First I would like to say I have shopped and donated to Habitat stores for many years. Since my recent move to the area I have tried to shop at the Rincon Location and I am very discouraged. Since I have been a loyal customer in another state I know the pricing stucture for Habitat stores. This store is WAY overpriced. Someone needs to address this with the store staff.

Loved this place when it first opened. Got some great deals, and it was always fun to dig around. But they don’t price everything... and when you ask how much something is, they say prices that you would pay at a retail store! (Found a beautiful dresser there recently and she said it was $199!!!!) Unfortunately, my friends have had the same experience, so they will lose more and more business operating this way. Hopefully, they go back to pricing things the way they should be priced... as a thrift store.

The store is extremely unorganized and dirty. Prices are often higher than eBay/amazon or even retail. Today: Two large cement planters $45 each. Roger Rabbit lunchbox 1987 $12 (cheaper and better condition on Ebay). Stained glass panels $275. Used large mirrors $67. Fabric Laundry hamper (dirty) $12.

My automobile broke down when I arrived in your parking lot. I asked BJ for a jump and he helped me. That wasnt my problem and he tried to diagnose my problem. Not only was he very helpful, but 3 or 4 others assisted me. I ended up having it towed but your staff gave perfect assistance to me that I am extremely grateful for. God Bless Habitat for Humanity.

The store is overflowing with items. After asking about pricing, I got a very clear picture as to why. I understand trying to resale some items that were not donated. The issue is we already have market saturation with those stores. When you are pricing above those stores that have professional level furniture restorations, you won’t move much. It’s not just the furniture. Most housewares were overpriced. Even caked dirty children’s toys (some which belonged in the trash) were priced higher than the surrounding thrift shops. There’s no question as to why the same items aren’t being moved. Then there were the ladies. One treated me like I asked her to move a mountain when I requested to see a children’s toy from under the glass. And no it wasn’t a collectible like she claimed because I was already knowledgeable about the toy in the first place. Then looking at the doors. Used doors. These are not brand new doors, but we’re priced higher than Lowe’s. What is happening? Why in the world are you price gouging thrift items? It’s a shame. There are some nice things, but none that deserve the outrageous price tags. And they are rude. I heard multiple people question her about prices. They were all shocked at the answers given. I’m sure you are tired of being questioned about prices, but the questions are warranted. The reactions from the customers would seem to be a clue to most businesses about where the problem lies.Bottom line: we have a lot of resale stores in our area. Total market saturation. Your items are priced higher than all surrounding stores. Your furniture is often priced above the resale stores that have had pieces professionally redone. I do t expect this to be fixed. Looking at previous replies from your store tells me that this will likely go over like a pregnant pole vaulter, but it’s worth a shot of it means a reality check.
