August 5th 2017 I used safe lite to replace my window and they came to my home with an already cracked windshield and had to take money off of installation due to me traveling across country. Fast forward to today and I took my brand new vehicle in (upon my previous experience and others) and I am now driving a brand new vehicle with ZERO safety features because they ordered the wrong windshield. I spoke with the manager of this location, not only did she continue to speak over me- she offered me the measly value of $150 (while already running a $25 off PROMO) off of a $1200 windshield, so not only did I waste an entire Saturday, they ordered the wrong part (which the new CORRECT windshield is TBD because of it being back ordered), they are incredibly unprofessional. I advise anyone that is seeking windshield repairs to opt other options or just take it in to your dealer. Convenience sometimes is not worth a partially completed job.
Windows was put in in a quickly manner. But as I was driving to work that night the rearview mirror came loose. They didnt secure the rear view mirror to the windshield correctly. Since it was the 4th of July holiday and they will be closed for 3 days I had to go to advance Auto and buy kit to secure the rear view mirror to the windshield. It cost me $11 and I will be looking to be reimbursed thank you.
They may can fix windshields, but does NOT know how to recalibrate windshields as I sit here to get it recalibrate correctly another customer walks in with the same problem. $900 l paid out of pocket and my time back at 9am on a Saturday morning. Never AGAIN, YOU HAVE LOST MY BUISNESS!!!!!
Quote was more than double next highest quote out of 10 known shops. Satellite wanted 495 . next to highest was 220. I played 180 for the exact same windshield with a warranty.
The technician, William, was sent out to replace the rear quarter glass on my Hyundai. He called me to confirm the appointment time/window, and let me know that he was on his way, called me when he got here, finished everything quickly, and was a nice guy throughout the process.Very happy with the service, and glad my car is whole again!
We been using safelite for years. Last couple windshields at this Richmond location. Always on time, courteous and good service. Hope we dont see them soon again 😂, but if we need too, we are definitely going back
Unfortunately Ive used them 3 times in less than 2 years. They are great.
If I could give this company a negative star I would. I had my windshield replaced and I was dissatisfied with a number of things:1. The glue that held the windshield in place was just oozing on the corners inside the car, I called and they sent a so-called specialist who came with a razor blade to scrape the excess glue off, ended up scratching the glass. And my rear view mirror is loose and shaking.2. They replaced the windshield with an off brand even though I specifically told them I wanted it replaced with OEM, this glass is hazy and fogs up when my AC is turned on, when it rains and you can barely see at nights.3. I called and they told me that the insurance company (Travelers insurance) don’t want them to replace with OEM because it cost more, so between safelite customer service and Travelers insurance rep on the phone, I was transferred, call dropped and on hold for over an hour at a time.The conclusion is they gave me the run around and I still have the same issue.Stay away from safelite and travelers insurance.
Safelite did an awesome job replacing the windshield in my 2021 Tacoma. Within 2 hours I had my truck back and I would definitely use them again.

