It is a friendly place to stay for lunch with friends and family. I love the decor and renovation. Food and drinks are above standard, reasonable price for lunch, we spent average $25 per person (tax and tip included). Our waitress is very nice. We will revisit again if we visit Saskatoon in a late time.

Hometown is a go to for us. We love the atmosphere and the food. Ive had a large portion of the menu, and I cant recommend the scrambler enough. I also enjoyed the Burger a lot. I also would recommend the Chicken & Waffles (pictured) and I suggest adding an egg on top. Service is always phenominal and prompt. Coffee is good too. So thats a big plus.

Me and my two daughter walked by and stopped in for some food. The waffles and berries were delicious the whip cream was made with real cream!Oh gosh and the chicken and waffles was good! A bit spicy but I really cant eat anything spicy but it was worth the burn.Definitely will come back

I had the Salmon Benedict the salmon was a bit off and the English muffins (bread) were too hard, trust me I know what its supposed to be like. I dont normally send anything back but I had to, and so I ordered the scrambler but the chef use the same fishy eggs from the salmon Benedict that I sent back and that spoils the scrambler. the mocha coffee was very good tho and the waiter was nice. Oh, I order medium-soft eggs and I got them hard.

Visited for the first time today, was not disappointed. Had the chicken and waffles and it was great. This place has its own spice on things and it’s delicious!

Fantastic restaurant, coping with restrictions to keep employees and customers safe. The food was quick and delicious. I tried the chicken bacon club sandwich with a side of fruit. The bacon was the thick, smokey stuff. I thought having zucchini on a sandwich would be weird, but it was thinly sliced and cooked just right to be soft. The aoli has a slight kick, but not very spicy. Fruit was just ripe, not overly ripe. Nice decor - would strongly recommend coming in to dine or having take out during the current outbreak.

Amazing place. I went there for lunch with my friend. We ordered Mediterranean Bowl & Chicken Bacon Sandwich. It was great..Sandwich was amazing, crispy. Bowl could have been better. Sago added in the bowl was dry. If it had more gravy it would have been better.But overall its a good dining place with options for food, drinks and desserts !

A great place for brunch! This is one of the few places in town that serve salmon lox, which had a nice smokey and tangy flavor to it. I ordered a normal breakfast, so everything else was rather run of the mill, but the ingredients were fresh.Im knocking off 1 star because the service was pretty slow, even taking into account the number of people in the restaurant. Not a huge deal because we were sipping on coffee and chatting, but keep that in mind when you visit.

Came for a late brunch yesterday and had an excellent experience all-around. Cool urban industrial style inside with tons of space. Our server was very attentive and helpful. The huevos rancheros was delicious and had an elevated presentation. They were closing soon and had many leftover donuts that they were going to throw out so our server very kindly gave us our choice of a free donut. The raspberry jam-filled donut was tasty, especially the homemade raspberry jam.

The food is delicious and staff is friendly! Very clean and quick to sanitize after guests leave. Very satisfied with my visit !!

I visited Hometown Diner with my family and enjoyed delicious food and great service. In the end we had an incident with our server which turned our positive experience into a negative one. I’m not one to complain, but I did share my experience with the manager. She was very upset hearing my experience and handled the situation perfectly. She was very kind and gave my family $100 to return for a better experience. Awesome!

Accidentally came 10minutes to kitchen close and was greeted so positively. Such a lovely atmosphere and honestly cannot wait to go back. The servers were so kind and so eager to still seat us and I’m SO thankful. It was my very first time coming here and I know it won’t be my last. Delicious food, great atmosphere and even better service. Can’t ask for more 💫

My friends and I ate here twice for breakfast twice while we stayed in Saskatoon because it was so awesome! The service was friendly and quick. Everyone at their table loved their food and drinks they ordered.We had Carly and Ranae and they both were excellent and went above and beyond! Definitely wish we had Hometown in Manitoba, but will definitely return if I’m ever in Saskatoon again.

I am obsessed with this place! The food is delicious and good portion. They make really good coffee and I really like their price point.I love to finish my meal with a nice hot macchiato and donuts. My favorite things on the menu are their avocado toast, Ukrainian breakfast and their brekki bun.I would also like to add I absolutely love the aesthetic and ambiance.Today I decided to explore and got their Mediterranean bowl and I was not disappointed!Over all a really nice experience and I would definitely recommend!

