Candor is a coffee shop that exceeds all expectations. The atmosphere itself is one that says “Come, stay a while.” In the hustle of life I cherish having a place where I can get a really good cup of locally roasted coffee, served with quality in mind, by a truly outstanding staff. Wifi is fast, even when there are 15+ people connected and working on their computers. I regularly tell friends, coworkers, and other acquaintances to check Candor out.While I am a black coffee type of person, no contaminates allowed they do have a fantastic menu of specialty drinks that is regularly updated. Creativity, craft, and excellence are what I think of when I think about Candor Coffee.
Extremely bizarre experience here. Dropped by because I wanted to try a new coffee place so thought Id try it out. Upon walking in there were about 8-10 people sitting inside absolutely none of them wearing masks, which I thought was odd considering the state mask mandate but even more odd than that was that the STAFF were not even wearing masks. Seems incredibly irresponsible, dangerous and thoughtless to the community to not enforce mask wearing.Coffee was fine but its not really ever worth returning if theyre not willing to help protect our community.
We were happy to stop by at this place. This place has very friendly atmosphere like at home.There were lots of different nice looking plants 🪴. Everything looks modern inside. Relaxing colors in side like white, wooden and green. There was rug by the butie products I think. There were some customers that came to do work there and some to meet up with Friends or work meetings. More likely they have free wifi. Coffee was amazing with Coffee art. Worker were friendly and professional. They have restrooms here as well.
I am so excited to find a quality coffee shop in this area. This place feels like a Seattle coffee shop but it’s in Renton/ Kent. I paid $6.60 for a 12 ounce hazelnut oat milk latte - a bit on the high side for Seattle area prices. The coffee is very good and the baristas are nice. I had to take away one star for the music. They are playing loud country music. So be prepared for that and maybe just take your coffee to go.
Great coffee, excellent service, cool vibe. First of all the coffee is fantastic, something to expect in a coffee shop. I was skeptical at five stars but it was honestly delicious. Customer service was great, the girls who work there couldn’t get the cash register to take my card and they made me coffee anyway. They said “if we get it working before you leave pay us otherwise don’t worry about it”. Worth a stop if you are in the area
Candor is such a lovely coffee shop; they focus on local businesses and have a short but stable menu with an enjoyable seasonal menu. The interior aesthetics must be shared and complimented! Suitable for solo or group work, there is plenty of seating indoors as well as picnic-style tables outdoors. It’s an unassuming exterior from the street, but everything about this place is thoughtfully done. I ordered the iced chai oatmilk latte, later the seasonal brown sugar shaken espresso, and a peach passion fruit scone. The drinks are delicious; made to order and easily customizable with a conversation with the barista. The chai is spicy and not too sweet, just the way I love a good chai (it’s from concentrate). The brown sugar shaken espresso is soooo good! I had mine with a bit more added syrup and oatmilk; it has sustained me for more than a day. The pastries are all from local places and has changed throughout the pandemic; currently, the taste of the scone was good, but it’s texture and consistency was a lot more like a muffin top. Overall, I would return again and again!
This is the best place in our area for breakfast. I felt like I was in a small family cafe in Paris. coffee from a professional machine and different flavors. very polite staff. lounge atmosphere with fresh music and very pleasant design. in this cafe I want to stay longer or make a first date 💋💋. For sure to come here in the morning and start your day with 3 minutes for yourself in pleasure
Love Candor Coffee! The atmosphere is cozy, can’t wait to do work here when their seating area opens up again. The barista was very enthusiastic and helpful. I ordered their exclusive drink which was delightful, not too sweet yet tasty with a marshmallow that’s torched on the spot. They also support local businesses by selling some of their merchandise in store. Can’t wait to come back for more!

This is the cutest coffee shop Ive been to, it is so bright and happy! I cant wait for them to be able to let people sit in because the vibe is so fun. The place is really clean, the people are all really nice (Ive been here three or four times now), and the coffee is amazing! Their sweet lattes are so good they have more flavor without all the sweetness like most places. Its not too sweet but still a treat! The Olympia espresso they use is delicious. And to top it off they have a great shelf display of a bunch of local business and artists work for sale!
Love the aesthetics, brings some sunshine to our gloomy state. The location is very convenient and finally a cute hole in the wall shop for the area. The coffee is delicious and the baristas are very friendly. I absolutely love their house specials, cant wait to see what they have for the next season!
Ive visited periodically over the past few months for my same hot chocolate and its like every time I order one it gets watered down extremely. Theres no reason for my hot chocolate to taste anything like water. At that point youre serving hot water with a drop of chocolate taste.
Very courteous staff and nice coffee. The place is very vibrant. We try to go atleast once a week to have coffee there. Keep up the good work!
Love the chance to support local businesses! Candor Coffee is absolutely adorable! Though we cannot fully enjoy the interior for a sit down and stay experience currently (thanks covid), it is still so fun to admire when stopping in for pickup. The staff are extremely friendly and the specialty drink menu is fun and always changing! Definitely worth a visit! :)

Coffee is amazing and their matcha is so good! They have special drinks and I would not hesitate to try any of them! The owner herself is extremely kind and is so creative, hence the design. Does not feel crowded in regards to seating. I personally am not a fan of tables and chairs being a hair thin away from one another. So I enjoyed their space and set up. Will definitely be coming back over and over. Would love for the hours to be extended in the future if possibly, for late evening studies :)

I love the latte ($4.5 for 12 oz.), mild but with good flavor. My friends got a shot of espresso with chamomile tea, which Ive never heard of, but was told was an interesting combo.There are also lots of cute stuff sold at the store - cards, jewelry, coffee beans, etc.If you are nearby (IKEA people), come to support this new business

