Bridal Elegance went above and beyond to make my dress shopping experience as easy as possible! I went to David’s Bridal first and did not have any luck finding a dress and unhappy with the poor customer service. I then called Bridal Elegance to see if I could come in (without an appointment during Covid) and they welcomed my mom, sister, and I in with open arms!Kristi, the owner catered to us and did a fantastic job locating the perfect dress for me. She was the only one working in her boutique during the months leading up to my wedding and she was able to communicate efficiently with me during the entire process. She even made it to both of my alteration appointments.I know firsthand Covid has put all business to the ultimate test and Kristi did an outstanding job providing me with excellent customer service and even showing me compassion days leading up to my wedding and after. I would not recommend Bridal Elegance to my worst enemy. I called to set an initial appointment and the owner was very rude and short. She did not want to answer my questions and stated that was how she ran her business when asked about appointment times and days. The second encounter with her to reschedule she was nasty, stating she didn’t reschedule appointments not even asking what happened. She was very unprofessional not allowing me a moment to explain nor reschedule. She seems to dislike being questioned or passionate about catering to brides. This has been my worst experience in life. This is not how she should treat customers I will be taking my business elsewhere. I do not recommend this place of business she has horrible customer service.

While I personally was not a customer at this store (thankfully), I had the unfortunate experience of watching my best friend be bullied and disrespected by the owner of this shop. She was rude, unwelcoming and treated her as if she did not matter. She eventually pushed the bride to the point of tears because she was so upset and shocked by how disinterested the owner was in her and her shopping experience. As a formal bridal boutique employee, I recognize the importance of making every bride feel special and excited about the entire dress shopping experience. If good customer service (not even outstanding, just general kindness) is important to you, Id skip this shop when looking for your dress. Buying a wedding dress is equal parts exciting and nerve-wracking. People deserve to feel like they can trust the person who sells them their (expensive) dress. Kristi, the owner, is not one of those people. When this review is read, I hope that Kristi will reflect on how this behavior can really damage a significant part of someones wedding planning experience. There are ways to improve this behavior, and I hope they do before another bride has the same terrible experience.

I wanted to give Bridal Elegance a good review - I really did. My initial experience purchasing the dress was great. However, I was told my dress would fit length wise and it didn’t by any means when I went back to try it on. I was then told it was too late to order additional fabric before my big day and that my dress would just be (very apparently) short. I pleaded with them to see if anything could be done and they ended up consulting with an outside alterations consultant who was fabulous. She said all they needed to do was add additional steam to the fabric to help the dress breath and she pulled the dress gently as she did this to make the dress stretch longer. She was right and the length issue was resolved! The owner of Bridal Elegance asked the alterations consultant what her cost was for fixing my dress (right in front of me mind you) and the woman responded- no cost it was just a little steam! The owner then proceeded to charge me almost $90.00 for this woman’s time when in reality her staff didn’t measure appropriately in the first place. Huge rip off and I am thoroughly disappointed. I will not be going back and will not be recommending to my friends or family members. Weddings are costly enough without businesses trying to take advantage of you.

Kristi has been fabulous and very easy to communicate with - especially with COVID-19 altering wedding plans. The shop also has a great selection of dresses at various price points.

There are so many things that I loved about Bridal Elegance. I was slightly apprehensive because I was looking for a very specific dress and this was a smaller shop, however I explained what I was looking for and immediately someone pulled this dress. I told them my budget was $3,000 for the dress, and the dress they pulled me ended up being around $1,500. I really appreciated they didnt try to pull a dress at the upper end of my budget just because they could, they really listened. I never felt rushed to make a decision. They were so helpful. Alterations were a breeze and affordable. I was truly blown away by how easy this process was for my wedding! I had been to 8 ( yes 8!) other stores in Charlottesville and Richmond area and from the actual dress to the experience, everything was perfect. Thank you Bridal Elegance!

