Lovely store and extremely friendly customer service yesterday. I had a few questions and the lady behind the counter was so sweet, patient and helpful. Would consider giving 5 stars, but had to drive a long way to find a location.

We were in town for a death in the family. We called and were told the store was closing earlier than post hours due to staff shortage. The owner offered to stay open late so we could come. Upon finding out we were 45 minutes away the owner offered to come back in an hour and reopen for us. He came back and was extremely pleasant. We couldn’t be more happy with the service from this store.

Had the Ham Classic with Potato Salad.....sandwich was good but wish it had a little more ham on it.....potato salad was good as well and a generous portion compared to most other places. I would prefer if they had macaroni salad though.

Cavern Club sandwich is one of the best in the world. I make a special effort to get one every week.

The staff was so friendly I drove a great distance to get there, but felt so welcome and was smiling when I left. The service is always my most important part of going anywhere. Plus the ham is always amazing!!!

Unfortunately, they are the only store in the area and its on the West End. They used to have Kiosks on Kroger from Thanksgiving through Christmas selling their various hams and turkey products. But the store does have a nice variety of everything from hams, turkeys, sandwiches, soup mixes, their name brand condiments and much more.

Honey Baked Ham is a chain that offers, as its name implies, Honey Ham. It also has other things though such as turkey.The location is pretty small and somewhat tucked away in a corner, so I strongly recommend getting directions to it on here if you want to visit it.The food is really good and consistent. They are always a safe bet if you are looking for something to have for a special meal such as Christmas. They also have a good variety of sauces and other condiments to go on your meat.There were a couple of times I have gone here where they were very busy, but that is understandable since it was during Christmas.The staff is pretty quick though and professional, so all in all its a great location.

Went to the store to get ham slices and the girl at the register said they were sold out and didn’t know when they would be doing anymore. Then, asked her how much is the smallest bone in ham and she said “ so, we don’t have anything less than an 8lb but to call tomorrow”, which is Sunday and their website said they’re closed. Very unprofessional and really liked to use the word “so”... Very disappointed

I purchased a 12 pd ham for Easter.What is very dissatisfied a lot of fat meat . And the price was ridiculous for all that would not go back

Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Good sandwiches for a simple light meal. Fountain drink, teas and drip coffee. I recommend the ham, pasta salad, dream salad and desserts only. Great place to pick up cooked ham for dinner that you can pop in the oven for 30 min to serve with dinner.I didnt like any of the frozen side dishes plus they have about a 1 hour cook time. Cold ham comes bone out for $35-45. Bone in costs more. Cold Turkey breast sliced is $30-40 (about 30-40 slices) tastes okay. There are packs of ham slices sold by the door for take home small meals. Jellies and some sauces for retail priced $6-10. Delicious pies and cakes priced $13-20.

I have been eating Honey Baked Hams for years. You can never go wrong and always have a very good experience and happy with the taste. Best known for the Hams but they serve a number of items. You can also eat lunch. It cost a little more but it is well worth the extra $s. The food is always fresh and higher quality. They cater but I have not tried this service but I have heard positive feedback. The store gets very busy around the Holidays!

Fellas, this is where you go on your first date or take your girlfriends parents to lunch after church on Sunday to show them what a sensible decision maker you are. The food tastes amazing, is reasonably priced, and is appropriately portioned. The environment is clean and laid back, with a very hospitable feel. You wont find better ham in Richmond or Virginia. Take it from me - a former resident of Smithfield VA! I highly recommend this restaurant for a comfortable low key place to have a fantastic meal!

Absolutely the best chicken salad! You can get fresh sandwiches with quality meats made to order. This place is great for picking up whole hams and turkeys for family dinners or just to stop in for a quick bite to eat.

We visit often. This time we went to get smoked rum cake and smoked turkey. The people are always very welcoming and they are very efficient. The selection is wonderful and worth the trip. We also have gotten the best ham. We will always glad to visit.

