Wonderful experience every time I walk into the store. To be fair its the only dive shop Ive ever patronized. I chose Sierra Dive Center to get my SCUBA certification before my wedding/honeymoon in Belize. I sent emails to both certification centers I found in Reno and Sierra Dive Center gave me all the information I thought I needed to make a decision. My first visit to get signed up Mark was very friendly and helpful even though I rushed in right before close on a Saturday evening and walked me through everything and helped me download all the apps to make my class and home learning more efficient. My second trip in I worked with Mark and Sam to get personal gear (mask, snorkel, boots, etc) and both gentleman were amazing and helpful without seeming to up sell me. Jerry and Ryder are very knowledgeable and kind during classes even though I feel Ive been a bit more of a wimp and needed more encouragement than I should during my open water dives. I feel that they (and the other instructors theyve brought in to help supervise and keep students safe) have really gone above and beyond to make sure that not only do I learn and become certified but that I am comfortable while doing so. A huge thanks to Jerry, Ryder, Mark and Sam for everything.I really couldnt be more pleased with my decision in choosing this location for my certification.

Good people, good class and great instructor (Mr. Lind)The class is a bit pricy but it is in Lake Tahoe so its to be expected. Just prepare for a ton of driving, but other than that it goes smoothly.

This place is awesome, not only are all of the staff very very friendly but they are obviously extremely technically skilled and knowledgeable in their craft Tristan and Mark have answered every single question I could come up with. Its refreshing to know that Top Notch customer service still exists and you can find it at Sierra Dive Center. Ill never go anywhere else thanks guys!

I have been going to Sierra Dive Center for over 30 years. The owner Is very professional and a wealth of knowledge. Five Star Facility and Five Star service. As a dive store own for over 21 years I would recommend Sierra Dive Center to anyone I know. The employees are knowledgeable and very professional.

Planned my vacation around learning altitude diving. Im always wanting to learn more about SCUBA. Sierra Diving Center worked with me to get the most out of my experience. Over three days, six dives above 6,200 feet, and it was awesome. Keith and his Dive Instructor, Ryder, tuned the dives to what I wanted to do. There were some set-backs, but we worked through them. No rush, no stress, smooth diving. The way a vacation should be. I would highly recommend this dive group if you want an awesome experience.

The husband and I would not trust anyone else to service our gear. We dont even live in Reno but go out of our way to ship gear to Sierra Diving for service. The owner and staff are 100% professional and knowledgable and provide great communication. They also work very hard to accommodate our timeline (i.e. if we have a dive trip coming up). We have truly enjoyed being their customer for the past 5+ years and highly recommend Sierra Diving!!

These may be the cheapest place in town but not worth the savings. I tried diving with these guys was conversing and they where finding me someone to dive with. Said they would call me back twice and then they just never answered or returned my calls. Save yourself the headache and dive with Adventure Scuba Center in town. Worth the little bit extra money to know they will not ignore you or waste your time. They have yet to call me back and have been here a week. RUDE.

I give this place an A+. As a former US Navy Diver, PADI Divemaster and Commercial Diver who once operated a small diving business myself, I can testify that this facility is top notch. Keith is a solid professional who I have no doubt will make your diving experience a pleasant one. He has everything a diver needs and his prices are great. Check out his merchandise, I did and I found it to be VERY reasonably priced. If he doesnt have it in stock, he can get it. If youre in that area, I dont know why youd go anywhere else!

If you want the BEST: Equipment, Instruction, and Repairs this is the place in Reno, and the Truckee Meadows!All of their store staff are divers, they love to dive and it shows. When I think of Scuba, I think of Sierra Diving Center and Keith Chesnut!