I walked over a mile in the damp cold to try this coffee. The cashier was patient with me and had exemplary costumer service. I ordered a large white chocolate mocha based on her insight. It came to me with a cute heart made in the froth. I sit her, writing this review in the lobby, enjoying the atmosphere and the flavor.Post script. 5 stars in the industry I believe means highly satisfied and is weighted by many to be the positive review vs a 4 which would indicate something was wrong. Picked up coffee and pastries to go. Pastries were excellent which matched the service. I got a 16 oz latte there and was disappointed. The latte tasted like warmed milk with very little to no espresso. Probably won’t return but would recommend getting an extra shot for the larger lattes

Great crafted drinks that actually taste like coffee (not sugar with a splash of coffee). They also offer great loose-leaf teas and matcha drinks. The pricing is appropriate, the staff are friendly, and the environment is relaxing. They have indoor seating (spread out) as well as an outdoor patio where you can enjoy your coffee with your pup. Definitely recommend coming here over going across the street to Starbucks.
This is a new coffee joint in the area that gives off Cap Hill vibes while being down south, something that I truly appreciate. There are a few things that kind of rubbed me the wrong way though, even though its a beautiful local establishment.First off, the interior as well as the coffee are to die for. It is extremely Instagrammable for sure, and I have taken a few photos here and shared them on my stories. Its really beautiful and if you need to get away from the house for an hour, this place is great!However, the one thing that was a turn off for me has to be the food and drinks. Ive tried their croissants a few times and they are very chewy and oily compared to other croissants Ive had. Im only speaking for the butter croissant. Im not sure if it is house made or bought from somewhere else, but these were very disappointing every time I did get them.The coffee is probably the most disappointing I would say. Every latte that I have gotten so far has been very subpar. Most of the time I would get the coffee with a very acidic taste to it, as if the coffee they use is expired. The flavor choices are great, but theyre not as flavorful and are greatly overpowered by the acidic taste you get from the coffee. It doesnt have a punch that you would get from your usual cup. I do recommend getting their lavender syrup, it is house made and its very delicious! The pricing is a little more than your usual coffee shop but I was not reallly surprised given the interior/vibes of the place. Overall, there could be some improvements made and Im sure theyll figure it out somehow!The last thing I wanted to mention is the lack of COVID guidelines. The owner and baristas are in contact with many customers daily, yet every time I go, I do not see them wearing masks. The cafe is pretty small, and so distancing is nearly impossible if you are concerned about that. Overall, they do not enforce any restrictions and many customers have come in without masks and not attempting to distance. I just wanted to give people a heads up about this! I probably will not stop by any time soon after seeing this just for safety reasons!Overall, this cafe is very cute but they do have a lot of improving to do! Probably in the future I will visit again. But definitely try it out for yourself and see if you like it! :)

A great coffee shop! Spacious and clean with friendly baristas and fast service. I got the peach passion fruit scone which was delicious- not too sweet, perfectly fruity. Latte was wonderfully made also. The espresso roast is a bit on the light side of what I prefer but all in all it was excellent.
Really great experience. Loved the interior decor, the assortment of retail items, and the bright, cheerful staff. Took mom to coffee one morning after we moved our small business to Renton. We had the earl grey tea latte and almond milk caramel macchiato. Both were really delicious! Highly recommend.

This shop is amazing! Such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Makes you forget you’re in Seattle. Always my go to when I’m in the area and will sometimes even go out of my way for the amazing coffee and service. Once things get back to normal this will definitely be a new hangout spot for me.Variety of options from tea to coffee to their large options of pastries and sandwiches. Definitely come by and check them out!

Ive been here about 5-6 times. super nice environment to catch up with some friends. the interior is really nicely decorated, the overall aesthetic is very pleasing. ive come mostly to study, and its been nice. they have plenty of outlets to charge your devices. however, if you are looking for a quiet place to study, this place is not for you, its cafe so theres people talking and the music is fairly loud (no complaints for me i dont mind it). the drinks are nice! ive enjoyed most of the ones ive tried. i had a masala chai once and i didnt like it, too much cinnamon (as a south-asian person i have high standards for chai). the churro latte is very good, ive had it iced as well so good! the bathroom is nice and clean. the wifi has been fast. theres plenty of seating, it gets busy sometimes tho, and there is an ample amount of parking. i wish it was open later somedays tho. overall great place to grab a drink and chat with some friends.

Love this place! The aesthetic and vibe is wonderful. I’ve tried the horchata matcha and can’t get enough of it. I’ve also bought a bag of coffee and earrings from here. (They have a small selection of local handmade items). Staff is very kind and helpful with picking off the menu and answering questions. Also love the location (close to were I work).
This coffee shop is honestly my favorite out of the ones I’ve been to, at least around my area! Their baristas are super friendly, the food is amazing and their coffee is even better! (They serve Olympia coffee beans which is my absolute favorite!) I absolutely love browsing their little shop area as well as I wait for my coffee and food every time I come, they have the cutest products each time, all from local small businesses which I think is amazing!

This is my favorite coffee shop. Every drink I’ve gotten, from the seasonal lattes to the house made sodas, has been beyond delicious! The shop’s atmosphere is bright and inviting, which is so welcome in rainy, gray WA. The baristas are so kind and the shop even includes local, handmade items that make amazing gifts.

My husband and I discovered Candor Coffee this afternoon. The baristas were friendly, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting. I enjoyed the gingerbread latte with oat milk. We will definitely stop next time we are in the vicinity!

My wife and I have been to Candor Coffee numerous times ever since they opened. The people, atmosphere and team of baristas are awesome. It is very convenient as it is right off highway 167 and a great place to meet whether for business (yes they have WIFI) or to catch up with a friend. Their coffee is super good, they use Olympia Coffee beans! Will definitely keep coming back!