Best brunch in town, hands down. I rant and rave about Hometown Diner so much, I figured I’d finally write a review. Unreal food, intense flavour, extremely friendly staff, beautiful building. Everyone I bring in for their first time is never disappointed. You cannot go wrong with Hometown Diner!!!

My fave breakfast spot in Saskatoon. I’ve been here plenty of times and I always get the same salmon Benny and I always add avocado! Their hash browns are so good and the hollandaise sauce is my favorite!

This is a great place. Always something different about the way they make items.Always good at least everything I tried. There donuts should be looked at as a very cheap dessert not an expensive donut! They are much more than that! (at least my Tiramisu one was)

Heuvos Rancheros was delicious, chicken and waffles also a hit. You will need to make mobile reservation, dont expect to walk in. Pricey, but we will go back.

I really love this place and their food is decent however it gets overshadowed by the extremely long time it takes from the time you order your food to when it arrives. I think this would be my biggest issue and has deterred me from eating here as often as I’d like too cause it’s sooo good.

It was packed when we got there understandably. We got seated at the bar which allowed us to chat with the staff a bit and all of them were super nice and friendly. Food was great, wait was a bit long (understandable because it was packed). They kept coffee filled and we took some donuts to go!

We went for breakfast around 9am.The four of us were seated almost immediately, and had our drinks there within a minute or so.I got the berry waffle and it was super good 👌Our waitress was also very friendly and personable.10/10 experience

Tried out this breakfast/brunch establishment while in Saskatoon for work. Very nice decor with a trendy yet cosy atmosphere. The menu had good choices of dishes. Tasty and very nicely presented. Servers were friendly and informative. Prices are reasonable. Parking is on the streets.

Excellent huevos ranchero, with a margarita on the rocks. I had been missing the taste of Mexico. It was delicious. My partner had the chicken waffles and stopped just short of licking the plate.Decor is modern with reclaimed brick and white tile, done perfectly. Staff are attentive, knowledgable, and friendly.An excellent brunch.

Delicious breakfast options, relaxing asthetic with lots of plants, and very friendly staff! My husband got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which he loves and talks about all the time lol. His side was the hashbrowns.. excellent crispy baked potatoes with parmesan and herbs. I got the egg and bacon sourdough panini, which was also fantastic. It wasnt too greasy, and I loved the hint of spiciness in the sauce.We used the Google waitlist and it was very helpful.. estimated wait time was an hour at first but the time got cut down to half that amount with an alert and call to make sure we were coming and still wanted a place held.

My fiance and I went here for breakfast on Saturday. It is a great establishment, cozy and laid back atmosphere. I ordered myself the Ukrainian Brekkie, good perogies, small sliced serving of a sausage (quite disappointed about) for $16.Great choices on the menu, a little on the pricey side I feel, but the food is good - so its still worth the visit for sure. I cant say enough great things about this place! Every item we ate was super delicious! The best donut Ive ever eaten it was a raspberry vanilla that was tasty tasty tasty! It was hard to pick what item to eat the choices were all so tempting. You have to try it here!

My absolute favourite brunch spot in Saskatoon! They have all the classics (eggs benny, BLT sandwich, chicken and waffles), but it’s like they use secret, extra fresh and flavourful ingredients to make everything burst with flavour!I’m a big fan of the hipster ambiance. First visit to Hometown Cafe. Had the eggs Bennie. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Delicious hollandaise. Service was great too!The music was loud when we first came in but our server turned it down for us which was awesome! Would definitely recommend

Beautiful atmosphere, love the greenery and the brick walls! The service was really lovely, however you had to shout over how loud the music was playing- I think turning it down a bit would make everyones life easier especially with masks being involved. There is no kids servings I do believe establishments like this maybe are potentially ....not ....family friendly!? Other than that, the food was really nice and the display of the food even better. I would come back as a soloist!

I wasnt sure about this place because of its location but after visiting it is officially one of my favorite breakfast places. The food is always great, the staff are all friendly and they have homemade donuts! What more do you need! We try to visit at least once a month. This place is great! Recommend

Great place for a breakfast date... We splurged a little, it was all good, the Salmon Eggs Benedict was so good after eating we went The Cure Charcuterie to purchase some of their delicious cured Diefenbaker Lake Trout to have at home. Asparagus and real hollandaise sauce were fresh and excellent.

