As much as I don’t like to write reviews, here I go! I had never been to this location previously. I needed some maintenance done to my vehicle, and I had chosen this place online, skeptically. I just don’t trust new repair places! My visit exceeded my expectations! Daniel has great customer service skills! The Garage was obviously very busy at that time, and still I was taken care of! The guys at the Garage are extremely helpful, I took my car in for cylinder misfire and they took care of the diagnostics and kept me updated on everything they were going to do to the car. This shop is highly rated for good reason! My husband tried to jump our car and accidently hooked it up backwards. All of our electronics stopped working. We couldnt figure out how to fix it so we ended up bringing it into The Garage. It was about 2 weeks of them trying to figure out what was going on. There was a part they thought was the reason. Ordered it and that wasnt what it needed so they went wire by wire to try and figure it out. Finally figured out the radio was fried. Took that out and everything worked out great! Well, we originally took it in a week before our 4 day road trip thinking it would be any easy fix. Once Daniel realized it was going to take longer then expected he rented us a car on his dime so we wouldnt have to cancel our trip! On top of that he came in under his estimated price! I dont know a garage anywhere that would come in under price on top of renting a car for 4 days for their customer. He went above and beyond! We will be lifetime customers!

I had shocks - both front and read for my SUV. I need my car before the shop closes as I had vacation planned. Daniel and his team put extra effort to get the job done in time. They did excellent job on selecting the parts and installing them.

My truck broke down- these were the closest people. Id never seen a review, I just lucked in to finding this shop. As someone who typically does my own work, it was nice to talk to people who got it. They validated what I believed was broken was in fact the culprit, did what needed to be done and communicated clearly, promptly and went through the rest of my vehicle to make sure it was safe- finding a couple things that had gotten worse since my last visual inspection. Our brakes were grinding so my fiancé and I brought in our car on Friday. They said theyd have it ready by the end of the day. 7 hours go by without hearing from them. I call. No answer, wouldnt let me leave a voice-mail. I call again, 15 minutes before close, they answer and tell me how our car needs a new radiator, new battery, new air filter, new everything, and if I dont run down and pick up my car within the next 10 minutes I need to wait until Monday. I run over, and the guy at the desk comments on my fiancé not being with me. He gives me his card and tells me to come back with a new car because this car isnt worth servicing. I felt like he was being overly flirtatious and taking advantage of my lack of car knowledge because my fiancé wasnt with me.

Met with Daniel here, they gave a great inspection of my vehicle. They have this awesome virtual inspection tool with pictures and all the details of the inspection. They made it super easy to knock out the items I needed maintenances and they did it all quickly and with great quality will definitely be coming back!

Came in for oil change. Upon walking in the office was a cozy room, clean and organized. The entire workshop is an open space and is organized as well. Some of these small details may seem trivial but it tells a lot about the professionalism and etique. I also got a text about a courtesy inspection report. Since it is a Honda (you know how Honda runs) the owner joked about Honda being boring as there is nothing for them to fix haha. People seem friendly too as I am got a ride home and back to pick up my car, so that my work schedule is not disrupted having to wait in the workshop. Overall it is a great service and I am glad to stop by this place.

I had to have the engine replaced on my 2014 Ford Escape. I didnt know where to go, so I called my church and asked for a recommendation. They said The Garage. It was going to take up to a week to do the job and I still needed to get to work, and to two doctor appointments. The bus was not an option. They had a loaner car that they gave me to use, which was a lifesaver. The work was professional and done sooner than they had anticipated and I am very pleased with them! When I need to have other work done, thats where I will be going.

Fantastic service! They were flexible with my schedule. They explained things clearly with a detailed report. They made recommendations without pushing for an upsell. The overall experience was 10 times better than a quick oil change from a chain but the price was nearly the same.

Was quoted 1,350 to replace water pump and timing belt. Another garage within 3 miles did it for 700.

