The young man who waited on me was helpful in the fact that he found me a good shoe for my needs. Though walked away and moved on to another customer before I was done even trying the shoes on. Let alone asking me if I wanted anything else. Which I did. I am a capable person and managed to find what else I needed. Though I think that they should train there employees to make sure the customer they are waiting on is completely done and satisfied before moving on to the next customer.

I bought 4 items 2day @ Big 5, and I can deduce that they have excellent customer service!! They have a good shoe sale going on, so I got me 2 nice pair. 🙏✌

Service and selection was decent, especially for a smaller sizes location. Found what we were looking for. Only disappointment was the fitting room was closed due to covid, so they missed out on an additional sale.

The staff refused to let my husband in without a mask, did not offer a mask. Supposedly they “ran out”but wanted to inform me that they do not have to offer them, poor sales advocate if u ask me.. The website says curbside pickup but they do not offer that service!! I understand stores are required to enforce the mask policy but this was just ridiculous. If we did not absolutely have to go there we would never shop there again. Talked with the supervisor who in my opinion didn’t really care about our concerns.. I just don’t understand why people make it so hard to just grab something.!! we will not be shopping there again! Hopefully they can keep more mask in stock before they lose more business

After 8 years and 17 pairs, they are no longer carrying Harsh brand skate shoes. Time to try another brand. Also, very little ammo, only the uncommon calibers and not much of that left.

Nice place to shop, generally have good products and good prices. That has been my go-to place for regular/sports shoes for many years.But for work boots I have to go to Sports Ltd for better quality boots for my tender feet.

They offer a wide selection of sportswear and shoes in comparison to the larger retail stores. Big 5 is my go to for running shoes. Staff is helpful and polite.

Small selection but enough of the general needed items for many outdoor activities. Very seasonal store inventory.

Not great. Was not welcomed, but was informed I had to have a mask. I had forgotten mine and they did not have one to give, so I was told I could by one for 10 dollars. When I found one the selection in the store was cheap and lacking.

Went in to buy tennis shoes. Ended up with hiking boots also. Reasonably priced. Actually outrageously priced. Found exactly what I wanted over $70 less than other places in town.

Employees their made me do all the work while seeming helpful, with out even checking I was told they never sold the item I was there to purchase even though the website indicated their was more than enough in stock.I had to look up the SKU number before they believed me. The Male employee was upset that the female employee was actually being helpful. Their are a ton of items to choose from however I would never go back due to apathy towards me the customer.

Also, signing up for their emails brings an appointment instant 10% off coupon.While I usually buy shoes there, Big 5 is also a great for picking up Little League and soccer gear for the kids. Cheaper than Dicks Sporting Goods.

Big 5 in Redding is typically amazing but since this mask protocol has come to play your employee “Jos” is all they said is completely rude and unprofessional I work in retail as well so I understand but there is no reason to be as rude as she was she yelled at me in front of other customers and continued to do so as I’m already wearing a mask of my own I won’t be going back to this location for a whileThey require masks but charge you if you don’t have one how terrible is that

Outside of the store had people that were on drugs, yelling and looking into the parked cars and garbage cans.

Amazing variety of items. From camping gear to shoes for the whole family to gym clothes and snow gear they even have hunting gear. If you sing up to there emails you can get a discount. Also many cupons that run every 2 a month or so. Depending on where you live.Friend staff.

I find that the front counter and the gun department are always helpful. There shoe salespeople must not make commission because over the years it has been hit or miss for me, more helpful than not but seems to be the only section that the customer service needs help. I purchased some awesome Christmas presenrs for my family this year at this location for great pricing.

Went out if there was to check every womans cleats for the right size for my daughter, will definitely be coming back.

Not to big on big 5 customer service they really need to look into a training program for there workers or re evaluate there management/leadership not one person greyed me or ask me if they could help me find anything and there was 3 cars in the parking lot so that tells you they had time to ask me now that being said I do like the inventory and selections big 5 offers .

So delighted to find such good customer service. The display was labeled wrong and when I got home I realized that I didnt have the sleeping bag that was on display. I took it back to find that the bag displayed was much more expensive. The manager or asst. manager went out of his way to look up the last sale price for the better bag and offer it to me at that price. I was floored that he would go through all that work. I am so happy to have this great bag at a bargain price.
