What a fantastic shop! Buying a new bike? They have suggestions to help you before your first ride and if you cant fit it in your car theyll help get it to you! Updating with accessories? Just a sec and theyll have it all installed while you wait! Want something they dont have? Theyll order it for you! Fixing/destroying your sons bmx brakes while trying to fix a chain? Drop it by and theyll have you fixed up in a jiffy! I LOVE THIS PLACE with an amazing atmosphere, help, prices, & EVERYTHING else why go anywhere else?! They put the pink handles and pedals on my old bike to informing, selling, and installing my new accessories in my brand new bike!!

Though it was closing time when we arrived (and we had expected that we would need to return the next day), Felipe Montiel welcomed us inside on our first visit to The Bike Shop, helped us to select all the items that we had come to purchase, arranged minor service for my daughters bicycle, and thoroughly answered all our questions. All the service exceeded our expectations, the products are of good qualityand Felipes expertise and passion for cycling are evident.

Huge bike shop. Even with the bike shortage, its very well stocked. Has a knowledgeable staff that will help you pick out the best bike for your needs. Ask for Louie. He helped us get some nice Trek Marlin 6 bikes. The store is full of anything you can think of, bike related. We came all the way from Louisiana to shop there.

Stopped by today looking for some race parts for one of my kids bikes, caught this old school Super Goose! One of the cleanest Ive seen in person in roughly 40 years!!!!

The Bike Shop did a tune up on my 3+ year old mountain bike recently and they did a great job! My bike was beautifully cleaned and works great! As good as new? I would say better than new! I took it to a well-known East Dallas shop last year for its tune-up, and I was unimpressed. The Bike Shop did a much better job and for a better price.

Loved this place. My daughters bike was having all sorts of trouble. Flat fee of $55 to fix everything on it. Small, friendly, independently owned. Great service and turn around time. Ill definitely be back.

Came by with my son’s bike which was in need of a repair to the chain. The bike was immediately checked over and, after about five minutes of adjustments and some oiling, we were good to go! Service was fast and the price was very affordable, we’ll definitely be back!

I bought a brand new electric bike online, so wanted to get it checked up, mainly because there was a rattling sound coming from the rear suspension. The store owner (Felipe) said that theyll take care of everything & that they will charge $90 for it. Even though that was a little steep for just checking the bike, I agreed to do it, as I wanted to make sure that the bike is alright to ride. Next day, I came to pick up the bike & the rattling sound was as is, no change. I told Felipe that sound was still there & asked him what exactly was done. He immediately became defensive & started saying that he checked the brakes, tyres, suspension, etc. & that the sound could be frame related & he cant do anything about it, so I honestly have no clue why the heck did I just paid him $90 for. This shop is an absolute ripoff & the owner is outright rude. I would personally never step foot again in this shop & would recommend you guys take your business elsewhere if you want fair service at fair prices.

Excellent work on 2 separate occasions tuning up my bike and making it look and feel like new! Both the price and turnaround time way better than the competition. Got my bike back in a few days, not weeks.A big deal when you ride daily. Highly recommend.

Me and my fiancé walked in with our kiddos to the shop. There was 2 employees, a middle aged man repairing bikes and a young female sitting at the desk and neither one of them acknowledged us or welcomed us in. We walked around and looked after being ignored when we walked in and said “how’s it going”. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We went in with full intentions to buy 2 bikes and 2 baby carrier trailers so we took our business to a cooperation. Try to help out a small local shop and that’s the turn out. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

I needed help getting a tire off the wheel (never had any problems before) and stopped by. A very pleasant gentleman got it loose in a few seconds and didnt charge me! Ill certainly be back when I need a repair or to see their inventory of new bikes.

Ive brought my bike in here a couple of times, the second of which I was having issues with the front derailleur. They had it fixed in 5 minutes. Definitely recommend, small shop with really good prices.

Took my sons bike up there to see why the hand brake wouldnt work. Guy told me it needed a new cable and it would be 2 weeks before they could get to it.So I told him Id install it.That sold me the one for the wrong side.Didnt notice until the following weekend when I went to install it. Of course I lost the receipt. This is the last time I waste my money at the bike shop.

