I’ve shopped at Roses for years. And I came in to do a simple exchange. But the lady up front insist we must have a receipt to do a simple exchange. I explained to the lady I never received a receipt for my transaction. She went on to say, we can’t do anything without a receipt. I’ve been working in retail for years, and suddenly the rules have changed. Very poor customer experience I had. I am very disappointed in this store, I am very hesitant to return to this store if this behavior continues.

Its okay so far until the Holiday or rush hour

This is awesome to have Roses still around and expanding. Gives work g class people a convenient, less expensive way to care for their homes and families.

I love Roses. The lines are long but it is worth the wait because they have great deals and good prices. Friendly customer service reps.

I found a chewable ginger candy, that was hard on the outside but pretty consistent in texture until you bite into it. It was nice a chewy. I have not been able to find it anymore.

The merchandise was all over the place & we couldnt find anything we came in yo purchase.

I was visiting from out of town and stop by to pick up 2 items. The store is clean and organized; Staff were friendly and professional at check out without long lines. I had a great experience shopping with great bargains 10 items later.

Can find bargains here. From clothing to household items. Checking out lines can be lengthy on weekends. Best to visit weekdays.

Roses has a great selection of products like household goods such as linens and towel, lamps, lampshades, and artwork to decorate and turn your home from drab to fab. They also have a great selection of toys and a wonderful selection of womens sweaters, blouses .Roses may be a discount store but if you check them out Im sure you will find some great little treasures. Roses on Mechanicsville. I was looking for some artwork ..LOOK WHAT I FOUND.👀

Affordable prices especially on dove.Good supply of items ample parking. Checkout is a little slow but they are friendly thats why 4 stars

I did not know this was here on Mechanicsville turnpike. I have shopped the one at Southside plaza many times. This one is bigger, and looks like it could easily hold double the merchandise. Right now however they are remodeling the entire store in place, so kudos to the staff for trying to be helpful and and work in those conditions at the same time. They fill a niche in an underserved area and their presence is greatly appreciated. I will be back, if only for the $9.99 slightly irregular wranglers.

This place has lots of good buys. Name brands at discount prices. Mechanicsville Rd. location has the largest amount of stock. Wrangler mens jeans for $9.99, you bet.

I had a Wonderful time at Roses. Had not been there for a while. They were really stocked well for this virus to be going on. This was a weekly routine for me at one time. I found items there that I couldnt fine elsewhere. The staff are great! Will surely be returning soon.

I was returning an item for a refund but because I did not have the card I used for the purchase I was unable to get the refund. They also do not provide a store credit. The only option was an exchage. I did not need anything but I finally settled on toilet paper and paper towels. I didnt need those either but I can always use them.

Roses Department Store Ashland has been apart of Ashland for many years now. The staff are hard workers especially the ones that have been there for years. The prices are convenient and there are some things you can find there that you cant find any place else . There are people that come from all over to come to this particular Roses Department Store. I will continue to go there and I recommend that to other people who are shopping on a budget.

Not good at all employee did not want to go in the back to look for a TV only one TV in the whole store

The prices are good but the store is dirty and nasty. There is stock all over the floor in the aisle. There is no way they cleaning n sanitizing on a regular day let alone for the covid 19. Scary!!! They really clean the store up...

Disgusting the bathroom was disgusting very very nasty. I will never shop there again. Poop on the floor urine. I came from out of town I never seen a bathroom and store so disgusting.
