Derek and the rest of the service team was outstanding as always during my last visit to Nissan of Richmond. I had a few recalls to take care of and a few other concerns, and they were taken care of quickly and accurately. The communication from Derek and the rest of the team is outstanding, so I always know what to expect, and I know that my vehicle is well taken care of. They have gone above and beyond my expectations, and that’s certainly appreciated.

I had a great experience at Nissan of Richmond aka Rocking Nissan on west Broad Street in Richmond, Va. I went in for an oil change and came out work a 2021 Rogue thanks to Orlando!!! He was very professional with a natural spark for excellent customer service. I appreciate the honesty and being treating like a VIP. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Nissan products and made it very easy for me to make a choice that I’m proud of!!!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I will start by saying that everyone was pleasant to us but the process was very frustrating. I was very disappointed that this car dealership still plays the old fashioned dealership games. We were there for 3 hours and there was really no negotiation so the process really could have been fairly quick-run the credit check, determine if we qualify to buy what we’re looking at, look at cars and test drive, complete the loan and down payment transactions. We started appropriately with financial info. Permission for credit check and amount that we were willing to put down. We asked to view used, low mileage cars first but they began with new and never showed the used even though we asked again. The two person “dog and pony show” with the constant calls from the overseer above were really over the top. There was no negotiation on price just communicating about all the costs that are added on to the sticker price. The ringing of the gong and picture taking was far outside of my comfort zone and I would have refused if I had know that was going to happen. Sitting in the dealership watching videos that can be watched at home was a waste of our time. We only came to this dealership because our car broke down while we were traveling and it was towed to this dealership. Buying online or through a service like Carvana will be the route that we will take the next time.

Deceiving. The folks who welcomed us and showed the car were very sweet but when we try to lock the deal their manager jumps in and throws this whopping 5k (dealer fees) more than the actual MSRP excluding tax. They never mention that during the start or when they were showing the cars around. can you imagine paying 30k for a small car whose MSRP is 23.5.

My recent experience was by far the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had while getting work done on a vehicle. HUGE shoutout to Chandra for being extremely professional, friendly, and handled everything RIGHT AWAY. As soon as I walked in, she began ordering parts, checking inventory, and contacting their windshield expert. I am amazed by her strong communication and knowledge of my Nissan vehicle. She was welcoming and by working with her, my anxiety decreased significantly, as I knew my SUV was in good hands. I even called last minute and asked if an additional service could be added and right away, Chandra made it happen. Saved me a trip and my car was taken care of.

Phil the Service manager is absolutely amazing. Phil is honest and he will do whatever it takes to resolve the situation. I had a horrible experience with Hyman brothers of Richmond the Nissan dealership for my daughters car so I just happen to pick up the phone and get Phil at this dealership . After explaining to him what I was told by the other dealership, he was not only able to resolve the problem that we had but was able to find out that it was a warranty issue. This dealership has our loyalty for life and it is all because of Phil!!

I made an appointment online thinking someone would be there waiting for me only to find a very surely receptionist who after being told 3 times how to say my name could not be bothered to even try to pronounce correctly! I was then pointed over to a gentleman at at desk and before even sitting down the finance manager swooped in immediately start hammering me about my budget and what I was trading in. I explained I would not be trading anything in and this would be a second vehicle for my husband to use for commuting to work. He then began to obsess over where my husband was even going so far as to ask for his phone number even after I explained I was purchasing the vehicle and would be paying cash. It was clear that he didnt believe me and felt I was a waist of his time. I was told multiple times the car was out of my budget when I had told him a what a general idea of my budget, which was right at what the car was listed at online. After asking multiple times what the out the door price of that car was I finally was given a ballpark that was $5,400 over what is was listed online!! After asking more about this is appears the buyer is charged for anything found wrong with the vehicle during the inspection process such as new tires, parts ect and that is added on to the advertised price. This was only discovered after asking multiple times and being ignored or redirected. This was one of the worst customer service experience I have ever had or witnessed. It was clear I was judged from the moment I walked in the door and no one cared.