Had a battery issue with my small RV, and although not able to fully service it, were more than willing to check it out. It was a little more than routine to find the ultimate problem, but it was solved and they completely satisfied me. I highly recommend The Garage in Renton!

I really like this shop. I usually take my car to the dealership, but wanted to take it to a smaller shop for my 120K maintenance. Not only do they take a thorough look at your car, they send you a report with pictures of things that need repaired, so you can see exactly what they are talking about. This is the only shop, in my experience, that offers that service, and puts your mind at ease about possibly being taken advantage of. The shop was SUPER clean, everyone was nice, and I appreciated the text communication. Ill be back for some of the bigger yellow repairs that were recommended. Thanks again!

But instead I was very impressed when they finished the inspection in a very reasonable amount of time and at a fair price. They exceeded my standards by providing a link to pictures and notes on the car so I could see exactly what they saw when they were under the car. I would definitely trust these guys again.

I used them for a post vehicle inspection on my new SUV. They were very thorough. The gentleman, Dan, I think his name was worked with me to set an appointment as I changed the date and time a few times. They actually finished much sooner than expected and called to give me the news and go over the information for my inspection. Luckily, there were no issues and vicky(the car) got a clean bill of health. The garage was recommended by another person who got a pre sale inspection. I presented a coupon, and it didnt show on my invoice, but since total charge was a bit less than discussed, and a couple of minor additional services were provided, I didnt quibble.Daniel, service manager, is personable and professional, and communicates promptly. There is a saying in construction. You want it fast, done well, and inexpensive. Pick two of three. I have a tendency to apply this to most service. Alas, my experience with the Garage did not include any of these.My service experience started in Sept 2020. I made an appt for an oil change and needed the car back by the end of the day. The car was diagnosed as needed a full fluid/filter service which I chose to not have completed that day, and I was called in the late afternoon stating the car was done and ready. Upon my arrival, it was realized that they had spent all their time diagnosing the vehicle but never performed the oil change in a 7 hour time frame. They were gracious enough to perform the oil change while I waited and did not charge me for the oil change. I was asked, Give us another chance. And I did. While theyre scheduling seems disorganized, they did give me good customer service for their mistake. Even if I did not make it to my appt that evening I had tried to so carefully schedule around.The another chance came in March of 2021, when I made an appt a week in advance to perform all the previously prescribed and diagnosed oil, fluid, and filter changes. I also asked in advance if the car could be ready by the end of business and was assured that they could do the work in a day. I dropped off the car at 8:30 am and it was confirmed that the work would be done by the end of business. After a call about a part that was needed, I requested that they not perform that work if it would take more than the initial day, and that I could return at a later date, if needed. They agreed. I was called at 5:00 pm telling me that they could not get all the work done prior to closing and that they were staying late to finish the work. My car was ready at 6:30 pm, with a full bill to show that all the fluid and filter work that they had on record previously was complete. There was a bit of blame passing that I did not appreciate. Namely, Jeanine, I cant have this again. You just cant ask for the work to be done in a day. To which I responded that this sounded like a scheduling issue on their part. If they couldnt figure out what was doable or not doable with an appt a week in advance, they should have told me they needed more than a day. This was NEVER communicated in advance and instead I was blamed for requesting the work in this timeframe. Fine, I let it go at that. I paid for my service and off I went.THE NEXT MORNING MY CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT FROM 1ST TO 2ND AND WAS REVVING TO HIGH RPMS AND SUDDENLY SHIFTING HARD. Needless to say, I had to pay to find alternative transportation to work and missed several hours of work (additional cost to me). After all the blame shifting and my previous experience with their scheduling, I did not trust going back to the Garage in Renton. I took my car to a transmission shop as I suspected that the transmission flush the Garage performed was less than well performed. The transmission shop then proceeded to show me the fluids gasket sealer that was in place on my car. A dirty, gray, OLD gasket. He showed me what new gasket should look like, shiny and light amber color (after driving it for 15 miles since being serviced at the Garage in Renton the gasket in place was not new!) and suspected that they flushed the fluid, but did not replace enough fluid back in the transmission AND did not complete the full service by replacing the gasket. I had the transmission shop do the work that I had already paid for at the Garage at Renton and low and behold, my car shifted nicely. The diagnostic showed a gear ratio error in 2nd with loss of hydraulic pump prime. In the end, the transmission was 2.5 quarts LOW!So, the Garage in Renton performed shoddy incomplete work, could not do it in a timely fashion, blamed the customer for their lack of time management at last minute, and charged me the going price for what should have been complete work. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THE GARAGE IN RENTON AND THEY WILL NOT EVER GET ANOTHER CHANCE.

