Got what I needed. Prices were reasonable. Girl on the checkout was what you could describe as dead from the neck up. Maybe she was practicing for Halloween, but she was about as cheery and enthusiastic as the Addams family.

Was at menards looking for a heater. Went and asked the employee working right next to us where the heaters should be and he said he will call someone over to help find it. After waiting 30 minutes, I went back to the guy and showed him it on my phone and asked if he can just tell us what aisle it was in. He then told us to go up the stairs, across the cat walk, all the way down on the right. Once we got up there nothing was labeled, just a bunch of brown boxes. After searching upstairs for almost 30 minutes I had to call someone to come up there and help us meanwhile that same gentleman was sitting at the computer……super unhelpful, very disrespectful and exactly why people would rather pay more to shop somewhere else. Home Depot will forever get our business.

Big! Laid out kinda different... went to front like I do at my nearby store (nearby store didnt have on hand what I wanted, so I had to go to other store 20+ miles further away each direction) to get paperwork for my online pickup order so I could then drive to back warehouse to pick my order... they said I didnt need paperwork as my online order(and subsequent email received) was significant now (unlike last year). Lots of outdoor stuff, cant wait to see my regular stores new supply as they moved to a new location over winter with more room for MORE STUFF!!! YEA!

Took my sister to red wing MN today to shop at Menard. She has MS which makes it quite difficult for her to get around. We walked in to find no scooters were available. We asked the guy at the counter if he would call the other end to see if one was down there. He said there was ONE & it was being used. Are you kidding me!!! We left & wont be back!

At the Red Wing MN location, they really do their best to make sure you are taken care of! Great customer service. Special thank you to Christine, Tiffany, and Kyle for helping me! You guys keep being awesome!

Pretty much like any other Menards, the only difference I might add is the staff is actually helpful.

Absolutely worthless. That’s my review of Menards of Red Wing customer service I bought a TroyBuilt TBWC23XP this afternoon owned it two hours and it broke . Piece of plastic part broke and wouldn’t engage the throttle cable and the mower wouldn’t run. Called and talked to a front end manager and was told because it had gas and oil in it they wouldnt take it back .These things don’t come with oil in them we have to fill them to use them. Wouldn’t even help me with a part..Nothing....and this piece of junk didn’t even come with oil it was supposed to come with..I’ll never go back and I’ll never buy anything from menards again. Every chance I get I’m going to give the best publicity I can to let the everyone how terrible your customer service is.

This Menards needs employees. Spent 25 minutes looking for an employee. Went to the service desk where she called for an employee to meet me at the hardware desk. Took her 20 minutes to show up. Went right over me to assist a man behind me. The Man behind me had just arrived. I had already spent 45 minutes trying to find an employee. Very annoying in the middle of a project. Customer service here was just horrible and I dont recommend this Red Wing store unless you have the time to waste here.Also stopped in the lighting department. Super helpful here. That guy knows his products and where everything is located. Great job.

Went to the Menards in Red Wing and had the best customer service from ALL the staff here. Started with questions I asked Kenny at customer service desk, then to Peggy who answered all my questions and even took me to the product and loaded it on a cart. Then to Ashley who also answered my questions. Then to the guys who loaded up my large boxes from delivery area. Best experience at a Menards ever! Thank you all for your wonderful service.

I love that Menards sells so many American made products but the covid inspired factory closures are leaving store shelves bare. The Last Place on Earth that doesnt provide free masks to customers. Bring your own or pay admission. Thats kind of annoying.

I didn’t used to mind Menards but ever since Covid hit it’s my least favorite place to go. There are definitely some nice workers in there but a few told me I HAD to wear a mask even if they knew I have asthma and have trouble breathing. If they would use common sense they would get more business from me.

Never anything you are looking for. Sales are a scam.Do you know what trim window and door paint is bcuz the paint specialist I talked to told me it doesnt exist. Lets see what else. $10 more a gallon for the primer. Did I mention electric section .wow. can I get a single gang box. No bcuz they have been out for months 2x4 =$6 bring your board straightener.

It is like a Menards anywhere. Im not a fan of big box stores and only use them when I need to. I like to shop local businesses.

Was just at this store to get stain in red wing, Mn. The person who was in the Dept disappeared after talking to another customer without asking if I needed help with anything 😡 very rude and not very customer service either. I didn’t catch his name but he was 6 ft with brown grey hair, skinny, glasses and some missing teeth. So basically I left without any matte added to the stain & not mixed/shaken.

