All the 5 star ratings here sound too good to be true, they are true. Had a stereo and some off-road lights installed. Im an ex-mechanic and knew what had to be done but I wanted a pro install. Are you kidding me! This guy is amazingly good, super fast and ridiculously inexpensive. Its hard to find a business as good as this anymore.

This place of business is not as good as the reviews. Talk nice to bring you in. However, if there is a problem with service, they get disrespectful quickly starting with the owners daughter to the owner himself. They lied and then tried to cover it up with a attitude and bad words. The owner walk up to my vehicle after yelling at me in foul language as I was telling them how terrible they where with customer relations after the fact of installation. I told him to get away from my vehicle as he was acting like he (the owner) was going to come in my passenger door as I was trying to retrieve my extra set of keys from my glove box due to the fact I could not locate my set as I was so upset they fell in-between my seats. The whole family came out as he was yelling and told his daughter to call the police as I had a gun. After the police called me, as I left the crazy turnaround of personalities ( Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hide ), the police called and said I was not welcomed. I giving you warning, this family owned business, should not be in business helping the hard working individuals that do not lie to people.

Efrin is one of the most meticulous installers of car audio I have ever met. Reasonable prices, and meticulous installs. He recently installed a remote start in my Lexus LS460 which ironically doesnt come factory equipped with one. Couldnt be happier with the service!

Efren went above and beyond to get me an appointment to install a new head unit, two pairs of speakers, and a new backup camera for my truck, and the work was excellently done! Ive been coming here for years for any and all car audio or alarms and remote starts. Ive recommended dozens of friends that have had the same great results. Asked for a wiring harness for a 2006 Saturn Vue. He didn’t have it on stock, so he was nice enough to send me to Carson City to pick one up, which I did. Drove back to Reno and found out it was the wrong part. I tried calling here 4 times and they never answered my calls. However, Unique Sounds corrected the error, ordered the right part and gave me a discount, the drive was well worth it.

Service was above and beyond what I expected. Very happy with them.

Today was my very first time here and I can certainly say that I am 100% satisfied by the quality of their work and customer service. I arrived to drop off my truck for a remote start and the lady at the front desk was super nice took my number and explained that efren would call me when my truck was ready, I asked her about the payment and she said that it would be after so that we could make sure that we were happy and the work was done properly. At that point I knew that I was in good hands. I later received Efrens call that he had finished with the work and to come by to pick up my truck. He then showed me how to work my remote start and all the cool features that it has. I came here based on the reviews and i do not regret it whatsoever. Efren treats you like family and the people he has working there are extremely nice and courteous. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone.

Got a head unit installed and a dash cam hardwired here. They were professional and did a great clean job on the installation. They finished within the time they said it would take. I would just recommend calling ahead for an appointment.

Absolutely fantastic! Efren did a great job installing not 1 but 2 systems in my 2006 Chevy Silverado and my 2015 Tahoe for me and I couldnt be happier. Quality workmanship, fair pricing but what did it for sq as his honesty. One of my J.L amps that I brought in was not working correctly and you could have very easily have sold me a brand new amp but instead he figured out a way to make it work. That Above All Else this is why I wont go anywhere else. Efren thank you for looking at the bigger picture and not just trying to make a quick buck. Absolutely amazing experience, walked in to my appointment to install a head unit I had bought elsewhere (appointment was made the night before!) and was really well taken care of, they had me in within 30 minutes even though I was very late to my appointment and was finished with an amazing product after another 30 minutes. He even threw in a microphone he had lying around for free and fixed one of my rear speakers for free as well! Absolutely amazing staff and a wonderful welcoming environment. Definitely recommend to anyone and everyone and will definitely be back.

The hype is real. Efren has Installed a complete system for me and another custom push button start job. Service is top notch. I had a wiring issue (that wasnt his fault) and he went over the top to make sure it couldnt happen again. Im a customer for life.

Why am I giving Efren @ Nv Car Audio LLC 5 stars? Because Google only allows 5 stars, otherwise Id say this business is a 10.Situation: Our family ride is a 2006 Durango. We bought it used and put some good family miles driving to vacation spots. After a couple of years the stereo head unit stopped working. Mind you this is the top of the line Alpine factory system (for 2006 anyway) with a rear DVD system and the in-dash navigation. The first thing we did was start the shopping around process and get pricing to replace head unit while trying to retain the rear entertainment and steering wheel control functionality. The price quoted to us from the Best blue and yellow box store was ridiculously prohibitive of being able to eat a good sushi meal for the next 3 years. We used the request a quote feature from another business review site. 2 out of the 5 audio shops I requested quotes from answered. The first shops reply let us know that they would work on a price and get back to us. And yup you guessed it- no follow-up message. I wasnt going to Battle with them to get a quote.Almost the same hour that the reply/no reply came to my inbox comes Efrens answer WITH actual pricing based on a couple of scenarios. These quotes already came within the ballpark of what we were thinking, and with his almost 5 star rating, the decision to go with him was easy.Now here is where Efren (and his son-love local family businesses) really shines. He offered an even BETTER price than he originally quoted once he got his eyes on our system and talked to the both of us to tailor what we needed without upsell. It allowed us to also get the factory subwoofer repaired with a JBL cone that we had just learned to tolerate as a road companion that was always there rattling away like an annoying back seat driver...Note: Yes the location is definitely off the beaten path. But that is probably why he can keep his prices down and he locks your vehicle inside the shop if he happens to need to keep it overnight.Outcomes: We dont have a noisy factory subwoofer. We have all the bells and whistles we had before PLUS Bluetooth (not a thing yet in 2006). We found out a lot more about our rear DVD player, because Efren discovered it also has its own infrared dual zone audio capability-meaning with infrared headphones the back passengers can listen to the audio of the movie and the main stereo can be used to play your radio, Pandora, or other phone content via Bluetooth. Put the icing on the cake that we got more and spent less than we would have at the big box store. We drove out of there with a system that sounded better than it ever did and could still afford the sushi dinner that night. Thank you Efren!

Great family run business !

Great place to have audio work done! I was doing a radio upgrade on my motorhome. I wanted to have the new radio installed and connect the existing backup camera into the screen display. An installer at an un-named business said he didnt believe he could do it. Efron at NV Audio looked at the backup camera and called the manufacturer. He found out there was an adapter to make the existing camera cable compatible with my new radio. We ordered the adapter, Efron did the radio installation and everything worked great. Very Happy, great service for a reasonable price!

This is an excellent Car Audio shop; the best I have been too. Let me first say that I had an Amp installed elsewhere and they charged way to much to begin with, changed/increased the price AFTER the install and did not use parts they charged me for. They charged me for a Amp Install kit and just used their bulk speaker wire. I thought they would be good since they have been around since 1969 supposedly and had a lot of good reviews but they were just another stereo shop that has inflated prices that they can not stick too and bad business practices. The guy at Nv Car Audio even fixed their mistakes by running better speaker wire to my Subs. This stereo shop was great. The install prices are 25% or more lower than any other shop in town and you deal with only one guy named Efren that does everything and is very knowledgable. I just had a 4-channel Amp install for all my door speakers and he charged me a flat $70 for all of it and I tipped. This is one of the best car audio places I have ever been to and I will be going back for more installs in the near future. Thank you NV Car Audio.