I got prepackaged sliced ham and smoked turkey. Expensive, but paid for convenience. I could do without the brown sugar. Used gravy to cut sweetness. You can get ham with or without bone. Frozen sides available. Rum cake samples were good.

Purchased a 8 lb. ham that was dry and had a funny taste. Been purchasing Honey Baked hams for 30 years.Worst one I have ever had.Truly disappointing!

Everything is unbelievably good. However CS could be a little better. Went with my elderly mom. She had to stand on line for a good 3/4 of an hour. Shed seen their signs and wanted a ham sandwich. They ran out. Yes, with all the hams they were cutting up in the back, seeing how upset she was, after her standing in line waiting, after ready 6 signs, while in line advertising them, they could not make a sandwich. (the signs were along the waiting line and on the counter, could have been removed if they didnt have any or werent going to make anymore, not attached to the walls, more like, today we have)They offered to make a turkey one instead. She doesnt eat turkey. She asked if they at least had a sample, again with all that ham getting cut, they said no. Finally, as I said I dont really need to spend the $227.00 I was in the process of paying for, wouldnt you know it, the manager in the back was able to bring a tiny sample out. This was my first time going there so I enduldged a bit and got not just the ham (maybe 8 or 9#, not sure now) that alone was $92.00.... but also the pound cakes, sampler, nuts and an assortment of condiments and sauces. It was before Christmas. I know they were busy, but come on, seeing how upset my mom was should have been your catalyst to cut a sample, not my considering to not spend money. Just how does a ham store run out of ham sandwiches and samples anyway while you can see them cutting up the hams? The food again was fantastic. Probably the best ham I ever had, but the service definitely left a bad taste.

Wow!!!! My Dept. Ordered their food yesterday it was the best box lunch Ive had in a long time. Never had it before. I didnt eat mines at work but eaten it around 8. The food was fresh as if I just ordered it. It was really good. I live in Varina but it is worth traveling to Short Pump. Thanks.

Always a great experience. Whether it is eating in or out, they are always helpful and service-oriented. Try the ham salad on a ciabatta roll for something different. Great salad!

The ham is always delicious. The cashier was friendly and the store was clean. If you have time, I would recommend preordering larger hams to make sure they have it when you get there.

Was looking around for something to eat and stumbled upon this place in Short Pump. The food was pretty good and I really liked the potato salad.

The Hams are delicious as is the ham salad & the Cinamon cake. Everything I have tried there has been delicious.

We have been ordering hams from Honey Baked Ham for many years; every Thanksgiving and Christmas that I can remember, and a few other times thrown in too. Regardless of where we live, we try to find a Honey baked ham store some like the ones in Richmond and Gainesville.It is the main dish that we brought with us to these big family holiday gatherings. Others brought turkey, chicken, roasts and whatnot... but the HGH ham was always one of the most popular dishes on the table.Over the years, as family moved to different parts of the country, the gatherings have become a bit smaller... so we now just order a smaller ham. No problems! HBH has the size we need.Always tasty. Always ready on the date & time of our reservation. Always the hit of the party. Delicious. Pricey, but worth it to us.

Kids meals..ham fresh baked bread fresh cheese....Apple juice..fresh and no tired McDonalds feelings afterwards..adult meals also beautiful crossaint wirh lettuce and tomatoe ham or sliced turkey.

Their products are so good that its worth driving 60 miles for. The people who work there are friendly.

It was great I had problems with Omaha steak and decided to use the ham company the experience was right on compared to Omaha they were a 10 verses a zero at Omaha I will never use Omaha again

My girlfriend and I have gone here 3 times for lunch and they are always out of the food we want to order. I dont understand how a business that sells food is always out of everything. The food is very overpriced for what they give you as well. Go spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I have not yet been to this location, but at another I found the food tasty with fresh salads. I am delighted to find a Richmond location.
