Service was good until I need the title and registration with plate transfer done for an out of state resident purchase. I am now the person having to jump through hoops to get this done even though I was told it would be easily done and I was good buying as an out of state resident. I was charged for the taxes and now have to pay them separate and they will refund me the amount. And I am having issues now getting the registration and plates transferred as I am having to do it on my own.

Greeted with a smile from the finance manager when we arrived. When we gave the type of car we were interested in he didnt try to sell us something different. Was upfront with the possibility of not being able to finance the year of the car we were looking at. After test drove, Ryan met us in the parking lot and was very welcoming. He was not pushy for us to buy another type of vehicle when the first option wasnt able to be completed for reasons out of everyones control. Ryan showed we were more than a number when he found another car that may be similar to the style we wanted. The team was not pushy at all to go over the budget we provided and found a way to honor that. Respectful, thoughtful, and kind were how all the staff treated us, even those not helping us. We were in and out in a couple of hours. One of the best car buying experiences Ive had. Thank you to the whole team who made us feel respected and honored. Will be back!

I’ll be the first to admit I lack any wherewithal when it comes to all things automobiles. I don’t know a head gasket from a spark plug, plus I’m trusting to a fault, generally assuming the best in others until proven otherwise. So I was already at a major disadvantage for negotiating with a used car salesperson.Knowing this about myself I found it wise to harness the magical powers of the internet to locate trustworthy dealerships in the area: Yelp and Google reviews.I stumbled onto the Budget Motors lot on accident. We were actually looking for a different dealership, but stumbled onto the Budget lot by chance. The date was May 6, 2017, and it was storming with the fury of a small hurricane. Sandy ran out, in the pouring rain (bless her heart) to help us, even generously offering up an umbrella seeing as my boyfriend and I were sharing one and that I looked like a wet dog. Sandy was knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, and led us straight to the car and price range I was looking for. As soon as I saw the Subaru Impreza, under 60,000 miles for a reasonable price, I was in love.We took the car for a spin, which, to be honest, scared the bejesus out of me. Sandy suggested we take it on the highway (I was hesitant) to make sure I really liked how it performed. It was POURING outside and I was white-knuckling the steering wheel as we cruised down I-580 at 60 mph, praying I didn’t wreck this fine gem of a car. I have to say, I was VERY impressed with how the car performed in El Nino-like conditions. Sandy made a great first mate.After the test drive we went inside to talk numbers. I have to say I felt very well accommodated while we ran information. Sandy offered us coffee and never made me feel “less-than” for not having the most stellar buyer profile (I’ve never financed before, I just moved to Reno, just started a new job, and my credit score, though strong, is based solely on credit cards, so it’s considered “thin”). They worked with my situation, helped me find numbers I could work with, and we negotiated a deal. I was now a Subaru owner! Woo Hoo!!!Fast forward to Thursday, May 11, 5 days after purchase, when I noticed the right side of my splash guard was very loose, a minor detail I chalked up to an oversight by the service department. I was nervous to make the call because I did not invest in any warranty, so there was a good chance they would throw their hands up in the air and say “Not our problem anymore!”Simon promptly returned my call. He was very professional and understanding, and while he didn’t promise me the moon and stars (I didn’t buy the warranty, remember) he did say they would take a look and see what they could do.They ended up going above and beyond, giving me a new splash guard (all I asked is that they tightened the original one). I left the lot feeling confident about my purchase and putting my trust in the team over at Budget Motors. Im grateful I stumbled onto that lot that fateful, rainy Saturday because these guys will make sure you are happy and well taken care of!

I recently purchased a new car and I wasn’t really sure what to expect with everything that’s going on with COVID-19. The experience went far better than I imagined. The entire staff was great and they even make my kids feel important. They took care of the smog and I was able to register my car online. I will be going back to Budget Motors in a couple of years when my oldest can drive!

Danny was amazing, I went in there with not so high of hopes, and doubt running through my head. Scott and Lance were very kind and the process only took about an hour.
