Nice clean updated store. Friendly helpful staff. They had frozen chicken breasts for just over a dollar a pound! I use the word had because I brought most of it... Sorry. Its a pretty standard grocery store, I dont really know what to say about it that stands out. They had a lot of nice deals going, I saved 64 dollars off a 210 dollar grocery run. A good month worth of food for my family.

Was really wanting a 8 piece cut up fresh chicken. Didnt have any..and much of the fresh chicken, was frozen. But it was the new self checkouts that really got me. Really..sensitive . After the 3rd time we needed help, we just asked the gal to stay until we were done. Which she did.

My loving husband bought me and my daughter 2 one dozen vased red rose flower arrangements and not even 12 hours later they were DEAD!!!! DO NOT BUY FLOWERS FROM A GROCERY STORE!!!! BUY FLOWERS FROM A REAL FLOWER SHOP. THEY ARE PREMIUM AND GORGEOUS!!!

Good in-town market. Not the greatest one Ive been too however. Its a nice place to get groceries, flowers, and a cup of coffee. First time check-out was a little bit confusing however, but none the less, its a great place to shop. Im just glad it isnt a walmart

Close to campus and if you are a student/faculty and have their member card (I have the key fob) then prices are not that bad. I like their caribou coffee bar, sushi, the specialty foods like mochi ice cream balls, and seafood selection. They have frog legs, for example. Their discount meat bin is alway fun to check out. The liquor shop has a decent selection of wine n craft beers.

Very well kept grocery store... has a Caribou Coffee and liquor store inside... youd never know by looking at it... decent prices, slightly higher than Wal-Mart but for local grocery its as good as youll get!

What a strange liquor store. I work promotional marketing. I have years of Off Premise experience. First, Im told that I would have to leave early because Leinenkugels was coming...but, strangely the leftover cans were already in the crate where singles are sold. when doing a sampling at this place, only one of each can will be out and the rest can go into the dollar crate...so, being that Leine was in the crate, they were not coming. But, I was allowed to stay because I also passed a test to see if I would card the managers son. Yes, I was tested...it was bizarre. I was also told that the ice bucket should be used as a trash can. So, where would the beer go so it does not get warm? In the cooler, where else? I had requested ice to be placed in the bucket instead. First and last time at Family Fresh.

Aesthetically pleasing grocery store. Complete with a Caribou Coffee and a nice fireplace. Great place to hang out!

I cant fathom how this business has 4.2 stars.Literally every time I shop here, they are out of SOMETHING I need. And no, this is not due to the pandemic, because this has been going on for YEARS. Its like they have no idea how to order stock.On top of that, they dont bother to enforce the mask mandate. So not only do they have no idea how to keep product in stock, they also dont seem to care at all about keeping themselves or their customers safe.Its pretty disappointing that River Falls has 2 grocery stores, yet if you want to have a good shopping experience you end up having to drive to Hudson. But I guess Ill waste the gas since I seem to have to go to multiple places to find what I want anyway.You are no longer getting my money Family Fresh. And you certainly do not deserve 4.2 stars.

I have supported their bakery for years and will not ever again. I am not one to complain or make a fuss. Not only did my daughters birthday cake come out looking sloppy and lopsided, it was completed late, and all the topping decorations that should have came with the cake were missing.I asked for a small discount and got a hard “no”! So disappointed.

I just moved to river falls yesterday from Oklahoma. I stopped in for a few things this morning. This is a fantastic store. Love the extensive deli. Theres a huge variety of hot and cold food to choose from. The bread selection is outstanding! And the meat market with butchers behind the counter- oh my word! Yall have not seen the last of me! Love love love your store!

Moderate small town grocery store - nothing spectacular or fancy and not a lot of specialty or organic foods, but it gets the job done for essentials.

Nice store, lots of variety, staff was very pleasant, only a four because I thought the fresh fruit prices were to high, and thats comparing them to prices in Ashland.