I had a wonderful experience at Bridal Elegance yesterday! I fell absolutely in love with the first dress that I tried on and felt completely myself in it. The staff was friendly and professional and made my appointment feel exciting and personal. My consultant was helpful and attentive and made me feel very comfortable. My budget was $1,000 and I was able to find my dress for $720. My dress and veil together came in under my budget. A sweet shop with a wide range of prices, sizes, and styles.

I went by Bridal Elegance and was met by a sign that said “By appointment only.” I knocked on the door because I had a question and they stared at me and never came to the door. I then called and no one answered. Needless to say, I will not be returning. No class at all or customer service.

This review is long overdue! In August, 2016, we had the tremendous good fortune of being assigned to work with Candace. When we arrived, my daughter described what she wanted. Candace showed us everything that my daughter had requested. Luckily, she also showed us a dress that didnt match my daughters description at all, but ended up being the perfect dress. Thank you, Candace! Thanks also to the talented seamstress who did the alterations.

I had a terrible experience at Bridal Elegance. Two employees were not wearing masks and refused to put them on when requested, so I reported them to the Virginia Department of Health. The person who worked with us was abrupt, rude, and unhelpful.

The ladies at Bridal Elegance were fantastic! I purchased my dress at a shop in DC that did not offer alterations. Fortunately, Bridal Elegance was recommended to me and I visited to have my dress shortened, bustle and sash sewn on, straps shortened and and several other minor things. The dress fit like a glove once Mary was done with it! She was so helpful and patient in showing my mom how to bustle the dress as well. We were so happy with the service and quality of work that my mom ended up taking her MOB dress to Bridal Elegance for alterations also! They were so kind and professional and I really felt at ease leaving my dress in their hands. Fabulous experience with the ladies at Bridal Elegance!

I went to Bridal Elegance in October and had my appointment with Amanda. She was so sweet to my mom, sister, and I! I had an idea of the style that I liked but I was open to other options and she helped pick out so many dresses to try on. She had great opinions about all the dresses I tried on and I found my dream dress my first time there and my first time dress shopping at all! I had an appointment at another bridal shop after and I cancelled it after my great experience! I can’t wait for my dress to come in! I would recommend anyone go to Bridal Elegance as they are simply the best!

Awful experience. First off- if your budget is under $1500 don’t go here..... I had Cathy and she was terrible. She would bring dresses in my budget that really didn’t fit. She’d try to make them fit and even had herself and another employee trying to force the zipper up while i was on the pedestal in front of every- humiliating!!! Apparently she walked out of my dressing room rolling her eyes and putting her head in her hands- in front of my mom and MOH.... RUDE! After trying on maybe 5 dresses she walked in and threw her hands up at me saying we have nothing for you here. Devastating experience.... no bride should ever be shamed for not being able to fit in a certain size.If your a size 2- 6 and want to spend $2000 you’d probably like it here... but I’m not and it was the WORST experience.

Ive gone to several bridal shops in search of the perfect dress with no success. The dress I fell in love with at Davids Bridal unfortunately wouldnt arrive until after my wedding. Feeling panicked I reached out to Bridal Elegance. Their dress selection was amazing. I felt like a kid in a candy store. The amazingly wonderful Wendy helped me find the perfect dress!! We had the most WONDERFUL experience at this store! Candice worked with us and she was fabulous! My daughter had been looking for a dress for several months and many of her experiences with bridal shops had not been positive but from the time we entered the shop we knew we were in the right place. All the personnel are friendly and helpful! Candice had such a kind and accepting manner about her and was able to find dresses that flattered my daughters figure. She really listened to the description of the dress my daughter wanted and worked with her to help her find the exact dress. Candace also showed her other options that my daughter had not considered but Candace knew the dresses would be flattering to her figure. There was never a minute of pressure or hurrying us along. The selection of dresses and prices were also better than some of the other shops we visited. Mary was patient with me, gave great advice, and really listened to what I was looking for. I knew I’d be self-conscious about shopping for THE dress, but she was SO sweet. I had a great experience with Bridal Elegance. I had actually gotten my dress from a different store, and it was a sample dress that had come from Bridal Elegance. We went in seeing if they had any idea where we could go to get it altered and make a few changes. They offered to do it and Mary was just so amazing! She made the dress into exactly what I wanted, giving it lace straps and a keyhole back. She even helped my mom out with her dress! They were all so nice and welcoming and they really made me feel beautiful in my gown. The staff was hands down the best part about the salon, I mean not only do they have beautiful dresses and do amazing work, but they are so nice and attentive to their customers needs. Every we went in there it was such a great experience and I cannot thank them enough for all that they did. They genuinely care about their customers and they really did such a wonderful job. I had an absolutely amazing experience working with the ladies of Bridal Elegance to find and create my dream dress! Candace helped me try on so many dresses, and really tuned in to my preferences and the vibe I was going for. My mom, MIL, MOH, and I had a great time chatting and joking with her - she made the process so fun! Once we identified my dress, Mary stepped in and helped me make it my own. I customized the neckline and Mary was creative and extremely helpful in sketching my dress and working with the designer to make it happen. I got my custom dream dress all thanks to Mary and Candace - I am so thankful for them!