This is a zero star review. But google doesn’t let me pick zero stars.Today made an appointment for test driving a Nissan Pathfinder. I was checked to see a VIP sales manager. I sat down and proceeded to answer all the questions they asked about my car buying timeline and budget only to be told that I can only “look” at a pathfinder but cannot test drive it as I quote as per Chris Lawson the sales manager that “ people want low miles on the new cars they buy so we only let you test drive if you are buying”. At that point I told him to “ keep the car” and called the appointment number to launch a complaint. Chris said that even though I have a appointment to test drive, the appointment people are not at the dealership and hence don’t know the current situation!!!!! So they are just giving you appointments to waste your time. Also, Chris claimed that he only has one Nissan Pathfinder at the dealership (5 miles on the odometer). I can visit their online inventory and it shows 6 pathfinders!!!!He also said at the beginning of the appointment that he is all about customer satisfaction 🤯

Local dealership? Not exactly. I wanted to test drive a 2022 62 Kw Nissan Leaf and soon found myself texting with someone who identified herself as Tina Miller with Nissan of Richmond. I live about an hour from Richmond, so I went out of my way to verify that the Nissan I wanted to test drive was, in fact, in Richmond. Are you sure? I asked. According to your website you dont have any Leafs whatsoever on the lot. She wrote back: We just received them, so we have no updated the website. Great. I made an appointment to test drive the car. The next morning, I drove an hour to the dealership and guess what? They didnt have any Nissan Leafs on the lot. It turns out Tina Miller with Nissan of Richmond is actually in Florida. Im not sure how much money they saved by outsourcing the task of communicating with customers. All I can say is it lost them a customer who was otherwise really hoping to buy a car.

This dealership sold me a Rogue Sport in late January whose inspection was to expire in February!I have had 2 oil changes since, and no one noticed that during the “complimentary multi-point inspection!”And now I can’t get an appointment to get it inspected?! The online scheduling shows no available appointments & no one answered any of my 5 calls!None of that is “great to work with!”That’s more like, “Nissan of Richmond can’t be trusted!”The hours are only while people are at work, and there’s no rental cars or shuttle service!HORRIBLE place to deal with!The PEOPLE in service are great, generally, but the policies are ridiculous!!!

We drove 3 hours from MD to this dealership. When we got to the dealership we were seen before our appointment. After we sat down, no one offered refreshments but all other customers were asked if they would like water or coffee. After sitting down and talking to the “manager” first question was, “ what is the price you seen online?” I was thrown off buy the question because they should know the price of each car. Secondly, he kept asking for our budget so we can show us another car in that budget. He was not interested in selling the car I drove 3 hours for and had cash in my pocket to pay. Not sure how long he’s been a manger but I know it won’t be much longer.

I have bought five cars from this dealership most of the experiences were good, but until recently my son bought a 2021 Nisan titan from there, the sales department were and are terrible to him Mike the sales manger is a complete rude individual! There is another worker there, named Leo. He was also so rude on the phone to me when I called up there. They (random people)kept hanging the phone up on me. Don’t want to deal with their mistakes with my sons truck. My son knew the experiences that I had was good so be bought his truck and have had problems with it since. I will NEVER buy another car from that place as long as it’s being ran like this so probably never again!

Made an appointment through their website to look at a specific used vehicle. I was contacted by email, phone and text. The email said the General Manager had approved everyone being giving employee pricing. The text assured that the vehicle was on the lot and would be ready for me to see when I arrived. Once at the dealership, I learned that none of the communications were from the dealership, but were from their online booking service (a third-party contractor); I was also told that the online price was the bottom line (despite the website indicating that I could get my VIP Locked Price by setting the appointment), and the salesman would not show me the vehicle unless I agreed to pay it -- otherwise he would see if he could get me in a vehicle in my price range. I walked out at that point -- as this is a classic car dealer bait and switch -- They advertise a low mileage used vehicle at a good, but not great price and imply that there is room to negotiate, then when a customer asks to see the vehicle, the dealer wont show it to them until they agree to pay the advertised price -- and instead will try to sell them a different car. I am sure that if I had insisted on seeing it, I would have been told oh, its on a test drive or its being inspected or theres a pending buyers order, so we cant show it to anyone.Follow up -- yesterday (October 4, 2021) I received a voicemail (supposedly from the dealership but more likely from the third-party booking service) telling me that they had great news on the car I was interested in and I should call right away. Note that they didnt mention the make or model. I checked the website and the vehicle was no longer listed in the inventory.

