I cant ever enjoy a name brand donut again, these donuts are amazing! The woman working the counter was very kind and helpful on my first visit. The donuts are made fresh when you order them so they are hot and delicious. The dough has such a great texture and I love each of their signature flavors. I cant wait to go back and try the other items on their menu! 🤤

Went on a Saturday afternoon, YMMV. Got a half a dozen, one of each flavor. The donuts were...ok, interesting flavors, the chunks of sugar on top add a nice touch. Overall, it was ok - I was expecting a larger selection of donuts. They have specialty drinks and breakfast sandwiches so it’s more than just donuts. Friendly service, there’s a bar and tables with high chairs, overall seating area is nice. Would recommend!

Amazing place! Latte was so smooth and delicious. The donuts were made to order and were hot and full of flavor! Service was excellent. The donuts took a little bit of time, but that is because they make them when you order them! That is why it takes a little bit of time (the donuts do not sit around all day like in most donut shops). Yes, this is more expensive than Dunkin donuts but prices are reasonable for freshly made baked goods. Love the decor and atmosphere and the staff is super kind and hard-working.

Excellent freshly made donuts with original flavors. Went opening weekend and got the lemon poppy, rhubarb agave, and bittersweet mocha, and all three were warm and delicious. I think my favorite was the lemon poppy. The inside is very modern and well decorated.

Every time I got confused, the cashier suggest their best and salable doughnut. 👌

Definitely not what I expected. Friendly people, disappointing and over priced menu. This tiny cheesecake was $3. I didnt see it until I had already paid for it. Had I known it was this small I definitely wouldnt have gotten it. The name is very misleading, they only have like 6 types of donuts lots of drink options though.

The vibe of this place is amazing! I love the color scheme, they have an amazing sparkling rosè, and the selection of donuts is so unique! I always receive great service and I love popping in to meet friends after work.

Amazing cocktails - anything with the strawberry purée is delicious (Spring Fling and Caipiri Sun I believe). That mango shooter - wow! So delicious. Loved the service from our bartender and waitress Madison. She explained everything very well and had a fantastic sense of humor. I’d go back again just to see her! And of course, the donuts are fantastic. Haven’t tried the bagels yet but they sound yummy. Love the vibe of this place matched with the personality of their fun staff.

Amazing place. Staff is personable and knowledgeable. They will guide you with their cocktail menu to the donut you should choose. Fun atmosphere, they keep the local RVA vibe through their products. I have to admit, I was cautious when they said the donuts are made to order. OMG, I was so impressed. Took a seat at the counter and was greeted by the most friendly and up-beat staff.The menu consists of six signature donuts- Vanilla Glaze- Bittersweet Mocha- Maple Bourbon- Nectarine Glaze- Blackberry Cobbler- Lemon PoppyAside from these, the offer a variety of breakfast bagel sandwiches. I went with the Nectarine with a drip coffee. It came out warm and delicious. These aren’t cake nor are they super fluffy. They are the traditional fried type which are a little more chewy. Great flavor pallet and ratio of glaze to donut. Despite being made to order, the service was fast.

Hot diggity donuts, unfortunately, fails to deliver on time or on par with expectations.What Hot Diggity does right is the strong brand it has with a retro feel inside, and great matching decor... But thats really it.Its understandable for a new restaurant to not have all the kinks worked out by day 2 but I would expect more than my experience this morning.A 30 minute wait for 4 doughnuts only an hour after opening. And for those doughnuts to be underproofed, overworked and overcooked was quite disappointing. I would have preferred to be told that there was going to be a longer wait but that the doughnuts would be made to a standard higher than a Pinterest fail.The entrance to the shop could use a sign or two to alleviate some of the confusion of where to go next. Lastly Hot Diggity could use a little less of the helicopter manager dampening the mood.I hope you guys can get a handle on the doughnut game and prove this review to be falseTomorrows a new day 👍

Visited from Charlotte for the weekend and saw this driving around. Had to stop and peek in... delicious doughnuts!! The lady who was working and her son were very friendly and gave some local advice on what to eat in Richmond. Really appreciated the welcome after a long day of travelling.

Several unique donut flavors sets them apart from other places in town. The service was super friendly and quick. Manchester needs more restaurants in the area and they are setting a great example!

The California Dreaming bagel was so fresh and delicious! You can’t go wrong with any of their drinks. Definitely going back!

