Update: I received a response from J&M (see below) letting me know that I can request a different vendor. Again, the great customer service. I would also like to acknowledge the use of the word more put in quotes, as if there really isnt more to be done...Im assuming. I am also assuming this response is from Monique, the manager. She replied the same way to someone else who was upset with their customer service. Just solidifying my observation of the level of customer service.I am very disappointed with the service I am receiving from J&M Appliance. I called to have a fridge repaired under my home warranty. I called on June 18, the first available appointment they had was on June 28 - just to look at it for the first time. They had to order a part. I emailed on July 7 to find the status and was told they were waiting on authorization. I called the warranty company and they sent over the authorization the next day. I received an email today (July 12) asking me to call to schedule the repair. Their next available date is July 22! 10 days for a freezer to be repaired that isnt freezing. I asked for a manger to find out why I am having to do the leg work to get the authorization and why another 10 days for the repair. I was told I dont want to say anything rude or unprofessional ...but basically I have to wait. I am so disappointed. It sounds like J&M is taking on more work than they can handle. They should think about hiring more technicians or telling the warranty companies that they cant provide the service in a timely manner. I am so disappointed in J&M. I would never recommend them and I am certainly glad this is paid for by the warranty or I would go somewhere else. Customer Service seems to be a lost art with them.
My washer stopped working and I have an extended warranty from Lowe’s. This first company they sent out was awful. They canceled my first appointment that Lowe’s scheduled and rescheduled an entire week later. When they did come out they said my washer was fixed and after washing my first load I found it wasn’t I called that company back the same day and they said there’s nothing they can do because my service ticket was closed out and I have to call Lowe’s. I called Lowe’s and they scheduled J&M to come out. J&M came out 2 days later. They kept great communication with me letting me know when the technician would be there. The technician found a long list of items that needs to be replaced. J&M emailed me a copy of everything that was found wrong with my washer and let me know that they will order it and gave me a link to track the status. I am beyond happy with the level of professionalism and service I have received from J&M.

I am very happy with their service. Our icemaker broke, the man came out, determined we needed a new ice maker, and ordered a new part. They scheduled the day and time for new part replacement, and I got a phone call that day saying that he was on his way. It took him 10 minutes to change it out and he showed me everything working. Very professional, high quality work. I recommend J &M to everybody thank you 😊
My experience hasn’t been positive. They replaced my refrigerator door and door and now it doesn’t close properly. They said there is nothing they can do about it. They replaced my ice maker and now it doesn’t work at all. Everything under warranty. They are coming out “again” I say again because it’s about the 4th time coming out to repair my refrigerator.
Amazing customer service! Both Nic in the service department and Bob, the service tech were amazing! I had many issues with getting the correct part from the manufacturer and they continued to help me get everything worked out for months! Bob was very efficient and took his time to do the work properly. He was also great with my enormous dog that likes to be a part of everything and can be annoying to others! We have used J&M for years. In fact our entire appliance set came from them. Until this last experience we would have gladly referred them. We had issues with our icemaker and stove and scheduled an appointment for both units. We were told what the initial service call fee was and additional trips would be half that fee. The technician arrived, did his thing, gave us the invoice and we paid half with the other half to be paid upon installation of a part. The oven had another invoice with a 0 balance which we were told was only a small charge for the light bulb. After the second visit we paid the amount due and thought that was that. Two days later I received another invoice for an additional amount. I contacted Monique (sales Manager) and was told that we had to pay a half-service charge for the oven. I tried to explain that the invoice we were shown was paid in full and this was not reasonable. Monique got very defensive and frankly rude. I paid the contested amount but was left with a bad taste. A few days later we discovered that the icemaker was not working. My wife contacted J&M and spoke with Monique. Again she immediately got defensive and rude to my wife. I find it interesting that my wife had the same results and feelings about dealing with Monique. We did get the icemaker repaired but our experience with the office Manager really soured our opinion of this company. If you do need your appliance repaired just be aware that the fee J&M quotes and you pay, may not be the final amount. Also, try to avoid Monique, she is not the type of person that should be dealing with customers.
They won’t come to my house to service the dishwasher because I’m a healthcare worker who is exposed to Covid patients. Your technicians can use PPE like I do, they are coming to do a specific task not like they are coming to have their teeth pulled by a mask less dentist. Anyway, I work in an ER near you, will appreciate some lunch for the department and a few posters calling us heroes and clapping for us at change of shift because we do what none of you would be found dead doing and then avoid us like plague thereafter. That’ll make me feel better as I try to figure out where to dispose my 6 month old garbage of a dishwasher that’s still under warranty because by the time y’all are ready to come 6ft from us the warranty will be expired
My repairman, Tom, was early for the appointment which for me is a good thing. He promptly went to work on the microwave and had it repaired quickly. The door closes better than when it was first installed, thank you!Tom gave me good advice on a question I had and that saved me a bit of money. I will definitely call on J & M Appliance should I need them again. I appreciate the excellent service!
Excellent service. Helpful, nice, and knowledgeable. Patty was helpful in scheduling and so responsive as to where the parts ordering were and when I could expect my repair. Henry was extremely knowledgeable and explained things to us in plain English. He took his time and made sure we understood things, etc. Wholeheartedly recommend J&M Appliance!
I had always thought that appliance repair and buying a used car were the two worst chores a person could do. I can now put appliance repair on the good list! Henry, the J&M service technician is a pro. He explained everything and clearly understood his work inside and out. The J&M electronic scheduling and tracking system gave me a good understanding as to when Henry would arrive. And, if I needed to phone, the service operators were always there. Two-thumbs up!
I had a very tricky warranty issue (parts unavailable for 8 months). During this time J&M Appliance never wandered from keeping me informed and consistently checking on the part availability with the factory. Their unwavering persistence eventually resolved the problem. They made me feel like I was in the forefront and not stuck at the bottom of the pile and forgotten about. I would strongly recommend them.
It was a great experience, even though my refrigerator is beyond repair.From the gal I spoke to over the phone on my initial contact to the service technician in the field. It’s nice to be able to see the techs route and an automated message when he/she is on their way, not stalking, it gives a chance to run an errand before arrival, or get the dogs out.You have a new customer for life.Thanks