I had a perfect experience with Bridal Elegance. They are very knowledgeable and helpful, but also make the experience as special as it should be in choosing a wedding dress. It was a big deal for me, but it felt comfortable and I felt beautiful. They let me try on a variety of dresses, helped me find a gorgeous and affordable dress, were very friendly and funny, and picked out a beautiful matching belt and hairpiece. When I was trying on dresses, they let me know that a white dress I liked could come in different colors (ivory, blush, etc.), and that they could add belts or make the skirt more or less full. If there was something missing or too much on a dress, they could change it (adding spaghetti straps, removing a long train, etc.). When I went back for my fittings, everything was perfect. I went to another bridal shop before Bridal Elegance, and there was no question that Bridal Elegance was the place I wanted to work with for such a special occasion. On my first visit to try on a dress, they asked who recommended them, and when I stated it was my neighbor, they remembered everything about her wedding and even asked about her pets. They just care a lot, and it really shows in the way they run their business. Beyond just the inter-personal experience, there are tons and tons of really beautiful dresses with a variety of styles and price points. I would recommend this shop to anyone choosing their dress for the big day.

This was the fourth bridal store that I have visited, and it was by far the worst. One of the consultants was very kind and got me started filling out a form and browsing the dresses. There wasnt much choice, but I came for a specific designer so that was fine. The consultant that helped me through the appointment was AWFUL. She was not personable, she did not help me get in and out of dresses, she never fluffed out the dresses so I could see what theyd look like. I wasNever asked if I could change into a bra more appropriate for trying on dresses, so the dresses all looked a bit off. I was not allowed to keep more than 3 dresses that I liked, so I ended up claiming I didnt like dresses that I did. The consultant was so careless, she didnt take time clipping large dresses so I could see how they could fit, and she never untwisted straps or belts. She would pull the belts too tight, making the dresses look funny. The set up was also unusual to me. I was within arms reach of another bride, and the pedestal was too close to the mirrors I was supposed to look in. I was rushed in and out of dresses, and the consultant took the dresses and gave them to another bride, so I never had the opportunity to try the dresses on again. The appointment took less than 30 minutes, and it ended abruptly. The consultant said she would write down the dresses (only three though, no more) and price and leave her card up front. She never took any time to discuss how dresses could be altered to my liking, or how a rush order would work. When I went to the desk she handed me the card and walked away. My friend and I were not acknowledged when we left. When I went to review the dresses/price I realized the consultant didnt bother to write a single thing about my appointment down. I am so unhappy with my visit, and I left feeling incredibly defeated. I would never go back, and Id never recommend this store to another bride.

I Loved Bridal Elegance because of the wide range of beautiful dresses to choose from within my budget. The dress that I ended up saying YES to was a dress that my bridal consultant Candace picked out. She thought I would look good on me and I ended up loving it. I would not have picked that one of it wasnt for her. I was set on a Ball gown style but she choose a mermaid for me that accented my figure perfectly. Thanks Candace!!! Bought a fantastic dress at Bridal Elegance to wear to my daughters wedding. Staff went out of their way to get express delivery to meet my timeline and their seamstress did an amazing job with the alterations I needed. I highly recommend this store for their mother of the bride selection.

