I will start by saying the gentleman (i believe his name was dave) that handled my phone call was great. Super polite and great to work with-made me want to check the place out. When I was passed to the salesman and finance manager, it went downhill. The salesman understood that I had limited time, but I was willing to start the process. He dragged on. Completely wasted time on purpose. After I asked about the pricing...as it was over msrp...i was given excuses about volume and what not. Would not price match places 20min away. These guys relentlessly called to haggle over $500. The salesman even told me he wasnt sure what the situation even was because he was having a cigarette break. After completely wasting my time, I walked out. Drove 25min away...and Im in a new traverse for 3k cheaper AND the color I wanted. Thanks for wasting my time and treating us rudely. Hope you sell your vehicles over priced like you bragged too!

This trip was to get some repairs done that were problems when we bought the vehicle (minor and didnt affect the vehicles drive ability). Was disappointed that they never went through the vehicle to show me all the special things. I was the last person there and they wanted to leave. I was tied of being there also since it was 3 hours. Someone else has shown me what the vehicle had to offer. Also someone else who doesnt work there and just bought a car told me I get one free oil change. I was frustrated that I didnt notice that the car didnt have remote start. Was then provided a quote in text message and was told I would be called to get ordered and never got a call. I had to call and the estimate they gave me was almost $150 more. Texted the sales rep back and never heard back. So angry, in the end would not have bought if I would have known this would occur.

Purchased a Dodge ram from them, salesman (tyler)was super helpful up front even before I made the drive showed me all the photos and everything I needed to know, vehicle was as described which is a fresh of breath air because I had driven all over the state and I found one vehicle I liked the process was quick and simple and they had us in and out in less than 2 hours. The only thing I was disappointed in is that they went through the work of replacing the manifold bolts but the manifold itself had already been warped and so on cold startups every morning I have to hear the things start like a chainsaw for the first minute. And when I arrived there the vehicle had already been warmed up either intentionally or unintentionally so there was no noise heard until after the sale was done and I went to start it.

He listened to me and stayed focused on my interests in a vehicle. He was knowledgeable about the 1500 and the Duramax diesel engine I was specifically looking for - not many sales people take an interest in diesel engines. Enjoyable process.

Update: After weeks of being ghosted by management and not getting any replies I gave up on getting my front brakes done by Red Wing Chev. It took me a bit, but I finally was able to get in a position to get them done myself, and Ive added the photos of the rotors. Sure, it has been more than handful of months, but that rust and wear are far more than what those few months could produce (especially considering I took every measure possible over the winter to keep salt off them). These should have been replaced back when I purchased the vehicle along with the back ones. Ive shared these photos with several other mechanics in Southeast MN and have been told Im lucky I was even able to stop at all. Sad to think poor customer service could have lead to an accident. Changing my rating to 1 star.I recently purchased a car from Red Wing Chevrolet. Overall, it was a decent experience, folks were respectful and helpful. That being said, I cant give a full 5 star review. I found the car I eventually purchased on car gurus and set up a test drive. The morning of my test drive I sent the link over to my brother who was helping review things and the price was $13,353 then, after my test drive, I asked about price again, and lo and behold, price had jumped to $13,999. It was more than a little disappointing that within 9 hours the price had jumped up $600+. They werent willing to negotiate either. I get it, supply of used cars is pretty limited right now and they had 3 other people lined up to view this car, but youd think a little wiggle room was available considering it was just 9 hours previously. They help buff out a mark on the drivers side mirror and filled the tank and gave it a wash. Great things! I wont discredit that. I wish I could say I drove away and had no further issues, but you see, that wasnt the case. Within 24 hrs of taking my new to me car off the lot, I heard grinding while braking. I emailed my sales rep, Craig (great guy btw!), who responded promptly the next morning(I had emailed late the night prior asking for a call in the morning to discuss action items to fix the issue). I brought my car back the next morning to the service department, and the grinding was pretty darn obvious that it was brakes, rotors, and a seized caliper. The service department gave a rough estimate, and I told the guy Im not paying for this. I had just bought this car and within 24 hrs this happens, Give me a break. They looked back on the initial inspection and found that this was something on it, and it either had been missed or simply not taken care of(the reason or how we got here didnt matter to much) and that they would cover the cost. Great! I was pretty happy and was given a rental car/courtesy car to use while it was being fixed. I picked it up a few days later after the service department was closed and so I didnt get a service sheet that reported back what had happened. Craig my sales rep called a few days after and asked how things were going and i mentioned not getting the sheet and would appreciate a copy for my records. He sends me one, and I notice that only rear brakes were changed, now, i know you can do them separately, but being a 4 wheel drive car, its pretty standard to change all 4 at the same time from the mechanics and folks I talk to regularly. Also, my front still shakes at breaking so I can only assume that they too need to be replaced. I emailed asking about that and confirming because I was under the impression all the brakes and rotors would be replaced but apparently I was wrong. Its been a week since that last correspondence. It would have been a great experience if the price hop and brake issues hadnt arose. Definitely check them out, but do you research be ready for what comes. Which is advise Id give anyone car shopping regardless of dealer.
Wonderful, Phenomenal Service: My 88 Oldsmobile went out on me while picking up my children from school the vehicle was purchased in early September of 2020 so I could not believe it had already went out. Being a Mom of three I know how important it is to save for emergencies so I did not panic but wanted to shop around from avoid going to another county and being duped again out of thousands. Recently moving to Minnesota in 2019, I was so skeptical due to what had already happened and choose to ask my neighbors here in Red Wing. They all said try Chevrolet Dealership here in town. I called and they indeed had a car within my price range. I was a little embarrassed to tell them that I would have to catch a ride or call a cab but to my surprise Mike Mitchell said I can pick you up from your home around 3. That was perfect due to my children soon returning home from school. He arrived and was the most honest man I had ever spoken to in Sales because his demeanor was genuine and he saw how disappointed I was looking at my car in the driveway just ready to be picked up to be junked. Mike Mitchell worked well with me and explained everything I needed to know and reassured me that I had no worries about any car on their Lot. We test drove a Windstar Van and it was not your normal around the corner test drive, he allowed me to get a feel for the vehicle without a doubt that the vehicles that are used are treated just the same mechanically as a new car on the lot. I knew I wanted this vehicle, it was perfect. Mr. Mitchell then drew up the paperwork when we returned, remained patient as I scrambled together my insurance info and showed my daughter and I his really cool coin collection. When we met with Mark to cover the financials, he was also kind, reassuring, and patient in waiting for my bank to clear a large purchase on my card. My daughter rung the bell to alert that a vehicle had been sold and I remember getting to the light crying because I still could not believe how Genuine and Understanding, Patient and Honest these guys were. Fast forward to Mothers day weekend, I drove the van down to meet my family a few hours away and they were all ecstatic and could not believe how low the mileage was and how clean it was. It has been almost two weeks and still no surprises. I really got a great van for a really great Deal. Red Wing Chevrolet Buick Cadillac, you all are simply the best. I could never thank you enough for what you have done for my family and I. I will never look to another county again for a vehicle, I am 100% certain that when it comes the time to pick out a new car in the future you all are #1 on my list. Kevin was great through the entire process making sure I got a good car and that I got one I wanted too. Mark tesdall was our loan processor and he did a great job explaining everything as I was signing and answering all the questions I had. I also liked that he walked me through everything in a relatable way that didnt make me feel like he was talking down to me. We had everybody in the store working for us from service to management and it really felt like everybody was working as a team. You could really tell they wanted what was best for me not just trying to get a quick buck. We got an amazing car at a great price thanks to everyone here.

