Todays experience at best buy was a blast, thanks to Rodrigo, the seller, he did a great job. We even play jokes about our favourites soccers players, as he is from Brasil and Im from Argentina. But the main thing was his good predisposition, the way he explained us a lot of details about three different products we were interested on buying but had no clue how to do it...if it wouldnt be because of him, Im pretty sure we had left with empty hands. We would love the manager of the store to know this. And of course we want to say again a big big THANKS to Rodrigo. The store is #297, at 1861, Fountain Dr, Reston, VA.

Terrible Shipping and Customer Service!I purchased a refrigerator from Best Buy and paid for delivery in store. Despite the fact I live right across the street the soonest availability was a week later. The day of the scheduled delivery I called the store to check the status and was directed to 888-BedtBuy. After waiting an hr to speak with someone I was told my delivery date was not scheduled. I informed the rep I have have a receipt with a confirmed date, he told me he can only see online orders and I would have to deal with the store. So to reiterate, the store directed me to the 888 number and the number directed me back to the store. Come to find out my fridge was sent to a warehouse in Baltimore and when my husband went into the store in person to speak with the manager he informed him they are having a lot of shopping issues. We live across the street! Why not inform us of this before I pay for shipping and have to deal with not having a fridge for 2 weeks! Even worse Best Buy has no interest in expediting our shipment to rectify their error or compensate us for their issues. Hopefully we receive our refrigerator next week. Will be sure to update this post..

This store did not wanted to complete a contact less return even though the Best Buy app lets you process it. I did a purchase and although the delivered the purchased item, they refuse to do the return. This is the first time this has happened to me in a Best Buy since the Covid-19 contactless service was established. Other than this time service is normally good.

Horrible experience. Could not have been worse. Wasted an entire day waiting for a delivery that never came. During that day they emailed me saying the truck was on the way. It was not. They sent me an email saying that I had to reschedule the delivery. Their website would not allow me to reschedule. I called and spoke to at least three people in the Best buy call center. None of them were able to reschedule. I went to the store. They also were not able to reschedule. A lot of this is the fault of their contracted delivery company. But Best buy apparently has zero oversight or just doesnt care. The salesman informed me that 27 other people were in the same situation I was. The store is closing and I got a good deal on a refrigerator. That is the only positive thing I can say about this horrible experience.

Very poor customer service from the manager on shift 08/31. I was trying to refund or trade my laptop. He said the only way is if I apply for a BestBuy card! I don’t appreciate associates with his type of way doing business. I came to sterling location and they gladly took care of me without me applying for a best buy card.

Ordering a new set of laundry machines from the Reston Best Buy turned out to be a nightmare situation that sent us through 10 broken machines and left my family without easy access to clean laundry for a month. The first order included a washing machine and dryer covered in dents, scratches, and dirt that would barely function when they turned on at all. We went through 4 sets of replacements, all different brands and models, and they were all broken in one way or another. The most functional washing machine out of the 5 was able to wash no more than a couple towels at a time. Every dryer made screeching and banging noises like it had fallen out of a truck. After an entire month of fighting we finally parted ways with a full refund.The appliance section of this store is managed by Pacific Sales, a wholly owned subsidiary of Best Buy acquired way back in 2006. These people are not trustworthy. We worked with nearly everyone in the department, including the manager Antonio, and they all repeatedly failed to follow through on their promises. They made no effort to investigate or escalate our situation, failed to return our calls and emails, and dodged responsibility at every opportunity by claiming Best Buy affiliation when convenient and independence when not. Their communication with the rest of the business is abysmal. We had to play middleman between Pacific Sales, Geek Squad delivery, and Best Buy corporate, through an incredibly time consuming process of walk-ins, phone calls, and emails. No part of the replacement or refund process was easy and every new person we talked to had to listen in disbelief as we repeated our experience.Once we got the refund, we ordered laundry machines from the Home Depot across the street and had fantastic new units two days later.Ive been shopping at this Best Buy for over 20 years, since they had the humongous Super Mario statue, half the store was a music CD section, and boxed copies of Windows 98 were front and center. Ive been here countless times and mostly had great experiences. This one time tipped the scales with a boulder. 1 broken set of laundry machines I can understand, even 2, but 5? Something is horribly wrong here.I now primarily associate Best Buy with endless trips to the laundromat, and it actually makes me sad me to say I probably wont be shopping here again. Out of all the retail stores that have stuck around Reston since the 90s, this is the one I thought and hoped would continue to survive. Not likely now. The current state of operations is a shame.