First of all I want to start by saying I was so happy when I walk through the door the first time to look for a dress on a very snowy January day when no one else was open they were. Although most people would love to be at home with their kids playing in the snow they were there and gave great customer service. They have a great selection of dress for any size. I am a plus size woman so I was very excited that they actually had a dress that fit me. I bought my dream dress that day and came back a couple months later to get my alterations and my dress did not fit. They were so nice to me and rescheduled my alterations so that I could have a few more months to get fit and I came back and my dress fit. Yay!!! I actually just left bridal elegance and they personally walked my mother and I out with my dress, helped us put my dress in the car safely, and each staff member hugged my mother and l! Talk about great customer service! If I had to do it all over again I would not go anywhere else! I highly recommend Bridal Elegance to any bride to be! Mary and Bridal Elegance team, you are awesome!!!!!!

The ladies at Bridal Elegance are knowledgeable, cheerful, and willing to go the extra mile to help find just the right dress for the bride, the attendants and the mothers. Not only did our daughter find the perfect wedding dress, but the price was well under what we had budgeted. I am the maid of honor for my best friend, and today we had a horrible experience at this dress shop. We scheduled an appointment for 12:30, and showed up a little early. We were helped right away by our salesperson who was nice and brought us to a dressing room. I started helping my best friend try on her dresses and the salesperson kept asking us if we needed help. We kept saying no, and kept trying on dresses.After about twenty minutes, the owner comes up to us and says, Hi, Im the owner. At first I thought she was just going to ask us if we were finding everything ok. She then proceeds to tell us in a very derogatory manner that we need to have the salesperson in the room with us to make sure the dresses dont get damaged while we try them on.The way she said it was rude and unprofessional, as if she was talking to children and chiding them rather than telling a customer something.No one had mentioned to us that we couldnt be in a room by ourselves. No one had said anything about their rules about how to try on their dresses. The salesperson kept disappearing during our experience there, we even found a dress we loved but we will not be buying from this shop, because it is owned by a woman who makes her customers feel small rather than being polite and making them feel respected.

I know some people really like this store, but I honestly wasnt super impressed. I also only came with a friend, but I have gone wedding dress shopping for myself before, and this just wasnt a great experience, in my opinion.First off, the fitting rooms were too close together, so you didnt really feel very private. Also, the mirror area didnt have enough of a step for the bride-to-be, which is actually very important because most gowns are too long for most women (makes sense, I mean, you want to carry gowns that are too long rather than too short) and to see the dress in its full effect is very difficult if youre standing on the floor level, or its not a round elevation that you can spread the dress around.While the staff were friendly and helpful enough, I also never got the impression they were really experts. When I was looking for dresses, I was really happy when I found someone who could give me advice about my silhouette and skin tone. Not in a pushy way, but just in offering suggestions. I think the best staff also engage the friends and family of the bride-to-be, because everyone is invested in the process.Overall, I just didnt feel like architecturally there was space, time or attention that should go into helping someone find THE dress for their wedding. Even Davids Bridal has a better display and fitting area.I think its probably a great bridal shop, and I imagine plenty of women find their dream dress, but Ive just seen other places do it better.

I cant say enough good things about Bridal Elegance. Ive been to so many places while looking for wedding gowns. By far, my best experience was with Bridal Elegance. Very patient, supportive and attentive staff who treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door...with zero pressure! They truely care about you and finding your gown! And once you do, they take such great care of handing and prepping your gown for bridal portraits and the big day. Highly recommend!

