My past experience with uhaul has been phenomenal. My most recent experience with the staff has definitely lacked the ability to be more informative and knowledgeable about uhaul. I went in on Friday to get a 10ft van and a storage unit. They took all my information and I asked what the access hours are. The young man said an hour before the office opens and an hour after the office closes. I did not get a receipt and was unable to access the storage unit. I went the next morning again and was still not able to access the storage unit at 6am. Waited until the office opened 7:15 am. I explained the issue I was having with not being able to access my unit and asked what the access hours were again. I got three different answers from three young men that were behind the counter. I was told by one that the hours are an hour before opening for business and an hour after closing. Another young man said from 7am-10 pm and the other said 24hrs 7 days a week. However, one employee checked my account and said that the initial contract had not been done correctly and did not initiate a printed receipt. He printed a receipt for me and stated my card for the gate access should fine now. Unfortunately again at 8PM-9pm gate access indicated the area was closed and my card read an unknown code. I have a business to run and not having access has really cost me money. Dont think I want to continue having my business fail. I lost over $300 in sales and am not happy at all

I was actually one of the first people who had a storage unit at this location. The facility is new, secure and is filled with many moving supplies. I brought my own lock, but had to purchase a universal one per company policy. The units inside have a loud alarm system that activates when you raise the door screen. The back wall does not go all the way up, possibly to prevent that unique storage smell. Some of my boxes were moved around during the fire season in the area. Not sure what to think about that. I was actually surprised that the location was open to pay monthly dues. My lock was also replaced by a new one and added to my monthly bill. On move-out day I left satisfied that I helped a local business during a hard time.

I had a bad experienced with the Red bluff location today. I was very upsetting. I went inside U-Haul sometime last week to reserve a in-close trailer to be pick up on Friday the Jan. 1st. But today (Thursday), I received a text message stated that I have scheduled for pick up on Saturday Jan. the 2nd in the afternoon located at the Cottonwood location. Which I didnt asked to be pick up at the Cottonwood location.I droved back to the same location (where I have the reservation done which was done in the Red bluff location), to speak with the sells person which I forgot to asked for the name. I explained him what what is the reason behind it.The sale person told me that because the I had made the reservation from the Cottonwood location, therefore I will have pick it up at the same location where I did the reservation. I simply explain to him that, it was not the like that. I told him I did the reservation there at the Red bluff location.He told me he couldnt do anything to help me to resolved this matters, so he handed me over to his manager which I forgot to asked for his name also. Because I frustrated at that time to even bother to asked.A minute later the manager showed up. I explained everything to him and he just simply told me that nothing he can do or even trying to help me at all. I asked him to see if there are other ways to resolved this matter because I already told the guys that I did the reservation last week that I really needed on the Friday and he promised me that I will have it on that vary day.The manager still insisted me that he can not do anything or apologized to me of their wrong doing. I felt that this manage has no sympathy toward my situation, even when Ive asked him to call other locations to see if there are any available trailer for me. He simply told again that he cannot do and that I will have to called to find it out on my own.I definitely dont recommend for anyone to use this location. I felt very disappointment. I would never go there again.

Me and my son rented a U-Haul truck from this location they have been billing me for the last month for a truck the tie down rails broke and damaged my harley davidson i have a claim with there insurance company and the manager of this location has not returned my phone call about this if i could give no stars i would

This uhaul has some serious attitude problems. Some guy with a blonde mustache lied about my propane bottle being out of date so he didnt have to fill it, then straight told me he would sell me another.For 35$. I left found another place for propane. They said it was fine. And filled it. This guy is trying to rob people. Place stinks. I definitely do not recommend. Oh yes...he took his mask off when he came to wait on me.

