Lovely bookstore! Wonderful selection, wonderful staff. In the area on vacation and am glad I stumbled upon this gem of a bookstore.

Local bookstore with free local delivery to Reston, Herndon, & Sterling! I ordered online and within a few hours opened my front door and found my book hanging on the knob in a cute bag. Definitely a great business to support especially during the pandemic! Why give amazon all your money when you can get service this efficient and high quality

I was in town and staying at the Hyatt, I was looking for a book store and found this beauty! The book store is filled from floor to ceiling with books every where you look. Its a small but mighty place, I thought it was a long shot that they would have the Ta-Nehisi Coates book I wanted, how wrong I was. They had it and suggested another similar book, and I happily bought them both.If you live or work nearby they can order anything you may want, if they dont have it in stock. There is a great childrens nook, shirts for sale, and all sort of other goodies. I also love their name Scrawl, pretty cool.

Awesome bookstore. Loads of selection & very helpful staff. I walked in here looking for a gift for my 1 year old nephew & they searched for almost an hour to find what I was looking for in the shop & then ordered it for me online when it couldnt be found.I absolutely love this place!

This little independent bookstore is a book-lovers dream! Shelving that doesnt hit the ceiling, so you can see all the titles, but like any true hoarder of books, Scrawl Books doesnt contain its wares to shelves. They have books stacked in piles on the floor, laid horizontal across the tops of shelving (and even squeezed in in top of regularly lined shelves). The hand-drawn signage adds a touch of whimsy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, willing to help find (or order) just what youre looking for. They even have a book suggestion jar where you can take a title suggested by another patron or leave a suggestion of your own. When a bibliophile imagines the perfect bookstore, what theyre really picturing is Scrawl Books.

The help of the employees in this store was world class. Mr Leslie recommended a very good wine and help me to carry 6 bottles to the cash register.Thanks

One of the few independent bookstores in the area. They have some great events throughout the year.The bookstore hosted George the Monkey and that was fun for the kids.Lots of things to do nearby and having a bookstore in the middle of it all is awesome.

I love this locally owned bookstore. They have a lovingly curated collection - I never fail to find something to buy when I visit.

The store is hard to find, you have to walk around a loop to get a clue as to where even go. I suggest adding more signs.The books are clustered and not organized. Sections are missing signs. I came in specifically to find one book that was in stock according to the store website. It was not in stock.Waste of time, won’t visit again.

When you first walk in to Scrawl, you feel like youve stepped in to someone elses passion. The layout, the feel, the little kitchen in the back with cookbooks and other food related literature, and the ample kids section makes you feel that they love to read and want to you love reading, too. My wife and I went in to Scrawl with the intent to just look around, but both left with books that we couldnt do without once we saw them.Give your local book store a chance. Youll love Scrawl!

Great little independent bookstore which is unfortunately currently partially hidden by construction. The store is small, but clean, very well organized, and offers a great selection. I found three books that looked interesting, and settled on two... I needed a reason to make another trip back soon. 😉

I love this little place. Saw their little booth by the metro and looked to see if they had a bigger store. I love the small independent feel of the Reston store. Theyve got a great selection of new releases and specialty topics. The selection seems very well curated. Well be back!

Really lovely indie bookstore with a nice selection! They have a sign outside but you’ll need to go inside the ‘One Fountain Square’ labeled doorways to get to it inside. Great place to get a book to read then enjoy it out by the lovely Reston Towne Center fountain!😍📕

A wonderful independent local bookstore with a great selection. I often order books online and have them sent to Scrawl just to support the business over quasi-monopolies like Amazon.