Bridal Elegance was the first and only dress shop I went into to find a wedding gown. I’m glad it was. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately impressed by the wide, but not over-the-top, selection. The staff there was very welcoming and helpful, but also not overbearing.I had an idea of what I wanted in a dress when I went in, and they had many options that fit both within and outside my criteria. Having the options was wonderful, especially since I fell in love with a dress that didn’t fit any of my initial criterion (funny how that works). It was the 5th dress I tried on, and it was meant to be.The staff was extremely helpful – helping getting dresses on and off, offering guidance, and making me feel comfortable. The tailoring process was also quite wonderful. The owner personally hemmed my gown. She made the experience personal and quick. I ended up buying my gown, veil, and jewelry through Bridal Elegance at a reasonable cost – and I ended up with a beautiful look for my wedding day. No look further for a dress shop. I had a fantastic experience with getting a bridesmaid dress at Bridal Elegance! I was desperately scrambling to get a dress within a month, and the wonderful ladies there made it happen - nothing short of a miracle! I also had to bring my 2 month old baby into the store with me each time and everyone there could not have been nicer about the whole situation. Everyone was so kind and helpful and thanks to them I can still participate in my best friends wedding!

Everyone at this salon is very professional, nice and accommodating. My mom is from out of town so all of my appointments had to be on the weekend. They were always willing to work with my schedule and get the appointment day I needed. Everything has been extremely easy with this salon. They are quick to answer any of my questions and work with my timeline as far as shipping/fittings/etc. I would highly recommend this bridal salon!

I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! They were awesome through the whole process. One time I was running late to get my dress and they were closed for 30min but they waited around for me to pick up my dress!! At the fitting, they were super patient as multiple shoes and accessories were tried on with the dress to find the perfect look. I came to this store because both of my sisters got their wedding dressess here (but at the other broad street locations). I love this location, it is much bigger, bright, and well organized. I loved the staff, they were so helpful and made the shopping experience feel much less overwhelming. When I chose my dress, the staff was so flexible in helping me schedule my fitting and follow up appointments because I am from out of town. I had a wonderful experience here! At my appointments I have been letting the consultant helping me know Ive been losing weight (so I can learn about alterations) and to assume Im losing weight solely for my wedding was pretty irritating since Im not doing it to please anyone. I was looking at one dress that I thought was gorgeous & she looked at the tag and saw it was a size 14. She then looked at me and asked if I thought I could fit into a 14. Then she told me I probably wouldnt. This whole experience was uncomfortable from beginning to end when I was being helped. I was happy I was able to come out in the first & only dress I picked out because it looked pretty on me, but overall the feedback that I received from the consultant was very minimal. If you have a consultant who is unsure how to properly & happily help a larger customer, please refer that bride to someone else. There is no reason why someone should come into a bridal appointment & leave with hurt feelings. I tried on a total of 3 dresses... 3... At the end of the appointment after the third one she came in the changing room and was like well thats all I have. Please be aware that not every bride is a normal size. Some of us are plus size, shocking I know. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

Even though they did not have the dress we were looking foor, they were extremely nice and referred us to another store they thought could help. We so appreciated the time and information staff gave us!

BEST BRIDAL SALON IN RVA!!! Bridal Elegance made my dress buying experience absolutely perfect! They were incredibly accommodating of my friends and family who came to dress shop. Their dresses are the best quality and top designers and are reasonably priced. Every time I go in a see new dresses keeping up with current fashion. Alterations were inexpensive and top notch quality. Mary remembers every detail about me, my wedding, and my dress. She and her associates make the dress buying experience fun and always make me feel like a beautiful bride. I would recommend them to any and every bride!!!

I ordered a bridesmaid dress and received a call it was ready in a decent amount of time. Hopefully I dont gain any weight by the wedding date arrives lolWhen i tried on my dress, I was placed in a dressing room with the vacuum and other cleaning supplies. I had an appointment and it wasnt busy so I dont understand why I didnt receive A1 service.This place was not able to hem my dress but did recommend a place nearby...

Bridal Elegance was a FABULOUS place to use! The owner, Mary developed a relationship with my daughter the minute they worked together. At our final fitting, we felt we needed more work on the dress. Mary made that happen. Her seamstresses arrived at 7 am to make the dress fit perfectly. We HIGHLY recommend this business!