Can’t speak to the quality of the work as I’m not a mechanic, but Daniel and the guys at The Garage were very kind, helpful and professional and had my car ready well before when they said they would. Even surprised me with a discount on the oil change I had done. Nice guys. Would definitely bring my car here again.

I came in for an oil change and asked them to check our a few items that other mechanics have not been able to give me answers to. I really like that they text you the report of the vehicle inspection and include pictures in the report for anything that is recommended to be addressed. I trust them and always feel well taken care of. Daniel, the manager, makes sure that the service exceeds your expectations. I also really appreciate the use of the loner car during the work.

Super friendly staff. Excellent service. I took my car in to find out where a noise was coming from. It only happens occasionally and ultimately it didn’t happen while the Garage had it (isn’t that always how it works) so I didn’t find an answer. However, I am grateful that the staff just told me that rather than making up stuff or guessing to try and get me to spend money. They even gave me a loaner car for the time being. 10/10 will take my car there now for basic maintenance.

Great place, amazing service. From the moment I called I felt 100% trust in these guys. After diagnosis, they offered pics by text of failed parts, etc., before they asked for authorization for the work. Got finished sooner than expected and a bit under estimate, solved the major repair issue with my AC. The vibe here is so relaxed, mixed with confidence and a desire for customer service, so I can see why they have so many 5 star reviews. While I hope to never need to go back, its nice to know they are there if I need them.

I recently drove my Ford Taurus up from California and in the last 100 miles my check engine light comes on. I had just hit 60k, so I thought I just needed a tune-up (code reader showed a cylinder misfire).Completely new to the area, I found The Garage in Renton through these google reviews, and I am so glad I did! Daniel’s crew did a full inspection, found out my alternator wasn’t working at all (I had just replaced the battery and had no idea!), a belt that needed replaced, and brakes that were on the edge of gone.Daniel talked through each job with me, informing me of his suggestions and what needed to be done with PATIENCE and KINDNESS. I noticed after driving back from an errand that my car started a huge leak and I checked my dip stick and my oil level dropped below minimum. I usually maintain my car at the dealership because I had a maintenance plan since purchasing the car from the dealer but it was further away and I didnt want to damage my engine. They even took pictures so I can take it back to the dealership to get them to remedy and clean all the oil that is now sticking to the undercarriage.TLDR:The Garage was super great to help me out of an immediate and large oil leak and never EVER get a Ford Sedan because the car has had nothing but issues since day one. If I get a different car I will always service it at the Garage.

Today I visited Garage in Renton to get a broken part( splash shield) of my car replaced.I was thinking of replacement part and how long it will take in case a right spare part not ready for that and of cause, how much I need to pay for everything including a labor!But everything was not that way I thought.Those guys who first greeted me at receptionist desk and mechanic who checked and fixed what my car needs, were professional, friendly and efficient.Very fast and excellent service, they did not charge any penny for this service.Also their safety measures to avoid spread any germs and bacteria eased me in this challenging, COVID-19 pandemic time!Thank you All for your excellent service and professionalism:)Today Feb 24.2021Thank you All for your excellent service and super friendly environment.Always grateful to your service....great place ....great employees and Thank you All for your wonderful Team Work.