No wonder this store is going out of business. Abysmal customer service.....will not refund for defective items. They are happy to take your money, but dont assume youll get anything for it. Offered to show them the errors I got on THEIR software. They didnt want to see it and said they would be happy to exchange the software download code I got for another--obviously, they are not smart enough to know that will not change anything. So much for their expertise and professionalism. The manager Mike was beligerant and useless. He didnt do anything but repeat the no return language over and over as if reading from a script. Go to the Tysons Corner store--their attitude is much better.

The manager and customer service at the Geek Squad were superb and very helpful to me and my son.On a separate note, this location has gone above and beyond for the Reston community during this pandemic. The fact that the building owners hijacked the rent is a financial reckless move on their part. Its bittersweet that they are closing their door because of the owners greed.

I got apple car play put into my car at this location and the service man was AMAZING! He was super quick, extremely nice, and even put my radio presets into the new stereo! Shawn helped me last weekend when I was at the store. He was exceptional. I was looking for a phone mount for my car and he helped me pick the best one based on my needs. In addition, he helped me sign up for a visa with Best Buy rewards. He was very energetic, but not artificial. I rarely go to Best Buy, Im not a technology person. But Ill find a way to stop in more often.

Best Buy in Reston,VA has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The store clerks are rude. They would not return headphones that I purchased with a 2 year geek squad warranty for full price because I was missing a micro USB charging cable. They wanted to charge me $15 for the missing 1 ft cable, half the price of the headphones. This cable costs about $2 on Amazon. The headphones stopped working in less than 4 months. They did not have the headphones in stock to give an exchange. They did not offer to locate an equivalent. The geek squad warranty was a total waste of money.

I have never had a worse experience with a store in my life. DO NOT order anything online for curbside pick up. There is a chance they will give your item away to someone else and leave you high and dry. I ordered a laptop for curbside pick up in May 2020 and when I went to pick it up, they told me they already gave it away. I needed this laptop for school that started the following week. I asked for help from the Manager, Folasike Oyinade and she told me calling the customer service line was the ONLY way I would be able to get help, which had a 3 hour wait time. She refused to make a report of the incident and began helping other customers. After countless hours of following up with customer service, they came to the conclusion that only the store would be able to help me. I am a healthcare provider that has been battling the pandemic with limited free time. The only “advice” I received from the customer service was to contact the authorities. I did not receive my item and was treated horribly the entire time. This is an internal conflict, I should be reimbursed immediately, but that is not what they think. Customer service told me my only option was to go back to the store and get the manager to report the incident. I went back to the store and even brought a copy of my work schedule signed by my supervisor proving I was at work when the item was picked up. I was turned away and was told to report to customer service AGAIN. I then called customer service while I was in the store and had them speak to the manager. They were saying opposing stories. The manager said customer service needed to help. Customer service said the manager needed to help. After this, they told me they would review the cameras and get back to me. The manager gave me her business card and I was told she would contact me after they reviewed the cameras the next day. I never received a call and I attempted to call the numbers she left on her card, but no answer. I left a voicemail ask to get back to me as soon as possible. After no getting a call back, I called into the store a few days later and was told the exact thing I’ve been told the whole time. “Report to customer service.” I have never been bullied by a business like this before and never expected it from Best Buy. I am not one to write reviews about companies, but because of the way I have been treated I have no choice. I ended up having to go to Target to buy a whole new laptop and I have paid double to cost of the laptop because of this. I still have not received help to this day. It’s been 2 and a half months now. I have never been this dissatisfied with customer service in my life and I am disgusted with how they treated me this whole time.

In short summary, I do NOT recommend purchasing a washer/dryer from Best Buy.My partner and I recently purchased a new washer/dryer set from the Best Buy in Reston, paid extra to have them installed. Unfortunately, the washer was not properly installed and is not fully functional. When we contacted Best Buy they refused to send anyone to check and instead insisted that it was an issue with the washer itself. They kept forwarding us to GMs customer service who informed us that it is in fact an installation issue, not a problem with the washer. We expected this as well because the people from Best Buy who installed the units said they had difficulty getting the water pipes connected. GM also told us that Best Buy will often refuse to help their customers and will often push their issues onto GM.Just wanted to share our experience, if you are looking to buy a new washer/dryer I would recommend buying from somewhere else.

