Where do I start?I have been taking my car to this business since April 2021 and each and every time Ive gotten it back, something else has ended up needing to be repaired.I took my car in on 10/9/21 for a vehicle inspection, oil change, air bag light on my dash and 1 TPS sensor that was malfunctioning. $800 later, I have my vehicle inspection, 2 new tires, my airbag wiring is fix($200+)I start to drive home and the ABS light comes on as well as the vehicle stability track lights. I turn around and take it back to the them immediately and Im told to bring it back today because theyre closing.I take it back they have the nerve to call and tell me that they found the problem and it will be $400+ to fix.Keep in mind, I didnt have ABS issue when I took my car in. Now I have one after theyve worked on my car and they want me to take to get it fix.You have lost a customer Haley and I will do everything in my power as a consumer and former customer to let it be known that your managers and techs refuse to take responsibility for issues they cause.
This is my second Buick purchased at Haley. Both times my salesman was Bruce Harris. Bruce did a fantastic job of promoting the vehicle, without pressuring me to purchase. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family. The entire process from test drive to signing the paperwork was smooth and time efficient. It did take the better part of the day, however, that is to be expected. I am very pleased with my purchase and based on this experience would come back again to Haley.
Dear fellow Veterans and anyone else, don’t buy from this place. Live an hour away and traveled.to buy “as is” . Wanted a fast transaction due to COViD and the trip and Manager assured us it was a super clean vehicle. Test drove it briefly, no oil on the engine. Very low profile car (Jetta GLI). Told them I was a 21 year Vet and this was for my 16 year old Daughter. Bought on a Saturday and the next day, 3 quarts of oil leaked out from the Pan. They told me they had just changed the oil. Oil was all over my driveway the next day. Tried to call Sunday but closed. Texted the sales rep and they told me it is “as is” but I’m sure it’s something minor. Left a message at dealership and didn’t get a single call back today (Monday). 100 bucks a get a call back or a insincere reply to this. Either way I’m screwed because I bought as is; however, how did they not see the car leaking over after they moved it from the parking spot! Now it’s all over my beautiful driveway. Again, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE especially my Veteran brothers and sisters.
Well I was told by 2 auto parts stores that said my alternator was the issue and I needed to take to dealership. I called was told that if was my alternator it would be covered under the warranty. I never heard from anyone for 24 hours even though I sent 2 texts to Macy. I called and spoke to Nate who said that it was my battery and cables? And it would be $582 dollars. I said for a battery he said yes and I told him that I was told it was alternator he said that it was battery. He said he would have Macy contact me after lunch. I heard nothing. I called back spoke to Nate again who verified my email and said he would send me a quote right away. An hour later still nothing. I called back 3 times got the assistant Cheryl? Voicemail. I asked for GM to call me back. I get my quote now it’s $387. Then I get a call at 4:30 from Macy say it is $265 now. Thanks for the discount but I should not have had to pay any thing but my deductible of $100. And don’t get me started on my brakes that I brought in 1 month after owning car and being told I had to pay for that.
We made an appointment and brought our Suburban in for routine maintenance and state inspection. When we arrived, we were told we had made the appointment for another location. Our mistake. Nate was able to squeeze us in and took great care of us! Great communication and helped us get the services done that we needed. He was kind and patient and very helpful. Thanks so much!
Had trouble accessing the site to set-up my Inspection Appointment. Had to take off work on the 13th for something else. Once done, I decided to drop by Haley to see if they could fit me in for an inspection. Even though they were busy, they were very accommodating and helped me to get that task off of my To-Do List. This was our second purchase in a little over a year. We were so impressed with the courtesy and professionalism at the time of our first purchase we chose Haley as our first and only stop when shopping for the second vehicle. Eloy worked so patiently me and allowed me to test several vehicles without the typical Rush we have experienced at other dealerships. We have already recommended him personally to many friends and family. This was especially impressive given the inventory challenges present at the time. Thanks for a great buying experience.
I first contacted Haley by phone and was connected to Bruce Harris. He answered every question i had and super professional. I was undecided what brand of truck i wanted and went back and forth with Bruce for the 2 weeks. He never got frustrated with me asking all kinds of questions and i became very comfortable with him! At one point i told him it feels like we are friends and I’ve never met you in person!! Long story short I bought the truck unseen and never met Bruce until the day i picked up the truck!! I will not be returning to Haley Auto Group for any future business.We purchased a used 2015 GMC Acadia at the end of March (its the end of July at the time of this posting). We noticed within a few weeks that the passenger window would not roll up from the passenger controls. In hindsight, we should have taken it to Haley immediately. However, based on their information today when they said they only would have ‘maybe’ covered it if it was the first two weeks, bringing it immediately wouldn’t have even mattered. We didn’t use the windows for a few weeks so didn’t notice the issue soon enough. Once we did notice it, we waited until our first service to have them look at the window; logistics dealing with four kids and all.I asked if they would take care of it since it was an issue right away but IF they wouldnt fix it for free, then I wanted them at least to tell me what’s wrong. They want to charge me $122 to diagnose the issue. Ive asked them to at least diagnose the issue for free since it was a problem when we got the car but wasnt identified.I understand they won’t fix the window but to charge me for the diagnosis? Well, thats the business choice and my choice as a consumer is to never go back to them.Education is expensive. So be it. Also, roll windows down and up during a test drive yall; especially if you are purchasing a vehicle from Haley Automotive.
Very disappointed. Had my 2012 Terrain in 2 weeks ago, for a possible oil consumption problem recall. It was decided it was not necessary to worry about. They fixed one of my tire pressure gauges which was reading zero. They also did the vehicles checkpoints. Told them we were taking a trip in a couple weeks. I was told everything was ok. Today, a mechanic friend of mine tells me the oil is 3½ quarts low.