I purchase some basic shipping supplies for my small company from this U-Haul. Even though it is a little more expensive it is quicker than ordering online. I have always received excellent service.Today I needed propane for my generator and dont like to purchase pre-filled bottles as they are only 3/4 full.I went to U-haul where I was helped immediately by a friendly U-haul employee. He quickly filled my three bottles and was able to charge my CC right at the filling area. There was no need to go into the store and waitGreat service and much better than any of the bottle exchange places.

Rhett, the GM at this location, went above and beyond to help me with my move.I had to unexpectedly drive 300 miles north to Red Bluff from SF since that was the nearest available equipment, and I called this location right before the end of the day when I was scheduled to pick up in the morning.I explained the difficult situation, and Rhett said he would make sure everything was good to go.When I arrived in the morning, Rhett worked with me for an hour to get everything set for my move down to SoCal.Highly recommend based on the customer service and genuine care displayed by the GM here.Thanks Rhett for doing everything necessary to help me get set for the biggest move of my life.

This is the WORST storage place I have ever used. My shed was broken in to (Not their fault there) but they NEVER bothered to inform me that my shed was broken into. Then I needed to get in to get something only to find out that the road was torn up to put in the new fence security lines...so I could not get in to my shed when needed. They can sure send out emails that my rent is due but cant inform you that access to your shed is denied for over a week. Then AGAIN I need to get into my shed only to find out that the new fence and gate had been put up...but the gate would not be operational FOR OVER A WEEK..... I had to go buy stuff that I NEEDED right then that was sitting in my shed but I could not get to it. As soon as I can get to my shed I am getting the heck out of this rotten place.

I’ve used this location numerous times for trucks and boxes and the workers have no customer service skills. Went in for boxes and walked around looking and the man behind the counter just stared at me and didn’t ask if I needed help or anything. Started moving big boxes to the front to pay and still no help. Was rude at checkout and after didn’t offer to help carry boxes to my car. Every time I’ve bought boxes there they just watch me make three loads to my car with no help. Another worker was just standing there so asked if he could help and he said nothing, acted like I just told him his cat died. He did help but could tell he wasn’t happy. They all need a class on customer service...still need about 70 boxes but will be going next door to Home Depot!

Where oh where has Rebecca gone?!!? I was at this particular location in Red Bluff, ca. when out of frustration and disgust, i left the grounds voluntarily after 15+ minutes (on Monday 12/03/18 @ approx 1110) directly due to the 4 staff members on hand. Not only said staff didnt acknowledgement me, the customer, but the 2 or 3 words directed at me was due to myself asking a simple question. There were 4 employees up front chatting like school-girls seemingly without more than one care in the world. And this was including having at least one person ahead of me to get helped (Im assuming thats what I was there for ... To be helped). Being a local guide, hopefully I can advise to not be go to this particular U-Haul if its before noon. Being in customer service for 30+ years, I wouldve at least had some brief explanation as to why myself and the other potential customers were not being intentionally ignored. That would have been far better send me walking out in disgust. Ive not had any problems like this at this uhaul before and hopefully its an isolated case. Personally I was in a particularly good mood upon arriving but left without a single word of acknowledgement. But of course thats just my opinion. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Im still standing here waiting 43 minutes. 4 uhaul people walked pass me no one even has smiled in my direction. My reservations was at 9 am its now 945 I just asked for help apparently only one person can help customers. Can you even say Customer Service..I guess not. Wow hire people that can talk and smile Start there.! Just got help from the General manager Rhett told him I waited 45 minutes. Nothing crickets. No apology I guess there previous reviews are correct .

I booked online, received a call the next day that I had to be rescheduled a few days later because they were triple booked. I was ok with that, but when I arrived for the appointment, I was the only customer in the building, with three people behind the counter, not one greeted me. After five solid minutes of standing there I asked if I could get some help and was told none of them worked at “that” Uhaul. Finally after another five minutes, an employee came to check me in. I asked how long it would take my hitch to be installed. He informed me that he had to take his lunch right then and he would do it afterwards. It was 4 o’clock in the afternoon. I cancelled the appointment and requested a refund. On my way home I contacted Totally Trucks in Redding and they were able to fit me in the next day and it took them less than a half hour to install. Uhaul could take a few customer service and professional tips from them!!!!