This place is close to my work, and today I decided to pop in on a whim. I was feeling discouraged after my very first shopping experience went horribly at another bridal salon. I could not believe the wonderful treatment I received from the staff! Everyone was friendly & attentive, and they went out of their way to help me, despite me not having an appointment. Amanda was amazing. She was happy to help me try a few dresses, and I was thrilled when I found exactly what I had been looking for, at a price I could afford. I could not believe how pleasant an experience this was. A complete 180 from my first dress shopping attempt, which was a nightmare. I highly recommend Bridal Elegance. I wish I could give more stars.

Until Bridal Elegance, I had no idea that getting a wedding dress altered could be so stress free! I knew nothing about weddings or dresses or anything, and I ended up being stuck with a intricately cut dress that was too large in some places and just right in others, one week before my wedding! I had just about given up hope when a friend of mine recommended I try Bridal Elegance. I thought that no one could do such complicated alterations to my taste, and in such a tight time frame. But Bridal Elegance blew me away! They had great pricing and they did all the alterations on my dress perfectly within only a few days. They saved my wedding! My fiance (now husband) just loved the dress and no one knew that just a week before the dress was way too large. The staff were out of this world. I even walked in and this 20 year old inexperienced bride broke down and bawled when I got to the front desk from the stress of the wedding. They were so sweet and both of them hugged me and made it better. They were so patient and I cant thank Mary and her team enough for everything theyve done. I bought my dress here on Saturday! Mary helped me and she did a wonderful job; she showed me dresses that I had not thought of and was extremely patient and kind. If you plan to buy a dress, please add this shop to your list of places to go...they are very caring and have excellent customer service.

I found my dress today with the help of my amazing consultant Mary. I was so nervous about going to try on dresses just 3 months after I had my daughter, I had a slight meltdown and one of the other Bridal Elegance girls brought me a tissue and Mary immediately lifted my spirits with her great personality. She had me giggling and joking with her my whole experience there. She was honest with her opinions and very knowledgeable as to what should be done with each and every dress to get the perfect fit. This was my first time ever trying on wedding dresses and let me tell you, that’s exactly how it’s supposed to go. These ladies are the best! They’re sweet and completely genuine. I did not feel rushed or pressured in any way at all. I highly recommend them to any bride looking to find their perfect gown. They will take the time you need to find you your happily ever after dress!

I wish there was a way to give 0 stars. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Seriously, do not do business with these people. They are rude, and extremely unhelpful. I have never written a bad review before but I just got off the phone with them and am fuming. Long story short...I do not live in Richmond so I got sized in Denver. My sister went into their store in Richmond with my measurements. They said I was exactly between a 4 and a 6. They ordered me a 4. And when I went to pick it up it didnt fit...SHOCKER! There is no inseam so the only way to make it fit was to change the back of the dress. The other option they gave me was to exchange it for another style dress in the same color. BOTH of these options would make my dress look differently from what my bride picked out, and both of these options are unacceptable for the $200 I spent on the dress. They would not give me a refund of any kind and proceeded to tell me they were not at fault at all. They even made me take a screenshot of my measurements that I sent to my sister 7 months ago via text with a timestamp because they did not believe me. From the minute the dress didnt fit they were on the defensive and acted extremely rude. They promised to call me back when I called them from Denver and two weeks later they never did. The manager wouldnt allow me to speak to the owner. She kept saying, you can speak to her if it gets to that point. Absolutely ridiculous. Weddings are supposed to be happy times and this company will make it a miserable experience. Sorry for the rant, I hate these types of reviews but it was just SO BAD that I have to save other people from working with them.

Both of my sisters have purchased their bridal dresses from Bridal Elegance, so I have had the privilege of being fitted for bridesmaids dresses each time. The staff is so friendly, professional, and accommodating. They never forget a face!