Lovely. A very attractive donut shop with lovely little extras thrown in to delight you. For example, all the donuts are made fresh right before your eyes. And you can get some cute sandwiches in addition to the donuts. And you can get adult beverages in addition to coffee, which was a very lovely surprise. The donuts are the reason for dropping in, but the warm and friendly ladies providing service will bring me back.

I have issues with this place using donut in the name to draw people in. Call it something else.The fact of the matter is, they have a whole menu of food, deserts, cocktails, even kombucha on tap, and 6 donuts to choose from. That is principle concept issue #1 for me.As a lifelong baker, scientist, and overall food nerd, the donuts are not good, at least as donuts. VERY tough dough, and incredibly dense. it was not physically possible to pinch the donut with your fingers and tear off a piece. We were forced to cut hours up and eat them with a fork and knife. They are more like unboiled, fried bagels. Or round pretzles? But not a good example of either, really.From a scientific standpoint, the dough was super salty. The untrained or new chef might think this is good because in general, people have come to expect food with a high level of salt when they eat in restaurants. Its what makes restaurant food taste better then what you eat at home. But baking is chemistry, and any real baker knows that too much salt over-regulates and stunts the growth of the yeast. This slow yeast activity means low gas production, which means not many bubbles in the dough, which means there arent any to puff up with heat and fluff the dough when they are fried. This was execution issue #1.Drinks were okay. I had a mint julep with too much simple syrup and my wife had a Vesper martini (that calls for specific types/brands of gin and vodka) that used incorrect ingredients, but was still branded a Vesper.The toppings and glazes and whatnot were objectively good. Lemon poppyseed was delicious poppyseed glaze with plentiful chunks of crystalized lemon peel that exploded with flavor. The plain vanilla glaze was also very good. Subtle with vanilla sweetness. Good stuff, and for that, they get 2 stars instead of 1.

Had the Brooklyn bagel sandwich & Bellini. Took strawberry & pistachio donuts to go. The sandwich & the drink were great! Donuts were soft but I wasn’t a huge fan of the glaze, maybe I’ll try a plain glaze next time. George was friendly & attentive to my order requests.

I haven’t been back here since the first time I got donuts, almost a year ago. I knew these were a different style of donut. A friend and I split all the available flavors that day and I couldn’t even finish one. I like the creativity but there was something not right with those donuts, taste, texture and flavor combination. I still can’t figure out if it was just a badly made batch. I’d like to go back and Try to other items on the menu but I’m a bit reluctant after that experience.

First time coming in and Im big on customer service. They absolutely delivered from the cooks and front line greeting me and making me feel like I was a regular coming back. The lox bagel sandwich is already my favorite, perfectly executed and flavorful. Adding a donut to finish the meal was a nice sweet treat. Looking forward to trying the other flavors as I had the nectarine glaze and a taste of the vanilla. Serving up Blanchards coffee was a bonus as that is one of my favorites. Im looking forward to coming again.

The atmosphere is really good and thats about the best thing about it. The donuts were fine but a bit small for the price. The worst part is how long it takes for anything to come out. Some friends ordered two bagels with cream cheese. Took over 25 minutes. The beer and cocktails for my friends took about the same. My cocktail never came out because after waiting for over a half an hour I just didnt want it anymore and cancelled it.They opened with one waitress on their first Saturday night. Why the owners thought that was a good idea is beyond me. I felt bad for her.

Took my girl and her friend here for a bite. This is one of the most adorable and friendly spots in Richmond. The menu is unique and the drinks are strong but tasty. Decently priced and the atmosphere is quite relaxed

Ive visited twice now. My first visit, I got the sesame chai and the lemon poppy. The donuts were fluffy and the glaze was the perfect consistency-- not too thick, not too thin. The flavor of the sesame chai was incredible. The lemon poppy glaze had good flavor, but it was very heavy handed with the candied lemon. Candied citrus goes a long way, so a very light sprinkle would have been enough.On my second visit, I got the vanilla glaze and the chocolate spice. This time the texture of the donuts was very dense, I saw what the dough looked like before it went in the fryer and after it was cooked it didnt puff up and gain volume at all. The glazes were both way too thick and my donuts were placed in the bag still wet, so most of the glaze stuck to the inside of the bag.The staff was great and very friendly both times Ive been, but I dont think the donuts are worth returning for.