The only issue I have is that I originally requested service that the dryers timer would not advance. I did this a week ahead of time and provided both the make and model number, and problem. One would suspect that whoever schedules the techs, or the tech himself, would have brought the probable cause of the problem with him INITIALLY. There was ample time to get the part also since I made the appointment a week ahead. This would have saved a second trip, and would not have inconvenienced me to be home a second time and would have had a properly operating machine rather than having to wait another week as I am only available to be home on Sundays and Mondays.Both techs that came were polite and courteous, but I am not sure if the first tech had the ability to bring the very likely problem part with him.As far as what I did like about this company was the continuous communication about my appointment confirmation and tech status and arrival. I wish more companies did this. Especially the techs status on when they will arrive. Nothing worse than sitting home wondering when the tech is going to show up. That did not happen with both appointments. That was awesome!

Excellent service and repair on our one-owner 41 year old Maytag washing machine primarily by Henry. The service required specific knowledge about the settings and performance of such an old but excellent washer.
I cannot say enough good things about J & M. Their owner, office staff and technicians helped me resolve a major problem with my refrigerator. They were understanding, respectful, professional and efficient.It is now a year plus later and I had them repair the door on my dishwasher. The service was great. The only reason I am giving them a 3 star is because the parts that were requested were in Back Order from the manufacturer LG. However, after realizing that the parts would not be delivered in time, they went with a part for a different model that made the refrigerator work. Needless to say, I dont blame them but the manufacturer for the delay in my repair.
Mike came out and took care of a noise coming from my refrigerator. Setting up an appointment was easy. The tech arrived in the time frame given. Very helpful, kind and professional during the whole process. I will be keeping their number in the event I ever need appliance repairs. Although I have not had services done by them, but they had the parts I needed to fix my dryer both times. Parts are fair, reasonable and inexpensive prices. Tristian gave some advice on what could be the issue with my dryer, so I took it. Went home and sure enough he was right. Thanks again for being life savers!! Will definitely be back for parts I may need in the future.
I had a new Speedqueen washer and a pillow case became stuck, somehow, between the tub and the outer wall. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, and fixed it correctly on the next visit. I would highly recommend J & M. Dont waste you time and money with other services!!!
I had J&M Appliance repair my dryer under the manufacturer’s warranty. J&M contacted me within hours of me requesting the service from the store that sold me my dryer to schedule the appointment. I received helpful phone calls to remind me of the appointment and when the tech was on their way. The tech came out twice, first to diagnose the problem, then he ordered needed parts, and the second for the actual repair. The tech was on time to both appointments and efficient. The dryer works great now. My only gripe is that I should’ve called on this sooner but I had expected it to be a pain, but it turned out that the repair was no hassle at all.
Brion arrived promptly and cheerfully provided the inspection we requested plus the minor maintenance, all done most efficiently. Excellent work from the company that has never disappointed us.
Be aware of bogus charges. Clarify everything two times. I was told there would be no service call as this was a warranty issue. AC unit was checked but he was not able to repair unit. Service charge of $169.00 was assessed. My husband tried to negotiate the rate with the bookkeeper to no avail. This was the company that the manufacturer referred us to otherwise we would have used our usual service provider. This happened at our place of business but never again. I notice that the usual response from A&J is to say that they have no record of service to the person placing the review. This is not a mistake in review posting.

