My wife and I had breakfast here on a Sunday around 9:45. They said they were short staffed and there was a short wait (only about 8 minutes) until we were seated.I had a Bloody Mary and the Chicken Fried Steak and my wife had the pancake breakfast. The pancake breakfast wasnt bad by any means but wasnt really anything to get excited over. The Bloody Mary was really good. It wasnt very spicy, which I actually like, and there were a few different hot sauce options if you wanted to spice it up. The Chicken Fried Steak was amazing. It tasted like it was homemade, not one of the cheap prebreaded CFSs that distributors sell and it had nice, thick gravy.The service was excellent, despite being short staffed. The waitress checked on us several times throughout the meal and the food came out in a timely manner.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.

DC Cafe serves a very good and hearty breakfast thats very low priced. We have breakfast there once a week. Shout out to Quincy who helped me with my sweater today!

New management keeps screwing the Dining Car. They cant retain talent and they consistently screw up because of it. Nearly continual problems with orders overcooked... Steak & eggs ordered rare came out well done. Prime rib ordered as rare as can be came out well done and way over salted. Cowboy Chop medium rare came out burnt multiple times. Ribs came out soaked in water because they werent fresh but kept steamed way too long.They have great front staff. Dont know the kitchen crews, but I can say this isnt the high quality place you may have experienced in past years.

The food is good. Service was awful. Whoever the young guy working cashier with curly hair should really be replaced. The servers were slow. Nice but slow. Took forever to be seated when there were open tables and booths. The food took an hour to get to the table. Very very disappointed. Sorry.

Lovely food, as always! Raheem, our server, was very attentive, very kind, and the consummate professional! Never wanted for anything. Drinks were always filled, dishes cleared once empty, Raheems service was too notch. Waited over 25 minutes for 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy only to watch the table next to me get a full order and be given the excuse why I was not served that theyre waiting on the gravy. I visited here several times before this and everything was fine it seems the waitress doesnt care for my patronage. Needless to say I will not be back.

The food is always good, especially the hash browns, but the service isnt always the best. My best experience was at night about eight oclock. Im not one of those people who go to restaurants expecting to get the most friendly and talkative server there is. I go there for the food so, four stars.

Very sad they just reopened from a remodel and they remove alot of food from menu and food was ok food was made better before they closed, service was sad sit for 20 mins waiting for check server took our order and never came back to check on us sadly I dont we will be coming back

Food was witty and our server sucked as well. Gave us our bill right after giving us our food and never saw him again. Brought appetizers and food at the same time. Chili burger had barely any chili but the steak appetizers was actually good. So they get a star for that.Stay away from here.