Never been and just moved to the area... but great experience! I was helped within a reasonable time considering there was a line. Social distancing was is effect but that was more on the patrons to abide by as the two shop workers were FLYING to take care of everyone.Be friendly and patient as a customer because these guys are busy but with good reason!They were friendly and fast. He explained my needs and whether or not a big fix or tune up would be needed and if so, how many days/weeks he estimated. The shop is really organized too! 🥰🥰🥰But luckily I just needed air and a couple quick tweaks to my gears... after which he spent the extra few minutes to give the whole back wheel and gears a quick soapy scrub!10/10 will come back for anything I need, including after market items and retail.Fair pricing too! My minor 10-minute adjustment was cheaper than expected and got me road worthy again!

Wow I just left the Bike shop and I needed some basic repairs that I wasnt able to do myself and they fixed it in under 15 minutes and the price was extremely reasonable. Awesome place!!!!

Had an excellent experience here. I brought in my bike that hadnt been ridden in over 4 years. Dirty, flat tire, shifters were bad. Felipe, the owner, tuned it up, replaced the shifters, fixed the flat and made it look brand spankin new! $69 tune up and $36 for the shifters. Very fair! Ill definitely be back when I need something in the future. Thanks, Felipe!

Felipe worked on my Trek Emonda Dura Ace shifters and got them working when another shop said they had to be replaced. I have found him to be responsive, fair and trustworthy which is all you can ask for in a service business.

THIS, is an old school, we love what we do, honest to goodness, AWESOME bike shop!! I ride a bicycle as my sole mode of transportation. My commute to work, grocery shopping, everything. Went in just to ask some questions, and was in total awe of the service I received. This is only the second shop in THIS country that Ive been in, that truly gets it. My son was the customer, looking for a part for his mountain bike. They didnt have it, but the gentleman suggested a couple of options for us that most would not. Being a professional salesman myself, I was totally impressed with this young man. I would quickly hire him if I handled personnel.

I really liked this place until I wanted to make a return because a part didnt fit my bike. They wouldnt take it because I didnt have the original packaging. The owner is always on the phone when you walk into the store also. Never going again.

Wow. This is truly a local gem! Felipe was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about my bicycle, worked quickly and went above and beyond. This was way better than going to a larger chain. Service was customized and expert. Also loved the vibe of this place, with a modern sitting area and a sweet dog to bring cozy charm!

Felipe assembled my brand new ebike on the same day that I called and had it ready in a couple hours. I havent ridden a bike in 15 years and hes been good at explaining things. Ive been back a couple of times and hes always been great. I thought I had a problem with something after I accidentally banged up my bike a bit and he very quickly put it on the rack and inspected it while I was there. Ill definitely be giving them my business for the foreseeable future.

I was very impressed that Felipe was able to get my son’s bike done in a matter of 15 minutes. I didn’t need an appointment and he serviced my bike right away! He replaced the wheel and it costed $20. Overall, I paid $39 and it was the same day. I didn’t have to leave and come back, Felipe took care of me right away. I give the Bike Shop 5 stars and I will be back to bring my husband’s bike soon! Thank you Felipe, you made my day better!

They know bicycles. Fixed a flat tire tube within 15 minutes of drop off time and very reasonable price. The tube alone wouldve cost me $14 @ Walmart OR more if bought at Target.

Great, personable service at a fair price.EDIT: Picked up my bike after a tune up in worse shape than when I left it.Dropped it off, they said they fixed it. They didnt.Went to drop it off again and they just wanted to put a wrench to it while I waited. I said that I needed to go and that I wanted them to keep it and actually fix the issue. They wouldnt let me drop it off.They said they didnt want to work on my bike anymore because it has too many problems.

Let me be clear: The owner/manager of the shop is a great guy. He really knows his stuff, and on more than one occasion has helped me out at the last minute and worked around the precariousness of my being a commuter biker. Hes really, really awesome, and I love this little local shop.But this past week I had some issues. I needed some simple, immediate repairs, and someone there wouldnt even take a look at the bike. I mean, I get that theyre busy sometimes, but it wouldnt likely have taken more than 5 minutes to figure out what the issue was. Then, when I tried to bring the bike back on a Saturday, I called the day before and was told to just bring it in whenever I liked. Okay, I thought to myself. I showed up Saturday just a few minutes after twelve and waited until 1:30... and no one was there, even though the store hours listed them as being open from 9-5. Lights on, whole shebang, but no service. It found it really surprising from a company that had helped me so much.Overall, if you can get service here, is fantastic. Its just been rather inconsistent for me lately.