Had Sunday brunch here a few weeks ago. It was packed. There was a 25 minute wait which we were totally okay with because collective coffee is just a few doors down. The service was fantastic from the hostesses to the servers. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. I love, love, love the central, super modern plant chandelier(that’s the best way I can describe it) It adds warmth to the otherwise very open space. Everything on the menu is mouth watering. I was eyeing all of the food being delivered to the guests around me. Everything looks and smells so delish. It took me 15 minutes to decide on what I wanted to eat, there’s so many great options. Anyway, I decided to get the very hearty and filling Breakfast BLT. It was so good. I will definitely be visiting again!

Its one of my favourite brunch spots in town. The decor is always so welcoming as well as the staff. The menu options all sound so tasty yet I always stick to my tried and true perogies and sausage. Its one of the few things I look forward to while frequenting this restaurant.

My friend and I found this place by accident and I’m so happy we did!The good:The veggie burger was terrific — it’s not easy to make a good veggie burger!The omelette was really great — the ingredients were pretty standard yet the flavour was complex and they worked well.THE PEACH JAM WAS TO DIE FOR — it’s homemade by the owner.Love that it seriously is a simple, brunch place from open to close (so you don’t feel awkward ordering waffles at 4pm when everyone else is having ribs or something)Server was friendly, and food came relatively quickly.Nice location especially if you wanted to do a little wandering around after you’re done eating.The not so good:The menu offered things that weren’t available — doughnuts were sold out for the day.The bellini was suggested by our server and it was smaller than expected and just fine tasting — not worth the 8$It was a little cold and the music a bit too loud.

Ordered my food 20 minutes later no one updated me on my order. When I asked the comment was”there is a waiting list so it will 20 minutes is about right.” 5 minutes later my food came out. This is the third time in the last few weeks and never been this level of service. I like the food but customer service interaction could be better.

We ordered online from here for the first time and are pretty disappointed. My husbands order was missing syrup and sriracha (the chicken and waffles) and both meals were *incredibly bland* tasting. Hometown Diner comes very highly recommended so I am not sure if their food just doesnt travel well for ordering in and they clearly have a poor system forgetting to add essential ingredients.

Had a shot of espresso - not my fave, but also not terrible, and Huevos Rancheros. Really nice presentation, fresh yummy ingredients, but a little bit too much for me. It was rich, and had a few to many saucy/mushy elements. The diner was bright, clean and had a ton of plants (my fave part).

We ordered meals to go and it was wonderful! Hot and ready at the time selected for pick up. Beautifully packaged and was just as good as sitting in the restaurant.

It’s always a wonderful experience at Hometown diner. It’s our fave place to go to for brunch. We have been pretty nervous about going to a restaurant recently with Covid numbers being so high but we haven’t gone anywhere except the grocery store since last summer so we decided to get brunch the other day at Hometown and their Covid precautions very good. I felt very safe and their wait staff is very friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again soon. I would really like to help out a local business that’s doing things the right away. Also, I’ve had the best donut I’ve ever had in my life there. If they have the “coconut vanilla crunch donut” there when you go, do your stomach a favor and get it!

Food and service was excellent!! Great breakfast place!!

We had brunch here, I had the scramble as pictured. I really enjoyed it, it had a good portion of ham and sausage as well as these fantastic cheese curds that were super flavourful. Poached eggs were such that they leaked out yolk to combine with the hollandaise. The coffee was really good too. Overall the vibes of the place were hip and welcoming. If I lived in Saskatoon I would go here regularly. Also, the fresh donuts are super good, crisp with good chew and icing that doesn’t melt until you eat it.

Todays visit to hometown diner deserved 5 stars. It was busy but we got a notification when a table was ready (so we could enjoy the sunshine while we waited); food was stellar, service was prompt, friendly, and accurate; and I appreciate that there are 3 (well-kept) bathrooms. Wonderful job, team!

We had the chocolate cherry cheesecake and double chocolate skor donut. Both were excellent. The cherry cheesecake was our favorite, it had real cream cheese and cherries. Both were freshly baked. Good coffee as well. Came on a Saturday at 2pm, and didnt have to wait to be seated. Nice ambience! Would come back again.

Great service and the best eggs Benny with ham that Ive had I think.

There was a little bit of a wait when we arrived, so we were directed to a little area away from the door with benches and coffee. The place was very busy, but we were seated in under 15 minutes and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. I tried the chicken and waffles after much deliberation and cleaned my plate. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!

Eggs Benny was good. The hot cakes were not. Basically cardboard. Service was average what you’d expect. It was obnoxiously loud in there tho and not a very peaceful place to eat. If you don’t want to yell at your friends when you eat this isn’t the place.