RIPE OFF!!! ANYTHING THEY CAN CHARGE YOU FOR THEY WILL. TOOK $100.00 DEPOSIT PUT OVER 1/2 TANK OF GAS AND THEY CHARGED ME ANOTHER $60.00 BECAUSE I WENT OVER THE MILEAGE THEY ESTIMATED. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN RUDE PEOPLE THAT WORK HERE!!!

When someone says NO DEPOSIT AND YOU CHECK come here and said oh no you need deposit wish these people would train better. And even though I was running late they didnt have what we needed ready for us. So beware of getting told different things.

Went far above good customer service. Tried to figure out why the truck wouldnt light up the trailers lights and was patient while we tried to replace a faulty fuse. It still didnt work and were happy to cancel the reservation and refund all charges.

Extremely slow service on both occasions I have used this place. The excuse on both locations? ”Computer Problems.” Are they using dialup modems? Only show in town so I should not. E surprised.

Moved out of my unit and they charged me $114 the day of move out and I wake up two days later and they hit my card for another $70 . I only put things in as a fire vixtim trying to put things I couldnt fit in my trailer that had been donated to me. Now theyve taken about $200 of my income from my ability to cover housing and food costs for me (pregnant) and my daughter. Yet they cant figure out they werent owed anything for an empty unit.

I have both rented and shopped here twice this year once for my own move and move for my mothers both times I was helped by this gentlemen Kris and the first time I rented a truck was very rude during the hole process and when I went to retire the truck 10 mins before u haul closed he would not check in the truck for me he said I had to do it myself with an app and when I asked for help he was very rude and not helpful what so ever he said that if I didnt check it in that night or in the morning he was going to charge me again for another day. With no help and being there by myself at closing time out side of u haul I decided to drive the truck home and do it in the morning. Came back the next morning and was thankful that the guy Kris was not there the other man was very polite and check it in no problem. A couple months pass and my mom had to move some family had order things for us to help with the move we went to the u haul place. And saw that Kris the guy we had problems with before was there we went to pick up the order and he said because it I was not under my name but my mothers name I could not pick it up I explained to him that my mother is disabled and couldnt come to the store. He argued with me I showed him that I had the same last name as her with my ID and he let us finally take it but in the process of picking everything that was order he did not help that all just said that this and this is what was bought u can take it out to your car. I was shock that he didnt not offer help with our big purchase of boxes then outside he had issues getting the bigger boxes in my car we saw a guy with a truck checking in a trailer and asked him for help with the bigger boxes he said yes and we waited for him to get checked in 40 mins later he was still not checked in and Kris was very rude to him as well only wanted to help the women that was in there that at the end didnt buy anything. After a hour of waiting he was checked in and we left. This person should not be in customer service in my opinion you should go above and beyond for your customers that pay good money to move especially since moving is so stressful as it is we dont need someone making our lives even more stressful. For now on if I need anything from u haul I will call ahead of time and if he is there I will not shop there until he is off or the next day when other people are working.

The “General Manager” Shane’s customer service was that of a 6 year old girl throwing a fit. He couldn’t be bothered, waited 30 mins to be helped while being the only one the store. Actually writing this while I’m here because I had so much time.

Worst customer service ever. Try hiring people who a tually know something about the equipment your renting. Lame, lame, lame. 45 minutes to rent a trailer after already reserving, paying and giving complete detailed information about myself the night before to avoid a delay at check in. Never again!!!

The clutch went out on my truck right across the street from here. I called my father in law for a tow, and I rented a trailer from here to tow my truck home. The guy working there (Im sorry I cant remember your name) waited after hours while my father in law drove up from Anderson. 77$ instead of several hundred for a tow truck. Lifesavers!