I have used this place for a number of years. It changed owners within the last year and the prices and work have remained both reasonable and prompt. The owner is an avid cyclist and has changed the inventory to a more simplified, less cluttered collection. It feels more curated. The bikes for sale seem like high quality brands at the mid-range and higher price points. Essentially, you wont see any brands for sale here that you could get at Target or Walmart. Their reliability and prompt, reasonable repairs will keep my family coming back.

Awesome. Just awesome. Dropped off two bikes with one not in very great shape and go them back less than 48 hours later in fantastic condition. My gears now are shifting smooth as butter. The staff there really knows there stuff and are great to talk to. The owner has been in the bike business for over 35 years! I am new to the Dallas area and I have found my bike shop.

UPDATE! EDIT! I GAVE ALL FIVE STARS LAST WEEK!I went back over the weekend and a young man who is not mature to do customer service made me walk right out because of the state of mind was in. He might of had a bad day or been high i dont know but I left.FIRST REVIEW! At first I wasnt impressed with the layout of the store because there are many bikes and the carpet is not great to have in a bike shop. I thought all those bike were for sale. Turns out those were mostly repairs and when guy came up to me and made me feel welcome and apologized due to slim Pickings, because the weather has been very nice and he was a very kind, genuine guy who actually cares about people and their safety. I think he was the assistant manager or something. I did find a bike I liked and got a great deal and there was no pressure at all. Most importantly was the service and that was outstanding. Also all those bikes that are repaired or fixed there goes to shoe that their mechanical repairs are equal to their above and beyond service. thank you both.

Not sure why this place has such great rating, I dropped off my mountain bike for some simple repairs and its 10 days past the date promised. Called during normal business hours to find out the status and low and behold nobody is in the shop. Will be retrieving my bike fixed or not...very unsatisfied!

We found this bike repair shop on Saturday morning after visiting another one in Plano, that could not even get to our 3 wheel therapeutic trike until June 30th, due to the busy season. We called The Bike Shop in Richardson on the way and spoke to an elderly gentleman, who said they could look at the trike and they had 2 mechanics on staff. We went into the shop with the trike and they said, initially the bar that connects the front wheel to the rear 2 wheels needs to be welded due to a wobbly stem/rod, but when you have that done, give me a call, bring it in and I will get it done. They even recommended a place to have it welded, Wallis Welding in Garland. We called the welder, they said bring the 3 wheeler in and they would look at it. We did that, and they welded it that day ($15). We took the trike back to the bike shop, called them on the way, and when we got there, the mechanic said, let me take this panel apart and see what we are looking at and I will get you an estimate on how long it will take and how much it might cost. We walked around the store looking at bikes, we had our daughter with us, as this was her bike, and she always wants to ride anything. While we were there, another customer came in with a pedal/crank issue, and they fixed their bike right then and there. My husband and daughter went outside to look at firetrucks that went by, and before you knew it, the mechanic had fixed our bike ($10) We highly recommend this bike shop to anyone needing repairs or looking for bikes. Our daughter was able to ride that evening. What a great way to start off the summer.

I went to this shop for a repair. The guy convinced me it was the bike pedal system and replaced it for $60+. When I confronted him saying there was no difference and the problem still persists, he claimed he had no idea where the sound was coming from. Better go to a different store with people with more expertise or knowledge.

I havent been here in years I bought multiple bikes from this store the staff and the owner were always very very helpful and friendly the store has changed a lot since my last visit in 2010 or 2011 while on a organized bike ride I destroyed my helmet in a bike crash. I called the bike shop told them what helmet I had. Pay for it over the phone and had someone pick it up and met me on the road. So that I could continue my ride I still have that helmet thanks bike shop.

I came in today with a flat tire on my wifes bike. I was in and out in 20 minutes for a very reasonable price. He even took time to show me how a defect in her rim caused the tube to be punctured, as well as how he was going to fix the defect. Fantastic service!

Tony was very friendly and knowledgeable about my bike with an internally geared hub and belt drive. His $60.00 tune up service is a deal for all the labor and expertise required for higher end bikes. Love this place and while RBM is definitely flashier and bigger but also more expensive with less value. I will definitely be coming here for all my familys needs. Support your local bike shop!