Excellent service they keep you informed through the whole process of replacing your glass. They even vacuum the floor of your vehicle for you. Then when its finished theyre outside with you as you get ready to leave if you have any questions.
I do not recommend this firm. I had an appointment, left my car only to have them not do the work because the did not have a part (they told me it was done when I called about pick-up). A lot of wasted time on my part. They rescheduled me to come back, only to tell me when I came in that they did not know when they could get to it or how long it would take. I will never use them again.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Simple windshield replacement and recalibration and they were incapable of recalibrating. Rather than admitting defeat and referring me to the proper location to handle the work, they had me come back on 3 separate occasions. On one of those occasions, they drove my car around town for several hours attempting to recalibrate, resulting in an empty gas tank (nearly $30-40 worth of gas) that they made no effort whatsoever to rectify. Additionally, they were subpar each time with giving me updates or informing me of the situation. My vehicle’s manufacturer (Subaru) said that recalibration issues can take place if the windshield that is installed is not the proper match or up to the vehicles standards, and that is what the issue was here. A quick appointment at the dealership fixed everything.In summary, don’t just resort to Safelite because your insurance provider leads you there. A majority of local windshield vendors will work with your insurance company and install the right product and make sure you’re taken care of. Avoid Safelite, and this particular branch, if at all possible.
3 times I was called and told they would come to me to replace my windshield and calibrate my blind sidd/land assist, a required product for $350 more. My appointment was for 8 am. No one showed up no one called. I called, by the way you cannot call the local shop, I was told my car needed to be taken in. Because I could not call the local shop I had to drive there. Was told it would take 3 hours. Luckily someone was able to get me back to work and back to there shop. Who never called me to tell me my car was ready. They were not going to charge me the extra 350 because they forgot about it. I had to tell them i owed it. This is a mickey mouse organization that relays on insurance companies. Try to go elsewhere.
They didn’t have my replacement windshield ordered on my scheduled appointment date, and the receptionist unapologetically made me reschedule. I came for that appointment and she told me that we’d scheduled for the following day and that I would have to come back. I came for a THIRD time and got an email clearly saying the work was complete, and Stephanie again told me it wasn’t ready. I waited for an additional 45 minutes. This should have been a simple process and instead it was drawn out and the receptionist was rude.
I dropped it off the night before and my windshield was replaced by the end if day. They also calibrated cameras and sensors. So far so good.
The first time that Safelite replaced my windshield the service was excellent. This time, not so much. The tech never even notified me that he was at my home, he left tape on my vehicle and trash and molding in my driveway. I will NEVER use Safelite again. If I need auto glass, Im taking it to the dealer and my insurance company (Allstate) can eat it.
Communications were clear and accurate. The technician that worked on my car was personable and confidence inspiring. The service was completed correctly, and an hour ahead of the estimated time.

They are the worst they are not professional at all. They dont care if your window is fixed.They didnt have my glass on the truck 45mins before it was time to put my glass in. I was told what you want me to make a glass. Know one called to see was my glassed fixed. And know one called to apologize for not having my glass or for the smart remarks.

I made my appointment on their website two weeks in advance. I entered my insurance information and their site said they would notify me of any delay or issues. I took the day off to bring my vehicle in, and after waiting for a couple minutes the tech came out and asked me if I made an insurance claim. I told him no because their site said they would handle it and I wasnt notified of any issues. They had plenty of time to contact me prior to my appointment to have me do the insurance portion even in the morning before my appointment. It took me a whole 5 minutes to get my claim processed but instead they turned me away making me waste my day off. I lost time and money over this company not simply making phone calls. Your customer service sucks.

I was able to schedule an appointment for windshield replacement here via my auto insurance. I have used Safelite several times in the past where they have come to my home or job. On the day they were scheduled to come my home was when we got a lot of rain and heavy winds from Hurricane Zeta. I ended up at the local Safelite to get my windshield replaced. Just as I arrive, it stops raining and the sun comes out. All went well, it took about 1.5 hours to get it replaced. Things work out for the best because the technician that was coming to my home to replace the windshield had the wrong one on their truck.Things to be aware of when coming here is that masks are to be worn, BUT its not enforced as people had masks down and/or not wearing them properly. The seating isnt socially distanced. I recommend bringing a foldable chair and sitting outside. While staff wore masks, the masks werent worn properly.Yes, I do recommend Safelite. I will use them again if I should need to do so.
Incredible service! They repaired a huge crack in my windshield that I thought would result in it having to be replaced. They were extremely kind and even vacuumed and wiped my car down. I highly recommend them for any glass work!
I dont normally give bad reviews, Look at my history but I had to get this out there because even ownership doesnt care.. No one answers, its automated and they tell you to go to the national website. Call around, you can find windshields installed 50% cheaper. Look at the response from the owner, even they dont care.

Just want to thank Safelite for their superior honesty with the technician, Joshua that came out to my house today. I would have sworn I had a small micro chip in the windshield but upon looking closely at the glass the technician saw it was not a chip and cleaned the spot of glue off which truly glittered in the sun as if it were a small hole. We dont see this kind of service these days with so many companies competing against each other and to know they still exist is more reason to spread the word about them. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs glass work done on their auto.