The team at bridal elegance was a dream to work with! There were so many beautiful dresses to choose from, the staff was very knowledgable, and the alterations were perfect! I was in a bind the week of my wedding and needed last minute alterations. They made time for me outside regular business hours, finished the alterations in a day, and even brought me snacks to make sure I didnt forget to eat from all of the stress.My dress alterations turned out perfectly and the dress was everything Id always hoped it would be! I couldnt imagine getting my wedding dress from anywhere else. I highly recommend the whole team at Bridal Elegance!

Candice and all of the rest of the staff are wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I was shopping alone because I recently moved to the Richmond area and all of my bridesmaids live in other states. But I wasnt uncomfortable at all! I highly recommend Bridal Elegance for their selection, affordability, and helpfulness.

They had a lot of high quality dresses that werent over priced. My consultant was very nice and helpful. I really enjoyed my shopping experience.

When I came to Bridal Elegance in late August of this year and told them my fiance and I were planning a surprise wedding for November of this year they didnt even skip a beat before telling me it was an absolute possibility for me to find the dress of my dreams. Candace, Mary & Trinh were beyond accommodating. Each and every time I went there they made every moment enjoyable, memorable, and pain free. My dress was absolutely stunning, fit like a glove, and left me feeling the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life. The compliments I received on my gown are countless. They have such an exquisite and diverse selection of gowns there and even though I came in knowing what I wanted, they gently encouraged me to try other styles before ruling them out, which I greatly appreciated. Everyone at Bridal Elegance is so helpful! The customer service is great and they have beautiful gowns. This was only the second place I went to and I found my dress! Mary Kieu was exceptionally helpful!!

Went with my future daughter-in-law to look at dresses and from the moment we walked in the door, the atmosphere was amazing, the assistant that was helping her with the dresses was wonderful and made her feel completely comfortable. I would recommend any future bride to visit them 100%. And she said YES TO THE DRESS!!!

Ironically enough, I actually had another dress on hold with the deposit already paid at a store near my alma mater (Id been dreaming for 3 years of getting my dress from this particular place.) I walked into Bridal Elegance on a whim to search for a veil, and there was MY dress--- hanging there beautifully. It was in the clearance aisle, and it was in ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL condition. Some dress shops only put on clearance the dresses that are missing adequate hemming lines, etc. No, Bridal Elegance really caters to their brides. I havent received my wedding pictures just yet, but I would have definitely posted it with this review if i could! SIMPLY GORGEOUS. And, everyone was in awe when I walked down the aisle. My Dad and my Hubby just kept staring at me! LOL People thought Id paid much more than I had, and it was a true blessing. Ms. Maria is awesome to work with, and extremely knowledgeable! And, my consultant, Bree, did an outstanding job! She was patient, encouraging, and understanding through the entire process. It felt like less of having a consultant in the room, and more like trying on my dress with one of my girlfriends there! Beautiful atmosphere, beautiful people. I will definitely keep them in mind when I renew my vows a few years from now.

Mary and her team at Bridal Elegance made my dress purchasing experience wonderful! My husband and I planned our wedding in little under six months, which didnt give me much time to find a dress. All the other stores that I went into made me feel rushed and gave me a hard time for not allowing enough time to order and alter my gown.I found my dress on the floor and was able to purchase the floor sample at a discount. It worked perfectly for our timeline and provided extra peace knowing the dress was already here. One of the aspects that also really impressed me was the quality of alterations. I had a sweetheart neckline and a drop v added to my dress and everyone who saw it would have believed the dress was designed this way.Thank you to Mary and Trinh at Bridal Elegance for making me feel so pretty in my dress on my wedding day!

The ladies at Bridal Elegance are amazing! I have interacted with them since 2002 when my friends and I began shopping for wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses and have always been extremely pleased with how knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive they are! When I got my wedding dress this spring, they truly went above and beyond. After purchasing my dress, I found out I was pregnant. Not only did they call the manufacturer and manage to get the same dress (two sizes bigger) shipped to Richmond in time, but they also held the one I had purchased until after my first ultrasound to ensure things were going smoothly with the baby. I could have cried I was so relieved that things would work out with my dress! I was not surprised that Mary and Trinh supported me in this way because that has always been how they are. I just truly felt blessed to have come across Bridal Elegance years ago and to be at the receiving end of their kindness! I could never thank them enough!

