Great value and fantastic service. This is a great local mom and pop rental and gear shop on the way to Mt. Rose & Incline Village. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their work. I’m glad I found this place and will definitely come back if I’m ever boarding in North Lake Tahoe.

What a great place to get outfitted!!!! They were less than half the price than at the ski resort and they let us pick up the gear the night before at no extra cost. This saved us hours in the morning!! And returns were way quicker compared to the ski resort.Deland and the other employee (I didn’t catch his name) were knowledgeable and friendly. He’s from the area and will give you tips on where to go. Would recommend hands down!

The Big Man (as I call him) is a former Rockstar/professional skier/ski-patrol stud who has been running the show at this place for a long time. He is a wonderful guy who truly knows skiing and what works best for his customers. I would go to Galena Sports just to hang out with this excellent man.

We walked in and were greeted by the nicest most knowledgeable guy (I feel so bad for not writing down his name). For the first time ever I had explanations behind the ski and boot sizing and he actually took the time to set us up well. I was able to ski for several hours without any pain in my feet, legs, or knees, and usually Im hurting badly before leaving the ski hill. The equipment was in great shape and super affordable. It was such an inexpensive rental that i considered not ever buying skis. He offered great advice and took great care of us. Thank you for helping us beginners and making skiing a more accessible for broke students!!

Best prices on rental and super convenient. Even their gear for sale ranges from cheap stuff all the way up to expensive so you have some good options. Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful and is as stoked for you hitting the slopes as you are!

Stopped in on the way to the mountain with a broken piece on my binding. Guy fixed it right up with a spare part he had lying around and didnt even charge me! Great shop!

Employees seemed nice enough, my issue is with the owner. I dont make a habit of incorporating my political views into buying from stores, but if you are going to paste billboards all over for a Republican candidate that I happen to dislike, I will avoid purchasing from your store out of principle.

Great place with great prices! I rented snow shoes for $13 for the day, got stuck in traffic on the way home and the man working was kind enough to wait on me so I could return the shoes. Recommend!

This is a great place for cheap rentals. All of your snow gear is cheap and of good quality. Also, the workers are very nice and showed us how to use gear and helped us adjust our gear to suit our needs. They offer a wide selection of products, from skis to snowshoes to sleds. Its a great stop for a great price.

Friendly folks, Quick Service, great rental prices. $10 to adjust bindings instead of the $25 another store quoted me. Highly recommended!

Best place to rent ski gear

We have had several experiences over a weekend that I decided to write and warn people about the lack of professionalism as well as rudenessIt started off while we were looking at rentals last weekend Dec26,2015The old guy who owns it is yelling at the top of his lungs telling his employee to get off the phone so he can run a credit card. The employee was talking to a customer in the phone which is ironicNext when I presented my AX card he says nope no good here cost me thousandsI said that that was all I had. His response in a non nice way was byeMy daughter pulled out her card which was a visa. They actually write everything down on paper still? Including your CC number.When we returned the equipment we had to argue with them after they had run the card 8 hours earlier to scratch of the number! We said we appreciated it then his response was we dontCome on people? Why spend money in a place for 20 a day that is small, low inventory, terrible parking to try to take your stuff back when everyone else is and finally the lack of personal skills from multi people in that store.Bobos may be a drive but man are they nice