I had two appliance break down within a couple days of each other. I got the run around from the first company I contacted and decided to try another manufacturer authorized service company. Thats how I found J&M. Thank goodness I kept looking. When I called they were courteous and I was able to make an appt for the next day instead of two weeks out. The repair person was so friendly and helpful when I explained the issues. I needed a part he had to order and the other issue he was able to fix on the spot. Their appts are timely, they call before coming (making it easy for me to stay at work until he was on his way), and their prices are reasonable. The service was great: .fast and friendly. I will definitely use their company again if I need help with my appliances.
Great help, was able to schedule a fast appointment, they ordered the parts and were able to come back out the same week to fix my fridge. The technician Steve was very friendly and professional and fixed my fridge in no time.
J & M Appliance came out on a service call under warranty on my GE gas range. Bob H was the technician who came out and he was fantastic! He did a thorough check on the issue I asked for help on and even shared some extra helpful tips for using the range and oven in the future. I also want to share that the follow up BEFORE the service call is great. I received some emails and phone calls to confirm the appt (very helpful to me as I have a very full daily schedule). Under warranty, or not, I highly recommend J & M Appliance if they are in your service area. (I am in Corona CA). And if you get Bob H, even better!

These guys are obviously going on the good word of mouth model of building a business. They just finished a major repair on a dryer and the bill was almost too little - parts at cost and less time charged then spent on the repair. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Promptly got to our place (following day) for a warranty covered repair on our dishwasher. Had to order a part but got in within the week. The Tech was informative and cared about his work. Id recommend their work.

I have had them work on several of my home appliance. My fridge and washer. The office staff was very helpful in setting me up with an appointment and the technicians were very attentive when I would voice my concerns about my appliances. Wonderful experience all the way around.
This morning, two gentlemen from J&M fixed my dishwasher. They were very quick (15minutes), honest about the issue (soap and scum build-up which caused a leak when moisture wasnt properly venting), and very courteous and professional. My only complaint is the $126 bill for the service call and labour. I understand the techs have bills of their own to pay, but I feel the charge was exorbitant given there were no broken parts and the service call was of a limited time. Otherwise, I would call them again.
They inspire confidence with easy on-line access to book an appointment, good follow-up, and my technician Bob was great and fixed my drier.

Heather is fantastic and very patient. She saved me a little money by asking a tech about a part I was not sure I needed. She e-mailed me a pic of the right screw; who knew there are several #8 screws at Lowes. Their parts prices are lower than competitors. I have always had positive experience with J & M, in reading other reviews I would be warned off. Since my experience has been positive, give them a chance.

Henry, the service man, was excellent. This was his second service call on my 5 month old Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Two seperate issues with the freezer. In an effort not to have more problems, he went the extra effort to inspect the issues Kitchen Aid had alerted there repair people’s to expect. He was great, but I hope we won’t have to see one another for a long time. But we’ll see. My dishwasher and microwave oven are also Kitchen Aid!