Tom and the team exceeded my expectations again! I brought my truck in to have it diagnosed. I had been told it could be a bad converter and I was prepared to spend ( not happily) upwards of 2000.00. They dug in and found the problem was a cleaning issue with the DEF fluid. They cleaned and serviced it and changed the oil and I happily spent less than 500. Thanks again for being honest and taking the time to figure it out. I will see you next time.

If you can help it DO NOT take your vehicle to be serviced at this dealer. I live over an hour away and my 2020 yukon was throwing a leveling system code. After having to wait almost a week to have it serviced due to needing a rental that they couldnt get! My vehicle was taken to service center, upon arriving no rental on property hertz had to come pick my husband up and drive back to the rental company. The rental had bad inspection sticker we noticed after getting it home. My husband was told that the part wouldnt be there for a day, then at 5pm the same day he gets a call the vehicle was fixed. They changed a sensor and cleared code! So we could pick it up tomorrow from 8am -6pm. After picking it up and my husband dropping it off at my work. I get in my vehicle and the same code is showing ! I call back and the service center say well you can bring it back but we arent sure what it is !!! So 4 hours round trip and nothing is done, and they just dont know??? So much for customer service! We will be going to another dealership with a service center that is qualified!

Chris Fuller was very helpful when purchasing my Buick Encore... we looked at several... with various features... but he did his research and found the car for me... it was at another Haley location... Chris made the effort to go to the other Haley dealership... and pick up my Encore himself... ON HIS DAY OFF! Chris literally went the extra mile! Give this guy a promotion!