Their selection and prices are wonderful!! But most importantly, customer service is AMAZING! You leave feeling like you are part of the family!!

Incredible experience from start to finish. My fiancee purchased a wedding dress from here (I was along to offer my two cents, if needed), and we were extremely impressed. Our guide, Trihn, was fantastic and spent a lot of time to personally walk us through a number of different options (all quite beautiful yet affordable), tailored to our interests. The dress we ended up choosing, gorgeous, was one we hadnt even thought of, but Trihn picked up on our style and tastes and ran it by us, and it was perfect! She was friendly and personable, and very easy-going but helpful through the entire experience. A real joy working with her!Selection and prices are also top notch, the shop is well designed and pleasant to be in. The staff are universally accommodating and friendly, happy to work with you (including rush orders). They were an incredibly valuable part of the experience. Really everything we were looking for when choosing the perfect wedding dress for my fiancee.

Nice selection on bridesmaids gowns, however, they should consider offering a variety of sample sizes for all women to be able to try on dresses.

I had the worst experience here. I went with my sister to try on bridesmaids dresses and the person helping us wasnt helpful at all. The consulant was never with us through the whole appointment. I would understand if they were busy but, they werent. Also the bridemaids dresses selection are very limited. If you were thinking about coming here for bridemaids dress, PLEASE DONT.

I am so thrilled with my experience with Bridal Elegance! I came in on a whim, already frustrated by a terrible experience with Davids Bridal. After doing a quick search and finding this location, we called and Bre let us know that I could come in for a quick 30 minute consultation. Over an hour later, I had found the dress of my dreams and stayed within budget! Bre and the owner were very helpful in getting me in and out of the dresses, found accessories, adjusted my hair - all so I could get an idea of what I would look like on my big day. They even impressed my mom and made her feel so welcome! Bre did a great job in asking me what my vision was and quickly eliminated dresses that I would not like. I had a terrible experience with Davids Bridal so this was very refreshing. Bridal Elegance turned a terrible day into a great one! I am fine with the 6 month turnaround as my wedding is not until 2019. All in all, it was a great experience and I bought a dress after having very little expectations! I had not even planned to purchase a dress (just browse)! I highly recommend this location to anyone! I was also thrilled that the dress was well under $2,000!

Dont go anywhere else! Every member of the Bridal Elegance staff is professional, welcoming, and knowledgable. I was greeted immediately upon entering the store and given a tour of how the dresses were laid out. The consultant I worked with encouraged me to try on several styles to narrow down what I liked and was very professional - she understood immediately what I was looking for. After trying on several dresses, I knew I had found the one - it ended up being the first one I tried on! It was less expensive than I was expecting, having shopped at other stores with higher prices (and much lower standards of customer service) I never felt pressured to buy immediately or go outside of my budget. I cant wait to wear my dream dress :) Thanks to all the wonderful ladies at Bridal Elegance!

I had the most amazing experience from beginning to end. We bought my drest as well as 5 bridesmaids dresses. Mary and Trin were phenomenal and picked t he one! I never would have even tried it on but it was stunning once I saw it on. Mary took so much time to talk and get to know me. It was a very personal and warm experience and I am so sad its over..although I have two sisters :-) I would highly recommend this quaint shop to all brides-to-be !

I went to several boutiques searching for my dream dress, only to be frustrated my first time going to try on gowns when I felt pressured by stores to buy a gown that same day. I came across Bridal Elegance and was recommended by a friend to check it out. I am so grateful that I did! They were extremely helpful and did not make me feel pressured to buy a gown, unlike another store in Richmond. The staff is so friendly and they really listened to every alteration I wanted to make to my gown. From an extended train to added lace sleeves, to an added sash, they made my dream become a reality!