The retail marketplace is struggling. Its difficult to find employees, and theres an uncertain future for them. People research online and check pricing in stores with lease and personnel costs. Best Buy did undergo a makeover years ago that slowed or reversed their decline, but the store is lifeless. We were looking for a printer and bought a multifunction color laser. Few shoppers mid-day on a holiday. It was sad.

Love this Best Buy. They truly believe in customer service. I was able to exchange my broken microwave even though I was past the 15 day policy. Every person I dealt with was really nice, and it was done in about 15 minutes. I expected to spend my whole day haggling for a little bit of credit, and they helped me out with everything. Even I cant believe Im saying this but Bestbuy has gotten great. After a few years among the walking dead of retail, it improved the quality of its staff and web site, then started matching online prices.Last year I bought their cheapest 4K TV to use as a third monitor over my desk. One day recently the screen went dark. I had ten days left on my one-year manufacturers (no extra charge) warranty. Geek Squad came to my house, pronounced it dead and told the local store, which had the same model in stock, to give me an even exchange.I carried it to the service counter (no line!) and she gave me a STORE CREDIT! I walked out with a new 4K TV which is seven inches bigger than what I had and $20.00 left over.Oh ...and a fresh one-year manufacturers warranty!

Its a Best BuyOrdered some headphones for pickup. The attendant was obviously new and did not know much about what he was doing. I nevertheless eventually got my item with help from a second person. Previous experiences with Best Buy have not always been smooth. It is a crapshoot that depends on who you get. There is 50/50 chance that things will go right. But they are the only game in town if you want to buy local, so we have to live with it.

I came in to the store on 12/26/2019. Within being in there less then a minute Maddie found me and assisted me as I was searching for a glass protector for my Samsung phone. She explained several options then introduced me to Yousif who gladly put the glass screen protector on after I bought it from her.Im not the most phone savvy so Ill definitely be here in the future for my phone accessory needs. Customer Service was horrible. Avoid this Best Buy if you can.3/5/19 - Your response is canned and untrue. You would never say that you dont desire to maintain friendly and attentive staff. The truth is your customer service were neither friendly or attentive. A staff of four personnel and not one exhibited any traits of being friendly or customer oriented. Your training program or standards are lacking. Instead of taking time to respond to me on google with a corporate reply, invest in training your personnel to smile, make eye contact, and care about customer service. I work in customer service and was appalled at how none of your employees in customer service demonstrated any traits resembling care for the customer.

Customer service is non existent. Bought a brand new Dell laptop that came with a charger that never worked, because I was traveling for work I couldnt take it in right away. When I took it finally they said I missed the return date by one day (14 day return policy) and that they couldnt help me so I could contact Dell directly. What a waste of time will never purchase anything from here again and then people wonder why stores are going out of service-this is why.

The worst Best Buy ever! Buying an iPhone from BestBuy was a mistake. The store rep told me that the iPhone was internationally unlocked but after checking with Best Buy customer service, found out that the iPhone was actually a locked one. Came to the Reston store to return the phone who were charging me a restocking fees. They were not willing to acknowledge there was a miscommunication on their part and asked me reach out to customer service for a refund.The store was more concerned about accepting a phone purchased on a different location due to their store taking a financial hit than accepting the fact that I was provided misleading information due to which I had to buy another unlocked phone. Why does the customer have to pay for their mistake? Telling the customer to reach out to the customer service rep which gave the wrong info and saying that this is not our issue is absurd. The customer service and you guys work for the same company in case you have forgotten. Finally since the store employees were not helpful, I had to call the customer service again who confirmed that the iPhone could only be used within the US and provided the refund and acknowledged their mistake for providing conflicting information. The so called Reston store folks who think they know everything about their products need to take some more training and stop providing wrong information.

Good luck getting someone on the phone. Over 10 minutes waiting and crickets. I have bought all my computers and several appliances there. They could at least do me the courtesy of answering the phone.

Came into the store and asked one of the associates if they had any gaming racing wheels. The guy proceeded to ask me what is a racing wheel while mocking me. Then he simply shrugged his shoulders and said we used to have one and went about his business. Thanks for the help buddy. Dont bother coming to this excuse for a Best Buy, the one in Sterling is far better.