My first experience with HALEY GMC was not great. I brought my 2008 Suburban in for a rear end repair. I was told by Tom in service that it would cost $1600 roughly for parts and labor. I had the truck tow to the location on Midlothian. I called Tom to see had the truck arrived and it did. Then Tom told me that the repair would cost me $2900, because of the part price changed. I asked was this a brand new part and He stated no and it was come from Bruces with 190000 miles of it. I called Bruces with the part number and Bruces informed me that the part was 750 dollars. I felt violated and intelligence insulted. I search around and found the same part for 650 dollars with 130000 miles. I had them do the repair, because the truck was in the possession.Now, I should have listen to my wife. I towed my Tahoe hybrid around there, because of the convenience of Haley being close to home. This was back in October 2020 and its now December. We have been operating off of one vehicle. I called several times and went there to check on the progress each week. Today, I was told that my key was lost for weeks, the technician was not told to perform the job and they had not done anything to the truck since drop. Of course, Tom told me something different. I had found out that Tom did not have none of my information correctly inputted in the their system from the first time I brought my Suburban and my Tahoe was registered to a Lady that I have no relations. What surprising that I ask Sherrel (service clerk) to speak with a manager of sort. All the managers are out of the office today, because I did not want to speak with Tom or any one else. My truck is still there and had not being service or repair. I had the technician to write what he stated to me, because I could not record him. I attach a copy of what he wrote. My recommendation is to choose wisely, before going to Haleys. My thoughts are the over pricing and the poor service, because of ethnicity. I will give an update on what happen in the next few days.
Met promptly, serviced promptly, everyone friendly and courteous. This is how a dealership should be. I drive to Richmond area from Farmville because that service level is not available in Farmville.

We were very disappointed in the service for our GMC Acadia. We brought it in on Friday for an oil change after coming from Emporia on Thursday which is about 70 to 80 miles one way. The Acadia ran just as smooth as ever. We were told they will change the oil, do a 27 point inspection and rotate the tires. After getting the Acadia back it was riding very bumpy like an old truck or something bottoming out. We dont know what your tech did but we know for sure that it was not riding like that when we brought it in. Companies now are so dishonest and trying to get over on people that it is a shame. We took the Acadia back to your location for it to be checked out. Received it back but no difference. We ended up taking it to Firestone for a second opinion and they fix it for a cheaper price. We are very suspicious as to what happened in less than 24 hours. If the vehicle was bottoming out like that we would have taking it in for that in the beginning. We definitely were not satisfied.

After servicing on 01-14-2020, I noticed the warning light on my dash indicating servicing (needed oil change) had not been reset. When I returned to the service department on 01-15-2020, it was noted that MY OIL HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED DESPITE IT BEING LISTED AND CHARGED FOR ON MY RECEIPT. They then changed my oil.Now, on 04-08-2021, after a service visit, my tires were not rotated as I specifically requested. I had to return on 04-09-2021 to get this accomplished. I am done dealing with this dealership. It is likely I would have bought my next truck there, but not now.
We have been looking for the past 6 month at different Dealerships at used SUVs and couldnt fine what we were looking for most were over priced or hi pressure salespeople trying to sell something you didnt want at Haley we found a used 2017 Chevy Tahoe at the right price and our salesman T J Jones helped us close the deal it was seamless start to finish no pressure at all Thank you to all the Staff at Haley Buick GMC for making us Happy Customers with are Chevy Tahoe. My car still not working properly. Took car in for oil change .They suggested I needed to do a tune up. I agreed but my car havent run properly since. Took my car in for service twice no change. What do I need to get my car running smoothly again?

My sales person, Chris Fuller, did an excellent job. I was looking for a new GMC. He answered the phone and could answer all my questions.
I arrived for the airbag recall and was informed that the dash may crack during the repair and GM would not cover it. I was told I could decline the recall. I requested to contact the manufacturer and was told the # was on the website. I requested and was provided the #. I received a case # to reference if the dash cracked and called dealership to approve recall. I also asked to diag the transmission for shifting issues. The text messages below confirm what was causing the issue and was also recommended other repairs. I explained I had outside extended warranty and that the records should be on file from last claim. I was told the transmission issue was not bad enough for warranty to cover and he needed the extended warranty # in order to file the claim for the other issues. My previous advisor, Alex, called and apologized and had claim filed for the other issues before I even got home from work. He had parts ordered and now Im just waiting for a loaner to be available for the day so I can get to and from work while repairs are performed. Please see messages below between advisor and myself:

