I called in a few minutes after store opening to see if they would look up a few single cards for me, so that I wouldn’t have to drive 30 minutes for no reason. The person helping me told me he can’t cause it’s so “hectic” over there. Just wanted to say I was ready to spend about $500 on a few rare cards. Never recommending this shop to anyone.

Owned by a couple, theyre knowledgeable in the products they sell and are always able to help find something. Primarily, they sell tabletop games and accessories: like model miniatures, play mats, dice, full board games, and even a selection of paints for creating your custom models. They also carry a fair amount of Magic the gathering and pokemon accessories; I visit the store for Warhammer 40k models and paints, definitely a good place to go if you want to get started into a new hobby.

It was my first time in the shop and I was curious as to what GMI games had to offer. I was considering starting a Warhammer collection because I heard of the selection they had, but the entire time I was browsing, someone was watching me. The big obvious LED light flashing my way every time I went to go check something else out made me feel really unwelcome. I was the only person shopping around at the time at that. Thank you I won’t be coming back.

My bf lost his magic deck so we went in to buy packs nd the owner was very nice in helping out

Its nice to have a mom & pop rpg store here in Riverside. Great selection of D&D, Pathfinder and Warhammer book. Tons of board games too. So be sure to visit this gem...pun intended!

Came on Thursday for magic standard showdown was the only one there was walking around for like 20 min could not tell worked here and who didnt till finally someone asked me, if I needed something i let them know I was there for magic waited for 15 more mins to see if anyone showed up no one did I had called before going and they made it seem like they get going I wish they would have been honest and told me they were not going to have it and I would have at least not wasted my time u will never come to this place again

The lady was to busy on the phone barely addressing our questions. No individual mtg cards on display not even from current set. Terrible place was definitely a waste of time.

I have been coming to this place for years. The owner is so inviting and remembers everyone. The new location has an awesome gaming room plus the merchandise is always well stocked. They carry the best items, including some harder to find pieces, and the owner knows her stuff! Staff is always knowledgable about the products. My kids enjoy the weekly events (pre-quarantine) and we cannot wait to go back!

A store with well knowledged, like minded individuals. Id you are looking for this place, for any reason, you probably fit right in. You know what youre getting into when searching for cards or board games.As of this review, they WERE still renovating their place. So it might not have the look of what someone might want but this can be edited out in time so take this section with a grain of salt.All in all it was very welcoming and safe feeling. You can bring children or just stop by for like minded people

I dont know... The new place is a work in progress but is definitely going to look nicer. The extra space is great.I rarely ever come here because I didnt enjoy the atmosphere or the customer service very much the times I have come. It always seemed to be much more of a miniatures based store which is just not my cup of tea. And I always felt like they just didnt really care about the other stuff.They have a reasonable stock of board games and other odds and ends. Ill go there for special events and thats about it...

My first visit to the new store, and it was nice. The bathroom was great and plenty of store space. Thumbs up will go again

GMI games has pretty much everything when it comes to hobbying. Great staff, events and people that go there. If I was closer I would go more often!

The store doesnt look like much on the outside, but when inside you will realize it is much bigger than it seems! Thus place had a large selection of tabletop and card games, very friendly staff, and if you paint miniatures, this is the spot to go for minis paints, and painting supplies! They have all the big brands like citadel, and a huge array of colors.I am definitely coming back here again.

Nice little family owned game store. Table top, card, RPG, D&D, you name it, they have it. And, they also run different games in the evenings and on the weekends.

Pretty cool here. Usual game shop atmosphere. However there was this little older lady working the counter that didnt seem to fit. But when I got up there with some paints she asked what army for 40k u play and when I said space wolves she straight up scoffed at me. Totally made my day. Also they have a pretty legit membership.

Im just learning to play magic, and the people here were so helpful and kind. I got to play a couple matches, got booster packs, and Patrick taught me how to build a deck. Im so coming back!

Family owned and operated for many years, you cant go wrong here for your RPG gaming needs. They even have live gaming in the back, so check their schedule.

This place is great, very friendly owners and very knowledgeable. They sell everything from the premium Games Workshop miniatures to the vet affordable Reaper minis. They also have a large room with tables for any game you might wanna play. Good selection of GW paints, and Vallejo and Vallejo Air.

GMI is an awesome place to play your table top miniatures games. Catherine is very nice and they have a great stock of Warhammer 40k stuff. We love playing tournaments here!

Good store, good community. I come here for 40k supplies and games and their prices are usually pretty good. Tables in the back to play anything really, rarely will the store be empty. People are always playing DnD or 40k or other stuff. Also a bunch of terrain that you can borrow in-store to play your wargame of choice

Store has good selection. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. However its very difficult to actually play here.Its terribly unfriendly to new people. Its not the staff, its the players. They open leagues and dont let new people join. Ive gone many times and no one plays with new people here. The employees are fun people and I really enjoyed spending my money there. HOWEVER you wont find any games Its true its a great store with unfriendly customers. which is a shame because i suspect Im not the only new person thats decided to avoid this store and the hobby. Its terrible to new players. You wont find a game.

Local game store in the Riverside area. Focus is definitely on miniatures, although they do have an assortment of board games for purchase. They do have play areas, but those appear to be more for miniatures players. No demo library of games to try to my knowledge. Staff was ok but not hugely welcoming. Half the store was dark so it didnt seem like you could just show up any time with a few friends to play.

Friendly owners, good selection in the inventory, welcoming folks during their weekly D&D night, fair prices on tabletop gaming items. Only downside is that the atmosphere is a bit industrial.

Awesome place just started to play DND, got my first mini and dice here. Great place. We walked in because Google says they store dose not close untill 12am but the hours on the door say closes at 10pm it was 1030, the lady behind the counter was very nice and said it is fine because they still have some Bored games going. They have a room where you can play most bored games there. Awesome place you should go there.

I went there for board games and was delighted they had a good selection of them (catan, timeline, roll for it, pandemic just to name some). The store also had warhammer, D & D books, paints, as well as space to play games (think they were playing magic).The woman working was super nice and friendly. I felt very welcome. Cant wait to go back!

Been going here for MTG prereleases for several years now. Always a decent size crowd(50-100), and free pizza at midnight. Staff is friendly and the players are always nice to new people. Will continue to go here for MTG events.

Such a great selection of table top games, minis, dice and of course trading card games. They can be a bit rude, or awkward in general but they are good people. Nice play area and their events are always amazing.

This is a great place for people who play a ton of games on there game boxs. They buy back and will exchange old games. Only if the quality of the game is worth it.

Went to ixalan open house and was welcomed and given a deck. Everyone was nice and being a noob I thought I wouldnt fit in. I was taught how to play and had an amazing time here. I ended up buying an ixalan deck builder and will be heading back to maybe get a buy a box set.

Overall good store the staff is very helpful if you cant find what you want they will order it for you and give you an estimation when your product will be in. Carries Malifaux, 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine/Hordes and Magic with an assortment of boardgames and dog books. Very knowledgeable and the staff doesnt pretend if they dont know a game but can usually tell you a regular who does know it.

They have a lot of tables to play on, but not much to buy. Somebody posted on Facebook that they do Warmachine and X-Wing groups, but went on a weekday and nobody was there playing yet. Didnt have much stock, OK X-Wing selection but Warmachine stuff was pretty sparse. fair board game selection, but not as much as Monstore. The tables do look REALLY good, they let me walk around and look at terrain, mostly 40k stuff but a lot of things that would work with Warmachine and Malifaux and maybe Infinity. A lot of the reviews mention the owners being jerks, but they seemed OK to me, I just wish they carried more stuff. Not really worth a trip unless you plan on playing.
