Thanks to Karen I’ve got this batch of cranberry wine in secondary! I’ve been coming to this store for years and just recently got all my brew equipment back from a friend. Just as knowledgeable (maybe more) than they were on Dickerson. Love the new space and the community that gathers there. Keep up the good work! I’ll be back soon.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Got my mead coming out right and knew exactly what I did wrong and help fix it
All you need for brewing your own beer, with great staff, beer on tap, and in the cold case!
Super friendly and knowledgeable folks here. Great selection of equipment. Highly recommend!!!
Great place. Always helpful! You name it, they have got it!
Just love this place. Very knowledgeable and will help you with all your brewery needs from crafting to kegs and taps.
Wonderful brew supplies. Cool location staff is always giving good advise. I have been coming here for over 20 years.
Best brew wine supplies. Very knowledgable and they have everything you need. Wine making kits beer brewing kits scales fermenters wort chillers books on brewing and wine making. Everything. Good prices.
Came in for a CO2 tank. Staff super friendly and helpful, prices reasonable. My new go to for CO2 supplies
Had everything I needed when setting up nitro tap for kegorator.
Karen and her dad (blanking on his name) are super nice people. Good knowledge, good selection, and good pricing!
This is such a cool little shop. The owners are so kind and helpful. We dont drink alcohol, but they have a great selection of supplies for homemade sodas. The owner is a true expert and gives amazing advice on brewing or soda making.
Great place, lots of brewing necessities. Friendly and knowledgeable.
Excellent and friendly service. I have come in multiple times to purchase CO2 and every time I walked through the door I was helped right away. Highly recommended!
Reno Homebrewer is a store I could not live with out. Rob the owner has a wealth of knowledge that he is happy to share as do his employees. Everyone who works there has always been very friendly and helpful. They helped me sort out all the supplies I needed to get started. As well as taught me everything I needed to know to make my own wines and beers. With all of the variety materials and supplies they sell I cant imagine I will ever run out of delicious ideas. The prices on supplies and products are good. In many cases it was cheaper to buy stuff from Rob than the internet. The best part Reno Homebrewer is it is a locally owned business. As a small business owner I know the value that locally owned business bring to Renos economy. I have confidence you will be happy, being a customer. The gift of knowledge they have shared with me has made me a faithful customer for life.
Took the time to take care of the customer. Prices for items are completely reasonable. Went in for a 2.5 keg and carbonation system. Walked out with a complete system setup and instructions on how to use it. Compared to Amazon and this was a better deal. Will be back to get more supplies and advice.
Well organized. Lots of choices. Very helpful staff. I will stop here again.
Great selection of bottles and the knowledgeable friendly staff helped us select the perfect one.
Polite staff, very knowledgeable, and this spot can have you up and brewing in no time
Ive been buying / dealing with Reno Homebrewer now... how many years, I dont recall. I have shopped there when I was a Reno resident, and still order from them now that I live 13.5 hours, driving time away in California.Their attitude has always been friendly, cheerful, and they love to laugh. I have appreciated their helpful knowledge on any issue I have questions about in home wine making. The store itself is a pleasure to walk through. It seems there is a never-ending supply of goodies to look at and ask about. Ive attended barbecues there, and even thrown darts in a back room years ago. In short, every time Ive been there its been fun, entertaining, and educational. I more than strongly recommend Reno Homebrewer as your best place to do business !!!
535 E. 4th St. RENO. Moved to this location in July 2017.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Super willing to share their brewing experiences and offer advice. Knew the products really well, too.
This is by far the best place for all your home brewing needs. Rob and Karen are genuinely nice and happy to help. If you have been thinking about home brewing beer (or wine), this is the place to go to get started. Go support a locally owned store. Maybe Karen will share her special Porter recipe.
Stopped by the shop for my first time today to amass some brewing supplies- Rob and his other customers were friendly and helpful and legitimately interested in what I was planning and ways to help it happen. Class people, in an unpretentious place- a very good experience!
Great place to buy ingredients, supplies, and equipment. Plus you can grab a decent draft beer to drink while you browse/shop, learn by asking dumb questions (you WILL get helpful answers and lotsa pro-tips), and brainstorm your next batch.
Robs award winning mead recipe impressed some fickle Vikings on my last trip home to the Dakotas.
Great place to find your brewing supplies or kegerator equipment. I came in was able to get everything I needed to convert my kegerator into a carbonated water dispenser.
Always have what I need. Great people too!!
Dont go online. Go here instead. You know exactly what you are getting when you buy in store. Plus you get advice from people who have been brewing for decades. If youve never brewed this is where you want to start. Just tell them youre new and would like a starter kit. Theyll hook you up with everything you need.
