Strongly do not recommend coming here for computer repairs. I took my laptop in for a small repair, they first quoted me a week and a reasonable price to fix it. I called back in a week and they told me it would be another week. Long story short it took close to six weeks (during midterms). They never called to update me, I was always the one calling for an update. Not to mention when I did finally get my laptop it was double what they originally quoted me. There was a strong lack of communication, and lack of knowledge on how to actually repair my laptop efficiently. Overall, very displeased with the service I received.

Ive never used their computer services or bought an appliance from their shop, but I frequently order hardware parts through them for various appliances. They almost always can get what I need and in a timely manner. Their prices arent bad on these parts either. So if you are searching for parts for your appliances because you dont want to buy new... Check if they can order it for you!

Got Scammed!!! Took my computer in because it had a hard drive issue that I caused. Eventually they came back and said they couldnt fix the hard drive so they got me a new one and replaced it. They gave the old one back to me. This was 2 years ago. I recently got a hard drive dock and decided to just try the drive in it. It gave me access to all of my old information and allowed me to reformat it.... These guys do not know what they are doing at least with computers. Dont use them.

Pretty helpful people there. A little higher priced than some other places in town, but not the worst either. I rented a TV from them and it worked great.

I rented to own a computer that I found out later was worth about $300.00, and I paid them $900.00 over a year period. The computer I got was nice, but had a small flaw which they said could not be fixed, unless i could prove it was happening. This is absurd. If you take your car to a mechanic and tell them it is making strange sounds, they will run a diagnostic on it, find the problem and fix it, even if the car is not making the sound at the time of the repair. The same is true of computers. You dont need to demonstrate the problem, in order for the repair people to fix it. You just need to describe the problem, and then they will open the machine up, and find the issue. My personal opinion is that these folks do not have the skills necessary to do real, involved computer repairs, only light stuff like virus cleaning and minor cosmetic repair. If you want to rent a computer from these guys, I suggest that you rent it for one month, then take it to a computer expert for a diagnostic. then, if the expert finds something, take the computer and the diagnosis to El genes and have them repair it, or issue you a refund. I paid three times what my computer was worth and got virtually no support from them. Once, they even gave me a lesser computer, rather than fixing the one I really wanted and then had the nerve to charge me the same rent, for the less advanced computer. This is what i call a Mom and Pop place, and instead of trying to help or solve your problem, they get offended when you mention the issue to anyone in public, as if YOU are the one who is in the wrong. I say, buy a new computer and dont waste your time on rentals, you will enjoy the new computer much more.

Had the adapter we needed really didn’t want to go to Walmart cause it’s a zoo so we went here and the people are very nice.

These guys are fantastic, they really know their stuff. I have a small business, and I needed help with a network problem fast!! They were there within the hour and solved my problem at a VERY reasonable fee. Thanks El Genes! I was back up and running the same day...You are AWESOME!!

Their prices arent too competitive, but their service is outstanding. They were so willing to help and order the parts I needed for my dryer. They Id come here for any future appliance need.

I love El-Genes! When i moved into my new apartment, i was told by the internet company that i wasnt going to be able to run ethernet back into my office. Needless to say, i was bummed and was thinking that i was going to need to buy a wifi card. However, El-Genes recommended to me something called a power line adapter. They pointed it out to me on their shelves, and a year later, those things are still going strong! Love being able to have powerful ethernet back in my office despite what the internet company told me.

Dont buy any type of laptop from here unless your willing to pay the asking price and then another 200-300 for them to fix things that isnt wrong with it when it breaks. I bought a laptop from them and there is always something wrong with the wifi. I take it in and they fix something on it then in a month or 2 later it goes all downhill again and Im back at square 1. And its all problems with the laptops wifi. They havent fixed anything related to it and they keep changing or fixing everything else around that isnt wrong with it.

Had problems building a PC with it not starting up, they were all very helpful and fixed my problem the best they could. Thanks so much! Will be stopping by again.

Nice guy but they are too outdated. I took my wifes laptop there and asked them just look at it. Long story short, he didnt fix my wifes computer and tried to charge me for a new battery. I didnt pay for it and he was OK with that but he didnt seem to listen to anything i was saying. Now 1 week later my wifes computer crashed and needs to reinstall widows which will delete all our stuff in it. The owner said he had to install windows when i gave it to him originally when we have it to him which we never asked him to do. So this was a bad experience for us all around. Again he was a nice guy but kind of screwed us over.

They were always extremely helpful. Stuff to buy as well as repair shop. They do a range of services, internet setup, sound system installs for buildings and several others as well.

I will never shop with them again. I paid off my account in September and we got a notice saying the last payment was made in April and that I owed $800 There accounting department is unprofessional.Edit: they got things made right