They arrived on time and were able to fix my washer as I requested. I just wasnt expecting such a high bill compared to past reviews. A wire was damaged so they spent an hour figuring it out and replacing it. Overall - they did fine and fixed the issue but cost me $200 for them to replace a wire.
A family of fives dryer giving out is a major issue. I was done with Sears for a variety of reasons and decided to go with a Ma and Pa local place the next time I was in need of a repair. J&M was able to schedule me the next day; the repair person was on time and professional; he assessed the problem and had the part on his truck; he repaired the item, gave me a 90 day guarantee, and was off. Tom spent a total of 20 minutes at our home! As we get older we value our time and I do not want to spend numerous appointments while a national chain schedules and reschedules appointments wasting my time. J&M was just amazing!
After having a couple other companies out to tell me their was nothing wrong with my washing machine J & M Appliance came out and did a complete inspection and found several things wrong with the washer. Incompetence doesnt even begin to describe this company. My fridge went out so they came out on a Friday to diagnose. Technician advised us that fridge may be under warranty but would need to check. We advised the technician that we didnt care if it was under warranty or not, to still order the part because we would pay either way. By Wednesday the following week, after not hearing anything from them, we called them. They advised us that the technician NEVER ordered the part. Right then and there I should of called another company. So, they ordered the part that day and of course now couldnt come out until that Friday. So now its been over a week without a fridge. Technician came out and replaced part that Friday and we thought all was good. They still charged us $600 in labor (didnt even get a discount for them inconveniencing us for the delay but they did go through warranty for the part). Fast forward to the following Wednesday when I open the fridge and everything is warm and has gone bad. Called these people again and they cant come until Friday. (So two more days without a fridge and a whole fridge of food wasted). Friday comes along and the technician comes but doesnt have the right tools so has to come back Monday. Does the technician go to get the right tool and come back? NOPE, HE JUST LEAVES saying he cant come back out until Monday. I call this business and of course the manager cant come to the phone. I demand a technician to come to my house that evening and a phone call back from the manager. Do I get either? NOPE. I will be demanding a full refund for their incompetence for not fixing the fridge correctly in the first place as well as a refund for the food for the ENTIRE FRIDGE that they allowed to get spoiled since they didnt fix the fridge correctly in the first place. I will update this review with how this company goes about righting THEIR WRONG, and if they honestly are customer friendly. If not, I will update that too.UPDATE: The technician was able to finally come out that following Monday to do his job with the proper parts and fix my fridge. Not without a warning to not put anything inside for an ADDITIONAL THREE DAYS OF COURSE. Such an easy feat with a toddler living in the house who needs milk daily. So what does this company care if I am able to provide it to her or not? Its not their problem, right? Oh, never got my call from the manager until that Monday as well. When I spoke to her and demanded a refund of the $600 labor work and a reimbursement for the food in the fridge that I had to buy, I was denied. (To be clear, I am demanding the reimbursement of the food that went bad the second time after their technician failed to fix my fridge when he came out. I am not asking for reimbursement from them for the food from the first time the fridge went out). Either way, was told my problem was with LG, and not with them. Trust me, my problem is with this company. So to recap my problems with THIS company: 1. FIRST TECHNICIAN CAME OUT AND EVEN AFTER TELLING HIM TO ORDER PART, NEVER DID SO HAD TO WAIT ADDITIONAL TIME FOR PART TO COME IN. 2. TECHNICIAN REPLACED PART AND IMPROPERLY SOLDERED CONNECTIONS WHICH CAUSED A LEAK AND COMPLETE SYSTEM FAILURE FOUR DAYS LATER. 3. TECHNICIAN COMES THREE DAYS AFTER THAT AND SHOWS UP WITH NO TOOLS AND MAKES US WAIT THREE MORE DAYS 4. WONT BE REFUNDED FOR THEIR IMPROPER LABOR NOR FOOD THAT WENT BAD. Sounds like my problem is with this company. Imagine getting a hair in your food at a restaurant and they wont replace the food. That is this company not correcting their wrong. So if you want bad service and for a company to not give a Damn about it, then by all means, this company is for you. As for me, since they wont reimburse my requests, I have spoken to an attorney. Even if I lose, they WILL pay for the costs in attorney fees. One way or another, they will pay.

The repair guy did nothing. I was told that I would be charged $139 and it would be applied to the repair. If I chose not to service my refrigerator, I would pay regardless. That sounded fair until the serviceman got here and told me they would be unable to get parts for the refrigerator because it was too old. I was of course still charged the $139 even though he couldnt help me. I did not refuse service - I wanted to fix what was wrong, but the parts were not available. My husband even told him that he knows where parts can be purchased because he found a place online, and the serviceman said, But I cant install those.What bothers me is that they have my refridgerator model and age information because they serviced my refridgerator before, plus I gave them the information again. So, they already knew that parts would not be available - no matter what the diagnosis. I told the person on the phone the part that had failed so the technician did not need to come to my house to diagnose the problem, I already knew that. I thought he was coming over to fix the unit.So, I feel like he came over, looked at the fridge, said, Oh, yeah, this is old, they dont make parts for it anymore, Ill take my $139 now, thank you.The last time he serviced my refridgerator, he - the same guy - changed some hoses on the back, and two months later they were leaking again. I contacted the company and was promised a call back and the call never came. I wont use J & M Appliance again