Terrible experience, will lie and finesse anyway to sell you a car. I love the car I bought, but I had to haggle for 3 days about pricing. When I asked to speak to a manager the salesman told me I can talk to God then ran away like a little girl. When I finally spoke to a manager, he said he couldnt do anything and that I had to take it up with the salesman, who refused to come from the back of the dealership. Again I love my car, but this dealership has lost my business.

I set up a test drive at this dealership, only to get there and find out they do not have the car I wanted to check out. I asked if they were getting one soon, and the answer was no. Lesson learned, they will say anything to get you in the store. I would recommend any other dealership before this one.

Initially had my doubts regarding this dealership due to the salespeople I dealt with on the phone prior to going to the dealership but I must say I was pleasantly surprised that there were good honest folk at the dealership when I got there. Charles was able to go above and beyond in getting me something that I would be happy with and within my budget. The salesman by the name of Joe was pushy and did not seem to want to work with me. I felt rushed and when I wanted to look at another vehicle he proceeded to say that he could not continue working with me. I would have liked to work with someone more personable but i’ll be going elsewhere. The representatives appear to be pleasant over the phone but when you arrive it’s a different story.

Called 3 different sales personnel about purchasing a vehicle without a call back. Finally had to do the online process to place an order for a vehicle before getting a call the the Internet salesperson. Finally was able to get the car purchased, after he forgot to include sales tax. Surprise an extra expense. Internet sales person said the sales guys are spoiled with many sales so don’t call back to sell.Skip ahead 3 months. Good luck calling the dealership after the purchase. You’re a has been sale. Yes, you will reach a sales person on the phone, anyone else, forgot it. Even operators mailbox is full. Disconnects, full mailboxes, no answering. You’ll have to leave the department a voicemail if mailbox is not full. Going on 2 days without a call back. Email? Yes I’ve emailed as well, 2 days no reply. So all in all, you may be able to purchase, but good luck getting a person to answer questions after the purchase. I’d avoid this dealership until they hire more help.

Horrible... giving one star as the salesman was a good guy and informative, really did his job, otherwise would give a 0 for the rest... Buyer Beware!Spent the time looking at a vehicle to make sure it was what we wanted, etc. after driving 40 miles for a “good, but not too good to be true deal”.Went to purchase vehicle and that is when I was notified that the sales price was close to $4000 more than advertised due to it being “certified”... which advertised price was with it being “certified”. I explained I wasn’t haggling for a lower price than advertised, just was looking to pay advertised price which was the same price the salesman told me it was before we went to do paperwork. I was told they couldn’t do that. My recommendation is go to Hyman Brothers who I have dealt with before and had impeccable service.

Zero star review. My wife purchased a new car here in 2015 and we have paid it off. It came with free oil changes and inspections for life. She recently scheduled an oil change only to be told that they have stopped the free oil changes and inspections with no notice and she was charged, out of the blue. She had to drive more than an hour to get there and we could have paid, half the price, to have an oil change done 10 minutes away!!! VERY bad practices. We will never be back.

Nissan of Richmond is the worst dealership in the Richmond area. The customer service is horrible. I told the sales manager my budget. He completely disregarded the information and showed me cars out of my price range saying, you can afford this. Then he says, I can get you an interest rate of 1.9%, and you can get a brand new car with low payments. The vehicle cost $16,495 with all the fees and taxes the car was $21,939.49. One of the fees is a service recon which was 2,989.00.

Very bad experience with purchasing a Nissan Rogue. The service of the store is no service. No one answers your phone. Even if having someone answers your phone call, very rude to cut the call. Promise to replace the leather seat within 10 days, but it took more than 45 days. To replace the leather seat, I had to go to the store 3 times. It is an unscrupulous shop. Just want to grab your money, then it is all yours.

We went to view a car yesterday. We were told by sales associate that the advertised price would be at least $6k on top of online price [used car, $8995] Due to all service items, tyres etc. We left and called the Manager to clarify this info [as you can imagine, this is not something we have dealt with before]. Hung up on multiple times. They call me back and hang up when I answer. Clearly dont need our business which, we are happy to take elsewhere. But seriously, is this where we are at with a high profile dealership? NO THANKS. My cash [and we are cash buyers] will be going elsewhere.