It Just Happened! :). I saw that they had just listed a Jeep Wrangler and I drove to “look” at it last evening not knowing they were open as it was after 6pm. Charlie (salesman) found me sitting in my car outside and so I asked him about the Jeep. He went and got information for me and I got to test drive it right away. Went to the dealership yesterday with a list of vehicles I wanted to look at. I had been researching SUVs for the last 4 months since I realized I needed a bigger vehicle. My husband and I met Cody and told him I had certain things I wanted on the new vehicle I bought (Im super picky) and he suggested I test drive the Traverse first before any of the others on the list because it had the features I was looking for and in the price range I wanted to spend. I did look at a few others, but I loved the Traverse and walked off the lot with it yesterday! My husband and I plan on purchasing another vehicle next year and we told Cody if he was still at the dealership, we would come back and buy from him. Cody was so patient--even when I presented him with a list of things I did/didnt want, he had really great suggestions and I got a vehicle I love. Ive had horrible experiences at other dealerships in the past and after yesterday, my husband and I will only do business with Red Wing Chev!
Horrible experience with sales manager. He was rude, did not wear a mask, even when test driving my car. Said I had a major engine issue and 4 bent rims. I took it to another dealer for confirmation, NO ENGINE ISSUE OR BENT RIMS. Completely dishonest.. Although the salesman Tyler was great.

Our service experience has been exceptional! We were hesitant to leave the GM dealer in Rochester that we received service at for over a decade but a nightmare experience there led us to Red Wing Chevrolet and we are so thankful! Cody was a godsend and won us over as long term customers from our very first encounter. Our repair was a complicated one but Cody promised us that he would make sure the issues were fixed before our 2016 SUV came home. Ever since our service visit, our vehicle has been riding smooth! So thankful for Cody and the service team for having the concern to fix our vehicle (especially before the warranty ran out)! My family finally feels safe in our SUV again!Our buying experience however was so-so. We financed through the dealer and our salesman had us sign a form with an interest rate we hadnt even discussed. When I asked if this was our interest rate he said no but when we went to sign with the finance department, that was the rate he prepared for our paperwork. I was also disappointed when we got home and saw the car hadnt been detailed and it made me question how well the SUV had really been looked over. I had to crawl in the third row and clean filthy windows and pop spills and thoroughly clean the rest of the SUV. I didnt think we would come back to the dealership after our purchase experience but Cody and the service team really made up for it.
Extremely poor communication from the sales staff member I attempted to work with. had a few very general questions before I made a decision on whether or not I wanted to make the trip to purchase a vehicle. I understood I called around the holidays and it might take a day or two to gather some of that info. 9 days later I never heard back and the truck had been sold. Im aware cars can be bought any day and thats no ones fault but when someone gives you their word theyll work hard and fast and get back to you thats what customer service is, in my opinion and this dealership definitely fell short.

Normally, Id rather have a root canal than go car shopping but Craig and Keven were great. They even got (most of) my corny jokes. Great follow-up too. Really happy with the Colorado pick up (for my wife) and the price was very fair.