The customer service I received was terrible.To make the matters worse, there is a delay in scheduling. Then once a representative is out to service your appliance, they do not have the part and will have to reschedule. Keep in mind by now it has been 2 weeks! Also, do not expect a response via email. I do not look forward to phone calls because they are not comprehending, rather I get more of a demeaning attitude. Monnique was very rude. Now I can not make an appointment even after I told her payment is set for Friday. Her response was call me Monday and I will see. We only have one past due invoice due to either the invoice not received until today or not upload in system. I expected this to be resolved in a more professional manner.
Brand new refrigerator made strange noises. Called repair, they stated refrigerators make funny noises, nothing wrong... Recorded sounds, purchased EXACT SAME make and model... Quiet, hums nicely, all abnormal noises absent. Will not be calling J&M again.

Absolutely the worst company to work with. It has been 5 month and refrigerator still not correctly repaired. Working with LG to find out what this company has done to our appliance. Tried to deal with Monique who spends her time on the phone explaining what we did wrong and why she had to hang up on us, not explaining why the appliance has not been repaired. I will work with LG to have this company removed as a repair company for LG, so that no one else has to deal with this headache. J&M even had the nerve to tell us that LG did not make the correct replacement part to repair our appliance. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

You sent technician Miguel to my house to fix a dryer issue he immediately blamed it on electrical when my husbands a master electrician and knew that was not the case. So when my husband said Ill just call lowes and have them send me a new one Miguel got very angry and said its not your dryer man. My husband told him to leave and Miguel said if you dont like it call that f****** company right there and tell them. So I did and spoke with Monique who told me she was going to have to take her technicians word for it. We never got a sorry or anything she just said it was our fault. But we have cameras and showed lowes and got a new dryer with a FULL refund and they will not be using you again. Hope you start hiring more professional people it seems a lot are unhappy with how unprofessional your company is.

It took them 2 weeks to come check the washing machine, at which time the tech said they need to order parts. We waited 3 weeks for the parts come in, and another week for an appointment for them to come repair the washer. The day of the appointment they call and say the parts are damaged, when I asked why the parts were not checked before the appointment was made the response was “sorry we are not perfect”. This company is a joke. Stay away from them.
They came and diagnosed the problem at the correct time. The part was ordered and replaced within a week. Thank you!
I missed a appt then they left me a voicemail stating they will never come out to our home again left my washer in pieces took them almost 3 weeks to get parts smh
Horrible service! We are going on a month without a washer, and when the service technician finally came today with the part, it was broken!

Worst customer service! Maybe its because they were dealing with a warranty issue with our dryer so we were not considered paying customers. We bought our new dryer from Harlows in Yucaipa and within 2 weeks we had no heat and J & M was who was subcontracted out to handle warranty fix. After Harlows told us numerous times they should be calling us to set up appointment we finally took matters in our own hand and called repeatedly. After 5 days we finally got a call back and appointment. The tech came out and discovered it was a quick fix as our ignitor fuse had gone out. He did not have one on his truck but promised he would call when he got back to shop and give us a time frame on when he would return. He never called. Since it was a Friday we waited till Monday to see if we heard anything. Still nothing. Finally we called and after being put on hold for 20 mins found out it would be another 5 days by the time part came in and tech could come back to install. This is a 10 min fix and although I understand parts may need to be ordered, if in the beginning they would have called us in a timely manner the part could have been ordered and taken care of the first week. Now we are going on 2 weeks with no dryer and yet this was something we purchased brand new! I work in customer service and I realize business can get busy but all I expect is to at least get a return call especially when its promised. I will go elsewhere as in this economy I know there are other businesses out there that will appreciate my business .
These folks always take care of me when I need to order parts for my appliances.
On January 10, 2014, this place was assigned to come and check my dryer because it was not heating up. The tech that this company sent, did not even stayed 10 minutes, telling me that the vent need it be clean. He did not even check anything on the dryer and this company had the nerve to charge $99 for nothing. I will not use this company at all. I will place a complaint with BBB.