We did not find this dealership to be honest. We found two used low mileage cars on their website. We called in the morning to make sure the cars were there and to schedule an appointment. When we got there, they said they couldnt find the keys to the lower mileage car. Ok, fine. We test drove the other car and it was as expected. We sat down to talk price and they told us there was an additional $6000 reconditioning/cleaning fee. Yep, an additional 6000 plus all the usual taxes, fees, etc. They had many excuses as to why the price on the website did not include the additional $6000. We couldnt believe it and left. Very disappointing.

I was told there was employee pricing when making an appt. When I got there, they said there was no employee pricing, it was just to get us in the door. I advised the two salesmen that I was already pre-approved with a great rate from a local credit union. They proceeded to provide figures with a significantly higher interest rate knowing I have excellent credit (748 FICO). The payment was way out of my range. They went back and adjusted the numbers with a lower interest rate - shouldnt they be giving me the best rate to start? There was a 5k destination fee that was never mentioned prior to the proposed final numbers. I did end up purchasing a pathfinder only because I loved the vehicle and I know inventory is low right now. However, they gave us false information to get in the door and didnt even start with the best interest rate - we felt bamboozled afterwards and I wouldnt go back here to buy a vehicle. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 only because the one salesman that took us on the test drive was very knowledgeable and informative (he was not the one selling us the car) - it was the manager. Ive experienced sales pressure before but not false information and down right trying to take advantage of me. I wish I had checked out another Nissan dealership before making a final decision.

What an awful experience! I too communicated with someone online and had an appointment to meet him, however he was not in. I was set up with a new salesman who was very nice and just doing as he is being told. However I wanted to see the 2020 pathfinder that was advertised for $26,780 that number was published online as was the 0% for 60 months financing. I just wanted to see the car and take it for a test drive to see if we even liked the car.....to which we were given a long numbers game before we even test drove. Once returning the price was NO where near $26,780 to which they replied that would be with every single discount. I felt like I was in an awful timeshare hard sell!

We were in the market for a used car which we made very clear when talking to the sales man. Despite this he kept trying to convince us to get a new car. During the test drive, when we made it clear again that we really werent interested in a new car, the salesman lost interest and watched videos on his phone in the back seat for the rest of the drive.We had a much better experience with the finance guy, who was very helpful and personable. We did end up buying a car that I am very happy with.

My experience with Nissan of Richmond has been a complete disappointment! For the past few years they have been trying to buy back my maxima. I’ve recently had to have repair services done due to my car cutting off in the middle of driving. So I take it to Nissan of Richmond, where I tell them over and over that I think it is an alternator problem. Fast forward $3600 later I’m still having the same problem. I have gone to them over and over, missing work, being stranded for hours, etc. Each time I let Phil know I still believe it is the alternator, which he always replies no it is not. Well about the sixth time of me having to let them “check things out”, he gives me a call back later the next day stating that it actually was an alternator problem. So this time when I pick my car up the AC is no longer working. At this point I no longer want them to touch my car. Now I have a leak and I’m sure that they did this to my car. They wanted to get as much money out of me as they possibly could before fixing the real problem as well as creating a new one. Right now I am working with a lawyer to rectify the situation since Nissan will not. Also I will be contacting channel 12 news on your side so that I can get the word out about Nissan of Richmond and how they are ripping people off. I am a single mother and I can Not afford to be ripped off to this extent by a business who is supposed to be honest. My car is even more screwed up than it started out and I am very angry and I will get down to the bottom of this Nissan of Richmond!!! I want ALL of my money back, plus compensation for my time, energy, work, etc. including finding a more honest mechanic.I would also like to add that none of the managers are ever available or are in their offices. The chic who answers the phone named Jocelyn was very rude and I’m pretty sure she’s told to just give an email address of Don or Aaron to any customers who complain. They don’t respond to emails or phone calls. Also, Nissan of Richmond do NOT respond to this review simply asking me to call the main number. More needs to be done. These 4&5 star reviews have GOT to be BOGUS!