I would like to start off by saying I absolutely hate giving bad reviews, but our experience was not the best.We came here on the second day they opened, which is understandable that you wont have everything figured out. We were greeted when we walked in the door and everyone was extremely kind. But it took them 20 MINUTES to make us three donuts - vanilla, maple bourbon, and rhubarb.We had to ask twice about the status of our order and when the donuts finally came they were cold and chewy. We werent given an extra or anything for the wait. There were no sorry for the waits and honestly, the donuts were not worth the wait or the two dollars we paid for each.It was extremely disorganized and I hope its a bit better the next time we come back. Because I do believe its worth a second try!

We come into town for a local shop we use. Absolutely love the food and the service. Im sure parking can be tough on weekdays but make the effort.

Hot Diggity! Such a fun and out-of-the ordinary place to spend time with friends. Hot, fresh Bittersweet Mocha donuts made on site, with a side of Pinot Noir? YES PLEASE! The whole menu is fresh and unique. Whether you want drinks, coffee, desserts, breakfast or even a light dinner - you will have a hard time choosing what to order. It will take me several trips to try out all of my top picks! Not your run of the mill dining experience for sure. New, trendy, casual and fun - youll be missing out if you dont try it!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. However.... the donuts were inconsistently sized and cooked, resulting in some that were small and burnt, and others that were large and contained nearly raw dough. And then theres the pricetag: if we averaged the size of the donuts to create a hypothetical ideal Hot Diggity Donut, it would not be worth the $1.75 we paid; too small and too chewy.

This place is so cute. The atmosphere is a must experience. The have a boba shooter and cocktails as well as great food and doughnuts. Prices are great. Im not sure what the people below experienced but my order with two other individuals was fast and fresh.

I really wanted to love this place. The interior is adorable, the staff was super friendly, but the donuts, oh god the donuts. I love sourdough donuts. Mrs. Yoder’s is a great example of what a sourdough donut should taste like. These donuts were super dense, and chewy like a pretzel. They simultaneously tasted undercooked and overcooked. I don’t know if they aren’t using enough yeast, not proofing them correctly, or what, but they need to figure it out. The toppings were great, especially on the lemon poppyseed. It was sad to see them on such a lackluster donut. It seems like this could all be fixed with a competent baker on the staff.

It was my boyfriends birthday, and he was in the mood for a sweet breakfast treat, so we decided to check out Hot Diggity Donuts. The doughnuts were fresh and hot, as was the coffee, and the Lorraine bagel sandwich hit the spot. Kiki was wonderful and made us feel right at home - making our first visit to Hot Diggity Donuts really special. We definitely recommend this charming spot for the tastey doughnuts and the friendly service!

These are sourdough based donuts, I enjoyed the chewy texture and hint of savory flavor. It is a nice foil to the sweet glazes all of which I tested and enjoyed - my favorite was the lemon poppyseed. Bursting with lemon zest flavor and sweetness, again great with the subtle savory donut.Ramos gin Fizz and watermelon martini were strong and on par. It appears they make honest drinks with a good selection of classics and unique options. Wine and beer on tap. Their barista skills were also solid.You could also get salad, desserts, or bagels. Overall they offer a few groups of food you may not find together anywhere else, but they stick to a few items in each group and execute them well. You could really get any meal here breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack. But the main focus is desserts they call it a dessert lounge which I find inviting.Super people, outstanding service, great place to visit and talk about the awesome things going on in the neighborhood!

Wonderful customer service! Donuts were made fresh. Easy online ordering. We loved the lemon poppy seed, vanilla glazed, and maple burbon donut! The moca was ok it took on the spice flavor of the chocolate spice donut that was next to it. We did not care for the spice chocolate donut at all. The grasshopper was also not mint like we thought it would be.

One of the worst donuts I have ever tasted.-- We went there twice and both times the donuts are too oily, too rubbery, and too thin.-- We tried to notify the owner (MIKE HILD) about these changes, but instead of responding kindly about our concerns, he posted on facebook that if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it. This is very disappointing.-- If the main thing that youre selling are donuts, and its in your name, you need to get the DONUT right. If now, then you should not call yourself a donut place.

These doughnuts are awesome! These arent your normal doughnuts though. Not everyone will enjoy them. However..... If you are like me and enjoy sourdough and a rich less processed doughnut, you will love this place.The service was great and very welcoming. We tried the donuts. They were ok. We had the one with pistacho and lime - it was an odd flavor (and I like both pistachios and limes.) The maple bourbon with peanuts was better, and more like you would expect a donut flavor to be. As far as sour dough donuts go, Mrs. Yoders is better.