Pricey, but what you gonna do...

My order total came to like $63 today with the $9.95 delivery fee. There were two items that were two for the price of one. You think that Fast Lane people are decent enough that when you order b a deal its because its a deal that you are ordering it but on both items they sent me one of each. When I called to let them know, the rude guy told me that the company policy says that you have to put two items in your cart. I think an honest company should not pull a fast one on their customers. I live half a mile from them and $15 of that $63 was for the delivery after I gave the driver another $5. What really bothered me the most was the rudeness of the guy on the phone than the highway robbery that just happened today. No honesty or decency

Have everything you need plus great service.

Good fresh produce, good variety, fast checkout lines and self checkout was great. Most everything I needed was there and easy to find. Plenty of parking available. The only reason it isnt 5 stars is because of a package that was already open, which was probably just a manufacturing defect because the food in it was still fresh.

Prices posted on the shelf never ring up correctly. A lot of the staff is rather abrasive and unfriendly. Had to ask for a price check and found out after the phone call from the floor employee to the cashier he was still going to charge me full price! I walked back to the department to inquire and she said she told him I was right and to change it. Unbelievable. He lied to me and for some reason wanted to charge me incorrectly. So disappointing.

We ordered groceries via the delivery option and here they are ar the front step on time and as they should be!! Fantastic service from a small town grocery store taking care of the small town they are in!! Thank you so much!!!

Nice small town full service grocery store, besides standard groceries, they have a Deli, Meat section (Butcher), Bakery, Floral, Liquor, Pharmacy, and a Caribou Coffee next to a seating area where people can enjoy their coffee and/or deli selections...very clean & well stocked, decent prices, friendly staff...carts in two sizes & totes...customer loyalty cards...Senior Discount Wednesdays...convenient location on South Main Street between Walnut & Locust downtown, ample parking...my go-to local market.

Enjoyed shopping here better than Walmart in my opinion.

The meat is incredibly fresh and tasty at the butcher and their prices are good! They have a great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables!

Love...love...love the sushi here. It is made fresh every morning, and it is nicely priced. If you have a quick craving for sushi for lunch, you cant go wrong stopping here.

Update May 2018: they rearranged​ all the aisles, but what is most peculiar is all the pop and junk food are now prominently placed in the front two ailes closest to the door, whereas before they near the middle / back. They also dont stock as much of the natural Hansons and Blue sky sodas anymore. Makes it too easy to suspect kickbacks. Shopping more at Dicks these days.Jan 2018: This store uses club cards and if you dont have one or forget to enter your number you pay full price not the listed sale price. And they post lots of sale prices that arent really sales. For example 4 cents off of a 4 dollar product. Also tried to charge $5 for potatoes listed at 1.50 (WITH club card). Watch out at the checkout.

It was an okay experience- the selection was decent for a grocery store, self checkout weighing machines are touchy and causes delays that make it inneficient for a fast trip in and out. However the staff are very polite and friendly which makes the time there significantly more enjoyable.

Great staff, nice shop, and they imported green chile, which means they win.

Good selection of foods and liquor here. The meat selection is actually great. I get some smaller steaks nearly every time I come. Everything is laid out nice and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Pharmacy is horrible. The pharmacists responsible for my brothers prescription refused to refill his medications because she didn’t actually read his prescription and assumed he didn’t actually need it yet when he did, causing him to call for two days with no call back or explanation and be out of his NEEDED meds for two days. Unacceptable.

The pharmacy people is like always mad at people and they never say thank you or good bye or have a good day. I think is trash and I think that you should fire the people in the pharmacy and get peoples.

Very good services, nice range of options in all departments. Only criticism is aisle arrangement is not intuitive. But I can someone to help me. The self checkout is good.

Very clean store, open late which is helpful! In a very convenient location of town, easy to get to, large parking lot. Super friendly workers, always willing to help. Self-checkouts are convenient to have for the smaller quantities of items to skip any lines in the main lanes, but usually pretty fast checkout either way. Caribou inside is also a nice touch!