I was extremely pleased with the recent work done to my GMC Yukon at Haley on Midlothian. Will, in the service department maintained constant communication with me throughout the process. I had always gone to a one man repair shop but recently started bringing my car to a Haley. The level of service is outstanding and feel very comfortable with the quality and work and customer service.
The heat went out in my Encore on a Saturday. Will Davis was awesome!!! To my surprise, my water pump went out. As I waited, Will kept me posted on the status of my car. He even noticed that I was in need of an oil change, so I got my oil changed as well. My tire pressure was checked and adjusted in all four of my tires. Very pleased with the service I received.
Meh, fine but I had coupons at home I had forgotten that expire soon. When I got home I called the woman at the service desk who helped me to see if I could give her the code that is clearly on the coupon and be reimbursed. I spent around $350. This coupon would’ve saved me $40 and right now times are hard and that would help. She stated that they couldn’t reopen the ticket to reimburse me and to save and use before expiration. They expire next week. I don’t need anything else done at this time. I went to you guys because of the coupons and I forgot them at home. We all have a lot going on right now and car maintenance and repairs are expensive but necessary. I know she is just doing her job but I hope this doesn’t happen to the next person.
Today we went to Haley and we test drove a GMC Denali Sierra 2021 and we got to the buying process after playing with a few numbers and then boom...the salesman comes out to show us another Denali because the one we had ALL day was supposed to have been sold already!!! What a heartbreak. I felt like it was very unprofessional. The store manager and the sales manager really should have apologized to us. It was just so weird how it all went down. The truck was sold while we were in the process of buying it. It was done in a very rude way! This Haley location I will not recommend no one there. The salesman was nice and we didnt have an issue with him, I felt like they did him wrong by making him tell us. We should have definitely been told by the store manager and definitely been apologized to. This experience was AWFUL!! And no one really apologized for our time wasted and heartbreak. Its ok, everything happens for a reason though!
The worst customer service ever. the general manager was extremely rude. he should be fired.
I went there because my check engine light was on. I was told I have to pay for a diagnosis for $122 to find out why my check engine light was on. I paid the $122 and left there with my check engine light on and still doesn’t know why. So In short I dive 20 miles and wasted $122 and still doesn’t know why my check engine light is on.
Staff was very nice and kept me informed of my vehicle. It took over a month to have my vehicle repaired.

You did not service my vehicle on 9/28/2021 - I called after I received a similar text message - you said it happened automatically due to you entering your data base on my recall account - You said the system does this and you dont know how to stop it unless someone there turns off the automatic notification - please train your employees to correct this - you said you get lots of similar calls back - FIX IT!
Kept me posted on what was going on, courteous, attentive, only issue they didnt put my mats and the cover back once they replace my fuse box

The services that I have received at this location have been awful except for a regular oil change and tire rotation.On Jan. 22nd, I took my car in to be serviced due to no heat, only cold air. A new thermostat was put in and checked for any leaks. NO other problems were found. The next day (Saturday) no heat. The only way my car heat will operate properly is to get on the interstate traveling 70mph. Once I stop or driving in the city the heat would return to blowing out cold air. I paid $585.00 for my heating problem. Just about every time my car is serviced other than an oil change, I have to take it back to be serviced for the same thing. I purchased this car brand new. I have met ALL the service maintenance requirements and still problems after problems. The service repairs are inadequate to say the least. Im done!

Awful still waiting on documentation of questionable diagnostic test preformed. Asked for document showing codes of issues. Remote start removed without permission vehicle sat at the dealership for one week. Had to rent a rental car for a week call received to pick up vehicle. The same night experience the same issues vehicle returned back to dealership. I received a loaner vehicle for one day wonder why this option was not offered while my vehicle sat for a week.
All went as planned and I had no issues. Everyone was friendly. Thank you!

The employees there are wonderful and courteous. However, because we are made to pay for damages to our car caused by a recall I will not ever buy a GM vehicle and will tell everyone else of our terrible experiences with our unreliable, poorly made GM vehicle. I will also tell everyone how GM refuses to own up to the residual damages to our car because it’s not technically “part of the recall”.