Initial installing went fine and I was able to schedule on the phone speaking with someone. A DAY later, I Noticed another chip in my windshield. This time NOBODY would answer the phone so I had to book online for them to come to me to evaluate to chip. The guy tells me that it’s an additional $165 to fill it because new chips aren’t included in the warranty. I was assuming sealing the chip would be covered since it was repaired not even 48 hours prior.I get the appointment schedule for a Thursday (with the safe life technician) and nobody shows up and won’t answer my calls. Overpriced and terrible communication skills. The only reason why I’m giving them 2 starts is because it was easy to set up an appointment online and convenient for the to come to my job for the windshield replacement.
Replaced my windshield. It leaked. I came back, they reinstalled it. Then I had to come back because they didnt have the flare that went on top. Came back a third time to have the top molding installed. They left black glue all over the newly installed piece. Keep in mind I live an hour and fifteen minutes away. Why would you not have the molding on hand when I came back to get the leak repaired? Why... because they were just going to squirt some glue where they thought it was going to leak, they had no intention of redoing the job. Horrible experience except for the people were friendly. Props for that

I removed my review initially in hopes that the manager would actually take responsibility for their workmanship, and then he commented here. So heres my review. Got my windshield replaced on the 20th of August. The team was super communicative and even called me during the installation to ask how I was enjoying the service. I happily picked up the car on the 21st and figured my car was fine.After walking out of work on Friday the 23rd, I found a huge pool of about 3 inches of water leaking from the side of my car door into the passengers side floor, and had water coming in by the cabin lights and the drivers side top of the door. Water was pouring onto me during my drive home on 95, causing me to have to pull over and call Safelite. They had installed my windshield and rainchannel incorrectly and now it was essentially raining inside my car.I was told they could schedule a repair of their faulty installation on Thursday, or they could come to my house Tuesday, neither of which would be optimal since I dont have a garage or dry, covered place to store my car.I brought my car in the following day on a Saturday and explained that I was worried I may have water damage in my vehicle, and they quickly and hurriedly took my car keys and told me they would fix the windshield. I saw the manager there who told me he would speak to me that night when I picked up the car. He didnt show back up that day when i picked up the car after it had been fixed, and I was then told, after calling multiple times, Id have to get in contact with him about the water damage on Monday.I called them on Monday and they told me that they could send someone from a mobile detailing company come over to inspect my car and vaccum and clean it, even though a full week had almost passed since the water had leaked into my vehicle.Safelite didnt care about my safety or well-being, and they sure didnt care about potential water damage in my car seeing as how they wanted to push off that responsibility to someone else. Im not sure what may be damaged in my car and I know that the legalese Safelite uses allows them to skirt all responsibility to do so. Personally, I want my money back. The fact that a company that installs windshields as their main form of business happened to mess up so badly speaks for itself, I will only use local small shops from now on. The fact that I had amazing communication up until the point that Safelite made a mistake also proves to me how little they were interested in solving my potential water-damage issue. I dont even want the cleaning service offered to me almost a full week after my car was damaged, as there is probably no use to have them come in at this point. The damage has been done. Just look at the owners responses to anyone elses issues: Sorry to hear about that, well make sure to prevent it in the future. Avoid this sketchy company at all costs.

Had to get some repair work done on my windshield today and when I was pulling out of the parking lot I rolled over a screw (not affiliated with safe lite) and pulled back in to safe lite’s parking lot when I felt the wobble of my tire. The manager came out with a tire patch kit and helped me right there! Wow! Thank you guys!
A red headed man in his 20-30’s with a beard ran me off the road on I95 at the 301 on ramp while in a Safelite auto glass van. The van’s license plate number was WNS-8910 . He was a good safe distance behind me when I was entering the highway. The car in front of me merged and as I was merging with my turn signal on he visibly accelerated from about 3 car length back to try to stop me. I had to come to a complete stop because there was road work on the shoulder in front of the merge lane. He clearly was being reckless and or was actually not aware of his surroundings.I’m putting this complaint here in the reviews because I tried to call the company directly. All I found on the phone was a recording that says due to covid-19 they cannot take the call at this time and the website wouldn’t post my review.
Was a little disappointed their service in my rural area was so limited but was able to set up a visit to get me windshield replaced. My F-150 is a complicated install and they told me that up front. The install itself went well and the windshield is performing.