Great grocery store with many options. I can usually find all my groceries here. Can be a little pricey even with the savings options, but I dont usually need to shop at a different store to find everything. Not bad overall. You can use reusable bags at checkouts. They also have a few self checkouts.

Around 9:00am I stop in before a noon shift so that I’ll have lunch at work and I am always impressed that there is fresh sushi made everyday! This is great sushi 🍣The man making the sushi is so friendly as well!

Its a bit pricey, but in a small town like River Falls thats to be expected. The produce section is good, though, and I like their natural health products section. The pharmacy staff is very nice, as well as the rest of the staff Ive encountered. Get a MyRewards card! Its worth the three minute registration.

This WAS the best place to shop. Small town feel with great service and awesome employees. Family fresh is now just another corporation implanting itself in a small town. Im sure they have fired a few people to make way for there trashy self checkout line. And the fresh card you basically need to shop? And whats with the un-user friendly kiosk. What do the cards even do? Ive asked a few employees with different answers. Whatever happened to heres my money thanks for the goods and service. These corporate pigs treat us like trained monkeys. The employees are still top notch!

Clean, organized and decent employees. Prices are high in comparison to competition. Not a fan of their yes club...hard to grasp the concept but its like pay 49 bucks a year to get sale prices??? Wierd.

Online ordering is better with the new Fast Lane system. Still wish they would enable barcode scanning using a cell phone to build a grocery list for online ordering.The online ordering is spot-on 99% of the time. I have had a few oddballs, but they are seriously 1 in 100. The annual fee of $49 for as many orders as you want to place is a way better deal than the $4.99 per order deal they used to have.

So every small town has a local grocery store that everyone shops at. Here in RF we have two but I think it is safe to say that most of the people in town shop at Econo Foods or as my wife and I still call it from time to time More4, which dates us a lot but I dont care. The problem with that small town grocery store is they totally rape you on almost everything you buy!!Pros:The staff are all very friendly and willing to help any way they can. The meat department is actually pretty good, I like to shop in the section for stuff that is getting close dated. I have bought rib-eyes steaks for $4 per pound! The bakery is very good, we have bought many a birthday cake, and also like their homemade buns and rolls. Also the liquor store is very well stocked.Cons:******PRICES***** are really outrageous on some things. If you stick to the weekly sale items you can do pretty good. Cart full of groceries can be $150, same cart load at Aldis is $90

My first impression, walking in, was a welcome feeling. It has everything that I need in the store at competitive prices. Very clean and organized place. The cashier was very enjoyable. I was able to relax at the caribou coffee area and grab a quick, affordable lunch too.

Am a Senior Citizen! Go Wednesday mornings! Too much stocking shelves going on and big carts in front of things a person needs to get at!

While the food was good, there were few options of ready to eat foods offered by the deli, the hot bar and salad bar for example were not stocked at 12 in the afternoon,

I ordered cupcakes for my daughters gender reveal party, I asked for half chocolate and half white to go with pink frosting and half chocolate and half white to go with blue frosting. I picked up the cupcakes the morning of the party, to find all chocolate with blue frosting and all white with pink frosting. Not what was ordered, no apologies, and paid full price still. Ill never order bakery from them again.

This store has a good deli, bakery and meat section, but otherwise isnt any different than any other grocery store in my opinion. To get the advertised sales, you need to have their Yes club card. I have a friend who doesnt like to have his purchases tracked, so he wont shop there.

Introduced a foolish membership card system and replaced their efficient check outs with garbage self checkouts. Now it is unlikely you will ever shop here without standing in line for an unreasonable amount of time while the staff ask you to take your two weeks of groceries to the shitty self service line.Bad move, I guess Ill just go to Dicks market moving forward...

Family Fresh is your typical grocery store. Between Family Fresh and Dicks IGA, Ive found that proteins are more affordable here, but vegetables run a little more.
