Pizza Express is simply the best. Sometimes i order delivery or pick up myself and Im never disappointed. They provide fantastic portions and have quality ingredients. The chicken wings are so delicious/crispy and I cannot resist their flavorful pizza. Try them before any large commercial pizza chain!

I never tried an amazing pizza in my life as the one I had there. Its definitely has the NYC pizza style, you are not eating only bread but also a different flavors and super fresh meat and vegetables.My husband doesnt ever eat during the night bcz of his stomach sensitivity, but when it comes to pizza express, he would eat with no problem. Price is reasonable for the 5 stars food you are getting.

Just got my delivery! Pizza was awesome, just like NY style whoo hoo!! Delivery guy- I should have asked his name- was awesome and so so nice! They did a great job especially considering I ordered before closing, sorry! No one else was delivering this late for NY style pizza! I appreciate the fast service, great service, and yummy food! Bad service, I order a salad for my mom and I they told me that the salad wasn’t in the menu, but they will make it the same, it was 7.25$ (medium size), it has spinach, eggs (i replace it for black olives), shrimp and something else! So I imagine that for the salad 7.25$ was the total price! But it wasn’t! The girl put a salad that cost 6.95$ and charge me 5$ extra for the shrimp! And that was a robbery because, they need to be specific with the price (because if it’s more money I won’t buy it), it has to be 7.25$ not a additional cost for the shrimps, because the shrimp was already in the price of 7.25$And also they didn’t tell me the total and didn’t give any receipt.

Horrible service & ridiculous prices. Don’t even give you a receipt after your purchase. Will never ever come back. My aunt has been here before and recommended to me but even her has surprised with the poor service and food we got that day

The day of yesterday, Tuesday. I was the victim of a robbery at this location. I was in a family group, and each family made they orders separately and my order was a simple salad that got them it’s supposed called “salad” and its size was so smaller (embarrassing). Literally I ate it in 4 little bites, it was a microscopic salad with four little shrimps on top, it was a poor salad that I’ve seen in my life. And it’s cost were 15$ when in other place it’s free and also a side. I recommend to never go to this place because the bad attention, expensive sooo much expensive, I couldn’t eat because I need to eat healthy and it was so expensive and so little the salad I had! And it was a pessimist and disgusting experience.Also they don’t give any receipt that I could check my order, and they didn’t told me about the total cost.

Had Italian and pepperoni pizza slice and coke. The pizza was great and the Italian sausage had been sliced Italian sausage instead of chain pizza sausage. Great service and for the price, great pizza.Although supposed to be take out or delivery, seating was comfortable for eat in.

I cant say anything about pizza but my car got stranded in the parking lot of this shopping center. One of the gymnastics teachers got a worker from the pizzeria to help us with the jump. Character and kindness matter.

Absolutely amazing!! Awesome customer service!! The calamari is divine, and the marinara dipping sauce is straight from Italy! The caesar salad is extremely delicious and the bread, outstanding! Definitely recommend this Pizzeria, their flavors are authentic and amazing!

I feel crazy that Ive been living less than 2 miles from Pizza Express for 13 years and only tried them just a month ago. Ive been looking for real pizza for a long time and their pizza is amazing. Big slices, real dough, real meat, fresh veggies, Im not lying - its the best pizza Ive ever had. Id recommend the Meat Lovers. The BBQ wings are impressive too - great sauce and the wings are cooked just right. I have to limit myself to a few visits per month but I found my pizza joint and a lifesaver during this Covidian apocalypse. Seriously, 5/5 no doubt.

Pizza Express has the best pizza in all of Richmond hands down. The gooey cheese on their large pizza slices leaves you completely satisfied. A must have for dessert is their nutella pizza and it doesn’t get any better than that.

Rude and incompetent store owner. Doesnt take responsibility for her workers mistakes and makes no improvements based on trends. 1 2 & 3 star reviews outmatch the overall 4 star reviews likely written by coworkers. Been coming here for almost 10 years and it’s unfortunate that they can’t keep slices ready to go. The last 4 times I have come there is no pie already cooked. Been buying hot and ready slices from here for years. Worker gave some BS excuse as to why it wasn’t made already. It is lunch time. The pizza should (and has been for years) be ready when customers arrive. Once again I’ve wasted my lunch break on false hopes. Not sure if it’s new ownership or just poor worker choice but I wont be spending any money here anymore.

We have been ordering from Pizza Express for years now. Their food and service have always been excellent! Due to the virus we have ordered delivery almost every weekend. They havent missed a beat! Much appreciated.

I think the dough and the sauces are homemade. I tried their cheese slices and they were really good. They were also huge. 2 slice and a soda will fill you up good. I have to try their other menu items. Seems like they would be good too.

They have the very best authentic Chicken Wings. I mean I’ve eaten at the places them specialize in them and Pizza Ezpress is right up there.Totally awesome Chicken Wings and the price is right too.

We are good customers. We order from this place at least once a week normally. Today we ordered at 6:55pm and got out order around 7:30. Our calamari was not delivered. So we called and they said it was coming. At 8:20 we call and they get nasty with us and Im kinda disappointed because we ordered this so we paid for it and yall didnt deliver it to us. Wont be ordering from here because that is unnecessary especially to a loyal customer. We spend money on doordash and their online website. No thank you to the customer service.

Pizza Express seems to be one of Richmond’s best kept secrets. They’re tucked away in an innocuous shopping center, but they serve up some of the best to go Italian food in the area. Their pizza never disappoints, and their bolognese sauce (which tastes homemade) is absolutely delicious. The portions are very generous, and I always have enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

Delivery driver delivered my food to the WRONG apartment complex and when I called because I still havent received my food they gave me a hard time and said it had been delivered. I gave the correct address!! I demanded a refund and to speak to the manager and was told they were not in. WORST experience and even worse customer service!!!