Seeing so many reviews about people being mad about having to wear a mask. Its just like no shirt, no shoes, no service. Grow up, we have this for a reason, so you dont die. Also a very mediocre store.

I have done a lot of shopping at Menards until now. I refuse to wear a facemask while I shop much less have to pay a dollar for a facemask to shop and spend more money in their store. Havent had to wear a facemask for the first 6 weeks of the pandemic, but now youre going to require a facemask. Ill take my business elsewhere. Never in history have we quarantine the healthy!

I use to be a department manager at a different location a few years ago and things have changed...even the guest service. Anytime I go into the red wing location I can never find a team member, when I do they dont know anything and they are rude. I always try to get their name and usually say it and then their attitude changes to semi happy and they attempt to actually do their job (must think Im a secret shopper) and sorry but the cashiers are almost as clueless on store layout as department team members. But the cashiers do have pretty good guest service. But 100 and 200 need to work on their guest service. I will still shop because I like Menards and their products but man, those team members....

Last week, when I noticed a little water under my water heater, I special ordered a Westinghouse hot water heater replacement. The website indicated I should have had it by January 10, but on the 10th it didnt seem to be locatable at either my Menards store (Red Wing) or at Westinghouse (where it was being shipped from). Saturday nigh (the 11th)t, the old water heater failed and I spent a couple hours wet vacing my basement Saturday night and Sunday morning. I printed my on-line receipt out and brought it to my local store for a refund and an in-stock replacement. I did not expect an easy transaction, but I got one. Not only was the plumbing department person terrific assistance but the woman managing the customer service desk was apologetic and took care of the credit, my replacement water heater, and the plumbing parts Id added to my shopping list. I even got a hand loading the new water heater into my truck.At the least, I hate plumbing work, but this job was so easy and pain-free I finished the installation by 11AM and we had hot water by noon. Thank you for the terrific service and the technical assistance.

I bought a 400 dollar drain cleaning machine today, used it for a few feet until the head completely broke off. They would not take the machine back for a refund or in store credit. When I asked if they dont stand behind their products I was answered promptly with that isnt OUR product: we just sell them.I am a handyman and construction contractor by trade; I have done 10s of thousands of dollars worth of business every year with Menards. As of today I am a die hard Home Depot customer.

Dont like to feel stalked when shopping. Making a purchase that is not lightly considered takes some time. My black skin should not be a factor in shopping patterns white men and women also assert without being stalked. Having over head security and double down on harassment all the way out the door. Fk you.

Always helpful staff brought us to several items we were looking for.

Every time I go to this specific Menards, security is called to a different section (and I’m always in a different section when they are called). This time, I actually caught a guy following me, the same fellow who made a comment to a Menards clerk when security called. I caught him staring at me from a completely different location than the location I was in at the call too. At first I thought it was coincidental, but I don’t think so anymore. Every time I talk to your employees too, they act rude as if I’m an inconvenience, despite the fact they approach me to see if I need help before I ask them. Rudeness gets 0 stars, but I have to give at least one on he app. For your convenience... I’m talking to you Red Wing Menards... you get 0 stars.

Contractor Help desk appeared to understaffed at 4:30 p.m. today. I waited​ too long, in my opinion, to be directed to the screen door replacement spline area. So I left the Help Desk and I spotted a blue shirt passing by but he told me he already helping someone. I asked to be simply pointed in the right direction and he finally complied. This was an atypical experience in my many years of shopping at Menards.

Im angry how untrained Menard associates are. We bought a lawn mower battery about a month ago. The guy that helped us said the battery with the most amps would work just fine. Well thats not true because it almost started a fire.

Hit or Miss when you need help. You usually have to hunt someone down and than they dont know were an item is that your looking for, so you end up hunting it down with them anyways. Today a member muttered under his breath when he walked by do you need help looking for somthing as he quickly keeped walking. I said yes he stopped, as I pull a picture up of the door I was looking for on thier website he was tapping his foot impatiently. Then the hunt began, he ended up asking for assistance himself and when he finally found were it was I thanked him and just got a gruntish type response. At least I got what I went for but wow.

If youre interested in gaining a full appreciation of the high quality shopping experience that Menards had to offer, stop here before you go to Walmart on a humid 90° day. No screaming crazy people, no mysterious odors indicating criminally negligent hygiene practices, etc. Five stars for having the bag of dog food I needed.