March 3, 2020 I turned in my car to a dealership to be fixed after an accident. During the first round we received text message updates on our cars progress to completion. We had even spoken to shop employees about the cars progress and we were told everything was completed they were just waiting on a part. That was all lies. Nothing was done to my car and the texts were automated... So I made them fix the car to be drivable so I could use it till the part came in because I did not have a rental. March 13, 2020 They returned my car to me and I drive it car for a week or more. March 26, 2020 They call to say the part came in so I return my car to them and I get a loaner vehicle from them. April 2, 2020 They call to say the car is ready. Round 2 I take off work to go get my car, I drive an hour to the shop and I get there and the car door locks no longer function... So they keep they have to keep the car. ( For a living Im a maintenance engineer at a chemical plant and I fabricate and fix machines) I knew what the issue in the car was. I told the employee before he took it back to the shop. It was a wire grounding issue from inside the door skin they replaced... (The only wiring that was performed on the car) they told me it was a programming issue, and proceeded to buy computer parts and door parts and a new key and they reprogrammed my whole car... It did nothing... So they called the GM manufacturer, who also said it was a wire grounding issue... They then told me it was interference from an after market alarm and they ripped apart my car dash, the air bags, the middle paneling in my gear shifter. Only to find out that there was NO aftermarket alarm on the car. April 17, 2020 I get my car back and the paneling on the door is not properly installed, the cover of the airbag its not properly installed, they paneling on the door is not properly installed, the paneling on the middle gear shift is broken, my aftermarket lighting system that I installed is broken, the dashboard computer is glitching and not working properly, my USB phone connection is not functioning properly or maintaining a proper connection to the computer, and its over heating my phone while its charging. They have ordered me a new panel that they broke and lights that they broke. They had to order late a new mirror that was supposed to be replaced but didnt get ordered with the other damaged parts. So now Im waiting on parts to come in to have the damage they caused on my car for no reason to get fixed. I dont trust these people.Update... May 20,2020 since this started March 3. Still waiting on parts for my car repair (caused by the dealership) with no wish to rectify or make fair. Id stay away if I read this.

Received a trade in value on my truck from another GM dealership in Richmond. Went over to Haley GMC as they had the truck I was looking for and they offered almost $10k less than the first dealer.Gary, the manager, explained that the first dealer must “have a new sales manager” or is taking numbers and moving them around on the pricing to make the trade-in valuation look better.After that interaction, I went to another Richmond dealer, and received a matching trade in valuation as the first dealer.Spoke with Gary at Haley as to why two dealers are offering 10k more than him on a trade in and why he made unprofessional remarks about the first dealer being “a new sales manager” and taking numbers and moving them around and he claimed he had no memory of our conversation one day prior.Don’t do business with a dealer who allows their management to talk poorly about other dealers and make excuses why they can’t match the trade in. If you can’t match the numbers, that’s fine but don’t make excuses saying the other dealers are deceitful and are new at their jobs. It only makes you look unprofessional.

I used messenger first to reach out, got a speedy response and AN HONEST ONE! The best thing about this dealership is they actually care about their customers.I drove all the way from home, they gave me a fair deal on my trade-in, and I drove away in the vehicle I needed for my family. Michelle & Gary were phenomenal & helpful.Not to mention, I noticed a crack in my new windshield.... guess what? Theyre fixing it tomorrow morning.My kids are happy, my family now has an appropriate vehicle, and Im happy with the help I got. THANK YALL SO MUCH!
Dropped it off Sunday night for service Monday. Waited on a part until Tuesday and it was fixed. Went to pick it up Tuesday and it was actually NOT fixed. Brought it back Wednesday and was told the part was defective and that a new one would be in Thursday. Today is Friday and Ive heard nothing so I called in. Apparently my part did come today but no one called me. Next appt is for Monday. Not convenient at all. On a positive note Alex and Tom have been pleasant to work with...when I hear from them ;)
