friday afternoon but they were fully booked. I came back first thing Saturday morning (7:30am, w/o an appt.) but they were fully booked again! The manager was so nice and remembered me from yesterday so he & his mechanic squeezed me in & got it done for me! They have earned a new customer & Ill point everyone their way because of their kindness (& skill of course)!To add to this review, I really like how there are big windows in the waiting area so you can see the mechanics work! I dont think Ive ever seen that before.

My car was setting of the codes with no implication to why and the great guys at Monroe went the extra mile to figure what the problem was and in the end I paid for a failed inspection. Summer 2001: I stop in for an oil change against the advice of my Mother. I arrived at the start of the day. Im told in a matter of minutes that all rotars and brakes are shot and need to be replaced and my muffler is burned out. Two thousand dollars and a day later due to minimal staffing I drive my car home. My Mother and her regular mechanic are furious over the ripoff I endured. I know retail relies on quotas and sales to keep the doors open, but to ripoff a young person on a car that is and was worth less his sneakers is very disgusting. Remember to always listen to your Mother and stay away from here. These blood suckers were and still worse than any lawyer.

Terrible. Facility didn’t have filter even though their systems said that they did. On top of that, the oil cap was never put back on and oil therefore splattered everywhere over the engine bay and under the hood. Cap for windshield fluid was also never put back on. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want your vehicle screwed up!
