They have a lot of Mexican products that are hard to find elsewhere. I also like their food, the tacos and burritos are delicious!! I always DO TAKE OUT and they are fast!

The family that runs this place are very nice people, the food is awesome, and the store is a nice little place. I highly recommend their food. Their tacos are outstanding! Food is always fresh and the ingredients are not fast food quality. Skip Taco Hell, and go to La Barca!

Wow I wasn’t expecting it to be as delicious as it was. What a great food experience!! Door dash delivery was fast and food was hot. I had a shrimp taco and the carne asada plate with rice,beans and tortillas. It was so good I can’t stop raving about it. The portions were large so I have lunch again for tomorrow, that’s always a bonus. The meat was seasoned so perfectly I didn’t even open the sauces that came with it. The red onions really made it next level. Although it was in a clamshell container for delivery it still looked like a fine dining dinner under the lid. All the food was fresh and bright. I’m in Reno for a few more days and for sure, without a doubt will order from La Barca grocery again.

The food was excellent! Everything was made fresh & you can really tell. Both the green & red salsas were great, normally I prefer the green but their red had great taste & a little spice. Huge selection of products I cant find anywhere else!

This place is a hidden gem in Stead. Looks like a regular hispanic market, but in the back of the store is a incredible restaurant serving incredible burritos,tacos and tortas to name a few. Thanks for providing quality food for the stead community.

This market has a little food counter in the back. The food is great. I have been searching for good Mexican food comparable to what I used to get in San Diego and haven‘t found it yet in Reno but I’d argue the carne asada burrito at La Barca is better than any in San Diego, different style and better. The carne asada has the best flavor and the combination of ingredients is delicious. This is coming from someone who doesnt normally like carne asada or rice in my burritos. This has both and is so so good! Their breakfast burritos are great too! I’m so happy I found this place and it’s close by. It’s also a great spot to stop in for any Mexican condiments you might need like fresh pico, guac etc for when you are making Mexican food at home.

Prices are a little high but service is good and si is the deli good food

This little market has a kitchen in the back that frealy prepares, genuine Mexican food thats awesome! Also, the La Barca chips and guacamole is the best around!

Went there around 11:10 am on 3/5/21. Ordered a carnita burrito, 2 tamales and 3 extra salsas. Once I got home we noticed that what was given to us was a carne asada plate and some tortillas. Had to go back to return the stuff that we didnt order for a refund. This was my first time going to the place, and last because the time, trouble and gas having to go back to return botched orders is not something Im interested in repeating.

When I lived closer, I used to come in here all the time for fresh rolls and the desserts. Tonight, I decided to order in since door dash is available in my area.I ordered 2 lengua and 2 shrimp tacos, and a pork tamale.I am SO HAPPY. Everything was delicious. Today is my Moms 76th birthday and she loves tamales. I called La Barca to see if they had tamales. They had 4 kinds, pork, chicken,beef and sweet tamales. I wanted to surprise my mom. Bought 4 beef and 2 pork tamales. We had them for dinner tonight and I can say. The Pork tamales were so yummy. The beef ones,not very good. Was really bummed the beef tamales were not as good as the pork tamales. Definitely will buy the pork ones again.

Food at this establishment is Yums to the Tums if I do say so myself! Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Not sure you’d know it unless u were to go inside and check it out, hence the outside says La Barca Mexican Store. And oh boy! We are extremely thankful & grateful that we stopped in! We’ve only just purchased a new home on this side of town super recently and I’ll tell ya, my family/I are simply BEYOND impressed with the taste and authenticity of flavors! We come here for lunch at least twice every week. The restaurant in the back has the best authentic Mexican food. Their carne asada is seasoned perfectly, it is so delicious. The burritos are the perfect size to fill you up. Their salsas have the best flavor too. Everything is homemade and the best quality. Everything is reasonably priced, especially for the high quality food you get. This place is the best kept secret in Reno/Stead... you have to try it! I would eat here every day if I could!!

Great place when you need just a few things.

I was just in there to order some guacamole and they were going to charge me $5.50 for a container which was not even full. I told the lady I’m not buying it it’s not even full she responded what do you mean is not even full I said look at it she said are you kidding me get out I’m not selling you anything. What kind of customer service do you offer instead of saying that you should’ve said let me get it for full for you and then that way I would’ve purchased it the price is not the issue for me is how are you going to sell something when it’s not even full I don’t care if it’s freshly made I am paying for something that you are not providing the service for.

I’m going to start off by saying ew I wish I could give it zero stars. It was burnt and gross. Nothing was ordered correctly. Sad.

The store is great and the food at the store is awesome. The son has a taco truck with the same name same family. His customer service is horrible. The chorizo tacos are way too salty. The hot Sauce at the store is great but the son wanted to do his own thing and messed the ingredients up. These tacos are way too overpriced for what they taste like. The son should stick to the store recipe. Because what he’s doing to the food is not working. And I am not the only one who thinks this. I made the mistake taking my whole family and my co-workers one day because I was on the impression that it would taste like the store. It did not, my family and my co-workers will not go back. I’m recommend everyone to try these tacos but just go to the store. The food truck is always posted at the glass die or the eddy, if you ask the son if they sell drinks inside he will tell you that he does not know with a beer in his hand. Which is extremely unprofessional, drinking while he makes your food. His foodtruck is clean but his service, price, and food quality, is not the best at all. Go to the store in stead you will not be disappointed, this review is specifically for the food truck. He should stop with trying his own seasoning and own sauce. I believe that before he gets to park his truck outside of your business, make sure you tell him what you sell and what you offer because if you ask him he will have no clue according to him.

Went on my lunch break had ordered first over the phone, then when I got there I was told that one of my item was still going to take 15 minutes. And they did not have my second item they where out of stock so based on the time I haf left I had to cancel my order and to top it off the cashier tells me after I canceled my order they couldnt take orders from me anymore .wow really it was one item I cancel and they didnt have my other in stock great customer service guys 👍👍👍👏I always have came here and this is probly going to be my last due to this experience🙁

Great food horrible service.The girl at the counter was rude from the gecko.I bough a handful of candies and she didn’t offer a bag.When I did ask for one she was rude about it and said she only had large bags.I told her that’s was ok I went out to my car and notices that some of the candy pops where old and moldy.I went back in to exchanges them and she asked why I showed her the candy she seemed upset and said well I guess.I told her I don’t want to eat something that’s old that I purchased.I exchanged them and she completely ignored me.Horrible customer service

But the only thing they do is not want to support these small businesses and if they go to the stores ... Once again, this staff member will not take staff, or learn from what they say to one or simply does not take into account the comment.