**Unprofessional** scheduled an appointment for a technician to come to my house and fix my windshield and they never came. They sent me a text and a email confirmation that they were coming and never did. I tried called them and i was on hold for over an hour. My wife talked to a representative through the text and they said someone will get in contact soon and no one ever did.
Misquoted and rescheduled twice. Auto glass now is $300 cheaper. Pretty cruddy company

Picked up keys since my other driver works overnights and was sleeping. When I picked up my Wrangler it was left unsecured, neither driver or passenger door was locked.
Even though Safelite did not repair my car window because there was more damage than thought, they were really helpful and communicative about the issue. They could have fixed it, but advised another route because of the high cost for them to do it. They even cleaned the interior of my car and made a makeshift window for me for no charge. Thanks again.
The overall experience was good. The initial installation at my driveway left some minor issues. I dove to the store and got it fixed immediately. I was impressed that one issue I forgot to point out in the store was also fixed when I recalled the problem and checked for it again later.
Satellite AutoGlass at the Rosedale Ave RVA 23230 provided excellent service. The appointment was made through my insurance company, Allstate; and the process was smooth and seamless. My welcoming technician Robert, was courteous and answered my questions knowledgeably. The repair process was completed in roughly thirty minutes. Yes, I would be willing to return to this location as well as recommend it to family and friends.

Shady, shady, shady! Safelite is owned by Nationwide, and quoted my windshield replacement $277 more than another vendor. They have access to my policy, knew my deductible and conveniently quoted it just under my deductible. BEWARE.

Great clear OEM glass. The gentleman did take 4 hours to perform what was supposed to be a 1 hour job, so from my experience, it was bad. They still took the same price and offered no discount at all, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the waiting lobby is nice and clean, while the wait time for me ended up being longer than expected which took a great impact on the experience for me. If the timing wasnt so awful, I would give this place 4 stars, but since it did, Im leaving one star.
I wont bother with them again.The first time they replaced my windshield, they dropped the glass on my car, causing damage. They did take responsibility and paid to have it repair but it was a hassle.The second time I needed to replace a windshield, I scheduled a mobile service. They called 10 minutes before they were suppose to be here to reschedule my appointment - 8 days later. I had already waited a week for the service. Super frustrating.
I scheduled an appointment in Richmond VA, a week ago to repair a crack that keeps growing. My car is unsafe to drive. Today the weather is beautiful, but at the last minute they called me to cancel. They wanted to reschedule for Saturday, which is rain and snow. I cancelled the appointment. They seem to me its all about them and not the customers inconvenience or situation of their vehicle safety. They were courteous so I give them a 2.
Dont bother with the on-line appointment. I tried it and gave me a three day wait.Stop in and ask if they can help. They were willing and able to get it done on the spot.
A year ago I went here to have my windshield replaced. When I got there they realized they ordered the wrong windshield so I had to come back on a later date later after they ordered the correct windshield.I needed my windshield replaced again today and I went to the same location.They made the SAME MISTAKE and ordered the wrong windshield again. Once is a mistake, twice is a pattern of incompetence. For a company that specializes in windshields they dont seem to know much about them.Ive contacted another company who is ordering the correct windshield and quoted me less money for installation. Ill never go here again and would give SafeLite 0 stars if I could.
I had 2 combination bulls eye/star cracks which were right next to each other on my windshield. They were a few inches below line of sight, so I was nervous that a) it would spider even more b) I would have to pay for a full windshield since it might not be repairable. Within 30 minutes, they had my crack fixed up, and I cant even see it while driving. There are only a few backdrops where Im actually able to see it, but theyre never distracting while driving. It has been a few weeks since the repair, and everythings holding up great!

The Richmond Virginia office is terrible. I had a windshield changed in my car a while back and the guy put my mirror on wrong causing it to fall off while I was driving. I fixed it myself and was willing to over look it as a mistake. This time around however has been unacceptable, 9 days ago I had the app to schedule an install, i then proceeded to wash my truck while I was waiting so that it would be better for the installer. Two hours later I received a message saying that the app should have never let me set the appointment, I understood and reset it for that Saturday. I used another vehicle and left my truck home all day, never heard from safelight. Somehow the appointment got pushed to today (the next Saturday) this was inconvenient because I work every other Saturday. Not wanting to wait three weeks for a windshield I borrowed a car and again left my truck at home. Early in the morning the tech called me saying that he was going to be after 12:30 (8-12 appointment time), I could tell by the way he was asking that he was trying to get me to reschedule. I explained that it was going to make things harder but that I had to have it done and had been waiting for two weekends. A couple hours later he calls me and leaves a message telling me that he could not come for medical reasons and to call the office. All the office wanted to tell me was about how the tech was sick not how they were going to fix my windshield. I understand things can happen but I dont believe for a second he was sick, even if he was how do I get to the bottom of the list when youve already put me off two other times in the first place. I know that they knew they were in there wrong initially because they gave me $50 off. Why was I not the first job this morning, or at least switched to another tech. It blows my mind that they didnt make some effort to reschedule another job instead of the one that they already messed up on. Ive wasted hours washing a truck and waiting and now have had two entire Saturdays without my truck/ borrowing other vehicles all to wait until next week for me refund so that I can try to find a company that cares more about the schedule that they make with their customers than the plans they make for Saturday.PS. Wether or not the rep is sick is none of my business. I recommend telling whoever is answering your phones that his job is take care of the customer and solve the scheduling issue, not argue with the customer about how sick the tech is.