Great home brewing store. Have just about everything you need and also all the supplies needed for making cheese. They serve beer while you shop as well
They have what you need and are helpful
Nice lady at the desk
I have spent hundreds of dollars here in the last few months. The first thing they tell me is it is nearly impossible to brew a good beer, well I have brewed a good beer and all you have to do is follow directions. Now in this last batch, they forgot to give me yeast. In this same batch they gave me moldy bottles. Customer service is awful, after this experience in the last few days I will be ordering online for a cheaper price and better ingredients and directions.
Had a very pleasant experience purchasing a starter brew kit. Both Rob and Karen (I believe) didnt try to upsell me more than I needed and were available to answer my questions both over the phone and in person. Have already returned to purchase a few extra things such as bottles.
Great people, great beer, and they can help you brew anything your little heart desires.
Great service, got me set up with what I needed and answered all my questions.
I don’t know why there was a one star for a review 9 months ago from me, I wish I knew how to change it to 5 stars or delete it but until I do I hope this will do. I’ve been coming here for about 30 years now, the first time was for a dairy thermometer for making cheese, later for wine making supplies and beer making supplies for both of my adult kids . Best place around and I will try to get that one star off.
May try them again some day, but after moving to the Reno area and looking for a new home brew store. found them less than helpful when i was there 30 min in the store and no one had said boo to me. one of the customers finally helped us find what we were looking for. have taken my business to another store further from home but much more helpful.
Really great place, I brought in my keg coupler and they had all the washers and parts I needed to fix it up. They have excellent prices and they sell cheese making supplies!
Dont know whats happened to the place. Used to go with my father years ago, not a single complaint then. Id go so far as to say it was a pleasant experience way back when. After he passed away, I moved out of the area. Came back a few years later with my girl friend and the atmosphere had completely changed. Little to no conversation, minimal help (I had gotten into wine crafting), the place had just become, cold... I asked rob if he still served draft brews and he said he no longer did, even though there was a man sipping at a glass at his bar... I have no idea as to how/why the place has changed so much. While I was still living in northern NV, Id tell friends and coworkers about how awsome this place was. Wish I still could...
Great place to go if you wanna get started brewing. Very helpful and insightful.
Rob and Karen are both so helpful and kind. Amazingly patient too, and are always ready to help or give guidance on your next brewing project, if you ask.
Best Homebrew Shop in Reno. Always friendly and helpful. Definitely NOT a good ol boys club. They help anyone from beginner to expert and offer everything you need to make some amazing beer.
Very knowledgeable and friendly service. They cater to the novice and the expert.
The best people work/own this place. Knowledgeable and helpful if youve never tried to make your own beer you should its a blast and the people here make it easy to do it.
Great people, really knowledgeable about all things brewing. And its great to support your local Brew store
Friendly and knowledgeable staff with helpful nventory
Wow! Great people. Vast knowledge
Fantastic selection and very helpful and friendly staff, would come back again.
Omg! The staffs were great at help and answering questions. Excellent services!
Its dangerous to go it alone...take this. Whatever you need, Reno Homebrewer delivers, and with more smiles since the move. Once construction is done on Fourth, this may be my second home
Very well stocked home brew shop. They have everything for brewing, vinting, distilling, packaging and serving.
Rob is great ...he has it all !
For all of your fermentation and alchemy needs! And pretty great ownership, too!
Large selection of items for home brewing. Staff was friendly and very knowledgable.
Some great supplies and sometimes helpful staff, but has a creepy good ol boys club vibe. Id advise to steer clear unless youre in a real pinch or are a creepy good ol boy yourself.
Nice little brewers supply etc. Rob the owner is very personable and helpful
The new store is amazing! Always friendly staff.
I got my first starter kit here and have had such a great experience! Rob accidentally forgot a yeast pack with the first batch and answered the phone and hooked me up with a packet, despite being closed that day. I have been able to email and ask him questions, which has helped if there is too much info on the Internet. I absolutely love that his kits are down to earth. He suggests the cheap and easy use of bleach and dry yeast, instead of trying to upsell to things I probably dont need. I dont initially get a friendly welcome, but when you ask for help you have their full attention. I highly suggest anyone interested in brewing give it a try, and RHB is a great place to start.
Bit too rustic for my taste, dirty floors with grains all over.
They have great materials and friendly staff.
They seem to always have what I need and I need some off the wall stuff sometimes. The owners are always super helpful and friendly and I like having a local place like this to give my business to.
Cool place. Check it out for yourself!
Great prices and knowledgeable, helpful staff
Have loved them for years, new digs are even better!!