Excellent customer service. Havent had authentic Italian food as good as PIZZA EXPRESS,since moving here from BALTIMORE,MARYLAND. I wanted to order. Lasagna,antipasta,along with other items for CHRISTMAS dinner. My order was personally taken by owner. I made a special request and he was able to fulfill my request without question. Something that reminded me of my father. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. You also get a satisfying meal for your money. Also located in an easy to find and safe place. 100% my favorite pizza in Richmond; one slice is huge and very filling. Their delivery is usually pretty quick and their menu is huge. Their subs and curly fries are also tasty. They deliver beer and wine as well.

So Ive been living in Richmond, VA since 2014. I seriously tried for years to find the pizza of my childhood. The first time I tried pizza Express I was sooooo excited to find the pizza that I had been looking for. This pizza is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!

Nice little pizza place. The staff is friendly and they do a good job with special requests. Food is delicious and ready fast, and they can handle a large order on short notice. If ordering for kids, they will double slice it upon request.

Actually went to a birthday party next door, but they had Pizza Express. Ive only had the cheese and pepperoni, but they were really good. A thinner crust than most places.

I ordered chicken and shrimp Alfredo, wings, and a sweet tea today for my lunch break at the hospital I work at via DoorDash. DoorDash did not charge me for the added chicken and shrimp, so this restaurant decides to not make my order and doesn’t even contact me. I’m at work waiting around for a notification that my order is about to be delivered. I never receive the order because the restaurant refuses to make my food without the extra payment that NOBODY CONTACTED ME ABOUT. I waited for over an hour at my job in which I am working with covid19 patients plus more. I understand that DoorDash should have charged me for the added shrimp and chicken but during times like this You’d think they would understand. This would have been my first time eating here. I won’t be eating here ever. By the way my order was over $30 total.Edit: Pizza express donated food to our dept in the hospital which we are grateful for. Thank you!

I was having a long terrible day ! The kind that make you question wether this existsence is all a big mistake! And I saw this place in back of a shopping center and wanted anything other than another value meal and a jaded clerk to remind me of me! I found a warm crew who cares if I was happy and more! I needed that! Oh and the food was the first to rival my all time fav Mary Angela’s on Cary st. I wish this place and the energy in it would thrive double and triple for the sake of my last ten experiences eating out!

Great crust makes great pizza. There are a few brick oven pizza places in the Richmond area and I have tried most in the west end searching for one with crust good enough to put a pizza on. Pizza Express has that nice crispy/chewy combo you really seek along with a great flavor. They put a good sauce on that crust and good toppings. They make great garlic knots too.

Prices have just gone off the charts here. Its now $16.95 plus tax for a medium 3-topping. Their pizzas are delicious, some of the best around, but I simply cant justify paying so much when I can get a perfectly good pizza for $8 elsewhere. Its a real shame that I wont be buying from them anymore.

My grilled chicken salad was Great. Just didnt appreciate how the server treated me. He drop my change on the counter(like my color will rub off on him) and didnt give me the correct change back like Im stupid. Also didnt make me feel welcome, I had to wait on him to take my order. Didnt complain because I use my gift certificate to purchase my food. Wanted to go back to try the lasagna but I dont think so. But the delivery was friendly to me when he came back.

Most reviews on here are accurate. Pizza was good, but I would not say its the best of anything. I was pretty much the only person in there and I ordered fries with my pizza and they forgot the fries lol. We have been eating here for many years. Over the last six months I have ordered from here more frequently. Most of the time we order either sandwiches or Pizza. It has been consistently very good, and at times, outstanding. My favorite sub is the Chicken Philly Supreme, and my kids love the pizza. My wife gets a Greek Salad which is as good as any you will see in town. They have fast and friendly service, and reasonable pricing. I have ordered countless times, and never had any complaints.

Called to order pizza and wings but the special was for a large. I asked for a medium special and was told no. So I order my pizza from another place. I went in to get my wings and being a good customer I wanted to tell the manager that he should have a medium special as well. When I spoke with him, he was very rude. I explained the situation and he said well if I lost your business then why are you here. These guys dont understand customer service in the least. There are a lot of other pizza places around, I will go to one who appreciates my business.

Owner is very rude and pizzas are way overpriced. They need to rethink the pricing scheme and treat their drivers and employees better. Was told there were no dough balls left and that they closed in ten minutes. Owner has no customer skills. Had to talk to an employee to see if there were any pizzas left the only thing special about this place is the constant crudeness and money grubbing attitude. I wont be coming back and hope you wont either. Come on Stephanie have some common sense.

Great subs. The pizza is ok but the Chicago crust was not even close to what I remember eating in Chicago. Most of the pasta is good too.

Joseph- I am very confused by your post. The owner isnt rude, in fact he is one of the most caring men I know. I have eaten his food for 15 years. There are employees that still work at Pizza Express since the restaurant opened in 2007. If Filippo didnt treat them well, they wouldnt have stayed so long. Sounds like you have a personal conflict with one of the staff. If so, please keep that separate. This is not the appropriate nor professional place to air that out.

Horrible management to go along with their poor customer service! They delivered the wrong order and refused to make it right. Asked if I could at least be issued a credit toward my next order and the manager hung up on me. Extremely rude! Not only have they lost a customer for life, but after this chargeback goes through, they will lose $15 as opposed to $5 credit which I would have happily accepted as appeasement for their error.