Safelite is incredibly professional, efficient, and friendly! The mobile technician, Robert, came out to my office to install my new windshield while I was working. He called me before arriving, and when he got there. I met him outside in the parking lot where he introduced himself to me and explained the process and how long it would take. He then called me a short while later to let me know that he had finished, when I came outside he went over all of the paperwork with me and made sure that I was satisfied with the job well done. It wasnt until later that day when I left work when I noticed just how amazing this service was. I got into my car and it smelled wonderful, the carpets and seats were vacuumed, the windshield and windows were clean, everything looked great. He even reattached my EZ-Pass with new Velcro! I am so happy with my experience, the quality of work and professionalism. I will definitely be using this company anytime I need glass service. I highly recommend Safelite!

My service technician was awesome. He literally came to my work, (which is in a parking deck and a real hassle getting in and out of) two times within a week due to my windshield getting hit twice within a week. He was very patient while I came down to meet him and get my car moved in the designated area by the parking company. He was very friendly and polite. He did a great job explaining how to care for the glass and cleaned my windshield when he was done. Top notch service from him!
I had two windshields done within a month (separate vehicles). Both were pleasant experiences. One in the shop and one at my home. Appointments are easily scheduled online and the techs were friendly and communicative.

I had an appointment on Thursday scheduled four days in advance. The day of my appointment an hour before they were supposed to be there I get a phone call from a rude employee saying they needed to reschedule, the tech “was running late” no apology from the woman on the phone, and she was blatantly rude. She couldn’t reschedule me until a week out from my appointment. I called back and spoke with another woman stating I was unhappy I had to wait an entire week again. She asked if they could come out Monday, instead of waiting until the next Thursday, I said yes. Well, Monday rolls around, I call Safelite to confirm my appointment for that day, they tell me I don’t have an appt and that it’s set for Thursday. I explained that I spoke with a woman on the phone and it was to be today. He was completely helpless. I told him I was taking my service elsewhere, this was completely unreliable and unprofessional from a business. I won’t be using Safelite again.
Sam, from Safelite contacted me and informed me of his ETA. Once he arrived he was very Professional and did an evaluation of my vehicle and explained the process. Before i knew it He was done. I was very pleased with his performance. Not only would i recommend safelite but i would recommend Sam as their tech. Thank you for a Job well done.
I had a window replaced and it didn’t work right but they worked until it was fixed. Thank you so much for making it right!
Apparently they dont know how to properly seal a windhshield, first trip through a car wash 2 weeks after getting my windshield replaced my dashboard got flooded, definitely recommend avoiding!!
I have to get windshield repaired. Previous experience, they have been great.

I also want to thank Safelite Corporate for being highly professional in helping the process be smooth with no hiccups whatsoever from start to finish. I am in the automobile industry myself and will now highly recommend Safelite.
If I could do a negative star review this would be it. I had a small chip on my windshield which should have been an easy repair - I had the same issue with my last car which was fixed easily. Instead of filling in this little chip he caused a crack on half my windshield so now I’ll have to pay to get the whole thing replaced. I don’t know if the technician was inexperienced (his names Ian for future reference) or if this is a new gimmick by the company in order to get money from customers. When he told me he cracked my windshield and asked if I wanted to schedule a repair with them, he wasn’t even apologetic. Why would I want you to do more work on my car when you damaged it in 20 minutes?? I contacted support which was even more of a joke. Just be warned and maybe stay with local shops.
Loved my experience with the service of my windshield getting replaced and my tech Rashaad. Would use them again and refer to friends.I used the mobile service. Easy, convenient, fast, and I was able to get everything done before my vacation and manage times of service and updates online.
