This is a very traditional Middle Eastern (Syrian) restaurant. It is run very much like one from the Middle East. Although they have dine-in seating, this place really wants to be a to-go only one. This is seen in their scarce & sporadic countertop & shelf inventory throughout the restaurant.Their focus on customer service stops after you put in your order at the register. If your food is late coming out, despite calling ahead, very little apology is offered. And no concessions. You stand there and wait with very little chit chat.The food quality, however, is amazing. The portions are just right for the price; perhaps even a little generous ... As it should be for the culture.I have yet to try their shawarma sandwiches. Why? They are almost always out in the evening. Their shish-tawwuq plate (chunks of chicken pictured) was pretty good. I highly recommend it. Their lahma bi-ajeen (roughly translated to meat and dough), which is the round 6-in diameter picture below, is pretty light and filling. A household favorite is their Turkish Pizza; which is the long meat and cheese cut up boat in the picture below. And finally, their cheese pies (two small cheese boats in the picture) are pretty good at $1.49 each; and more importantly, rival any akawi pie you can get in the area.I have had the accidental pleasure of having breakfast at this place. Again, their customer service was weak, and Im being nice. But the food was like having breakfast at my aunts place in the Middle East.Normally, this place would be 3.5 stars at best. In reality, they are 4.25 stars carried heavily by the quality and uniqueness of the food ... Until someone else does it better.

An amazing place to enjoy a homemade-quality food. The key to this quality is freshness of the ingredients. Their fresh salad is really rare to be find at any other restaurant.

Went here for a late lunch today..... restaurant is well maintained and sanitized.... courteous staff .... Since relocating from MA to DFW weve been looking for a bakery that has cheese pies, meat pies etc. Weve finally found our bakery of choice. We dined here several weeks ago and the food here is excellent and very tasty. This is a scratch kitchen so it takes a little bit of time for the food to come out. The wait is worth it for the piping hot cheese and meat pies. We would definitely return to try other dishes other than cheese/meat pies.

They have manaqeesh chease, zaatar, ground meat. They also have shawarma meat and chicken. I liked the fulafel and the kabab.It is worth the try.Maybe nex time ill try the rice with chicken.

The food you can’t complain it was very tasteful and fresh. The food took about 30 minutes to get ready for some falafel and hummus.... and the lady taking the order seemed in a kind of mood. It would be nice to have a little smile and maybe a thank you at least as I’m walking out.

The best authentic Syrian food hands down !Ive had chicken shawerma (arabic style) and 5 different fatayer plates. Ive waited around 15 mins and it definitely worth it. I highly recommend zDAR Food.

Place looked empty, I was a bit skeptical on trying it out. Thanks to the young lady that welcomed us, I decided to give it a shot. Thank God I did! Food was deff made with love and its authentic. We had 7 ppl, sat outside and had a 2 hour breakfast. Great food, great atmosphere that brought people together for great conversations and a good time. We shared bunch of small plates Mediterranean style with bread and tea! The FETEH is amazing!!! Tea took a long time but I forgive you, the food an experience made up for it. The pastries stood out as well, they were delicious. Finally, we fed 7 ppl for 60$ and didn’t even have room for dessert. I would deff visit this place again and mainly for a huge ball of Feteh 😋

Food is good, but there is an old lady who has an attitude. She told us to leave the place when we were dining just for being nine minutes late after closing. Also, their exhaust fans were off, and we could barely breathe. Dont give them the business till they become well behaved.

Zdar’s manaeshe before were delicious, now they changed the pita of the manoushe, its not good like before !! Please do the old type of manoushe!

I often buy several meals for the week here. Usually one of their pizzas or wraps along with some pre packaged excellent meals. Incredibly helpful staff, excellent selection and always fresh and delicious. Theyll let you try anything as well! The staff is great at making recommendations as well based on what you like.

None of the employees here wore mask nor glove to comply with COVID-19 state law. There were about 5-7 employees, family of 4 were eating on the table including two kids, 1 customer in line & myself. One of the girl ( employee) used spit out of her mouth to open up the the plastic bag to insert food for carry out customer. We also have observed that they have served to to the a family on the table without mask several times.I went pick up my food & question why there in Heath First sign by the door & on glass by the cook. She start lying that they have been wearing it. When I said I have video & picture she & her colleagues started arguments instead of apology for failure to follow the law. If the camera inside of the store works, it can be prooven what I have observed. Two of girls (employees) were smoking just by the door outside when we enter the restaurant, which didn’t bother me till noticed no mask, no gloves. They were eating, texting, talking on phone, making food all at the same time like this would have been a normal environment. This cannot happen to a public place when the whole world is in danger. They are not just putting themself in danger, but us too as customer. I have picture & video if anyone willing to challenge my allegation. Some of the employees started getting their mask during my complain & tried to proof that they have mask. They shouldn’t be in the business if they can’t follow the most important safety protocol.

Today I did order food to all the office team after an hour told us sorry we are late because we are cleaning the grill . I dont they telling the truth because no one will clean his grill or any equipment in the mid of day. This is not first time they always behind and you have to wait more than 40 minutes . The restaurant is clean. The lady working behind the counter was friendly and helpful. My husband and I ordered lunch - both of us got the beef kofta plates (beef was hot and fresh, the salad that came with it was great, but the rice was cold in the middle...like it was made the day before and heated up). We also ordered the falafel plate, it took a little longer because they had to be made and cooked, but it was worth it!

Loyal customer since 2016. Quality in food is always amazing and flavorful. The restaurant has undergone through new management, but do not let that discourage you . The Customer service and food quality along with taste is still on deniably sensational.

Awesome place! It is very, no extremely, well organized and neat! Their selection of Mediterranean food items is amazing, and their prices are very reasonable. Their fresh cooked when you order pastries are extremely delicious! I highly recommend the spinach pastries, and the meat ones are really good if you dont mind them being really oily. There is a long wait for pastries, but it is definitely worth it. I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially for Arabs/Middle-Easterners who are tired of going to nearby places and getting ripped off.

I had really bad experience they don’t respect their customers . I walked in and they lady was on the phone for almost 15 minutes then I ordered my food and I had to wait for 40 minutes to get a sandwich. Definitely I’m not coming back again.
